The fog of Murmur twisted and mingled as the sun started to sink lower in the sky, eager to plunge the world into the darkness of night. It was Eisen's preferred time of day, especially these days. Even when she felt off, being in the shadows still felt right, at least. The tiny demon fox had materialized between the shadows of two buildings in Malral, and scampered to the edge of town, where she released all five of her current pokemon. The sixth slot was taken up by an egg, to be with the other two eggs she had received on Halloween. They still hadn't hatched, seeing that she quickly became occupied being mortally injured shortly after. Eisen tried not to think about that, adjusting a pair of thin black gloves she had gotten to keep her hands warm, tucked into the long sleeves of her red shirt. "I figure a nice little outing is in order before I go after Reshiram. To make sure I'm back on my game," Eisen turned to look over her shoulder when she didn't get a response, and saw Coyote and Vanguard standing opposite of Winifred, Mikasa, and Frank. The crow and fox looked... not exactly suspicious of their new teammates, but not accepting either. Winifred and Mikasa were hopeful, and Frank looked like he could care less. "Oh, come on you two. You act like I've never gotten new pokemon before," she rolled her eyes, stepping out into the foggy swamp, listening to it crunch under her feet. The fog was incredibly thick, no matter what time of day or year it was, but Eisen was one of the few that could do something about it. Raising her hands before her, she clapped suddenly. It echoed much louder then it should have, and the fog was blown away as if by an explosion of air going off. The woman sniffed, surveying the stars clearly visible above. "That should make things a little easier. Wonder what kinda key this fucker needs," she waved for her lot to follow, and headed out over the half crunchy, half squishy swampy ice. Teleporting into Malral and stepping out immediately into the valley. (Frozen Foggy Swamp) Making this her NC thread, her canon thread fucks off somewhere else. Blowing the fog away, and looking for Darkrai's emblem. Also wouldn't be against finding: Hawlucha, huh I thought there'd be more. 3 // Hello! My name is Jin and I'll be your server for this quest. It was brought to my attention that this needed doing. I can do my best. It is my job to make Eisen's life miserable, but I will be making it miserable constantly - at the rate of around one post every two days, if possible. -x- The fog cleared to the sound of menacing laughter. The laughter was the fog's itself, or else it was the night's, or the moon's, because it had no other face and it surrounded everything. It was the raucous black laughter of condescension, and it filled the air more thickly than the fog; it came from all directions at once. The icy landscape became suddenly naked, but for this noise, and it glittered like the blade of a knife under the black sky. The creatures that lived in the fog looked around themselves with fearsome eyes. They hated being this exposed, hated to see the hideous faces of their neighbors and be judged by them in turn. A ragged-looking carnivine, with icicles for brows and blood on its face, shattered a piece of frozen swamp and dove into it like a panicked snake. A tangela, frost-bitten and dowdy, sat quivering over the entrance to a large burrow. A deerling bared its teeth at Eisen, eyes brimming with pure violence. It held its ground, but it was poised to attack. The tangela, frightened, let itself fall into the hole and disappear. The landscape, otherwise, was still: it was a blue-white patchwork of swamp and ice, where one step was solid and the next gave way to deathly cold water.

3 If you can actually make Eisen miserable, I'll give you a cookie. Eisen was a little surprised that there was so much wildlife so close. She had traversed through this area once before, and had absolutely hated it because of the fog. What else was the heavy mist concealing from sight? Luckily for the two very flammable, fleeing pokemon, Eisen had less than zero interest in setting anything on fire right now. Vanguard, however, was another story, and prowled forward like she was going to follow the carnivine and rip it to shreds. "Vanguard, knock it off." The demon zoroark heavily thunked her butt back onto the ice, and blew a raspberry at the place the grass type had disappeared. Lucky little grumble grumble... While the other two pokemon fled, one stayed, looking ready for a fight. Eisen silently admired its courage, given that Vanguard just radiated 'I want to watch the world burn' vibes nearly all the time constantly. Still, she had no reason to punish it for its bravery, and in fact, she wondered if it could be useful to them. "Hey hey, woah," Eisen put her hands up towards the deer, adopting her smoothest voice. It was weird... she felt like she hadn't been a smooth bastard in a while. Clearly, that needed to change. "Look, we're not here to hurt you. We're looking for something. Maybe we could help each other here," taking her eyes off of the deer, Eisen reached into the pocket of her vest, and pulled out a watmel. The berry was held up on display to the deer before Eisen crouched and rolled it towards her. "I don't know what we're looking for, but it's either something dark, evil, or nightmarish. Sound familiar? Or do you know of anything else weird in this area?" Eisen stayed crouched, arms resting on her knees, the half frozen swamp biting at her feet through her shoes. She hoped the deer would help them. It had balls, for being a girl. And if the deer was stupid enough to grab the berry and run without helping them, well... Vanguard was fast and she could breathe fire. The deer wouldn't live long enough to regret its mistake. She sat next to Eisen, smoldering quietly. The rest of Eisen's murder of pokemon was clustered behind her, doing their best to look non-threatening. Coyote sat on her shoulder, a feathery bundle of annoyance at the cold. Almost as though he was bored, Frank trotted away from the group and over to the hole the tangela had gone into, peering inside curiously. If nothing of interest stuck out at him, he trotted over to the other hole to inspect that one too. Frozen Foggy Swamp Looking for Darkrai's emblem. Also wouldn't be against running into a hawlucha. 3 ![]() This little deer had the face of a gremlin. Its eyes were bloodshot and its face was heavily scarred from frostbite. Its teeth were exposed, sharp, crooked, and bloody. Its body was a ragged mess of muscle on top of bone but the flesh was torn here and there and bits of ice made hideous white patches like some kind of disease. The deer flashed its wicked eyes at Eisen, and at the giant watermelon-fruit she rolled forward. It pawed towards it. It dug its messy face into the fruit, bursting it, and let itself be covered in the red stains of its juice. It forgot about Eisen; it kept eating. The deerling, now satisfied, was useless. It kept baring its fangs at everything around it and though it didn't run from Eisen, it was either too frozen-in-the-brain or too savage now to understand and respond. It acted like a cat under spotlight, alternating between preening and hissing. The red stains on its face did nothing to help its appearance. It gave Eisen another mean hiss, for good measure. Frank, meanwhile, noted that the one hole in the icy landscape was not only much larger than it initially appeared - the tangela had, apparently, stretched its vine-like limbs all across its opening - but also that he could see no tangela at the bottom. In fact, he could see nothing at the bottom. He'd only see a wide hole in the snow, and then blackness, a little like Alice's rabbit hole but much colder and without a well-dressed unpunctual bunny to chase down it. Icicles formed all around the mouth of the hole, almost like fangs. It was wide enough for even a large human or pokémon to fall through, and it glittered with the same hint of laughter that filled the sky. Edited by Jin White, Feb 9 2014, 08:12 AM.

3 ![]() Well, she had been hopeful, but clearly for nothing. No matter. She hadn't been giving the berry away; it had intended to be for an exchange. Now the deerling had to give something back to them. All Eisen had to do was glance down at Vanguard, and the zoroark leapt at the unspoken command, smoke trailing from her mouth and shadows from her mane. The deerling was ragged and savage, but Vanguard was well-groomed and savage. She planned on proving it by seizing the deerling's throat in her jaws and snapping its fucking neck, and shredding its body into little pieces with her claws. Eisen looked away from the incoming bloodbath, noticing Frank lurking around off to the side. The sylveon daintily circled the hole in question, his powdered pink exterior sticking out against the terrain. Hoping that it was going to be more useful then the deerling, she headed over to see. "Well, that's a hole," she stopped next to it, leaning over to look in. She ignored Frank frowning at her stating the obvious, more focused on the hole itself. The laughter wasn't exactly a sound anymore, much closer to a feeling, and Eisen felt like it was coming from here. Without warning, she hopped into the darkness, Coyote squawking and jumping off from the shock of it. The bird hovered only long enough to realize what had happened, and then he dropped like a stone to follow Eisen. "This seems intelligent," Frank rolled his eyes, still on the edge. Winifred and Mikasa dove in after Coyote, leaving Frank with Vanguard. It wasn't much longer before the zoroark slid in too, cackling into the darkness. "At least it's not Yveltal," the sylveon hopped gracefully into the air before plunging down into the dark. Vanguard is a level 101 Zoroark, and pretty much any dark-type attack she does will ruin this deerling. But if you want a technical specific move, let's go night slash since she can't learn crunch. 3 ![]() Blood spurted from the deerling's neck, like a red geyser. It spilled hot and steaming over the frozen earth and it left rune-like shapes across the snow. The deerling's head tumbled as it fell and it still had that look of savage, insane wickedness even after being separated from its body. The eyes were two twisted, rolling marbles now covered in blood.
When the Zoroark joined the rest of the party down the rabbit hole, she'd find herself sliding - and then free falling - down a black mouth with seemingly no top and no bottom. Wind rushed past her ears, and it had the eery quality of resembling laughter as it whipped through her hair and her tail. There was blackness like a vacuum overhead, and more darkness like hell down below. Then it all stopped, and she felt herself hurled unceremoniously onto more ice and snow. The party arrived in a small cavern. The way back up was... distant, but a small circle of sky appeared like a mouth overhead. The walls to the cavern were blue-black, covered in ice. The ground was pristine, unvisited. When the party's eyes adjusted to the nightmarish blackness - if they did, at all - they'd notice that the small room they occupied was shaped like a tear-drop, with a black wall like a door at the narrowest point. Something was quivering amidst the darkness. The tangela, from earlier, squeaked and thrashed and wiggled its wide yellow eyes from side to side. It was basically pissing itself, but a tangela's piss is a bunch of noxious spores that have terrible side-effects on bystanders.

3 The laughter in the ice slide was very real; Vanguard herself was cackling as she fell, tongue flapping out of the side of her mouth. Because of her loud laughter, Eisen and the rest of them wouldn't hear the effect of sliding down into the darkness. They only heard the dark fox laughing. By the time Vanguard reached the others, they were all either halfway through picking themselves up, or already standing and looking around. Only Mikasa looked like she had landed on her feet, and she was the only one who had noticed the terrified tangela nearby. Next to the frog, Eisen straightened herself up, brushing off her vest and making sure she still had her hat. The bird took his place back on her shoulder, fluffy with annoyance. Coyote would have liked a warning, next time. If he was going to voice his concerns, he didn't get the chance to. Mikasa poked Eisen in the back of the leg, and pointed. At first, Eisen couldn't see anything, but that was easily fixed. Flash happened to be one of the Holy Mechanisms that she had, and she didn't need a pokemon to use them. The demon woman snapped her fingers, a tiny ball of very bright fire forming at the point of friction. She cupped her hand under it, and directed the light where Mikasa had pointed. Because of the wild pokemon's fright, the air around the grass type was already getting thick with spores, which made Eisen squeeze her eyes shut and sigh. Though she was a horrible, terrible person, she didn't make it their practice to decimate every pokemon that crossed their path. People were fair game. Not so much on the monsters. "Coy... put it to sleep, will you? Gently," she said quietly to the bird on her shoulder, not hiding the annoyance in her voice. He knew her well enough to know that she was annoyed regardless. His red eyes flickered as he focused on powers he didn't use often, aiming to pinch the tangela's brain so it stopped. "Well, this is charming," Frank wrinkled his nose as he took in their surroundings, which wasn't much even when lit by Eisen's 'magical' fire. Eisen ignored him, scanning the room. It was fairly obvious which direction to go, so when Coyote had finished, she turned and headed over to the single door. With the light still in her hand, Eisen raised her free hand and put it on the door to see if it moved. Coyote is a level 101 honchkrow, and he's using a (gentle) psychic on the tangela to knock it out. 3 ![]() -x- The door led to a room with a full moon on its floor. The full moon was tiled, but it looked and felt like cold rock that jutted from the icy ground. The room was dark, at the edges, but the full moon was bright: it was illuminated by a pool of starlight that fell, tauntingly, from a hole in the high-vaulted ceiling above. The moon was large, cratered, and from certain angles it appeared to be smiling. There was nothing else in the room, but the full moon, and the wall of the small chamber was as round as the motif on the floor. There was a dark door, behind Eisen, from which she entered. There was another door directly ahead of her. And then there were two more doors, to her left and her right - to the West, and to the East - and all the doors were identical, black, cold, caked with ice. Meanwhile, in the tear-shaped room of the antechamber, Coyote manhandled a clump of green vines. The little tangela had the initiative, in its fear; it was already streaming green-and-yellow spores; then suddenly its mind seemed to implode in a shock of pain and everything went black for the tangela. Coyote's wings cut through the spores, and they stuck to his feathers, and they weighed him down. When he tumbled through the dark door towards Eisen, he was afflicted with minor paralysis - - but more significantly, the dark door clicked and sealed and it gave the eery impression that going back to the familiar first room would lead to something altogether new. There were four doors, and a full moon in the center of the room. From North, East, South, and West, Darkrai was taunting the woman with his puzzle.

3 ![]() Eisen walked into the middle of the chamber, her pokemon hanging back around the edges of the moon. The demon woman had her eyes to the ground, looking at the tiles that formed the cold moon and all its ups and downs. It was easily the most interesting thing in the room, given that the doors were plain and exactly the same. It was a puzzle that didn't seem to have any direction, at this point anyway. All she had to go off of was the moon. Her contemplation of the floor was interrupted by the sounds of someone coughing. Frowning, she turned towards the door they had come through, seeing her bird stumble through the air towards her. Eisen scooped Coyote out of the air, letting him perch on her hand. "Couldn't get away from those spores, eh?" "Not with the way it was throwing them everywhere," Coyote sniffed, ruffling his feathers to shake the yellow spots off. To eliminate his discomfort, she pulled out a little green berry and handed it to him, which he eagerly swallowed and waited for the effects to hit his bloodstream and burn away the paralysis. The pokemon remaining at the outer edge looked curiously at the door as it clicked shut and became the same as the rest, leaving them in the middle of the puzzle. Hey, which way are we going? Vanguard scampered over to where Eisen was standing, settling down next to her. Eisen looked up again, to see if anything had changed, but it was all the same. She figured that it had something to do with the moon in the floor, but she couldn't be sure unless she saw the floors in the other rooms. At this point, she just had to make a decision. "Let's see where this way goes," she headed towards the door on the left of the way they had come in, to the west. Lum berry on Coyote to cure his paralysis. 5 left. West. 3 ![]() The black door melted from ice into nothing and then Eisen found herself in a second room. The door reappeared behind her, suddenly, and it sealed with a soft "ding" like the chime of a metal bell. When the sound faded, all was silent. The room she stood in was as dark and cold as the last, at its rounded walls, with a pool of dusted grey light in the center. This time, the moon on the floor was only three quarters full, the rest hidden by shadow. It was still an enormous, pregnant moon, filling the tiles of the small cavern, and it had the same suggestion of a lecherous smile; but a perfect fourth of it had disappeared as the shadow crossed its face. The air of the room was still, the light from above motionless, and Eisen would know she was safe. Four doors surrounded her. One was the door behind her, from which she entered, yet again she may have guessed that going backwards was not, exactly, the same as returning. That door was marked overhead with a golden "E." The other doors were marked in similar, scrawling letters, the gold carved directly against the black-blue ice over the three doorways: "N," "W," "S". Edited by Jin White, Feb 19 2014, 08:08 PM.

3 ![]() Eisen frowned with a heavily furrowed brow as the door chimed shut right behind her, the pack of present pokemon fanning out in front. They looked around, realizing the same thing that Eisen realized as soon as she entered; it was exactly the same as the last room, other then the floor. Exactly what she was expecting. The demon woman looked at the bird on her shoulder, an eyebrow quirked. This time, her pokemon ventured out onto the moon, careful of their bare feet on the cold floor. Phases of the moon, that much was obvious, but which door would lead them to the next phase? Vanguard looked up from the middle of the floor, looking to Eisen. "This can't be this easy," she murmured aside to Coyote, pushing off where she had leaned back and moving to join the rest of her pokemon. She went with her gut and didn't stop walking, crossing the room directly to the door on the opposite end. With no hesitation, she raised her hand and placed her fingertips on the ice. Her murder of monsters grouped behind her, eager to see what was next. West again. 3 ![]() This time, when Eisen opened the black door, the sound of self-satisfied laughter echoed through the cavern. The door faded; the new room glowed for a second, with blinding whiteness, and then it restored its dark and icy black. The door shut behind Eisen, and three more appeared in the circle around her. Whie the cackling laughter continued, Eisen found herself in a room with a full moon tiled on the floor. A pool of bright light fell from high above. The doors were located in the four cardinal directions, carved into the stone: North, East, South, and West. Eisen entered through the Eastern door, facing the door to the West. This was exactly the same room she'd started in. The sound of beating wings took the place of the cold laughter and the light on the floor danced with black shadows. A murder of black crows funneled down the hole in the ceiling and they cackled, and cawed, and came down for Eisen's throat while they laughed.

3 ![]() Eisen's eyes flicked up as if the laughter was coming from there, even though it echoed from all around. "Didn't think so." On her shoulder, Coyote squawked and mantled his wings, debating if he wanted to intercept or not. It wasn't like Eisen could get permanently hurt or anything, but he still felt the instinct to protect her. Apparently so did Vanguard. The fluffy zoroark had stuck to Eisen's side as they traversed rooms, and she noticed the birds almost immediately. The half-demon fox screeched and shoved Eisen with her shoulder, rearing up on her hind paws and baring her teeth. Whatever Eisen had been expecting her pokemon to do, this wasn't it. To her surprise, she slipped on the icy floor and fell, catching her bird as he tumbled from her shoulder. Vanguard had shoved Eisen aside as the birds dove, and now she was going to try and use their momentum against them, or something to that effect. She lunged, mouth gaped open with smoke streaming from her nose and ears, to chomp down hard on the main bird, and crush its fragile bird body in her jaws. To her surprise, the other pokemon to step in was Frank. He held a moon in his extended ribbons. No, not a moon, but a ball of light that resembled the moon, just as brilliant as the carved tiles on the floor. That brilliance was unleashed on one of the other crows, shot from the sylveon's flesh ribbons before he quickly tried to form another one to pick off the other bird. The rest of her pokemon looked around for anymore danger, while Eisen stayed crouched on the floor, clutching her bird to her chest as if to make sure he wasn't mistaken for one of the murkrow. 3 ~ Gonna take over for Jin for awhile, sorry for any uncreativness The trio of dark birds were mostly just a nuicense to the demon woman and her fox. Vanguard hardly even sneezed as she made roast murkrow out of the first bird that dared approach them. Even while it tumbled from the air smelling of smoke and ash it let out a final taunting cackle. Murkrow were certainly one of the creepier pokemon in the world. Frank was up next, though the sylveon didn't quite have the astonishing speed of his dark partner. This gave the remaining pair of murkrow an opening. The first of which let out a shriek and dove down smacking Frank with a nasty bit of Foul Play. The sylveon of course weathered the weak dark attack easily and blasted this bird out of the sky. Unfortunately the final murkrow was a bit smarter than his counter parts. Instead of attacking directly he stayed in the air and tormented the sylveon. Frank was now too distracted to try for the second blast of moonlight. And the bird remained cackling about his cleverness. This might stall things a bit but it was doubtful it'd be for very long. 3 I'm just happy to be getting modded at this point. Vanguard tossed her head and spit out the smoking remains of the bird she had chomped, spitting out feathers. "Vanguard, really?" The zoroark looked up at her trainer, who was looking at the tiny body of the murkrow crumpled and smoldering on the ground. She was still clutching her own honchkrow close to her chest, and looked... as horrified as Eisen was capable of looking. Which wasn't much, for normal people standards. What? Eisen stood, cradling Coyote in one arm and crossing a few steps over to the one Frank had taken care of. She gently scooped it up off the ground, "You didn't need to be so brutal." Oh please, Vanguard rolled her eyes, pouting. Did you see the way they just appeared like that? I bet they're not even real. Nearby, Frank was still dealing with the last one on his own. He couldn't blast it out of the air, but he had an idea that was just as bad. He spread his stance and waited, flesh ribbons wavering around him. When the bird came in to attack, those tentacles came up and tried to wrap all around the bird and immobilize him to draw him close. "Surprise, motherfucker," he whispered, planting his lips lovingly on the crow's beak, sucking up his life energy. That likely wouldn't be enough, so if the crow wriggled away, he would snipe it down with a flash of bright moonlight. 3 ~ Murkrow knew it couldn't win this fight from the air so figured a quick dive in with a Foul Play of his own wouldn't hurt. Unfortunately even with his speed advantage he couldn't get away in time to be out of those freaky tentacle ribbons. The kiss was entirely unexpected and made the whole tentacle ribbons thing even more disturbing. Murkrow felt the life being sucked out of him and desperately began pecking Frank in the face. This caused the fairy to release his grasp but it didn't matter as he immediately blasted the bird with more moonbeams before he could get very far. And this now left Eisen and co back where they started. The dark, four doored room with a full moon on the floor. Her previous hunch might have been right but it would take a bit more trail and error to determine where to go from there. The gleaming compass points seemed to be taunting the demon woman and her team, daring her to keep trying. 60 | 0/180 ![]() Foul Play, Peck Frank ![]() 51 | 141/204Draining Kiss, Moonblast +1.2

3 ![]() Eisen was still holding the fainted bird when she saw a flash of white light out of the corner of her eye, and turned her head to look. Frank had caught the bird out of the air, and looked like he was about to do... something to it. His trainer's sharp look got the sylveon to set it down gently, flicking his ears and looking away. The devil woman looked down at the bird she was still carrying, and sighed softly. "I feel bad leaving them here... but it's not like someone is going to come along and step on them," she looked at Mikasa and Winifred, who both shrugged. The fire fox crossed over to where the bird on the ground was, scooping it up and handing it to Eisen too. Despite everything, Eisen still had a soft weakness for the little black birds, and sighed again through her nose, looking at Coyote. Her own black bird looked back, understanding, and shrugged his feathery shoulders. They really couldn't take the fainted birds with them, and he kind of agreed with Vanguard. They likely weren't even real, instead a manifest of this place sent to torment them. They moved back towards the west door, Eisen hoping that the entire place hadn't reset upon them going through the wrong door. They'd passed this way once, so she was hoping it'd work again. Eisen pushed on the door to head into the next room. As soon as they stepped into the chamber, Eisen stopped dead, feeling her hat rattle back and fourth on her head. She whipped it off, and plunged her hand in, pulling out a purple and black egg. "Oh, right. About fucking time." West again, I guess? 3 ~ Once again Eisen found herself back in the room with the quarter moon on the floor. The eastern door slid shut behind her and all was still and silent. Nothing popped out to challenge her and the surrounding compass points twinkled calmly in the glow of the quarter moon. She'd chosen right this time and would now have to make another choice. Again her only options were North, South, East or West. No other clues seemed to stick out to aid her journey, just these four seemingly normal icy, black doors. It would all boil down to a matter of trial and error. At least she seemed to have the first step down. It was very much like picking a combination lock. But who knows how many tries it would take to figure out the second step. |

3 Gonna need some happyhearts on my three newborns, please. :3Eisen only glanced around quick enough to see that it was still the three-quarter moon room before dropping down to her knees and setting the single egg on the ground. She dove back into her hat, and two more joined it; one half gray-black, half white, and the other brown with pinkish spots. Winifred and Mikasa leaned in close, far more interested then the other pokemon. But even Frank was watching from a distance with mild interest. Their emblem questing could wait until this was taken care of. The first one to crack was the white and black one, a single little black fist punching through the shell and ripping it open. It was a pokemon that Eisen had never seen before, though it reminded her of a black and white teddiursa or cubchoo. She pawed the goop out of her eyes and shook off, straightening her fur as it dried. Winifred reached over with a gentle flame, helping to get the bear clean since Eisen hadn't thought to bring anything with her to clean them off. They looked when the purple and black one rocked back and fourth, falling over and cracking open. This time, Eisen frowned. It was another pokemon she didn't recognize. She hadn't paid enough attention at the Halloween part to remember if they'd said what was in the eggs. This one was a little bat, who rolled onto his feet and looked around, giant ears wiggling. Winifred moved to dry him off too, careful of his wings. The last one wiggled a little before a tiny hole appeared, widening enough for the unknown pokemon to squeeze through, scraping most of the goo off as she emerged. It was some kind of seahorse, like a horsea but definitely not. She hovered a few inches off the floor, already spraying herself clean with little jets of water. There's Bane and Lady Sun, the fire fox was cooing over the bat and bear, who looked over when she spoke, and chirped merrily. Eisen frowned at this; the three of them had already acted like they knew Eisen and her group when they had first met (from her perspective), and it was starting to bother her. They knew these little ones too? "More friends I won't remember?" she asked the fox, still crouched on the floor. Winifred nodded, Well, if you don't know who they are already... though I don't recognize her. Winifred indicated the seahorse, which Eisen scooped up. The three pokemon looked happy and healthy, so Eisen saw no reason not to ball them and be done with it, for now. "Alright, alright... we'll deal with this later. Into the balls, you three," she bopped the seahorse and the bear first, and they disappeared into the ether to head back to Sky Palace. The ball she used on the bat didn't disappear, and Eisen let him out again. "So, you're Bane, huh?" Bane chirped, nodding eagerly as Eisen picked him up and placed him on her other shoulder. "Alright, I think you'll be safest up here. Back to this stupid maze." It was like picking a master lock in Skyrim. You just keep throwing lockpicks at it until it works. She had an idea, and figured it was worth a shot. Calling on her HM powers, Eisen summoned a tiny flame in her hand, that burned as bright as a sun. This magic light, she shined over the room, seeing if it revealed any differentiation between the doors that would help her pick. And if it didn't, well... "Which way, Bane?" The bat tapped his chin, looking around, and then pointing south. Attempting to use Flash to see if it reveals anything about the doors. If not... eeeh... *RNG's it* South. 3 ~ 2 for all the babiesThe brilliant flash lite up the whole room providing a great view of things overall but unfortunately not revealing anything remotely different about this room than the previous room or any specific distinction between the doors. It was hard to tell one was in a different room at all, the only thing that changed was the moon on the floor that gleamed even bright now with the light from Flash. With no other recourse the party moved onward through the southern door. With any icy slam the door shut behind them, snuffing out the light from Flash, and the group found themselves back where they'd started now standing with the northern door at their backs. The full moon room seemed to be mocking them and the pile of murkrow still laid motionless where they'd been defeated. A brief hole in the ice above snapped open and dumped an unhappy group right on Eisen and company's heads. Slashing and hissing, these lads and lasses of black ice turned their anger on the demon lady and her companions. & ![]() 60 | 180 & ![]() 60 | 180

3 ![]() "Fine," Eisen hissed, waving the flame back into her palm and extinguishing it. It stung a little since she wasn't paying attention, and she grumbled as they headed through the door Bane had pointed to. And got angry cat-weasels dumped on their heads. "This feels familiar." The cold air suddenly started to heat up, and Eisen took that as her cue to get the fuck away, because the immediate area was about to get turned into a furnace. She snatched up Bane in one hand, and Coyote in the other, and scrambled away, as did Frank and Mikasa. Vanguard's mouth, nose, and ears were billowing smoke and heat; she turned towards the offending ice types, her heterochromatic eyes glowing in the dark. You remind me of someone I want to fight. But I doubt you'll be as interesting as she is... the zoroark turned to the female weavile, lazily opened her mouth, and released the fires of hell point-blank at the wild weavile, sweeping them towards the male for good measure. The dark fox's life orb had snapped off of the chain on her neck and was on the ground, where Winifred found it and picked it up. The flame on the end of her stick-wand burned suddenly brighter with a core of white. Hearing the sneasel, she turned and pointed said stick at the nearest one, a bright flame streaming form her wand. It wasn't as impressive as Vanguard's inferno, but still more powerful then usual. Instead of watching the ice types get melted down, Eisen frowned at the ceiling now. Both times, they'd had dark types dumped on their heads. Did it only dump dark types on them? Potentially a useful thing to know, she mused, tilting her head and trying to pick out where the door was. It seemed to be too dark up there to find it, and she looked back at the battle. It would likely be over quick, if she knew Vanguard well enough, so they could head back into the next room again. 3 ![]() Four little weasels jumped around the moonlit room with their claws extended. They were wild and mischievous creatures, and they cackled and howled and laughed and danced. They were probably all going to die, soon, and they didn't care and they were unafraid. First the female weavile flashed her eyes at Vanguard. She saw the smoke billowing from the Zoroark's nose and mouth and she knew what it meant. Vanguard taunted her, which the Weavile returned with a wide smile. Before the Zoroark could say the word "flamethrower," the Weavile shot icicles from her claws, to distract her, to annoy her, before suddenly being devoured by an ocean of flame. The Weavile literally melted a little, but she didn't stop smiling. Her husband turned on his spritely black heel and lunged at Winifred just as the fox pocketed a Life Orb from the ground. The male Weavile dove forward, separate from the steaming remains of his mate, his whole body a black spear aimed at the fox. He was dark and fast; he knew how to exploit her psychic thoughts. He kicked forward, Knocking Off the Life Orb once again, sweeping his leg around to throw Winifred to the floor. He grinned. Then Vanguard's flames caught up with him, and he, too, burned on the floor with a triumphant screech. The two younger ones were left. They looked at each other, then danced in opposite directions around the Zoroark. They pranced and they waved their claws and then they lunged towards Vanguard, one on other side, with their legs like little bullets extended. One came in higher, while the other came in lower. Smoke billowed all over, and the Sneasels both shot at Vanguard to avenge their now-charbroiled parents.

3 ![]() Vanguard got unceremoniously kicked to the floor, near her fallen teammate. Eisen sighed. It was a resigned, hollow sort of sigh reserved for people who are getting tired. "Well, fine, if I'm not allowed to train my pokemon, so be it. Light 'em up, Vanguard." The fainted delphox disappeared, after Eisen recovered Vanguard's life orb. No point in trying to revive the fire fox, since apparently every enemy they would encounter would be too powerful against half of her team, and too weak against the other half. Eisen felt like it would save time to just let Vanguard soak up all the experience, as if she needed to be any stronger. It already felt like she'd been in this hole for weeks. She was starting to wonder if she should just withdraw all of her pokemon, as much as she didn't want to, and simply become a ghost so she couldn't be hurt by any potential attackers. Then she could ignore the pokemon getting dropped on them, and get through this stupid puzzle. Vanguard filled the empty air with smoke as she pushed back to her feet, jaws parted and thick blackness billowed from them, smelling strongly of hellfire and brimstone. Again, she simply crouched down, foreclaws digging into the stone, and fire streamed hot and red from her throat, swept from one weasel to the other without pause. She wasn't even mad about landing on her face, or her fallen teammate. Vanguard had enjoyed seeing the other pokemon melt. Team: Honchkrow, Zoroark, Delphox, Sylveon, Greninja, Noibat APL: 71.6

3 ![]() The terrible part was that, even with her speed hampered a full stage, Vanguard was still faster than the pair of black weasels surrounding her. What this meant, for them, was a rush of fire to face until their icy white claws melted, and then the snow-tipped feathers behind their heads, and then the rest of their furry bodies like so much black wax. The female melted first, with a roaring screech that echoed the tongues of the flame. Her brother leaped backwards as it happened, then forward again in a jagged pattern, until his foot collided again with Vanguard's back. It was super effective, but Vanguard grew stronger and more fearsome with every subsequent hit. When she turned her neck to meet the last remaining sneasel, he stared at her with glowing eyes, claws extended, smile wide and bright. When it was over, the full moon only flickered with the shadows of fire and smoke. This left Eisen and her company to return to the Western door, as intended, so that the walls flashed and the floor was decorated by a glowing three-quarter moon. Doors appeared in every direction - North, South, East, and West - and somewhere overhead a dark laughter filled the air. The spirit of Darkrai was enjoying the show.

3 lol you actually put your post into my post, at the time of writing this anyway. I'm amused, no harm done.Eisen sniffed and waved the smoke away from her face, dimly aware how the smell reminded her of their father instead of a normal fire smell. She also detected that faint hint of burning flesh and hair, and decided that no matter how immortal and evil she was, that still grossed her out a little. "Better?" I guess, Vanguard kicked up her hind legs as she walked back over to Eisen, as though kicking something over the puddles that had formerly been pokemon. There wasn't anything on the floor to kick up, but she felt better when she heard the scrape of her claws on the stone floor. Will Winnie be alright? she stuck her head in Eisen's hand, where she was still holding the other fox's ball. Eisen frowned at the dark fox, not sure where this sudden spike of giving a shit had come from. "I'm sure she will be, I've never seen anything a pokemon center can't fix. Come on." Eisen flipped Vanguard her Life Orb back, which the dark fox gleefully grabbed and squirreled away in her mane. So the troupe, minus the fire fox, headed back through the door, leaving them in the 3/4 moon room. Here, Eisen paused, sighing and leaning back against the door with her shoulders, palms flat against the ice-like black rock. She cast an annoyed glance at the ceiling, as if it was the source of the sourceless noise. "Eh, fuck you too," she looked back down, at her pokemon scurrying around the room again. "Jackass." Eisen was having a hard time with this for one reason. She believed, perhaps wrongly, that there had to be some kind of trick here, to figure out the doors. Simply trying each one until you got lucky seemed strange, to the creature who ran off of sheer luck half of the time. It bothered her that she felt like there was something obvious she was missing. "It can't be back this way, can it?" she whispered, thinking aloud as she twisted her head around to look at the door behind her, hearing her neck pop spontaneously from the motion. It didn't hurt, but she rubbed the back of her neck anyway, pushing off from the door to head to the northern door, even though she got the weird feeling she was wrong. (I really don't like the way this place is fucking with me. You had better be having fun up there, you piece of shit.) North. 3 ![]() As if in response, the laughter picked up again. It was closer now than before, and it followed Eisen as she put her hand to the Northern door. It howled in her ears, like the black devil at her shoulder, and as she pushed, the laughter reached a crescendo as if trying to dissuade her. She'd note that the door was exactly like the other two she'd gone through in this same room, and like all four from the room before. When she pushed through the Northern door, the hideous laughter stopped. In fact there was silence again, and a glowing half moon over the floor. The room was cold and barren, like the others, but the silence was welcome and there were no carcasses of broken pokémon littering the space. It had the same high-vaulted ceiling with a great gape for the starlight to come through, and of course, it had the same four doors set perfect distances apart. Half the moon was in shadow, now, and so the room, too, was darker than the last. North - South - East - West {{ i am so tired good night }} |

3 night dude, thanksEisen could easily shake off any thought of a devil on her shoulder; after all, Bane was on one shoulder and Coyote on the other. While she didn't know the bat, he didn't yet strike her as the devilish type. As it ended up, the north door was the correct one, and it was very quiet once again. Eisen gave a triumphant middle finger at the ceiling. Two middle fingers, actually. "And now we're back to playing Opaddekan Roulette. Fantastic," Eisen dropped her arms back at her sides, looking at the room nearly indistinguishable from the last, aside from the floor. It being the only item of interest in the room, she looked at it for at least a few seconds. "And I know nothing of any help about the moon, so. If the answer's there, I'm not going to get it," she looked to Frank and Mikasa, who shrugged at her. Vanguard was eagerly sniffing the floor, hungry for any scent of anything interesting. Eisen looked over the doors again, while the two pokemon on her shoulders quietly sat and listened to anything she might feel like saying. "Well... we came in from the south door originally, right? We went west... which turned into the east door. Then we went north... which turned into the south door. A repeat pattern, maybe?" "Maybe," Coyote shrugged; he was as much in the dark as his human was. Bane only chirped, looking at the ceiling. "I feel like there's something I'm missing with the moon here, and the directions..." she thoughtfully put her hand to her face, tapping her nose while hoping something would come to her. (Or I'm just thinking about this too hard, and there's nothing to it aside from luck,) she rolled her eyes quietly, and decided to try her hunch by heading for the west door again. If nothing else, they'd just have garbage dropped on their heads again, and Vanguard would go up another level or two. Though, thinking about the fox, before they headed through the door she pulled a potion from her pack and sprayed the zoroark in the face with it. She got a good amount on the spots the zoroark had been hit, but Vanguard still sputtered and glowered at Eisen, slightly wet. "Don't look at me like that, you'll thank me later." West. 3 ![]() This time, the room with the weavile carcasses and the dead murkrows and the full moon - - - wasn't there at all. The deep and grumbling laughter gave way to a disappointed sort of groan, because the room Eisen discovered was entirely new. A thin sliver of a moon, only one fourth illuminated, lay somewhat coyly over the dark stone floor. The silver-white of the moon's face was as brilliant and pearly as in the other rooms, but now so much of the space was covered in shadow that black, rather than white, was the dominant color. The one circular wall surrounding the room was harder still to make out. Even the hole at the ceiling, some several stories up, peered starless and without help. Eisen wouldn't need light to know what was carved into the rounded stone wall. At each cardinal direction, one of four doors stood like a great black mouth. Tiny golden letters - N, E, S, W - were carved above the doors, glinting faintly in cursive script. The doors, like the wall and the floor, were cold to the touch. 3 ![]() "Ha!" the devil woman laughed triumphantly, pointing at the blank ceiling. On her shoulder, her black bird snorted and rolled his eyes. The only reason she was being so animated was because nobody was around to see her be a dork. Eisen felt like she grasped at least part of the puzzle, which she mused over as she took a deep breath of the dark room, more comfortable in the growing darkness then the bright moonlight. The rooms they didn't get attacked in, the 'correct' rooms, were counting down the phases of the moon. Darkrai had a legendary counterpart, some stupid-weird thing that Eisen couldn't care less about. One represented the full moon, the other a new moon. Darkrai, being a dark type... well, duh. Still didn't help her figure out which door she needed to go through. "May as well see if my hunch is right," she murmured to the two pokemon on her shoulders, heading towards the northern door. At least they were on an assumed final piece. Even if they got things dumped on their heads three or four more times, it was better then eight. Not that Vanguard would have a problem being the garbage disposal, but Eisen was starting to get hesitant about letting the fox get any stronger. North. 3 ![]() ...And the Northern door closed behind Eisen with a heavy lock, and it led her into a room with a full moon covering the floor. The full moon was littered with the bodies of broken pokémon: here were the feathers of a couple dead murkrows, and there were dark pools of blood, fur, and bone. The wind was howling through this room with supernatural vengeance, and it circled the stone wall with a sharp chill. Eisen and her pokémon were alone only for an instant; in the next, they felt, and then heard, three dark spirits come to join them. Fire, water, and grass all appeared in unison at the center of the full moon. A flaming hellhound, with dripping white ribs, a malicious and long-finned shark, and a walking tree with huge fans for arms all growled and glared at Eisen. They snarled both at each other and at the intruders in the Full Moon Room, and they moved forward with violence in their eyes. The room was surrounded by four tall doors, behind Eisen, ahead of her, and to her left and right. She came through the Southern door, with the Western door at her left.

3 ![]() Eisen opened her mouth to make some snarky comment, but the cutting wind howling made her pause, her short ponytail getting tugged loose slightly. The goosebumps suddenly on her arms faded when the three pokemon presented themselves opposite of them. "Yes, right, more fodder for the demon zoroark. Go on," the words had barely left her mouth before Vanguard gleefully sprung, racing full tilt down the center towards the shark. Eisen glanced to her bird, "Would you mind, handsome?" " 'course not!" Coyote cawed, eager to bet let loose for a change. Coyote sort of understood why Eisen tried to keep him out of battle, but she couldn't be a mother hen all the time. Coyote liked to fight as much as Vanguard did. Well... not as much. The shadow fox cackled, throwing her forepaws out in front of her to skid to a stop on the pristine moon. Now, instead of fire, pure energy dripped from her teeth as she smiled with every single one of them. The arcs of light stretched like saliva as she opened her mouth, coalescing the energy into an erratic ball of pure power that the spit at the shark, half blinded from the intensity of the attack. She was ready to follow it up with another just like it, ears sticking up and trying to see if the shark had been reduced to hide and teeth. Coyote had thrown on his scope lens before taking off, and zeroed in on the dog. Eisen owned specimens of all three their opponents, though The Grim was an glittering dark blue that looked shiny in some lights and black as the night in others. The blackbird focused on the dog, flexing his muscles mid-flight. He hadn't done this particular maneuver in quite some time. That left the shiftry, which Eisen was debating with Frank and Mikasa flanking her. She dug at the inside of her vest, frowning until she heard the crinkle of a candy wrapper, and pulled out three candies wrapped in sparkling blue plastic. On her shoulder, Bane perked up, inching forward and stretching his neck out. Eisen didn't notice, instead debating if the three level boost would help Frank or not. The little gray bat jumped forward with a squeak, snatching one of the rare candies in his talons and unwrapping it with a quick tug. "Bane!" Eisen had closed her hand immediately, but still too slow. She watched Bane toss the entire sweet in his mouth and lick his lips even while he started to glow. The small bat started to grow, wings lengthening and body rushing to fill out the smaller bat's gigantic head. Eisen could see a lanky form with huge wings as he flapped as hard as he could towards the dark ceiling, before just as suddenly as the evolution started, the light suddenly stopped. "...Bane?" An amplified screech ripped through the room, resonating off the walls. Even Eisen covered her ears while she was looking for the source. A piece of the dark ripped away, streaking towards the ground where Eisen could see a bit of twilight purple and green. There's out boy, Bane! the frog cheered, pumping her fist in the air. Eisen watched the bat bring his wings up, and then swiftly down, making a sharp column of air out of nothing, followed by another one. Bane the noibat eats one of Eisen's rare candies from Halloween; levels to 51, evolves to Noivern. Two rare candies left. Team: Honchkrow, Zoroark, Delphox, Sylveon, Greninja, Noivern APL: 71.6~
So since I went 'ugh that's right, fake out' halfway through finishing this, let's put it like this: Coyote's priority target is houndoom. Vanguard's primary target is sharpedo. Bane's target is shiftry. If either Coyote/Vanguard take out their targets on the first shot, they'll try to help out a teammate if they flinch/miss. If I even can, I guess. 3 ![]() Darkrai's three minions exchanged a wild glance. They stopped their growling and bickering amongst themselves, stopped snarling as though ready to cut each other's throats, and turned their red eyes instead to the trespassers standing over the face of the full moon. The houndoom flicked its neck towards the sharpedo, and the shiftry stepped forward first. They didn't have a foreseeable way to win this battle. They didn't care; they were going to annoy. The shiftry lurched with its huge fans and its huge wooden nose in the direction of the noivern, darted suddenly and instantly to his left instead. He slapped Coyote with a thick palm. It was like a flick between the eyes. It didn't hurt, exactly, but it was a little rude and very distracting. Feathers rustled, Coyote flinched, while the shiftry danced backwards around the moon. The houndoom was out in a blur, too. As Bane the newly evolved noivern readied its air slash, so the hellhound predicted the attack and, like one long black shadow, caught the noivern under his jaw. In another second the sharpedo lunged forward with its own priority and its target was Vanguard. A small waterfall appeared from the air and collided with the zoroark - she seemed hardly to notice. Then Eisen's party had its turn. They were disoriented, at a slight disadvantage. Coyote hesitated. Vanguard powered her dark red energy into a fist, but the sharpedo dodged the blow. Only Bane, with his new-found resolve, came down in a perfect arc and managed to slice the shiftry across its neck. The mischief pokémon let out a ferocious roar, with his hands in the air, giving Bane time to swoop back into the air and prepare his second blow. This sparked more black madness. The hellhound leapt forward with another Sucker Punch, this time at Coyote. The Sharpedo followed it with an Aqua Jet aimed at the same honchkrow. The shiftry, for its personal vendetta, threw its own Sucker Punch at Bane, catching the flying dragon out of the air and throwing it to the ground. Bane couldn't take the second blow; Coyote seemed impervious to the damage. Finally Coyote and Vanguard had their revenge. Each blow sent their targets exploding on the spot. The Full Moon room was a mess of dark confetti as houndoom and sharpedo popped, simultaneously, to their opponents' triumphant red fists.

3 ![]() Bane disappeared after a flash of red, and Eisen tried not to look at Mikasa's disappointed face. Eisen knew that it was because of Vanguard and Coyote that the opponents in here were so strong, but Eisen still thought Bane had been silly to leap in like he had. At least he tried, she supposed. She didn't even have to issue anymore commands. Coyote looked like he debated going after the shiftry, but instead peeled off and headed back to Eisen, to land on her shoulder. "Not feeling it?" Eisen tilted her head towards him, as he set to straightening up his ruffled feathers. "Nah. Why bother?" Eisen privately agreed, but Vanguard was never ever ever going to give up the chance to set something on fire or rip it to pieces. She seemed to have defaulted back to the fire, grinning that gigantic toothy grin that let smoke leak out from between her teeth. Let the shiftry punch her in the face; she'd make his last moments that much more painful. Team: Honchkrow, Zoroark, Delphox, Sylveon, Greninja, Noivern APL: 71.6~

3 ~ Sorry for shit mod :s Things went as expected and a burnt tree joined the pile of defeated pokemon. And Eisen and her group were again free to continue on back through the route they'd figured out thus far and found themselves back in the darkest room with only the tiniest sliver of moon showing. There was now just one door left in their way. But they still had to pick the right one. Well back to trial and error, at least there were only three choices left now. So which way? South, West or East? Vanguard gains 0.6

3 better then no mod at allVanguard sniffed and trotted back over to Eisen, kicking her hindpaws again. The trainer woman rolled her eyes. "Right, moving on." They did move on, retracing their steps back to the room with a sliver of white on the floor. Vanguard and Coyote looked to Eisen for where to go next. There wasn't any indication of where to go, so she looked between the remaining doors, shrugged, and headed towards the westward door. West. Team: Honchkrow, Zoroark, APL: 71.6~ |

2 ![]() [Eisen's last route: West - > North - > West - > West] And as Eisen pushed against the heavy stone doorway that should have taken her West, and should have taken her somewhere new, it creaked and it opened and it melted away to the exact same room she'd been in just moments earlier. There was a full moon painted on the floor, or at least filled with so many small white stones so as to resemble a painting. The moon was craggy in places, and in other places flawlessly white, but all together it appeared to be smiling and it gave the whole dark room a very sinister appearance. It was only a few minutes before the expected baddies fell from the open ceiling. For an instant they blocked out the whole navy-blue patch that peered upwards to the starry sky and instead made the whole room flash a heavy black. Then the sound of their snarls echoed over the circular walls, and then the soft leathery sound of their wings followed. A pair of large black dragons descended towards Eisen with exactly six heads and they did not appear friendly. ![]() 60 x2{back in the full moon room, bud !} Edited by Jin White, Apr 20 2014, 11:38 PM.

3 ![]() "Nah." Ironically, Nah is the name of a dragon-thing from a game I enjoy. But that's neither here nor there. Eisen leaned back against the door when she realized where they were, pulling out her pokemon's pokeballs and withdrawing them. Even Coyote disappeared, his wings half mantled before he dissolved into red light that was sucked into his seldom-used ball. Eisen was two steps beyond done with this place. If she couldn't train the pokemon she wanted to train, then there was no point in fighting anymore. "Hope you guys like sleeping!" she pulled out a little greenish-black sphere and a small gas mask. The mask was pressed to her face and she threw the sphere to the ground, where it exploded in a small cloud of the same greenish-black colored gas, quickly expanding from the force of the small explosion. Eisen's eyes watered, though the scent of the sleeping gas didn't reach her nostrils or mouth. Unless the pair were jackassed with magic, which wouldn't surprise her at this point, they should be on the ground within a few seconds, leaving her free passage to head back to the 3/4 room. If not, well, she was immortal and gave less then zero fucks. She had Rayquaza and quite a few other nasty creatures stored in her shapeshifting-memory and she wasn't afraid to use them. But if she could squirm her way out of fighting at all, then of course she was going to do it. Knock-Out Gas: A small, spherical device that releases a cloud of gas that quickly puts anything to sleep that breathes it in. Sleeping targets stay out for 2-5 turns. Comes with a single-use mask so it doesn't affect the user. Decreases steal time by 20%. One use per charge. So Eisen withdrew her own pokemon and is using that, trying to get back to the 3/4 room. 3 ![]() Both black dragons chose Eisen's pokémon as their targets, but as she withdrew them, they shifted their attention to her. Six snarling, drooling black heads hovered in the air and came flapping downwards, in opposite spirals, casting moonlit shadows over the white floor and creating dark silhouettes against the sky. Eisen, apparently unfazed, withdrew all of her pokémon, strapped on a face mask, and then tossed out a green-black ball to explode over the floor. By this time, one of the two dragons was already blocking her path. The hydreigon made for the westernmost doorway, its two smaller heads biting indiscriminately at the air. It yipped and snarled at Eisen in three ways at once, and though one of the lesser heads tried to give her a mean bite, the whole of the dragon was surrounded in a cloud of green-black smoke and its three open mouths drew in one great lungful of smoke. Within seconds the barking snarls turned to indignant, quiet yelps, which all became one enormous yawn. The dragon tumbled heavily to the ground, one giant black lump in front of the western doorway, all three heads sleeping in one tangled mess. The other dragon was behind Eisen. It flew high over the eastern doorway, its own three heads dangling heavily downwards towards the floor. It beat its wings and it gave an enormous yell, three sets of fangs bared. It saw the heavy lump of its kin sleeping on the stones; it saw what was left of the green-black smoke the other dragon had consumed; it saw Eisen alone - without her pokémon - trespassing the chambers. It dove down in a heavy lunge from the sky.

3 ![]() Eisen wasn't phased by the dragons. She was quiet and calculating, eyes darting between the two at all times. It was one of those times she appreciated being a small target. Still watching as the smoke expanded, she grabbed the loose strap and pulled it back over her head. The mask was a little flimsy and wouldn't be of any use after it had absorbed too much smoke, but for now it was keeping her wide awake. The first dragon started showing signs of fatigue and sleep, which made Eisen start sliding sideways towards that door, the gateway back to where she needed to go. She showed no nerves, and as soon as it fell to the ground she turned and broke into a run. For a moment, the thought of shapeshifting crossed her mind, but then the mask wouldn't fit and she might inhale some of her own gas. She was guessing that the underground rooms didn't get too much circulation, so she didn't want to risk the lingering gas. Hopefully ahead of the male hydreigon, Eisen leapt at the westward door, throwing her weight against it to squeeze through and slam it shut behind her. Hopefully. She scrambled a few paces away from the door, pulling the mask down to hang around her neck and taking a deep breath of the stale cave air. "Yeah, sorry buddy, you're not that important," she breathed, heading towards the next door while watching where she had come from. If she could get back to the 3/4 room without incident, she'd try the only door left that wasn't back the way she came; the south door. Ducking back through the West door to try and get back to the 3/4 room again. And going South in 3/4 room if possible. Team: Honchkrow, Zoroark, APL: 71.6~ |

3 ![]() [Eisen's previous path: West - North - West - South] The westward door gave a quick shudder and groan, but it didn't offer Eisen any resistance; the shapeshifting fox passed through the door as though it were a portal, finding herself at once in the stale darkness of the second room. There was a vast moon over the floor with one quarter sliver veiled in black. The circular room, the four doors around its perimeter, the inky blue-black sky above were all familiar, and quiet. Eisen passed through this room to a third: the half-moon waited for her over its wide stone floor. She passed yet again to a fourth: the moon was three-fourths veiled in darkness, this time, and shadows dominated the otherwise unremarkable space. As in every room before it, it was marked with four identical doors, every door in a cardinal direction. Eisen tried the southern door. She passed this portal and met, at her right, a giant sleeping dragon with three black heads. There was a faint, now innocuous odor of gas in the air. Another, similar dragon was flying in loud, angry circles around the small space, like a restless hornet. A full moon covered the floor underfoot. Laughter filled the air: dark, ruthless laughter which echoed against the circular stone wall and lifted upwards towards the hole in the ceiling. Simultaneously, something new fell down from the sky, like great black bricks tumbling towards that vast and glowing full moon. Three more creatures of darkness spawned from overhead... they looked around, collided with the angry black dragon, made a terrible cacophony which only fueled the roaring laughter.

3 Something about the situation made Eisen start laughing. Maybe it was the laughter she was hearing, maybe it was the situation, maybe it was something else entirely. But the demon woman suddenly started laughing as if she had just been dosed with comical laughing gas. She was thankful that the room was mostly aired out, even though it meant the new pokemon wouldn't be affected. The three newest dark types tumbled down onto the original black dragon, still awake and angry. Eisen stared at them longer then she wanted to, laughing until she just suddenly stopped. Without looking or hesitating any more then she already had, Eisen turned to the west door and suddenly she was inches from the ground. Suddenly four-legged and furry red-black, the small demon fox scrabbled for the door, claws scraping on the stone floor, her eyes wide and ears pinned back. She was glad nobody was here to see her; her tail was practically between her legs. Not that she was afraid, exactly, but magic immortal nonsense or not, she got the feeling that if one of those dark types caught her, it would still hurt. The thought crossed her mind, upon seeing the vulture, that she needed one of those for her collection, but was promptly replaced by (NOPE.) She hoped the door was like a portal again, because she was running all out for it, and it would be extremely inconveinent if she were to just... crash into it. GETTING OUT OF DODGE YES. 3 ![]() The room with the full moon over its floor was in absolute mayhem. Two giant black dragons - one sleeping, one very much awake and enraged - filled the majority of the space. A giant vulture cawed and shed dirty, dark feathers over the ground. A scrafty - the hoodlum pokémon - held up its overlarge pants and made a strange growling, wheezing sort of noise, like an asphyxiating elder. This was mostly drowned out by the sound of cackling, rolling black laughter from somewhere indiscriminate overhead. There was another pokémon in the room, the most devilish of all, which didn't sleep or caw or wheeze but followed Eisen as she scampered across the face of the moon and darted towards that Western portal. This pokémon was a liepard, the cruel pokémon, the sly devil incarnate. It alone kept its faculties and, when the shapeshifting fox tried to go unnoticed from one door to the other, slid right alongside the small canine like a dark purple reflection. When Eisen tumbled through the westward door and into the second round room, so did the liepard pursuing her. The second room was like a veil of silence, with the whole of the chaos vanished behind a thick stone portal. Rather than a full moon, there was a waning, three-quarter moon splayed over the floor, and forgetting the splotches of blood and bone and the mad dark pokémon filling the room prior, the two were nearly identical. Four doors were carved into the rounded stone wall, each one marked with N, S, E, or W. The liepard continued to stalk Eisen. It growled at her, taunting, and then it asked in a dark and silky voice: "Where are you going, Little Magic Fox?" ![]() 60 ![]() Prankster {{used Pursuit to follow Eisen into the 3/4th moon room}} {{Growl and Taunt into the general darkness}} Edited by Jin White, Apr 26 2014, 12:46 PM.

3 ![]() Eisen felt the liepard more then saw him, and threw on the breaks when they ghosted into the next room. She scrabbled backwards to the wall next to the door, rearing up onto her hind legs so her furry spine was pressed up against the cold stone. Her eyes darted around, watching the cat stalk around. Her black socks, ears, and tailtip bled off into the shadows, becoming one with them as she wavered between physical and ethereal. The black mark around her red eye seemed particularly prone to this, like that piece of her face wasn't exactly completely part of her. The fox's ears tracked the larger predator with her eyes, and she took soft breaths through her nose as she considered her options. She could try to dart through the next door, but got the feeling it would follow her the same way again. Instead, she reached into her neck fur and materialized one of her pokeballs. "Hell. Care to join me?" The ball was opened, and materialized into another quadrupedal pokemon. He stepped forward, one paw on the moon tiles, and smiled as his pink flesh ribbons wavered around him. 3 // oho, look at that - eisen's lower-leveled pokes getting something useful out of this afterall-x- SPLAT. It was hard to say what exactly of the pearly, pink light glowing off Frank made the liepard explode like a watermelon tumbling off a high-rise, but one instant there was a liepard, and the next instant the whole room was a Pollock painting made mostly of red, purple, and black. The fox and the sylveon both got splashed in the liepard's remains. After that, the room was silent again. There were four doors - now uniquely splattered, but consistent - all in one of the four Cardinal directions. The moon on the floor showed three-fourths glowing white, one-fourth covered in a dark and ominous shadow. The sky above, visible through a vaulted gap in the ceiling, was a heavy black, studded with tired yellow stars. The four doors marked Eisen's path forward, or back. 3 Was kinda hoping to get levels for someone besides Frank, but I guess I can't be picky at this point. Eisen squeezed her eyes shut and ducked her head, getting splattered by blood and tissue and skin. The blood and guts themselves didn't bother her, it was the sticky way it seeped into her fur, still hot with life, that she didn't like. She stood and violently shook off, like any self respecting canine would. It got the bits of flesh off, but the blood made patches of her fur spiky and stick out at odd angles. "Of course, all the water in this place is frozen," she grumbled, giving a good shake of her head to make sure it got out of her ears. She looked up at Frank, who was frolicking through the remains gleefully. He stepped on some remaining organ chunk, the unknown fluids splattering everywhere from the impact. He didn't seem bothered by being covered in blood and guts. Eisen glanced around, made sure they were alone, and scampered over to the north door. "Oi, Frank, let's go," she yipped over at him, sitting back on her haunches, one paw reaching towards the door. The sylveon suddenly stopped and leaned down, grabbing something and then heading over. Eisen tilted her head at the liepard's heart in the eevee-evolutions mouth, and Frank grinned around it. "Temple of Doom?" "Mmph?" "Nevermind," she rolled her eyes, and pressed her paw on the door so they could get back into the half moon room. "You're too young to know that movie anyway." I was calling the room with only a sliver of the moon left the 3/4 room, so I think I'm a little confused now. I was thinking 3/4 dark and not 3/4 light, I guess? Anyway, you described the 3/4 light room, which means Eisen needs to go North in this room (to get to the 1/2 room, and then West, and then she'll be in what I was calling the 3/4 room, which is actually 3/4 dark I guess). If able to get to the 1/4 light(3/4 dark) room, she'll go east. Team: Honchkrow, Zoroark, APL: 71.6~ |

3 & Frank definitely gets 1x for frolicking in a field of his own gory destruction-x- After an intense bout of winding, and turning, and opening doors, Eisen crossed from room to room and watched the moon turn phases. Here, in the room now splattered with a liepard's blood, the moon was still fat and grinning with a sliver shaded in darkness, like a wink. In the next room, half the moon was covered, so that the whole room was a stark divide of light and dark, black and white. The shadows didn't reach the pearly surface of the remaining moon, but neither did the light penetrate the murky depth at the room's other half. The next room was darker, yet, with only a thin sliver of the moon left draped over the floor, like a remnant, like a silver fish out of its element. The darkness was enticing, all-encompassing, and even the stars in the sky above were blotted out. Eisen turned, in this room, to open the eastern door. It was the same door she'd come from, and yet, when she pushed through it, the room she reached was a new one altogether. It was completely black. There was no trace of the moon here, now. There was no sound, no stirring of dark and violent monsters falling from the ceiling, not even the hideous black laughter echoing madly about the stone walls. Rather, there was a robust pedestal rising from the center of the new moon. The pedestal held a delicate black dream catcher, studded with shards of jagged glass. It flashed with its own light when Eisen approached, beckoning her. There were two doors in this room. Behind Eisen was the door that led from the quarter-moon room. Ahead of her, opposite the stone pedestal, stood the door leading through a dark tunnel to the surface of Murmur Valley. {{ Darkrai Emblem Get !! +20 }}

5 Thanks for actually caring/modding my quest dude, I do appreciate it.The little fox pulled her paw back as the final door opened, peeking through the crack into the darkness. Eisen crept in, followed by Frank. The sylveon didn't have the heart anymore, but seemed to be chewing on a giant mouthfull of something, his childishly pink face covered in blood. Eisen's ears searched where her eyes didn't as she slunk further into the room. The ceiling was dark and dead, and she looked from that down to the stone pedestal, also dark and dead. Mostly. Her little claws clicked on the floor as she trotted over, and took a great leap onto the pedestal to perch on the edge. The shards of glass reflected in her eyes as she studied the thing, head tilted. The fox raised a paw and licked the stray blood off of her claws, wrinkling her nose at the metallic taste. Finally, with a clean paw, she carefully took the fragile looking dreamcatcher into her furry not-hand. "That's all?" Frank had swallowed his mouthfull and was now standing at the base of the pedestal, head tilted. Eisen looked down at him, tail swishing down over the edge. "Looks like it," she brought it to her snout to study it, turning it slightly so it glittered again, despite the lack of light. "Well, that's it. Let's get the fuck out of dodge." She hopped down to the ground, and then turned, disappearing into the room itself, covered in shadows as it was. Frank yelped at the sight, having never seen her do that, and tentatively followed after, dissolving as well. Teleporting out to end the thread. Stuff.
