So, if this is Project Daedalus why do we all end up like Icarus? There are a lot of things your average person doesn't know. It could be because they simply don't care to or it could be that there are things being kept in the dark...figuratively or literally. This is probably both. Project Daedalus exists to battle or safeguard secrets. It is, in itself, a secret. You see, the things that the people at the Project deal with aren't technically accepted as things that actually exist. Storybook things, magical things, monsters, that is Project Daedalus's bread and butter. They give the things that go bump in the night a bump back. It's interesting work, to be sure, but it's definitely dangerous work as well. Sure, you've probably seen some of this stuff on TV but it doesn't exactly compare to living it. You never know what you're going up against one minute to the next and you know you're probably never going to live to retire; but hey, it's not a desk job, right? Most of the time anyway. Welcome to Project Daedalus, Edinburgh. The work is all that above and possibly taking a turn to the worst. There has been an influx of incidents for months now; more hauntings, sightings, and bodies in the underground than ever before and so far there's no indication as to why. Something is happening and the team is going to have to figure it out, and fast. |
