I'm not worried. I just think it's funny that there's so much static on the an issue that shouldn't even an issue, you know? They're just getting started. I don't think their ambitions are beyond what they ought to be. It's been focuses on fun the whole time. And this will always be the main board. One can equate it with having several games: Just because you buy a new one doesn't mean the older ones are less important. It just gives you more to have fun with. How boring to only have one single place to meet. How can a different environment be such a terrible thing if it's friendly and respectful. This board is successful because of each individual member. If 5 of us left it wouldn't be the same, despite what others may think. Case in point: When WoC was gone the posting slowed down immensely. There's 91 members here but how many of them are actually active? What good is that? If there are only ever 10 members at Phazon Core and all of them are active then it would be a (small) success. |

The problem is that there was always a reason when we switched to a new board. A valid reason. This time, all that happens is that you split the amount of users and traffic between both boards, which is not very helpful to either board. Basically, I still don't see the reason why this board exists, besides the fact that it just does. So I don't see why I should join it; we just got this board set up and with a steady user base. Oh, and for the record Donnie, the Emon Hotel didn't die out; we moved to Phant's board because some people were bothered by Kure. If kure didn't stalk it, I doubt we would even be here now, but back at the Hotel instead. Regardless, I miss the days of the Emon Hotel. Good times, good times. |

Oh, BTW Pinkette, the reason why posting slowed down when WoC left wasn't as much because of him, but his habit of always getting the last post in a topic. I still think his post count doesn't acuratly reflect his "real" posts. |

Very valid points. I like the examples that involve members actually being active. I think we've already gone through something like this though with the "rival" (I use that term loosely) board, AMW. Or did that scuffle involve another issue? I'll have to try and remember it more clearly. See why I <3 Cade? Smart woman, she is. ;)
Valid point there, too. We didn't hop around boards for nothing. However, if people can cope with an alternative hanging around, I hardly see any problem. And I agree about the days of the Emon Hotel. It used to be us, Choco, TGW, Devil Wolf, GXion, Phantasium, Owly and many others...hell, even PO! We were just running around, having a good time. That place holds some great memories. Stupid kure ruining our fun... http://darthno.ytmnd.com |

I've had numerous conversations with him on this board and so has Tyler, Phazon, and TaCo. Many people have. He's a good conversationalist, what can I say? He reponds to things quickly and rarely posts anything I would label as spam. In the time that he was gone I didn't come here for a couple of days because hardly any topics were even touched on. I see numerous topics I have the last post on as well. I think now I have more than him, actually... For the record, I value your opinion, but I personally can't see what's so bad about it. If you want to join, join. If not, then don't. No one is being forced to. I haven't been here for very long and I'm only slightly familiar with all of you. So I haven't heard of many offshot boards. Apparently you have and I can certainly understand you being upset about another one being created but there's no harm and no foul done. |

I am not upset about a board being created. If someone wants to make a board, it is within their rights to do so, and more power to them. It is just that I don't understand why they are making it, which is where my problem with it lies. And I never said WoC wasn't a good conversationist. I too have had many a good conversation with him, both on and off the board. But my point still stands as something I have observed. |

Nice to know I'm good with conversation.
:) Half the reason for the new board is that here on PM, users are on, but away from the keyboard half the time. If 10 members would be on most of the time actually at their computer, I consider that a success as much as 90 people doing 25 things at once. And Seto, there's no denying I posted a lot, and when I was gone my posts were gone, so the posts that would respond to my posts were also gone. It slowed down. |

It also seems just talking about this new board creates life here, this is the first time I've seen 5 people posting at once. |

Aww, thank you. <3
I can see what you're saying. I'm hearing more and more that there are quite a few boards that have been created. There are probably thousands of PotD offshoot boards too. I'm just trying to be respectful and understand too. And I'm trying to be unbiased as well because, truthfully, I like all of you. I just don't want anyone's ideas or desires to be stifled. Thanks for bearing with me. |

The thing is, I do not understand why users being AFK won't be a problem for this new board too. Personally, I am happy with how this board works. Just like with the Hotel, it was a small amount of users who are very close with each other. I would rather the board be slow and I enjoy the company of everyone here than a big, busy board where you might not connect with other users as well. When I do want a busy board, I'll just go and post on PotD. |

Actually I don't care about how big this board gets, That's why I didn't care about this AMW-PM war... |

It won't be as much as a problem because me, Phazon, TaCo, and Cade don't want AFK'ness to be a problem, that's half the reason. A smaller place that's more active between the users. Just like the hotel, except no third party (kure) running around getting people (owl) banned. |

People cared about that? Or was it just AMW that cared about it? I just remember being busy getting stuff for this board online during that time, not with how active we were. |

I like the feel of this board too. For me the offshoot boards are good because there's another place to chill and communicate with people I llike. Yeah, I forgot how fast-paced PotD is... |

PotD is getting worse by the day. I'll still come here, but like was said above, it's just another place to communicate. |
