It was night by the time Fang left Brightopolis. That suited the former Operative just fine. After all, it was cool under the cover of nightfall. Oracle rode on his shoulder, yet Fang suspected that the psychic-type had nodded off. The only Pokemon that was awake was Okibi. Fang rode on the powerful dog of fire, enjoying the swift speeds that the Arcanine could muster. He was headed to Malral. Afterwards, Fang planned on traveling back to Rose Town. Jade would be worried sick about him, the teen was sure of that. "Let's try to make this as quick as possible," Fang told Okibi. The Arcanine didn't answer, but Fang felt the dog pick up some speed. He had allowed the Arcanine to sleep an entire day before they had departed. Okibi was at his peak strength for this journey. "Right," Fang muttered, narrowing his eyes against the wind. "Let's roll." Travel Plan: Soggy Dirt, Sinklands, Frozen Valley, Malral Edited by Fang, Feb 26 2013, 09:41 PM.

3 ![]() And roll the two did. Traversing the Soggy Dirt is never a fun journey, while not posing as great a challenge as the Sinklands it is still a place where Pokemon and People can get stuck. As you push your way through you can find 2 such unfortunates in quite a predicament. The first is a 25 yr old female, she has a Lopunny with her and both appear to be suck in a truely boggy area. Just across from her is the second Trainer. This one is a 28 yr old Male, he has a Swanna with him and both are bogged in the same way. It seems the two had been fighting and the Male (in all his brilliance) had ordered a rain dance. The resulting rain had worsened the ground conditions and bogged the two. But what were they fighting over? Between them lies a Greatball with a recently captured Pokemon inside. It seems they were fighting to see who gets the capture. The Female offers you a and a to free her and let her have the Greatball. The Male offers you a and a to free him and let him have the Greatball... Of course you could just take the Greatball (and the mystery Pokemon there in) for yourself.. But the choice is yours. |

4 ![]() Things were going smoothly. That was until Okibi let out a frustrated growl. Fang narrowed his eyes as he looked up at the heavens above. It was raining. And that was not good for the fire-type he was riding. The rain wouldn't hurt the Arcanine, of course. But Fang knew that Okibi's abilities would be severely crippled. "Bad luck, huh?" Fang asked, patting Okibi's shoulder. What's going on? Fang glanced at his shoulder as the rain woke Oracle up. The Ralts blinked several times, then yawned. "Rain," Fang told the psychic-type. "Though I'm not sure why it'd be raining. There was nothing in the forecast hinting at rain." Fang lurched as Okibi suddenly skidded to a halt. Fang almost fell off the Arcanine, but managed to hang on nonetheless. "Sheesh, Okibi. What's up?" Okibi only let out a growl and pointed ahead of him with his nose. Fang narrowed his eyes as he struggled to see through the heavy rain. "I caught it! It's mine!" Fang heard the voice of a man. "Your Great Ball missed by a mile! I was the one who caught it, you pig!" That was the voice of a female. What the heck? Oracle looked a bit confused. Fang tilted his head to the side and nudged Okibi. The Arcanine padded forward slowly. As they drew nearer, Fang could see what was going on. Two trainers were stuck in the thick mud! Okibi came to a halt once more; the fire-type didn't want anything to do with the mud before him. Fang didn't blame the creature. "Yo!" Fang called out to the two, eying the Swanna and Lopunny that were also stuck in the mud. "What are you two doing?" "This asshole tried to steal my Pokemon!" The woman cried out, struggling to keep her head above the makeshift quick sand. "It was mine to begin with!" the man retorted, splashing as he struggled to stay afloat. "Get me out of here!" Fang sighed. He glanced at the Great Ball int he center of the mud. It floated there haphazerdly. Judging by the scene, Fang figured that it contained the Pokemon that these two trainers were fighting over. "Oracle, go over there and grab that Great Ball. When I free these two, I don't want them to start fighting again until I can get the details ironed out," the teen instructed the psychic-type. Right. The Ralts screwed her face up, but lifted from his shoulder and levitated to the center of the mud hole. Using her powers, she lifted the Great Ball and floated back to Fang, depositing it in his hand. Fang glanced at it, wondering briefly what it contained. "Help me!" The female's voice was shrill. It snapped the former Operative's thoughts back to reality. Unhinging a Pokeball from his belt, the teen tossed the capsule down onto the ground. With an explosion of crimson light, a Ninetales appeared. Thanks to Purity's ability, the rain was dispelled instantly. Despite it being night, an artificial sun hovered over Fang, swiftly drying the muddy ground in its heat. He waited until the two trainers were able to worm themselves out, then recalled the Ninetales. "Alright, whose Pokemon is this?" "It's mine!" came the unified response of both trainers. They glared at each other. Feeling a headache coming on, Fang rubbed his temple. This wasn't working. Want me to find out, for ya? Orchid offered, landing on Fang's shoulder. The teen's eyes snapped open. Of course! The Ralts would be able to tell! He nodded, and the tiny creature went to work. For a few tentative moments, there was an eerie silence as the psychic-type read the trainer's minds. Then, the Ralts returned. It's the man's catch, Oracle reported aloud. It was his Great Ball that made the catch. The woman missed her shot. Fang nodded. "Thanks, Oracle." "That's not true!" the female blurted out. "I caught it!" Hey! Who's the psychic one here? Oracle protested hotly. "Sorry, but I trust Oracle," Fang said, handing the Great Ball to the man. Fang saw the man give the woman a triumphant look. The woman let out a growl, recalled her Pokemon, then stormed off. "Thank you for rescuing me," The man told Fang. "Here!" he handed an empty Great ball and a berry to the former Operative. "That's not necessary," Fang began. "No, take it," The man instructed. "I'd feel bad about it if you didn't." He let out a sudden sneeze. "Great," he moaned. "Now I'm catching a cold. I'd better get back to town." Fang watched silently as the man left. With a sigh, Fang put the items off and patted Okibi once more. "Guess it's time to move on," the teen muttered. 4 ![]() Good choice, male solidarity and such I suppose... Anyway Fang continues and manages to get into Sinklands. Here he discovers a Grimer playing in the mud, it is a friendly enough fellow to Pokemon, but it doesn't like humans. The rules are simple, The Grimer can be battled and caught with 2 Pokeballs. OR you can send a Pokemon in to talk to the Grimer and persuade it to join your team. If you go with the second option you must end the FUDD before it makes up it's mind and The next mod will be the judge of whether the Grimer was persuaded... Also there are 2 logged in the nearby mud.

3 ![]() Okibi slowed down on his gait as he neared the sinklands. The Arcanine didn't want anything to do with the mud and gave a glare at Fang. "Alright, buddy," Fang sighed, sliding off of the powerful creature. "I won't make you wade through this if you don't want to." To Fang's relief, Okibi looked happier at that. With a sigh, Fang recalled the dog of fire and glanced at the mud before him in distaste. I'll just stay up here, thanks. Fang heard Oracle as she landed on his shoulder. The Ralts didn't want a thing to do with the mud either. "Looks like it's up to me, then," Fang mused, wincing as his legs sank into the deep mud. He shuddered at the coldness, but kept wading forward, trying to find dry ground. But there was none. Fang wouldn't be that lucky. Hey, look! Fang looked up as Oracle drew his attention. The psychic-type pointed at a small purple mound of goo that frolicked around in one of the pools of mud. Oracle turned to Fang excitedly. Have you caught one of those things yet? she asked. "No," Fang growled, feeling miserable since he was covered in mud. "And I think I've had just about enough of gunk for today. Blow it up, Oracle." The Ralts looked a bit surprised, but shrugged and turned to the Grimer, her eyes blazing with psyonic energy. A ripple of energy erupted from Oracle's body, slamming into the unsuspecting pile of goo. The Grimer let out a loud screech and fell. Well, that was brutal. Oracle crossed her arms and leaned against Fang's neck. Fang only grunted and began to move on. But out of the corner of his eye, he saw a subtle movement. Fang turned in time to see the Grimer shoot a wad of gunk towards Oracle. The Ralts flinched slightly, but Fang was swifter than the Grimer. With an expert block, he threw his arm in front of Oracle, allowing the acidic goo to slap against his forearm. Immediately, Fang regretted that reflex. His skin began to burn, leaving Fang to hop around as he frantically tore the acid away from his arm. Oracle was swift to chuck another Confusion attack at the Grimer, putting it down for good. "Sonuva-" Fang hopped around, finally plunging his arm into the mud below him. The cool mud soothed his arm. As he swished his arm around, Fang's hand bumped against an object. "Huh," Fang grunted, pulling his arm out and picking up two Potions. Fang wondered briefly if he could use the Potion on his arm, but dismissed the thought. Still, he wasn't chucking the mud-crusted things in his bag. With a sigh, Fang waded on. OOC: Knocking the Grimer out and finding two potions |

So for your heroics, have: 4 ![]() 1 for Oracle2 x for Oracle (for Fang's reflexes). And your 2 potions. Now, you continue through the Sinklands. You find a male and female Skorupi mud wrestling. You may befriend and catch both of them (with 1 Pokeball). However they want to go together and will be upset if you split them up (2 x Pokeballs to catch). Edited by Jex, Feb 28 2013, 08:39 PM.

3 ![]() "Right. That's done," Fang said, giving the fainted Grimer a distasteful look. Oracle slowly floated off of Fang's shoulder. The gesture surprised the teen; he thought that Oracle didn't want to be near the mud! But her eyes were distant, and soon, the Pokemon began to glow. "Evolving already?" Fang gritted his teeth and shaded his eyes from the harsh light emitting from the psychic-type. Even though night still hung heavily over the swamp-like area that Fang was traversing through, the Ralt's body was shining much like a miniature star. Through narrowed eyes, Fang could see Oracle's limbs lengthening slightly. Her headpiece shifted. Then, like shattering glass, fragments of light flew outward, revealing Oracle's new body. She floated down softly, landing on Fang's shoulder once more. "You're not much bigger than before," Fang remarked. This isn't my final form, though! Orchid protested, giving Fang's head a gentle shove. With a shrug, Fang continued plodding on through the mud. "More Pokemon?" Fang quirked an eyebrow as he passed two trees. Before Oracle and he, two poison-types were wrestling in the mud. For the first time, Fang was unsure of what he was looking at. The teen was forced to reach into his pocket and pull out his Pokedex. "Skorupi - The Scorpion Pokemon," the Pokedex chirped happily, "Skorupi have a deadly poison in their claws allowing them to use Poison-type moves. Its mouth also contains a powerful jaw enabling it to use Bite and Crunch. It can also survive a year without food." "Huh," Fang grunted, closing the Pokedex and stuffing it back into his pocket. "I think I'd like one of them." But which one? Oracle asked. That was a question that Fang was unable to answer. The teen waded forward slowly. He saw the two Skorupi look up in surprise. They exchanged a glance, then turned as if to flee. "Hang on, hang on," Fang soothed, holding his hands up "I'm not going to hurt you." The two insects looked at each other again, but didn't move to leave. Even so, Fang didn't dare draw nearer; he didn't want to scare the tiny creatures away. "So, uh, hey!" Fang frowned. He was used to talking to Oracle by now. But to a wild Pokemon? This was something completely different. "What are you guys doing out here this late?" At first, only silence greeted Fang's words. But the female Skorupi began to chatter. Of course, Fang wasn't able to understand the Pokemon. Fang looked at Oracle hopefully. I'm the translator. Got it. Oracle floated to Fang's other shoulder and sat down, crossing her legs. These two are brother and sister, the Kirlia explained. She says they're training. "Training?" Fang repeated, sounding baffled. It was the first time Fang had heard of a wild Pokemon training. He had always thought that they just - well - survived. "That's great for you two to do that," Fang told the Skorupi. The teen could have sworn he saw the female puff her chest out slightly. "But why would you do that?" Again, it was the female who answered. Her brother seemed a bit distrustful of Fang. He hung back slightly, allowing his sister to do the interaction. The female finished, clicking her front claws together. She says that they're trying to become stronger, Oracle explained, narrowing her eyes. Of course, that would be the reason you train. But why do you want to become stronger? Oracle aimed her thought outward so that the Skorupi siblings could hear her. The pair looked a bit shocked to hear the Kirlia's thoughts and looked around as if trying to find the new voice. "It's okay, you two," Fang soothed. "This is Oracle." The teen motioned to the psychic-type on his shoulder. Even for all her braveness, the female Skorupi visibly shuddered at the sight of Oracle. Fang could understand why; interactions between psychic and poison-types usually ended poorly for the poison-type. "Don't worry," Fang glanced at Oracle. "She won't attack you." The brother continued to glare at Fang, but the sister relaxed and clicked her claws together once more. She chattered yet again, and Fang turned to Oracle for the translation. To his surprise, the Kirlia looked shocked. Then, a look of realization crossed Oracle's features. I see... and you two were too young to know the difference... Oracle fell silent, musing over what she had just heard. "Don't leave me in the dark," Fang complained. "What's going on?" The Kirlia was silent for a moment longer before answering. There was a third, Oracle began, looking troubled. She was captured, though. These two have been training ever since so they could leave the sinklands and try to find their sibling... Fang frowned. So that's how it was. It explained why the male Skorupi was so distrustful. But what of the female? Was she simply naive? Or had she lost so much hope that she had resorted to trusting a random trainer plodding through the mud under the moonlight? Fang shook his head sadly. "I can't help you directly," Fang admitted heavily. The female Skorupi tilted her head to the side. "But I can help you if you trust me. If you travel with me, I can train you myself and make you stronger. It's-" Fang trailed off, trying to find the right words to say. "If your sibling was captured, I'm sorry to say that it would be hard to track her down. That's the simple fact that I have to break to you. But traveling by yourselves will be dangerous. If you come with me, your chances would be greater. They would still be slim, but greater nonetheless." The two siblings looked at each other for a long time. Minutes trickled by as they talked to one another. Fang waited patiently. Finally, the sister looked back at Fang and nodded slowly. They're willing to come, Oracle told Fang. The brother isn't too happy about it, but he's not going to let his sister go alone. "Right," Fang murmured, standing up and producing two Pokeballs. "Then welcome to the team." |

5 ![]() Wow, Pokemon who decided to train on their own? Aren't they the progressive type. Well that training should serve them well in your team: 31 33Now you may free yourself of these dreaded Sinklands and enter the Frozen Valley. And after a short time walking a blizzard seems to pick up. If you look you might spot a Swinub in the center causing the trouble. (Cannot be Befriended, takes 2 Pokeballs to capture.) 4 (Also need happiness on those two Skorupi, pleaseWith a small ding, both of the siblings were caught. The Pokeballs rolled gently in Fang's hands, then suddenly vanished. The teen smiled. Don't worry, my friends, Fang thought, standing up and looking towards the south. A large valley yawned before Fang. Frozen mountains lined either side, looming over like fangs. That looks cold, Oracle remarked, giving the snow-capped mountains a distasteful look. You didn't happen to bring a jacket, did you? "No," Fang admitted, moving forward. "I don't think it'll matter, though. We'll be in and out of this place in a flash. You just watch!" Famous last words. Fang soon regretted his decision as the former Operative entered the bitter valley. A blizzard had erupted to life as the teen ventured further and further into the frozen wasteland. He had recalled Oracle, already; the teen wasn't about to make his psychic-type suffer needlessly in the arceus-forsaken conditions. The cold bit Fang hard; frost was swiftly forming on Fang's eyebrows and eyelashes. His blistered arm was hurting especially; the acid burn was not doing good in the freezing weather. Ten minutes passed. Twenty. Thirty. The Valley was much larger than Fang had accounted for. The teen felt the strength sapped from his body. Every bone in his body ached from the cold. "Dammit, this is impossible!" Fang complained through chattering teeth. He went down to reach for Okibi's Pokeball. The Arcanine had thick fur and happened to be a fire-type. But the Pokeball was frozen to his belt! "What the hell?" Fang grumbled, wrenching it free. Clicking the release button, the former Operative allowed Okibi to emerge. "Hey buddy," Fang coughed, putting his weight on the Arcanine. "Just need some warmth. You don't mind, do you?" Okibi shook his head. Okibi was radiating with heat. Enough to melt the snow beneath the dog's feet. It took Fang precious minutes to get warm enough so that he could tend to his arm. He wrapped it in bandages and flexed it several times. "That's a lot better," Fang sighed, looking around. Try as he may, the teen couldn't make a single thing out in the blizzard. Okibi raised his muzzle and sniffed the air. Fang could hear a growl forming in the Arcanine's throat. Without warning, the dog of fire blazed forward, encasing his muscular body in flames. Fang could only watch in awe as Okibi charged through the snow like a runaway train. There was a solid smack and a screech. The flames around Okibi's body died down. And with that, Fang realized that the blizzard began to ease off. By the time the former Operative hobbled over to Okibi's side, the teen was able to see what the cause of the blizzard was. A Swinub! The ice-type was on his back, charred to the point where it was hardly recognizable. Okibi had obviously only needed to hit the creature once; the ice-type couldn't stand up to a full-fledged Flare Blitz. But Fang knew that the Arcanine would have suffered recoil from such a magnificent attack. With that, Fang called Oracle out. The Kirlia went to work immediately, pulsing her healing energies into Okibi's sore muscles. "Thanks for that," Fang nodded to the psychic-type, then turned to Okibi. "And that was brilliant of you to sniff that Pokemon out!" he praised the Arcanine. The dog puffed his chest out slightly. "Now let's get the hell out of here." |

4 ![]() "This is getting ridiculous," Fang complained, rubbing his hands together to try and generate warmth. Okibi traveled by Fang, seemingly unfazed by the bitter cold. That came as no surprise, of course. Fang would have given an arm to have a coat right about now. "Seriously," Fang grumbled, "this is cold as-" The teen cut off, narrowing his eyes as a boy came into view. The boy had a ball cap, a T-shirt, and shorts on. He stood behind a brightly colored vending machine that read 'Ice Cream.' "Hell. What the actual hell?" Fang quirked an eyebrow, trying to let the facts sink in. It was a boy. Selling ice cream. In the bitter cold. It was still snowing. The boy was wearing summer clothes. Fang shook his head. Even Okibi looked a bit confused. "Hey!" The boy seemed to see Fang approaching and waved the teen over. "Want to buy some ice cream?" "Well, at least he's direct," Fang grumbled, giving Okibi a sideways glance. The Arcanine let out a small growl. Fang sighed and passed the vending machine up. "Seriously, who in their right mind would buy ice cream in this weather?" he asked to nobody in particular. "Hey!" Fang turned his head to see that the boy had abandoned his stall and was running to catch up. "Want to buy some ice cream?" Grudgingly, Fang stopped, allowing the boy to catch up. "Uh, no. I don't," Fang said bluntly, giving the boy an angry glare. He wasn't mad at the kid, but he was in a pissed off mood in general. But the kid didn't even seem to notice Fang's hostilities. Either that, or he didn't care. "Come on!" he urged, jogging in place. "It's really good!" "Look kid," Fang snapped at the boy. "I don't know who the hell you are, but you aren't going to make any money by selling ice cream in a frozen tundra. Try some hot chocolate or something, would you?" Fang started to walk away once more. To Fang's annoyance, the boy continued to keep pace. Seriously, couldn't this kid take a hint? "A lot of people buy my ice cream here!" the boy told the former Operative. "Oh yeah?" Fang grunted. "I don't exactly see a line forming." "Hey! How about we make a wager, then?" the boy shot back, looking as eager as before. "What wager?" Fang asked, narrowing his eyes. To no surprise, the boy whipped out two Pokeballs. "A battle!" the kid declared. "And you'll leave me alone if I win?" Fang asked, crossing his arms. Okibi sat down next to the former Operative. "Yup! But if I win, you've gotta buy my ice cream!" the kid declared. "That's not going to happen," Fang growled, producing his chosen Pokeballs. The Pokeball containing Poochy was in one hand - Purity's in the other. "So, what are your rules?" The kid rubbed a finger under his nose. "Double battle!" he decided. "Two Pokemon, no substitutions allowed." Fang decided not to point the obvious out. If only two Pokemon were allowed, there couldn't be any substitutions, regardless. "Fine," Fang grunted, backing up to allow ample space between him and the kid so that their Pokemon could do battle. "Alright! Here we go!" The boy still hadn't lost any of his excitement. "Vanillite! Ducklett! You guys are up!" Fang watched with bated breath as the two Pokemon emerged, then quirked an eyebrow. "Really, kid?" Fang groaned. "You're challenging me to a fight with those two?" Fang glared at the two Pokemon with distaste. They were both weak. And Fang already knew both of their counters could be performed with only one of his Pokemon. Hilariously enough, Fang already had her Pokeball in his hands. "What do you mean by that?" The kid protested, looking a bit hurt. "Tell you what," Fang offered, putting Poochy's Pokeball back on his belt. "I'm going to change the rules of this battle a bit." "How so?" "I want to make it a bit more interesting." Fang grinned savagely. Okibi glanced over at his trainer, narrowing his eyes. "I'll only use one of my Pokemon. The wager will still hold, though." "But-" the kid started. "Why are you complaining?" Fang asked. "Surely this would be beneficial to you!" "Well, if you wanna..." The kid sounded uncertain. "Perfect..." Fang muttered, twirling a Pokeball on one finger. He tossed it into the air. "Then with that, you're up! Go, Purity!" There was a flash of white light as the Ninetales materialized onto the battlefield. The fire-type's tails waved nonchalantly. Fang grinned as the boy before him looked a bit confused. "That's a fire-type," the boy pointed out. "It may be good against my Vanillite, but it won't fare well against my Ducklett!" The boy began to look a bit more confident. Fang's sneer never wavered. "Are you sure about that?" he asked, pointing up to the sky. Purity's ability had sprung into action. An artificial sun rose above the horizon, casting a powerful and harsh light upon the battlefield. The temperature climbed rapidly, melting the ice around Fang and giving way to green grass beneath. "Sunny Day has been activated," Fang pointed out. "T-t-that doesn't change anything!" Fang huffed at the boy's words. How naive could one person be? "We'll see," Fang said, snapping his fingers. "Purity! Let's knock that ice cream cone out in one fell swoop. I don't want to see any more ice! Flamethrower!" "Vanillite!" the boy called out to his Pokemon. "Mirror Coat!" Cute, Fang thought, watching the ice cream cone shimmer. But that Vanillite won't survive a single hit from Flamethrower. Especially with Sunny Day active... And Fang was right, of course. The Ninetales opened her maw and released a powered-up version of Flamethrower. The powerful column of flames washed over the Vanillite and hit a nearby tree. The frozen wood exploded instantly from the sudden heat, sending splinters out as shrapnel. The boy's jaw dropped as he saw the Vanillite fall. "You can back down at any time," Fang offered as the battle swiftly turned into a one versus one. "I guarantee that your Ducklett won't be able to deal sufficient damage to Purity with the weather in my favor!" "I-I'm not going to be defeated that easily!" the kid shot back, looking as if he was struggling to come up with a strategy. "There's no shame in backing down from a fight you can't win," Fang told him. After all, you're not fighting an ordinary trainer. You're fighting a former Operative, Fang thought darkly. You're just a bit outmatched, kiddo... Fang narrowed his eyes as he saw light flare in the child's eyes. "I know!" he exclaimed, looking proud. "Ducklett! Rain Dance!" Fang frowned. So, the kid could actually be strategic? Perhaps the battle would be a bit more interesting, now. The former Operative glanced up as the artificial sun above vanished. Thick drops of rain began to fall. "And you said that this would be a two versus one!" the boy reminded Fang. "No switches!" "Yep," Fang asserted. "I did say that. And I'll stick to it."
"How useless is my Ducklett now?" Fang heard the boy crow. "Not bad, kid. Not bad," Fang admitted. "But this battle is hardly over just yet." Fang thought long and hard, running several different scenarios over in his head. The child's Ducklett had now become a threat to Purity. Especially with the heavy rain falling. The Ninetales before him shifted restlessly, looking uncomfortable. Fire-type attacks were now completely out of the question; they would only have a quarter of their original effectiveness. "Not going to attack?" The kid asked, sounding triumphant. "Then we'll take the initiative! Ducklett! Water Pulse!" Fang was out of time. Confuse Ray would be a good bet, but it was only a fifty percent shot in the dark. So Fang had no choice but go to plan B. "Purity! Captivate!" "Capti-what?" The boy asked. Fang realized that the child didn't even know what was about to happen. Purity was much swifter than the duckling and got up to her four paws. She swayed back and forth seductively, sharply lowering the Ducklett's Special Attack. When the dual-type attacked, his power had been lowered by a substantial amount. The water hit Purity hard, but the Ninetales was able to get up and shake the water from her pelt. "How?" The boy looked confused. Fang grinned. "Captivate," he explained. "It lowers your Ducklett's offensive ability by a large amount. That rain is the only thing that is allowing your Ducklett to do any damage now!"
"Now the battle really begins!" Fang exclaimed, snapping his fingers once more. "Puity! Extrasensory!" A wave of psychic energy poured out from the Ninetales like ripples in a lake, crashing into the tiny duck. The dual-type recoiled harshly; Fang knew that the attack had dealt a massive amount of damage. But the boy wasn't about to give up just yet. "Ducklett! Hit it with another Water Pulse!" The attack was traded once more, but Purity got up yet again, shaking water from her pelt. Purity looked fatigued. But so did the Ducklett.
"Aaaaaand, once more," Fang told Purity as the Ducklett struggled to get up. The Ninetales attacked without mercy, tearing away the final life from the small duckling. With a flop, the Ducklett fell, unable to return to battle. Fang looked at the boy. He never saw anybody look so crestfallen. "I lost?" The boy looked to be on the verge of tears. He recalled both of his Pokemon. "How did I lose?" Fang sighed as the boy began to walk away slowly. He couldn't stay mad at the world anymore. Besides, the rain had stopped falling, and so did Fang's temper. "Kid!" Fang called the boy back. The boy glanced at him. "I'll buy one of your ice cream cones, alright? You did good." Fang grinned as the boy's face lit up. ================================= ================================= Finally emerging from the Frozen Valley, Fang had an ice cream cone in his hand and was fifty Zenni poorer. Still, he had a win under his belt against a trainer, and that had to account for something. Fang didn't care for the ice cream. Hilariously enough, Purity loved it. Fang watched as the Ninetales kept pace with him, eagerly taking bites from the cone. Fang suspected that the fire-type would have rolled herself in the ice cream if Fang gave her the chance. Purity finished it up, leaving Fang to dust his hands off. And before the former Operative, the Malaral District beckoned him. OOC: Not sure if I get LP for defeating an NPC trainer in a Fudd or not, but up to you, I suppose. I included the math to show the details. |
