Guitar Hero IV needs to change its name since it's going to jack the entire band thing from Rock Band.

Is it just me or do they poop out Guitar Hero games as if they're made of gold or something? I could swear they haven't released the original game that long ago.

The original came out in 2005. They've released three so far with not just one but two slated for release this year. Activision will beat the series into the ground for every last penny.

If they release a new drum set that has more pads so the Rock Band one won't work with it, I'm staying away from GH.

I probably won't get it. At this point, Activision is just screwing the series like a decrepit whore

>_>

Wait, what the hell did I just say?

Bah internet.

BAH.

A drumset w/ four drums, 2 cymbals, plus a bass pedal? That's pretty damn close. Now you need a high hat pedal and you have an entire real drumset. Shit that's gonna be alot to keep track of.

Actually, it only has 3 drums.

Even so, that's one more pad than the RB one has. Oh well.

I'm probably staying away from Guitar Hero unless they really impress me.

Rock the 80's=4 games.
Rock Band jacked the system from them, and they jacked it from DDR.

If anything, they took it from Guitar Freaks, not DDR.

Also Rock Band didn't jack shit from Guitar Hero since it is made by the parent company. I hate all the fucking plastic that's between the drum heads on the Guitar Hero drumset. Fuck ever shelling out that much money for a single game again.

That type of comment makes me happy that I didn't buy the game.

What type of comment? I'm happy with my purchase as I've played the game more than any other 360 game I own, but Activision expecting to have everyone lining up to drop another fat wad of cash down for their game is kind of insane. If they would just make it compatible with the already existing instruments it would be alright.

Agreed.

I actually think Rock Band will still probably be better than GHIV.

I think Rock Band needs some Pearl Jam/Alice in Chains action going on. Guitar Hero gets all of that to themselves. Even Flow is probably my most played song in GHIII.

Yes, I have been listening to all my old grunge albums. Dirt, Ten, Superunknown. Good stuff.
