The plane to Jgsei hadn't left until morning, which left Steely napping in a hangar somewhere until a crewman gently poked her awake. The people at Genesis seemed... unsure what to think of her. A lot of people knew who Steely was, given how successful she had become, but even a perfect stranger could tell that something was... off. She made some more apricorn balls on the flight over from a set that she hadn't quite finished. Before, it had only taken her a few minutes to get ten of them together... now it took her a few hours. But, she didn't have anything better to do. She was the only person on the plane going to Jgsei anyways... the first Opaddekan trainer to do so. The plane touched down in the early morning, and Steely limped off of it and into the village-city. It was... well, nothing like Opaddeka, which is what she had been told. The buildings were made of stone and exposed wood, though very well built and sturdy looking. Steely stood stupidly for a bit in the little area that the Opaddekan's and Genesis had claimed, blinking at the castle in the distance. (...ok. Culture shock. Right.) Steely hobbled around the town a little bit with her cane, getting odd looks as she went. Everyone was so damn tall, and it would unnerve her if she weren't already used to Alex. She stopped to buy some supplies and sell the pokeballs she'd made on the way over, not realizing that she was being watched. A gigantic black braviary was staring at her from a nearby rooftop with a mandibuzz. The hawk's neck was stretched all the way out to see, intense yellow predator eyes glaring without actually glaring. He hobbled off of the edge of the building and stuck his head in a window. A few minutes later, as Steely was sitting on a fountain that she discovered and taking a break, she frowned when she heard fluttering wings, and twisted around to see- (Oh Arceus DAMN it, seriously??) Steely tried to lunge to her feet at the sight of the black braviary but was slow, and the woman with the bird darted around the fountain and grabbed Steely by the collar of her shirt, which made her freeze and shrink down immediately. The former Jgsei invader, mostly armor-less today, blinked with bemusement at Steely's behavior. "Sis, where did yo- oh no," Steely heard vaguely somewhere nearby, before another person ran over and gently pulled the wind warrior off. "What are you- that's an Opaddekan." Steely blinked as she straightened her shirt out again, leaning heavily on her cane and blinking at the two standing next to her. She realized, abruptly, that she'd heard the man say 'sis', and when she managed to scrape her thoughts together, and that much was obvious when she got a good look at them. Like most of the people she saw around here, they were tall with dark hair and tanned skin, though the girl was taller (and more muscular, Steely noticed) and they both had the same sky blue eyes. She said something in another language to her brother, and he did a double take at Steely. "Oh... you're that Opaddekan." "Buh?" "Raikou." Steely blinked at the female warrior and her thick accent, and just got glared at. After a moment, she tilted her head and turned away, gesturing for Steely to follow. "Would you... like to come to my home? You look like you'd be better of sitting down for a long conversation." After waiting a few seconds to see if Kat had any input, Steely shrugged and limped after the smirking female warrior. She looked back at her brother, "<I told you she'd come with us.>" Steely was half laying on the table as they talked for hours, or at least as much talking as Steely felt she was capable of. The Jgsei invader's name was Asteria Gryphon. Much to her chagrin, her brother cheerfully informed Steely that her nickname within their family was Windy. She only spoke a few scraps of English, though she understood the basics from what Xilas had taught most of them before they invaded. Hey, if you're going to take over and occupy somewhere, may as well understand what's being said to you, or something like that. She didn't seem like she wanted to talk about that... or anything to do with the invasion, really. Steely pointedly didn't mention anything of the sort, or how they'd met in Murmur and... well, tried to kill each other. Windy didn't mention it either, and her brother seemed to be aware of it but tried to keep the conversation away from it. Windy was a surprisingly pleasant person to be around, even if she was a little rough around the edges... which Steely pointed out to Kat, sounded kind of familiar. She had an intense gaze, like a hawk, and didn't smile much. "I'm one of the few people here who is fluent in your language, which is helpful. I'm surprised that I haven't been busy yet, with that event done and over with. You're the first Opaddekan that I recognize from the broadcast." Steely made a noncommittal noise and gingerly rubbed the back of her head, careful of the base of her neck. Windy had been quiet for a few minutes and was watching Steely, suddenly saying something out of nowhere. Her brother blinked at her, "No, I'm not asking her that." She rolled her eyes while Steely blinked in confusion, and leaned forward, pointing at Steely's face, "Eyes?" "Oh..." she looked away, still rubbing her head while her brother gave her a look. Steely debated how much she wanted to explain, "Just got hurt." Windy gave her a suspicious look at that, but didn't pry anymore. Eventually, the conversation wandered again. "So, what are you looking for out here? I can point you in the right direction, if you need." Steely stared at them then, wondering. She was... pretty sure she knew what the poem Catalyst had told her meant, but it wouldn't hurt... "Th'other half'a this," she reached into her pocket, fumbling around until she pulled out what she was looking for. She kept it in an enclosed hand until she could hold it out and open it for them both to see. To her surprise, both of the Jgseians jerked away in their own surprise. Windy stood up abruptly, pointed at the rock, rambling on about something, and suddenly darted away into another room. "...what? Sis, no." "Wh-?" "She said she wants to go with you," he sighed, putting his face in his hand. "...she c'n come." "What." Steely wasn't sure what she was thinking, especially when she came back in the same flight armor/gear that she'd had on when they'd fought in Murmur. She pointed at the rock, "Zekrom." "I can't... go with you guys, you know. I have to stay here in case they need another person to translate." "W'll b'fine," Steely shrugged, pushing herself up to stand. He shook his head like they were both crazy. Hey, maybe they both were. Hnngh, NPC building on the fly. Kinda. Asteria 'Windy' Gryphon, Nighthawk (braviary), Valkyrie (mandibuzz), (cryogonal), (escavalier), (volcarona), (mienshao) Already talked to Frac, as long as she has no effect on gameplay, then she can tag along with Steely for a bit.
