Greenhouse Plants on Hand *Need Berry Roll Eggs What a rush. It felt like no time at all until they were above Escennia, and the trio of flying types touched down in front of the Pokemon Centre. From there, Celeste went about setting up her room, a ritual she'd grown accustomed to in her travels. Soon enough, she was sitting on her bed with a collection of eggs in a nest made of blankets and plush pokemon and had three Watmel trees sitting by the window in the sunbeam. Speaking of which, she spied some berries on those branches and picked them quickly before settling back down again. It was only when she glanced up from the webpage displayed on her Control Hub's holographic 'screen' and looked out of the window that she noticed that it was getting close to sunset. She started to have the itch to fly again, and it was no mystery why. ...If you happen to catch me around the right time. Raggy still owed them a race. That was the exact second that there was a loud CRACK that echoed through Celeste's headphones, and she nearly jerked them off in surprise. On her display, smack-dab in the middle of her webpage, almost like a pop-up add, was a pixellated egg that had a crack running right through it. The two halves pulled apart and vanished, leaving a little angular bird-like creature sitting there. "Mommy!" came a chirp through her headphones, and Celeste sat there, staring blankly at the little 2-D porygon in front of her nose. What in the--? That was when her display suddenly vanished, and she watched the porygon slowly fade into existence where it had been. It looked down at itself and twirled around in the air, looking very proud of itself. Celeste continued to stare like an idiot, until the creature landed in her lap and let out a contented trilling noise. Without thinking, she stroked the angular head gently as her brain continued to be in a state of what just happened? Somehow, a porygon egg had ended up in her Control Hub. It'd be a little more disturbing if a her display hadn't popped back up again with a message on it: Surprise! Told you I was playing with the coding a little, and figured I'd give you a copy of my newest experiment. Hope you like the little guy; there should be a few tricks up his sleeve. Right. She'd been emailing back and forth with this guy in Ashdell who raised technology-based pokemon. Everything that had happened in Mayriver and the surrounding forest had made her neglect her inbox for a while. Thanks for the heart attack, Chris, she thought with a roll of her eyes as she gently scratched at the top of her new porygon's head. "Tricks, huh?" she said aloud, and the porygon looked up and trilled at her. "And you sound more like a girl than a boy, really..." More OOC: Registering Porygon (Hexadecimal) to a pokeball. (Starting ? )Swapping Hina and Hexadecimal for Shilo and Thane. Team is now: Ares, Robyn, Shilo, Thane, Eevee Egg (Delirium), Eevee Egg (Psyche). Bulbasaur and Absol eggs in extra egg slots. APL is 25.2. Ares zipped through the night sky with Celeste on his back, black and white staraptor in tow with sneasel rider. It was a warm night, but Celeste still had her dark coat on. The two birds darted through the city, just enjoying the freedom, but the redheaded woman was watching the skies. She didn't know if Raggy would be out here, but it would make sense if she were, given that the time traveler seemed to have done everything but outright say 'I'll be around if you're out at night.' Watching for Cotton seemed to make sense, since the altaria had recognized her in Murmur Valley, but, really, who knew what pokemon the troll would have? Celeste was expecting a few surprises. Back in the Pokemon Centre was a riolu curled up in a bed-turned-nest full of eggs, the door to the room locked. He wasn't asleep, though; Celeste had insisted Thane get some rest rather than join her in her nighttime flying, but he wasn't sleepy! That, and there was something about one of the eggs that grabbed his interest; he found himself right next to one of eevee eggs, occasionally touching its shell or putting his ear against it, wondering when it was going to hatch... 3 *swoops in like a derpy vulture* also 2, and 3 berries, porygon starts with 1 happyTick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock. For the most part, the street lamps in Escennia were all in perfect working order, even after the place had been leveled by the Jgesi invasion and all that. If nothing else, the rich snobs got their precious town back to looking somewhat good pretty quickly. So a street lamp being out was... odd. Celeste might notice one such thing, or she might notice the person that was standing on top of it. Not so much a person, but a troll. The thing here was that instead of wearing her black cloak, this one was red and didn't open in the front. Instead, there was a lighter red gear in the middle, and her hood and the piece it connected to around her neck and the two tails coming down from it were darker red. Oh, and the troll had wings. Moth wings, dull grays and black with an orange spot on the upper set of wings. She was standing with her dinosaur feets on the top of the post, hands behind her back under her wings and head bowed with eyes closed. Suddenly, she looked up right at Celeste. The troll looked... sad? Lonely, maybe? She brightened considerably just by smiling a little bit when Celeste got closer, and pushed off of the light pole to fly over to her on her barely-fluttering moth wings. "Hello." Surprised yet? 3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand Eggs Yes. Ares squawked a little when the troll flew over, and he peered at her in curiosity. Robyn cocked her head to one side, then puffed up a little; she wasn't afraid of the horned, time-traveling human-thing anymore, now that she was big and strong. Even if the human-thing now had wings. Okay, maybe that was a little scary, but she wasn't about to show that she thought that. Celeste blinked a couple of times, then cracked a smile. "Hey." She chuckled lightly. "Had a feeling tonight would be the night." But I really wasn't expecting wings. Shilo nudged Robyn a little to signal her to fly closer, and the staraptor came up beside Ares. The sneasel didn't speak, looking a little unsure. After all, she didn't know if Raggy had 'met' her yet. This could be their first meeting on the troll woman's side or merely one of many, so she simply nodded her head respectfully and waited for the situation to make itself clearer. |

3 ![]() For once, it was the troll's turn to look confused, "Wait, how did you know that I'd see you tonight?" she blinked at Celeste, looking surprised. Mostly because she knew why she knew she'd be seeing Celeste here, but how could the human know? She looked around at all of them, hovering perfectly in place with very little effort. She didn't even need to flap her wings, though they did vibrate a little bit as she hovered in the air. Not wanting to be rude and keep their feathered friends flapping, she waved them down to the ground. It was pretty dark, but not too dark. This particular block was just dark because none of the outside lights seemed to be working right now. But in the distance they were, which lit up the area well enough for Celeste to see. The troll didn't seem to have any trouble with it at all. She smiled somewhat shyly at Shilo, raising a hand to wave as she touched down and her wings folded up neatly behind her. "Hello, Shilo. I don't think I've met your feathered friends yet. My own feather-beast is around here somewhere, though I don't know where she went..." |

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Eggs Celeste knew she probably shouldn't have laughed, but a small one bubbled out nonetheless at the question. "Because you told me." Yes, she was being intentionally vague. Yes, she was doing it entirely to have fun with Raggy. She'd stop in a minute, honest. The two birds landed gracefully on the ground, and Celeste slid off her skarmory's back as Raggy spoke to Shilo. Ares immediately took that opportunity to hurry over to the troll woman and stick out his head in an obvious request for petting. Robyn stayed where she was as Shilo hopped down and gave a proper bow. "Good to see you again, Raggy," she said calmly, "These are Ares and Robyn." She gestured at each in turn with a claw. Celeste chuckled a little at the way her staraptor started puffing out her chest again in that 'I'm a tough bird now' way. "Come on, girl, give it a rest. She just said she hasn't met you yet." Robyn deflated and mumble-chirped something to herself. |

3 ![]() Raggy's bewilderment quickly turned to a frown when she realized what had happened here: "Oh, I didn't go far back enough this time, did I? Grr," she stamped her foot, "So this isn't the first time you've seen me since the tournament, is it?" She couldn't stay irritated at herself for long, though. Not with Ares there. So far, she seemed a bit droopy the whole time, but petting the metal bird seemed to help a lot. "It's nice to meet you two. You would get along well with-" It was when she heard humming that she stopped talking and looked around, and a swablu floated out of the darkness to land on her horn, smiling serenely at everyone present, "There you are! Did you have a hard time finding me again, little one?" she reached up to run her fingers through the bird's feathers, which only made her contented humming louder. |

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Still Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand *Still Need Berry Roll Eggs Celeste shook her head at the question of whether this was the first she'd seen her, really feeling she shouldn't be this amused and trying her best to hide it. Ares enjoyed the petting very much, and when the swablu appeared he cocked his head to one side and peered at her. Wow, he'd never seen a bird like her before! She was all fluffy! He crowed an enthusiastic hello. Robyn blinked and stared. Well, this wasn't quite what she'd expected. This time she was the big bird and Cotton was the little bird. She still chirped her own greeting at the swablu, though she made sure to stay where she was and out of Raggy's reach. Celeste gave the staraptor a light pat as she walked past to get a closer look at who she also assumed was an unevolved Cotton. She giggled lightly. Aww, she was such a cute little thing in this stage. "Well, hello there, Cotton," Celeste cooed gently, reaching up without a second thought to offer a bit of petting of her own to the little bird. She glanced back at Raggy. "You weren't too far off the mark with tonight, and it's good to see you either way." Edited by Vulpix Windchimes, Jan 8 2012, 10:12 PM.

3 derp 3, 4 berriesThe swablu seemed to polish the troll's horns before settling down between them, like a fluffy hat. She didn't stay there long, because when Ares crowed at her, she fluttered down and chirped rapid-fire pure joy at him. And she had never seen a bird like him before! He was so shiny and clean! But... she landed on his head spike and carefully polished off the fingerprints the troll had left on his beak. There! So shiny!!! She fluttered over to Robyn and said hello to her too, flapping a figure eight around the two birds. So. Happy. "Cotton?" the troll ran a hand over her horn, watching the swablu as she landed on Ares so she could get petted by Celeste. The little bird vibrated with humming, which only got louder like a purr at the attention, "That's a good name, actually. I'd been having a hard time thinking of a name for her." Remember how it's called paradox space? Yeah. "But it's good to see you too," she smiled pretty widely now, and stood a little straighter, "It's been a while, from my perspective anyways. I've been kind of busy." |

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand Eggs Celeste did a momentary double-take at the comment on the name, then just chuckled a little. Ares was just plain overjoyed; she shined him up much faster than his trainer did with that silly polishing rag. That, and he loved meeting other birds. It always blew him away how different all the types of birds could be from skarmory. Robyn was a bit more subdued, but she couldn't help but find the pair kind of cute, her poor first impression of the then-altaria having already been made up for. As for the bird's trainer, they'd see. Those wings still freaked her out a little. "Not too long from mine," Celeste commented, still petting the swablu. Like she'd said, the time-traveler hadn't missed the mark too much. "But a lot's still managed to happen." She stopped her affection toward Cotton for a moment to rub her right shoulder. "Survived a fight with a gryphon, but you might already know about that one..." She glanced at her staraptor. "No one's going to bite you, you know." Robyn huffed and puffed out her chest again, and Celeste couldn't help but laugh. "Okay, okay, tough girl..." She shook her head and looked back at Raggy with a smile. "She's met you before," she explained, "The time-travel thing spooks her a little." A loud chirp meant to mean 'it does not' came from the black and white bird of prey. |

Shows how much I pay attention! Also 3 berries. "It's funny how much can be packed into a short stretch of time. A couple of weeks can feel like a couple of sweeps," she got this really bizarre, distant sort of look. Like she was remembering something. It didn't seem to bother her, exactly, but she still had to shake her head afterwards. "And I didn't know about the gryphon, actually. To be fair, you kind of had other things on your mind last time I saw you," she rubbed the curve of a horn and looked away. Huh. The newly named Cotton fluttered up to sit on Celeste's head, checking for any hidden horns before settling down like a fluffy hat. Her trainer stared at her oddly for a second before laughing. "The time travel thing spooks anyone who doesn't know about it. Which is pretty much everyone. Eggy and Lady seem to have adjusted so far, and I doubt Cotton here will even notice," she gestured at the fluffy bird, who was humming and had an expression pretty much exactly like: ^_^ "And Lu seems to understand but I don't know if she'll get freaked out when it actually happens," she continued, bobbing back and fourth on her claws, acting like Celeste knew who this mysterious 'Lu' was. |

3 *edits* Thanks, Eevee!Greenhouse Plants on Hand *Need Berry Roll Eggs It figured that, even after seeing Raggy once before, Celeste was going to still feel a little lost talking to her. She figured 'sweep' was a measurement of time and didn't comment, but the fact that she'd 'had other things on her mind' last time caught her attention, especially when Raggy looked away. Celeste decided she didn't want to know. She doubted knowing would help her, since it had already 'happened' in Raggy's experiences. The idea of the future being set in stone was a bit frightening, and she closed her eyes and sighed slightly, before Cotton took her place as a hat and provided some much-needed distraction. "Comfy up there?" she asked with a small chuckle. Celeste blinked a little at Raggy when she talked about her pokemon. She recognized the names Eggy and Lady as the two pokemon she'd fought in the Little Cup, but as for the last one..."I don't think I've met Lu yet," she said, "I really only saw Cotton last time." Well, and her new buizel, but Celeste would leave that one as a surprise. Rubbing her shoulder again, she added, "But, yeah, there's a big gryphon in the Halcyon Forest. I think I was convinced I was going to die there for a while..." She gave an odd sort of laugh; she wasn't sure why she was even talking about it. Maybe because it helped it not be quite so terrifying. Though, now that she thought about it, the fact that she hadn't seen Raggy again was proof that she'd survive to do so, wasn't it? Her eyes flicked to the sneasel next to her, who had been quietly scanning the area, ears pricked, the entire time they were talking. "...I really don't think anyone's going to try to mug us out here, Shilo," she commented. Between the four pokemon and the fact that one of the two humanoid beings here was a winged troll, she doubted there was anyone, at least in this city, who would try their luck. The sneasel's feather-ear twitched slightly, and she glanced up at Celeste a moment later. "Perhaps. But I prefer to be safe; things lurk in the darkness that human eyes do not see." Celeste sighed a little. "True." Thinking of something, she added, "Hey, let me know if you hear wingbeats." Seeing Raggy was the main reason she'd come out tonight...but there were nocturnal pokemon lurking in cities, and two winged ones she wanted would be the easiest to detect. Worth keeping an ear out, anyway. Sorta looking for: Woobat, Murkrow (female) Edited by Vulpix Windchimes, Jan 9 2012, 08:29 PM.

3 2 and 3Cotton trilled like Celeste's head was the greatest perch ever. "Oh. You didn't meet Lusus? Hmm," she eagerly reached into her pocket, pulling out a ball and not even hesitating before releasing the catch on the luxury ball. The red light puffed up into another fluffy pokemon, this time an invasive species. Though whimsicott weren't exactly found in the wild, but... Unlike Raggy's other pokemon, this one had one tiny difference. The spiraled pieces on the side of its face were shaped more like... ram horns. Kind of like... well, you know. They were regular-normal-green, but still. Pokemon taking after their trainers, heh. "This is Lusus," she beamed proudly at the floating cotton sheep, who smiled shyly and waved at Celeste and co. "She was the first thing that I actually caught on my own. More like befriended, but..." she shrugged. The pair of ram-horned ladies looked at Celeste and Shilo, and then at each other. Cotton was content being oblivious and sitting on Celeste's head, "I can see in the dark, actually. And I think I can hear better then a human," she scratched behind her ear, "But, were you looking for something? You didn't exactly tell me what we did when we met this time..." |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand Eggs Celeste smiled at the whimsicott, immediately noting the obvious resemblance between the two and trying not to let out anything more than a little chuckle at it. "Nice to meet you, Lusus." She thought of her own first capture, and managed to keep from flinching; her and Talia got along well enough these days, but it had not exactly been how she'd imagined it when she'd stepped out of the lab that day. She rubbed the back of her neck a little at what Raggy said next. "You can. Better than me, anyway. Trust me." Celeste wasn't about to forget the encounter with Akuze. She hadn't realized the night-vision part, though it was fairly obvious in hindsight. She just felt more comfortable asking Shilo to keep watch, since she was doing it anyway. "There are a couple of nocturnal pokemon I'm interested in. Woobat and murkrow. But I didn't really come out here looking for them..." Ares turned his head in her direction, and the two shared a look. Celeste smiled and the skarmory crowed eagerly, spreading his wings. She looked at Raggy. "To be honest, you owe Ares and me a race." True, Cotton was a little thing now, but there were those wings that Celeste had been trying very hard not to comment on or stare at. The bit of flying before had seemed pretty effortless, so who knew how fast she could go? Edited by Vulpix Windchimes, Jan 9 2012, 09:02 PM.

3 ![]() "I do?" she seemed slightly confused at the concept of a race for a second before it hit her and she snapped her fingers, "Oh, I know what you're talking about now. Um. Sure? I don't really use these things for fun, much," she looked over her shoulder as her wings snapped open and then folded back up, "I can safely assume you mean no time shenanigans, correct?" she smiled at that. Oh the time shenanigans she could do. Lusus chuckled and floated effortlessly around them, looking at everyone curiously. Cotton snapped her eyes open when her teammate floated past, and she fluttered off of Celeste's head to follow as they swooped a loop around them, never going the same way. "Where should we race to?" she pushed off the ground, wings opening, and floated into the air, high enough to look around for a marker they could use, "I don't actually know this town very well." |

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Eggs Celeste more openly eyed the wings as attention was drawn to them. If she had something like those, she'd use them for fun all the time. A smile crossed her own face. "Yeah, let's stick to movement in three dimensions," she said with a chuckle. Not that she wasn't a little curious about said time shenanigans, but she could save that for later. She easily mounted Ares, and the skarmory took off quickly, practically shooting straight up. At the question, Celeste glanced around for a second and hummed. "Neither do I, really. Hold on a second." She pulled the headphones on for her Control Hub and adjusted the mic. "Activate display. Show map of current location." A holographic map of Escennia formed in front of Celeste, though she had to adjust the dials on her collar a little to keep her skarmory's head from cutting into it. A dot marked her current position. "Mark places of interest," she instructed, and more dots appeared. She tapped a few with her finger, and names appeared. She smiled. "Huh, the city park's not far from here. Just past those buildings." She gestured at a row of fancy-looking businesses, recognizable to the human present as such really only due to the street lights illuminating them. "Let's say the first one to the park's front gate wins?" she suggested, manually deactivating the interface and pulling off the headphones. That would give them a specific point to focus on once it was in sight. She was open to other ideas, though. Ares shifted impatiently underneath her as he hovered. He wanted to fly! Robyn looked up them, then at Shilo, and the pair shared a look. Edited by Vulpix Windchimes, Jan 9 2012, 10:20 PM.

3 I'm on a bus! Also, 2 and 2. Raggy watched Celeste with obvious curiosity at her neat little 'tech toy as she hovered in the air. She looked out over the city while she did her thing. Lu went over to Shilo and floated next to her, "Could I ride with you?" she asked quietly. Cotton boldly just landed on Robyn and shined up Shilo's nearest claw while they waited for an answer. She wouldn't mind a ride either, since she was tiny and not very fast. The troll turned her attention That Way, floating up a little bit to see, "Simple enough. Sure," she looked back at Celeste, and ran a hand over her horn, "...do we just go or should one of the others tell us when to go? I've never raced before." Down on the ground, Lu sighed. |

3 ((OOC note so I don't forget: Confirming the Pidove from Alexandra.)) Greenhouse Plants On Hand Eggs Celeste blinked slowly. She'd never...? Then again, she had just said she didn't use her wings for fun much, and Celeste was probably more fond of racing than the average person. She liked to run, to ride, and especially to fly, so when someone else was around who was also doing such, why not race? She glanced down toward Shilo, opening her mouth to say something, only to notice that the sneasel was back on Robyn's back and surrounded by Raggy's other pokemon. The sneasel's feather-ear twitched when Cotton and Lusus came over not a moment after she'd gotten back on the dark staraptor. She squashed the urge to pull her claw away from the polishing swablu and simply tolerated it as she looked at Lusus. "I have no problem with that," she said simply, "But I am not the one carrying us." Robyn clicked her beak, offended. "Please. I can carry all of you and still outfly metal feathers." Celeste squeaked and hung on tighter as Ares suddenly rolled forward slightly to squawk directly downward. "Why don't you put your money where your beak is!" "Easy, boy," Celeste half-soothed, half-ordered as she tried to get her voice down to its proper pitch. This wasn't a good time to be reminded that she didn't exactly have one big happy flock amongst her bird pokemon. She didn't particularly want to go splat on the pavement. "Shilo, you think you could start us off?" The sneasel nodded and, sensing the tenseness of the staraptor under her, wisely waited for Lusus to get on before she called, "Ready...set...go!" Ares crowed and tore forward like a silver bullet on 'go,' and, not surprisingly, Robyn shot straight up in the air to a similar height and took off after him as if also part of the competition. Which she was, in her mind. |

3 ![]() The troll chuckled at Celeste and her little group, and tensed in midair, getting ready. Lusus and Cotton both scrambled to get a hold on their gigantic-bird-express. The cottony bird prolly wasn't expected, but it wasn't like she weighed anything. So with those two taken care of, Raggy nodded a little and fixed her attention ahead to where they were supposed to go. She didn't actually seem to need to flap her wings to stay in the air, but they still seemed to go tense when the sneasel counted down, and she coiled up like a snake ready to strike. And then they were off! To be fair, there's not much that can be said here. Raggy is not, in fact, a skarmory. Or a staraptor. Based on stats, the 'raptor would be faster, but... for sake of them not bickering, let's say that the two birds came in at the same time, with the troll just barely behind them. Maybe the universe decided to fiddle with something, but hey. Though they'd prolly still find something to argue about, who knows. "I'm really not very fast," the troll laughed once they touched back down on the ground again, and Cotton was flapping circles around everyone and singing, "I doubt I would have survived very long if I couldn't stop time." |

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand Eggs The tie between the two birds could be chalked up to Ares having a more experienced rider, and being more experienced in carrying a rider. Robyn had the sense to hold back a little for the sake of the pokemon on her back. That didn't stop the cliche of the pair simultaneously squawking a loud, "I win!" as they reached the gate at the same time, and sharing a fierce glare before Celeste directed Ares to land. Celeste smiled a little, managing not to wince at the word 'survive,' as she got off her skarmory's back. Shilo quickly followed suit when Robyn landed, already knowing what was coming when the two birds of prey locked each other in another heated glare. "Hey, don't sell yourself short," the human woman commented, "Ares is bred for flying with a rider, and I wouldn't be able to fly at all without my pokemon. I'd probably be seamonster food if I didn't have--Would you two cut it out?" Her gaze snapped over her shoulder at her skamory and staraptor, and they both broke their glare at the same time to look at her. "This smug jerk was using Agility!" Robyn accused, pointing a wing at Ares. He squawked and snapped his beak with a sound like scissors. "I was not! You're just a sore loser!" Robyn flapped her wings a few times. "I didn't lose! And I can fly circles around you any day!" Celeste didn't need to understand what they were saying to know what was going on. She sighed and shook her head. "If you two want a rematch, have a rematch. Just don't fly too far." They took off simultaneously nearly before she could get out the last sentence, and the redhead sighed again. "Sorry about them. They usually get along okay, but Robyn's gotten a bit competitive since she evolved." She leaned against the metal gate a little and glanced up at Cotton. "Maybe you could meet some of my other birds sometime tonight. I've got a ton of them." It was only after she said that that she really thought about it. A lot of her bird pokemon had fairly...strong personalities. Ronin and Talia were, well, Ronin and Talia, though maybe the sight of a cute little thing like Cotton would get them to let their guard down a bit. And Hunter would need to be firmly told that Raggy was not an alien. Well, okay, maybe she was an alien under some definitions, but that wasn't the point. She liked to think the chatot had mellowed over time, but better safe than sorry. |

3 3 berriezThe troll held her hands up and the swablu automatically swooped over and landed in her hands so she could hold the bird in front of her. Cotton sat there with complete contentment, just smiling and singing. "It's a bad habit I have," she mumbled really quietly, in reference to selling herself short. She looked up at the two birds and chuckled a little at them and Celeste. She set Cotton on her shoulder, for a moment, so she could unbutton the bits of her hood that let her horns poke through and pull her hood down. The two tails of the hood were so long that they trailed on the ground when her hood was down, but they magically didn't seem to get dirty. "I wouldn't mind meeting any of your pokemon, actually. I like all beasts," she scritched the cotton bird under her chin. It seems like the cute things just gravitated towards her for some reason. Lusus landed on Raggy's other shoulder and sat down, holding onto her horn. And to be fair, if Raggy had her say before Celeste did, she would call herself an alien, if only because it was what she was used to being called. |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Eggs Celeste breathed a chuckle and rubbed the back of her neck. "Well, not all of mine are that friendly," she admitted. Boy, was that an understatement sometimes. Ignoring the outright violent ones, she still had a number of pokemon who weren't really very social. "I only have these guys with me right now. My riolu's back at the Pokemon Centre, but he's asleep. Or at least he's supposed to be." Knowing Thane, she would probably come back to find him wide awake. Silly boy. A loud crowing broke out above her, followed by a falcon-like screech. Celeste frowned and looked up at Robyn and Ares in what looked like a mid-air argument. "Hey, don't wake up the whole town!" she called, and the two fell silent, glared at each other, and flew off again. Celeste shook her head. Those two... Shilo was glancing around again, watching and listening for anything, just in case. She never really stopped being on guard. Thane, true to his trainer's prediction, was wide awake and sitting up on the bed at this point. He just couldn't sleep; it felt like something kept tugging him back to consciousness every time he started drifting off. He really didn't have much to occupy himself with, since he didn't know how to read and Celeste had taken her Control Hub with her, which meant no using it to play video games. He'd tried to meditate like Shilo had taught him to do once, but the same thing that kept him from sleeping was affecting that, too. Thane inhaled slowly and then let out a long howl that translated more-or-less to, "Booooooooooooooored..." CRACK! Thane's ears pricked up immediately, and he froze in terror. Was that one of the eggs? Oh no no no no no...The eggs couldn't hatch now! Celeste wasn't here! He immediately located the egg in question, cracks rapidly spider-webbing across its shell. The eevee egg that had been fascinating him before. The riolu stared for a moment before something in his brain engaged. A towel! He needed a towel. Yes, towel. Get a towel! With a yip, he bounded off the bed and raced to Celeste's pack. Toweltoweltowel... Articles of clothing went flying in different directions until a particularly loud crack and what sounded like coughing made him blindly grab one of Celeste's shirts and leap back onto the bed in a blur of blue and black. A little brown and cream pup lay in a pile of eggshells, coughing and sneezing, and Thane rapidly started drying him off with the dark T-shirt. "It's okay. You're gonna be okay. I'm here. You're gonna be okay." The fluffy little pup sneezed and blinked at Thane with large eyes when he finally finished and tossed the shirt onto the floor. The eevee tilted his head to one side slowly. "Vee...?" Thane found himself at a loss for what to do, so he smiled and lightly patted the pup on the head. "Hi. I'm Thane...I'm your big brother." He wasn't even sure where that had come from, but it had felt natural to say. The puppy seemed to understand as he slowly looked around at his surroundings. "Vee?" "Mom's not here. But she'll be back soon." Thane had never explicitly called Celeste his mother, but it, again, seemed natural right now. He added with a little chuckle, "We're supposed to be asleep." The eevee blinked, then shook his head sharply. "Vee!" Thane laughed. "I'm not sleepy either." for new baby?

3 and three berries from each tree AND three happy for the furball. Raggy ran a hand over her horn, "To be fair, the only one of your pokemon that I've met is Shilo here," she glanced at the sneasel, "But, it's up to you. I don't mind much, regardless." She looked up at the noise too, and Lu covered her eyes. Angry flying types = no thanks for her. Cotton was oblivious. Ignorance is bliss. Or the bird is just made of bliss, who knows. "I guess I'm pretty lucky that all my pokemon get alon-" she stopped suddenly, and tilted her head. Wings, somewhere off in the dark nearby. Lots of wings. Startled by the two loud birds, perhaps? Either way, Shilo could certainly hear them too, though neither of them could tell if they were leathery of feathery wings. "Shall we?" the Hero of Time glanced at the human. Sound of Lots Of Wings Off That Way. Investigate: Y/N? |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand Eggs Celeste blinked. Only met Shilo? What sort of circumstances could she be in where only the sneasel was around? She pushed it aside, in favour of thinking of which pokemon Raggy might enjoy meeting, besides the friendlier of her birds. Maybe some of her ghosts? She certainly hadn't seemed bothered by Desumasu before. Maddie would probably be happy to see the troll again, depending on how much she really remembered anything clearly from before her evolution. When Raggy stopped and appeared to be listening, Celeste froze and glanced between her and Shilo, whose feather-ear was twitching left and right. At the question, she looked momentarily confused until Shilo realized she couldn't hear it and said calmly, "Flapping wings." "Oh," the human woman said, a smile crossing her face. "Sure. Let's check it out." She looked up at the pair of birds of prey darting around above her and put her fingers in her mouth to let out a loud, shrill whistle. Then she realized a moment too late that there were people with sensitive ears right beside her. Oops. Ares swooped down and landed next to her, Robyn following suit more due to his actions than the sound. Celeste looked from one to the other. "Looks like you guys did wake somebody up. We might have another member for the flock if we're lucky." Luck depended more than just on whether the wings belonged to a species she was searching for, after all. There was the whole process of convincing them to come as well. After some of the bloody things she'd had to go through lately, she was pretty desperate for something peaceful. Time to see if luck was on her side. Celeste pulled herself onto the back of her skarmory, waiting for someone who could actually hear the wings to lead the way. |

3 ![]() The troll only scrunched up her face at the whistle and didn't say anything. Whups. She withdrew Lusus, who was looking a little uncomfortable with all this talk about flapping wings and the birds being right there and everything. Cotton took up her spot as the troll's headwarmer and set to polishing the spiraling horns while everyone was doing whatever. The catweasel and the troll led the human into the park, looking around. Near the fountain (because every good park has a fountain), the troll came to an abrupt stop and blinked. A shiver ran down her spine at all the little eyes peering at them. All over the fountain, in the trees... eyes. One of them flapped from the tree to land on the fountain and stare at them - a particularly big blackbird with a dashing hat. A couple more came from the trees to flank the bigger bird. They were all awake, that's for sure. "Isn't... the black flapbeasts at night... a bad omen?" she whispered cautiously, just as she realized that they were surrounded by blackbirds. Oh man that's a lot of murkrow (range 5-20, various genders). And a honchkrow. (male, level 40, uncatchable) |

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Eggs Was Celeste scared? Yes. You wouldn't think that someone who survived the gryphon would be afraid of ordinary bird pokemon, but there had only been one gryphon. Ares clicked his beak nervously, glancing around at all the eyes, and Robyn's legs seemed to immediately turn to jelly as she shrank down. That whisper, however, made Celeste blink a little and gave her a strange feeling of confidence. Or maybe it was defiance. "Some people believe that," she replied in a similar volume, sounding much more calm than she felt. She didn't believe in omens. She didn't believe in a species being wholly evil or bad luck or anything similar. She did, however, know her facts about pokemon; even if he wasn't displaying himself with his flanking bodyguards, she'd know who was in charge, and what he was capable of doing. Honchkrow. The Summoner of Night. "Keep back. No sudden moves. Let me do the talking," Celeste said quietly, and Shilo had only barely opened her mouth in an attempt to protest this when the woman started taking slow, careful steps toward the fountain, her attention on the large blackbird. Her heart was pounding, and she tried to keep her breathing under control. Celeste got down on one knee, her head bowed in respect to the honchkrow. This was his kingdom, and his subjects who surrounded them. She would respect this, at least until she knew what kind of king he was. After a deep inhale, she started to speak, keeping her voice a mixture of calm and soft that she hoped was acceptably apologetic and submissive. "Please forgive us. We haven't been in town long. We didn't know the park was yours." Hopefully this would at least make the birds ease up enough to allow a retreat. If it didn't...she'd think of something. Celeste plays the 'please don't kill us, birdies' card. |

3 2 and 3 berriesAll of the beady little bird eyes watched them, mostly locking onto Celeste or looking at the troll. Said troll looked like she was using every fiber of her being to stay still and not reach into her pockets for something. A weapon, perhaps, even though she didn't have anything to be afraid of. It was some kind of primal fear that came from being surrounded by potentially-hostile creatures on her home planet. Then again, where she came from, things were bloodthirsty more often then not. One single murkrow cawed into the night, followed by another. The air became filled with a chorus of cawing like laughter, even while Celeste knelt. Honchkrow raised a wing, and suddenly everything was quiet. The boss-bird lowered his wing, gaze locked onto the redhead. He fluttered down to the edge of the fountain, leaning forward to get a better look. "Oi, she's fine folks. Just a cute little red-headed girl," the bird drawled with an accent (whatever kind of accent you'd expect a mobster to have), smiling a roguish smile. A few of the birds rolled their eyes; others looked like they didn't care, and still a few more fluttered to get a better seat to see. "Now what ever could a pretty little thing like you be doing out at night, huh? It's awfully dangerous at night..." The crowing laughter started again, but was silenced with a glance. In the background, the troll was frowning but quiet, thinking whatever it was that she was thinking. |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand Eggs That kind of king. Joy. At least he could speak her language. Ares tensed, his gaze turning sharp, fighting the urge to shout something along the lines of 'keep your talons off my trainer.' A very soft hiss escaped Shilo, but she also remained where she was. Robyn clicked her beak slightly as some of the birds fluttered closer, but even if she'd been allowed to get violent, she was still too frightened to do much. Celeste lifted her head, not looking at any of the birds but the honchkrow, and ventured a small smile that she hoped appeared to have some element of 'pretty? really?' Not that she was an overly talented actress, but if this guy had as big an ego as she was figuring he did, it wouldn't take perfection. "Well, there's something about a park after sunset. You could say I'm attracted to darkness." Oh, Arceus, had she really just said that? Had she really just come up with those words, let alone spoken them? Well, she supposed more laughter was better than being shredded by talons. The fact that Ares had just let his beak fall open in shock at her words probably didn't help. Robyn waved a wing in front of his face to absolutely no effect. I don't even know what she's doing. Flirting? |

3 ![]() Cotton, since they hadn't been brutally maimed yet, seemed to have slipped back into blissful ignorance as she continued being a hat. Raggy had a look on her face that very clearly said 'does not compute', and at some point she looked at the ground and mumbled, "Humans are so weird." The big bird seemed very pleased with all this, and waved his wings in a way to suggest that Celeste rise from her kneel, "Oh don't worry, love, I know what you mean," he held his wings out so he could take her hand and kiss the back of it with his beak, "My name is Giovanni. But you, beautiful creature, can call me whatever you like. Now, what's your name?" he smiled. The other birds had the sense to be quiet, but glance at each other curiously. Well, he was the boss. |

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand Eggs Celeste held back the urge to let out a relieved sigh. She didn't have any more idea what she was doing than anyone watching her did, besides not getting everyone mauled. She got up and allowed Giovanni to kiss her hand; the blush that crossed her cheeks was genuine, but it was brought on more by 'Oh Legends what have I gotten myself into' than anything. Still, everyone was alive. That was the important thing. However, she was pretty sure she knew why her future self hadn't given Raggy any details about tonight now. The brief thought to give him a false name flickered through her mind. But Celeste wasn't a liar; even what she'd said before wasn't really a lie, merely something she'd allowed Giovanni to interpret his own way. So she compromised. "It's Raven," she said with a smile. It was her middle name, and a rather ironic one given the circumstances. "Very pleased to meet you, Giovanni..." Behind her smile, Celeste was frantically pulling every cliche flirty line she had ever heard in her life that she remembered to the forefront of her mind. The shortness of the mental list was worrying. And Ares was still over there being a slack-jawed statue. At this point, even Shilo was openly staring. Robyn looked from one to the other, probably not as affected simply because she didn't know her trainer as well. Like the fact that she did not flirt with anything ever. Let alone a bird. Who was flirting back. |

3 4 and 2Middle name or not, it made Giovanni's eyes twinkle like it was Giftmas morning, "Aha. A lovely name for a perfect creature. Must be my lucky night to be graced by the presence of an angel." The funniest part here is that the bird, from all outward impressions, was completely serious about this whole thing. A couple of the birds sitting on the fountain... didn't exactly look uncomfortable, but how would you feel if your mobster boss was flirting with a member of a completely different species? It was like they weren't sure if he was serious or not, even though he obviously was. And the troll was looking at the sky above, the tips of her ears and the tops of her cheeks turning orange. Lucky for her it was dark, at least. "So, Raven, what is it about the darkness that attracts you, hm?" he wiggled his eyebrows at her, and gestured for her to sit on the fountain next to him. |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Eggs Celeste, obviously, wasn't exactly a bird, but she took the offered seat with all the grace she possibly could. Now, what was a way to sit that was alluring? She remembered that women in movies crossed one leg over the other and did so...though didn't they tend to do that when they were wearing skirts? The principle probably still applied to blue jeans. She considered shrugging off her coat, but that would expose her arm scars, and she'd rather not throw that variable into this. 'Raven' gave a smile, her bright green eyes glittering a little in the gloom. If it was a human man paying her these compliments, she'd be bright red, stammering, and possibly giggling like an idiot. As it was, she was able think clearly enough to turn her gaze, momentarily, skyward to look at the stars. "Couldn't say, really. Night falls..." She looked back at Giovanni, "...And I just find myself drawn in, unable to resist." Again, not lies, though she'd admit to exaggeration; Celeste had been finding herself increasingly nocturnal for a while now, which was why she able to so easily come out late at night looking for Raggy. Her mind was working furiously again, but now it was analyzing the honchkrow she was speaking to. Pokemon like him didn't just appear in cities. He was powerful, and pokemon as strong as him tended to be chased out, though that could be attributed to the size of his murder of murkrow, the preoccupation the people had in this city with rebuilding, and possibly the fact that they came out at night rather than when the park was populated with humans. The fact that he was evolved was more strange, since Dusk Stones didn't occur naturally in this area to her knowledge, nor did this city have a store that sold them. Coupled with his speaking ability, name, and...tastes, he likely had prolonged contact with humans beyond just living in the same area, likely having been trained at some point. Robyn finally reached over to close Ares's beak with a wing, which seemed to snap him out of it and he blinked furiously before leaning over to whisper to the black staraptor, "She's completely lost it." That was really the only explanation he could see for such un-Celeste-like behaviour. Shilo, on the other hand, was beginning to see an opportunity here. The birds were preoccupied with their leader, and he in turn with 'Raven.' The weasel pokemon took a couple of careful sidesteps toward Robyn, almost seeming to hide behind her, watching carefully to see if any of the murkrow looked her way. If she seemed thoroughly ignored, she'd slip onto the shadow plane as subtly as possible. From there...she'd figure it out, but first she had to see if she could sneak out of the park unnoticed. Shilo trying to escape with Faint Attack while Giovanni's distracted. |

3 2 and 4Somewhere in one of the trees, one of the murkrow had her face buried in her wings and was doing everything she could to not bust up laughing. None of Celeste's pokemon could see or even hear her, which was just as well because she wasn't normal murkrow color. Boy was she dying of laughter, though. Shilo was in luck, able to slip away unnoticed. The clusters of birds seemed resigned to their fate of just sitting and watching, and a lot of them looked like they were napping. Or paying rapt attention, because this was some quality entertainment here. Giovanni was certainly enjoying himself, though how much I'll leave to your imagination. He eyed the girl for a second before fluttering up to sit on her... knee. Hey, didn't want to scare her away, after all. "Aah... yes. The darkness is powerful like that, isn't it? Though, you don't exactly seem like the type," now, he fixed Celeste with a critical look, eyes glowing slightly. No matter what he was looking for, though, he relaxed and grinned again. "To what do I owe the honor of your visit tonight? Or are you just out looking for some fun?" And an update on our troll friend: she was still staring at the sky and trying to compare the stars here to the stars on her home planet and doing everything in her power to not think about lots of different things that may or may not be relevant to anything. If she had something to say, she would likely say it. But back with Shilo! The weasel-cat-thing managed to get away, but might have the feathers scared off of her when a single quiet set of wings flapped down to land next to her, "Ditching your human?" the lady murkrow looked bemused and amused, and I'll let you decide if she spoke in english or pokelanguage. She looked like the only one that had even noticed Shilo, though, and didn't seem inclined to rat her out. ![]() Level 20 *lolwhat* Edited by Steel Cerberus, Jan 17 2012, 09:36 PM.

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand Eggs Shilo tensed at the flapping of wings, a bit of a cold breeze started to blow as she whipped around to face the murkrow. One bird, she did not fear. However, at the question, spoken in cawing pokemon language, she both relaxed and pinned her ears back. The one time she would have preferred a bird fear her...Even if the murkrow was not raising an alarm, Shilo didn't trust her. Not wanting to reveal her linguistic skill, she replied in her native tongue, "And if that is my intention? What does it matter? I am not the target of your boss's...desires..." Just saying that made her brain conjure so many questions she did not want answers to. She turned away, intending to just walk away down the street. "Raven permits me to come and go as I please," she added. Shilo was about as inclined to lie as Celeste was, but she was willing to use the name, at least, to maintain the charade. However, here came the problem of what exactly she was going to do. Her first thought had been the Pokemon Centre, but Thane was hardly intimidating to a massive flock of birds, and the key to the population of the ranch was the collar around Celeste's neck...Unless...Did the woman even still have...? Maybe. But even if she did, muscle may not be the best answer. Shilo appeared to pause and rock back and forth slightly before she turned back to the murkrow, if she was even still there. "Does...he take a fondness to humans often?" she asked curiously, almost not wanting to know the answer. At the scrutinizing look, Celeste looked mildly offended. And she actually kind of was, though she also had the bit of nervousness that anyone would be expected to have when the bird perched on their knee started to make his eyes glow. Why didn't she seem like the type to like the night? Because she wasn't covered head-to-toe in goth attire? She shoved that train of thought away pretty quickly, though, both because she realized that he was probably just being cautious and because she couldn't believe that it had actually bothered her. A smirk appeared on her lips at the question, and she let out a chuckle. "Like I said, I haven't been in town long, but I already know that the humans here wouldn't know a good time if it bit them." That truth didn't even need to be twisted; she'd gotten dirty looks every time she dared step out of the Pokemon Centre into the city proper. Though she did try to imply with her tone that 'Raven' came to this conclusion regarding her own species very often. Celeste wanted to paint a picture of a spoiled person with more recklessness and strange tastes than conventional morals or common sense. Who knew if she was succeeding, but as long as Giovanni was smiling, she figured she was doing something right. She'd been intentionally avoiding looking at Raggy and her pokemon for more than just appearing fixated on the honchkrow; she really didn't want to see the troll's face, especially since she knew from their last meeting that she didn't know that many humans. |

3 ![]() "Hey, I don't care. I'm happy I was able to sneak away from that lot too. Bunch of weirdos," she preened some feathers on her wing, and looked back at Shilo. She bird-walked after the fellow dark-type, fluttering to keep up with Shilo's longer strides. She seemed perfectly alright with the silence, and glanced over her shoulder once before Shilo got her attention again, "No idea. I'm not normally part of that murder. I don't actually belong to any group; they kind of swept me up just before we saw you guys. No idea where they came from, they're not local. The big guy gives me the damn creeps, though, with the way his eyes glow like that," she shivered. Welp. That seemed to be exactly the sort of thing the bird was waiting for. At least, his smile turned from playful flirting to something that may or may not startle our little red-headed friend. "Well, if you're interested," he hopped a little closer, "I could definitely show you a fun time." At this point, Celeste might hear the 'pfffthahahaha,' barely-controlled laughter coming from a nearby tree. The few visible murkrow frowned and turned to look into the dark branches, but whatever was making the sound wasn't visible. Giovanni got a dark, sour look on his face, and glared at the tree. The giggling subsided to silence, though he was still giving the tree such a look and mumbled something to himself. But when he turned his attention back onto Celeste, he was all smirks again. "I can make everyone go away, if you'd like..." he looked at Raggy and Celeste's other pokemon as he said this, then around at the rest of the birds. Edited by Steel Cerberus, Jan 17 2012, 09:56 PM.

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Eggs At the words 'eyes glow,' Shilo suddenly froze in place, feather-ear sitting bolt upright. There was only one thing she associated with glowing eyes. She stared at the murkrow for a moment, mentally debating with herself, until she finally seemed to start breathing again. "When do his eyes glow?" she asked, not even giving the bird a chance to form a reply before she continued with, "There are a number of unnatural talents pokemon can learn with the help of a human. Including psychic abilities." Celeste's own clefairy was such a pokemon, and dark types having the potential for such was certainly not strange. Her own species could harness a few techniques, even if she'd never learned them herself, and some could do much more. She was hardly the walking pokedex Celeste was, so she didn't know if a honchkrow was one of those species who could use more powerful psychic talents, but she could easily bet that Giovanni had the human exposure to learn them if it was possible. Such powers were useless regarding his own species, and Shilo herself. But Celeste was not a dark type. And neither were the others Shilo had left behind. And if he knew one unnatural move, he may know more. 'May or may not startle?' Yeah, right. Try 'would have made her fall off the fountain if the laughter hadn't happened when it did.' Too good an actress! Too good an actress! How would that even--Don't think about it for the love of Arceus! For once in your life, woman, don't! Celeste's eyes flicked in the direction of Raggy and her own pokemon for a brief moment as Giovanni was preoccupied glaring, hoping desperately she got the 'help me' look across to at least one of them. Her composure was back by the time he looked back to her, a smirk back in place even as her brain was tying itself in knots trying to figure out how to get out of this. Make everyone go away. That meant no more hovering cloud of death in the form of a murder of murkrow and Raggy and the pokemon being able to get away from the park. That was a good thing. She should definitely ask him to do that. Wait, 'if she'd like?' If she were after that, why wouldn't--No! No thinking. She needed to not mentally scar herself right now. 'Raven' chuckled a little. "Hmm...If you don't mind." She turned her attention to the troll and birds, as if she'd forgotten they were there. "I think that's your cue to take off," she said, making a lazy shooing motion at them, "I'll catch up with you later..." She looked back at Giovanni and shifted her shoulders in way that made her coat slip down a bit, not enough to show any skin, but enough to be noticeable. Ares stood stone still, and, if looks could kill, Giovanni would have died before he knew what was happening. He had caught that subtle glance, and even if he hadn't, like hell he was going to let his trainer actually go through with this. He briefly scraped the talons of one foot against the ground, as if he were going to charge like a tauros, until Robyn was suddenly shoving him and making frantic shooing motions with her wings. "You heard her, metal feathers! Let's get out of here before I see more of this crazy chick than I ever wanted to." He stumbled back and sputtered a little in surprise. "B-but--" Robyn huffed and took off with a noisy flapping of wings. "You want to piss off Raven and her new 'friend?' Leave me out of it." Ares blinked, then, realizing what the staraptor had just said, grumbled something and joined her. But they weren't going far. They were going to save their trainer from her own charm. With or without backup. "And then 'wooooosh!' Andromeda makes this big fire tornado and traps the monster!" Thane waved around his arms for emphasis, much to the amusement of his fuzzy audience, who wagged his tail and yipped, a moment before he gave a small yawn. The riolu had been trying his best to entertain his new 'brother' until Celeste came back from her nighttime flight, since neither of them could sleep. Though, it seemed like the eevee pup was finally getting tired, which was good because he was starting to wear himself out, too. CRACKCRACKRACK! And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what happens when you tempt fate. Thane briefly got an 'oh crap' look on his face as all three other eggs simultaneously started hatching, then he leaped off the bed to frantically gather up every scrap of clothing he'd managed to throw on the floor in his other mad scramble previous. The eevee pup crept up to one of the eggs, sniffing at it curiously, right before a little grey paw broke through the shell, followed by another. Then both paws withdrew and the side of the egg seemed to simply explode, showering the cream puppy with bits of eggshell and making him scramble back as another eevee flopped onto the blankets. Thane quickly grabbed the first garment his paw landed on from his pile of gathered clothing...only to briefly stare at the thing he was holding, which he didn't know was called a 'bra', before he tossed it away in favour of Celeste's red turtleneck. "There! All dried off," he proclaimed proudly. The second eevee pup, this one a female with oddly non-sparkly silver fur and black around her neck and tipping her tail, blinked and looked around, until the male pup wandered over and pawed at her. The feeling of triumph was short-lived. More cracking sounds came from the two other eggs as a white blade jutted out of one and the other's resident simply decided to headbutt their way out, resulting in a brown, reptillian face with stubby ears blinking at Thane from a hole in the shell. Soon enough, a pure white absol pup and a little brown-and-orange bulbasaur had emerged fully from the eggs, and Thane quickly went to work drying them off as well; the absol just sat there sedately and looked around the room, while the bulbasaur giggled and wriggled at the ticklish fabric until she was dry enough. The baby bulbasaur waddled over to the baby absol and nudged him with her head, causing the little disaster pokemon to blink his blue eyes and lean over to sniff at her. Thane, smiling to himself at another successful bit of big brother-ing, turned his attention back to the pair of eevee, only to see the male curled up, finally sleeping, and no female in sight. That was when the riolu suddenly felt a pair of paws slam into his shoulders and he faceplanted into the blanket. The silver and black puppy sitting on his back wagged her tail and burst out in yipping giggles. for new babies?

3 2, and 4 and the babies can each have 3"Just now..." she scratched her lower beak-jaw as she thought about it, "And when they all appeared out of the dark and I got caught up. He gave me this glowing, red-eyed look and I felt like if I tried to get away they'd rip my feathers out or something," she frowned. "I don't even think he is a pokemon, really. Never met another pokemon that freaked me out that much." Celeste, how are you going to get out of this hole you've dug. The troll just so happened to have looked down when Celeste looked at them, and despite the fact that she was blushing orange, she gave a tiny little nod. And the honchkrow looked like Giftmas had come early. While Celeste was shoo-ing away her own pokemon and the troll, he swept a wing at the murder of birds around them. They all took off simultaneously, disappearing into the darkness. Raggy blinked at the two birds as they argued, and lept into the air after Ares. When it was seemingly just them, the tree from earlier rustled and a gold-and-silver murkrow flew out of it like a bullet and landed next to Celeste and Giovanni. She gave the big bird a look and squawked something at him that I'm not going to translate since nobody present can understand it anyways. Giovanni glared at her, and squawked something back. This went on, back and fourth, for a few seconds. It ended when the gold and silver bird gave Celeste a skeptical look with her blue eyes, and flew away. "Finally. Now... where were we?" With the troll and the two birds, Raggy reached into her pocket once they were wherever they were going, "I, um, have a manectric. I actually came back in time and warned myself to bring her with me... now I know why," she looked at the birds to see what they thought, and if they had landed, she would bring the thunder hound out. The dog yawned widely, blinking sleep out of her eyes. Edited by Steel Cerberus, Jan 19 2012, 08:51 AM.

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand Shilo took in this information with an increasing amount of anxiety. Not a pokemon. She looked down the path in the direction she'd come from, her eyes narrowing sharply. "I have seen things that are not human or pokemon. Our friend, the horned woman, is the rare one who is not dangerous." The fact that he was apparently threatening murkrow into his service said clearly what category Giovanni occupied. She didn't even realize her claws had extended for a moment until she caught sight of them and retracted them. She eyed the female murkrow contemplatively for a brief second, then decided that she needed every ally she could get. "My human's true name is Celeste. She has been telling him what he wishes to hear to avoid violence. But if he really is some kind of monster..." Despite herself, Shilo couldn't quite hold back a small shudder. "I need to get the others. What is the fastest route to the Pokemon Centre from here?" No more murkrow. Others out of danger. Good. Except for that one. Celeste blinked at the strangely-coloured murkrow curiously when she landed, then feigned a somewhat bored expression, letting her coat slip down just a hint more. However, she did meet the look the bird gave her, and she wasn't exactly sure how she was supposed to feel about it. Then Giovanni was talking to her again. The little chuckle she let out was probably some sort of defense mechanism by this point, because she was silently praying that something would leap out of the bushes right now and distract him further. She was never using her feminine charms on anyone ever again. "I think I remember..." she said, slipping her coat off completely and letting it fall at the base of the fountain. And now she was hoping that the honchkrow was turned off by scars, as the pair was crossed in an X-shape on her arm were visible, and she took the opportunity to pause and frown at them, both to deliberately draw attention to them and imply they bothered her. As for the birds, they pretended to fly toward the exit of the park, then, once they were out of sight, swung around to try to find a patch of trees both without any murkrow and a distance just far enough from Celeste and Giovanni that they wouldn't be able to see or hear them. At Raggy's words, both birds of prey looked at each other, nodded, and swooped down once they found a suitable place to land. Ares gave the manectric a bit of a wide berth. Him and dogs who could electrify their fangs didn't really mix. Robyn, on the other hand, cautiously approached and examined her. "I don't think Celeste wants us to outright fry the turkey, even if he is an asshole," she commented, even though she knew all Raggy would hear were chirps. Ares ground the teeth in his beak with a faint sound of scraping metal. "I'd like to see him fried. After I pluck him." Robyn shot a him an odd look, opened her beak to say something, then shut it and shook her head. "Hey, don't get me wrong. We could take him, but ain't Celeste some kind of pacifist?" Ares clicked his beak and didn't answer. "A good zap to seize up his muscles and shut him up so she can't fly or call his pals would be good, though." Something else occurred to the staraptor, and she hopped over to Raggy to chirp at her swablu hat. "Hey, Cotton. How are you at singing lullabies? 'Cause I think our friend with the fancy hat back there could use one." She'd been humming the whole time since they'd met up this time, so her having some kind of singing ability was a fair bet from Robyn's point of view. It was some sort of plan, at least. Too bad the strategist was their current damsel in distress. |

3 ![]() The lady crow scratched the back of her head with the 'wrist' of her wing, looking back the way they came as well. The other birds seemed to have melted back into the dark night. She tiiiiilted her head at Shilo, but at the mention of the center she bobbed her head and opened her wings, "I can obviously go faster because I can fly, but if you think you can keep up, I can show you the way." And if Shilo was up for it, she flapped up into the sky and headed off as the crow flies. Hurr. At this point, Celeste might realize that Giovanni was one hard to phase bird. Yeah, he was watching and everything, but when his attention was pulled to the scars his expression only softened. Using a flight feather like a finger, he traced one of the scars gently with the tip of it, "You've been though a lot, haven't you love? Might explain why you're not very afraid of me..." Luckily he didn't do anything else... quite yet, anyways. Didn't seem deterred, at any rate. The blue and gold dog finally noticed the two birds and looked at them. She smiled a doggy smile and looked like she was about to bark, but Raggy quickly put her hands over the dog's mouth, "Shuuush, Kay, we're trying to be quiet. Can you be quiet for me?" she took her hands off, and the dog had her jaws locked shut and nodded eagerly. She could zap things! She was good at that!!! Cotton continued to be in blissful ignorance for a second after Robyn spoke. Even when she finally did talk, it was so abrupt and she didn't even bother opening her eyes, "I love to sing," she said serenely, still kind of wavering back and fourth. She finally opened her eyes to blink at Robyn, "I'm reaaaally good at it too. We're trying to get the dark one away from your human, right? Kay is really fast." Kay nodded eagerly again in response. Fast! Yes!!! She loved fast! |

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand Shilo nodded. "Speed is not a problem." Her species were equipped to strike lightning fast, with deadly precision, but also to relentlessly pursue prey if they survived the first attack. She could keep up with anything if she was determined enough to. When the bird took off, Shilo raced after her, increasing her speed and leaping in and out of shadow whenever required. That reaction...genuinely surprised Celeste. Not his lack of being fazed, really, but the bit of softness. She sighed a little. "Yeah, a few things," she admitted, a little bit of herself peeking through the 'Raven' persona briefly before she went back to the act with a small smile. "Like you said, it's pretty dangerous at night. If it's not trying to give me more of these, I'm probably not going to freak out about much." She toyed lightly with her ponytail before pulling the elastic out and letting her hair fall freely. Then her hand moved to her collar, and she paused there a moment, too, pretending to have a little trouble undoing it, before it opened with a faint click and she pulled the metal contraption away from her neck to show the black scale-pattern tattoo. Nothing quite said 'fearless' like the implication that you let someone tattoo your throat, given that the non-magical variety involved needles. She lightly rubbed her inked throat briefly, carefully setting her Control Hub aside. "Other humans can be far too jumpy..." Robyn smiled, looking from Cotton to Kay. Ares, deciding that the dog was okay enough, walked over. "He doesn't know about you," he said to her, "So if you go in first, he won't think it's us." Boy would he love to sink his talons into that big fat blackbird himself, but there was the fact that he was right next to their very squishy trainer, and if this went screwy, Ares didn't want her getting hurt. Robyn nodded. "Right. See if you can get that big honchkrow away from our human and then give him a zapping before he calls his murkrow buddies." She briefly stretched her wings and folded them again. "Then us cavalry can race in and get her out of there." Ares thought for a second and clicked his beak. "She'll probably pretend to be upset you're there. Trust us, she won't really be." |

3 4 and 4The black bird tore through the sky as fast as she could, skimming over buildings and ducking around trees and light poles. She tucked her wings in and dove to land on the front mat of the pokemon center, her movement making the door slide open. More out of curiosity then anything else, the bird followed Shilo wherever she was going. Giovanni was quiet and just continued to smile as he traced her scars while he was able to. He glanced at her again as she took off her Control Hub, his eyes flickering bright again for a moment. "Humans are far too jumpy. They're also extremely good at jumping to conclusions about things they do not understand. Assuming they're bad. Though it doesn't surprise me." He waved his wing dismissively with a smirk, "But you're not like that, are you? Someone who's fought Neeruey and the Gryphon isn't afraid of anything. Or... are you afraid," he smirked at her, eyes glowing, "Celeste?" Kay continued nodding eagerly at the plan unfolding around her, her head didn't stop bobbing up and down. Like a good dog, she stayed completely quiet while doing it. Cotton was paying attention too, and their troll friend looked lost. When Ares and Robyn were done, Kay looked up at Raggy for confirmation, "Whatever they told you, do it. Just be cautious." The dog brightened, and turned to creep away, low to the ground. Raggy moved to follow, dinofeet staying extremely quiet on the ground, with Cotton still on her head. She kept a hand in her pocket, likely on a weapon that she didn't want to pull out quite yet. |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Shilo was a bit winded from the run, but she tried her best not to show it, walking through the lobby and down the hall to the trainers' rooms with her murkrow companion in tow. She didn't say a word until she reached Celeste's door, which she remembered was locked. "Thane!" she called, rapping her claws on the door, "Celeste is in danger!" She had to hop back as the door swung open and a terrified riolu leaped out. "What happened? Where is she?" The pup whimpered, and Shilo simply hurried into the room. "Ares and Robyn are with her, but she needs more than them." She paused, staring up at the multi-coloured pile of mostly-fluff laying on the bed, bits of eggshell and pieces of clothing scattered on the floor around it. Without even waiting for an explanation, she shook her head and scampered over to Celeste's pack, adding to the mess in her search. Thane shifted his weight from paw to paw in concern, then seemed to finally notice the murkrow and blinked at her, a stick with a red bow on it flying past him as Shilo looked for whatever it was she needed. "Hello." Finally, she emerged, holding a bright pink Poketech. Celeste had gotten the thing for Giftmas, but had obviously never used it since she had her Control Hub. But it should still be registered to her and able to access her storage system. Shilo quickly hurried back to the lobby, Thane only giving a quick glance to the pile of sleepy babies before following her. The sneasel activated the 'Tech and hooked it up to the PC, metaphorically crossing her fingers that it would work. If Giovanni was something more powerful than a pokemon, then they'd need some serious muscle. Luckily, the Ranch had serious muscle. Like a freaking huge dragon. "Thane, forgive me, but you will have to be recalled if this works." Celeste froze in place in what might have looked like fear at the mention of the HM guardians, but as Giovanni went on, a small smirk began twitching at her lips. Truth be told, she was afraid of him, and with good reason. If he was going to try to finish what Neeruey and the Gryphon started, there wasn't really anything she could do to stop him. But the fact that she was alone, and her friends were out of danger, also gave her a certain amount of courage. The only one who could be potentially hurt here was her. "Why would I be, when I already know honchkrow can learn Psychic?" she said with slightly more calmness than she really felt. After all, she'd wanted a murkrow; she knew every move they or their evolution could learn. She added with an even more pronounced smirk, "Are you trying to scare me, or just showing off?" Ares and Robyn were right behind Raggy, both of them trying their best not to make a sound. Ares had to move a bit slower to achieve this, but he took longer steps to compensate. Neither would take to the air until Kay had successfully incapacitated Giovanni. Or to help protect her if things went wrong. Shilo is using the extra poketech Celeste received for Giftmas in 2010 to try to access her PC and swap Thane for Vex. Edited by Vulpix Windchimes, Jan 19 2012, 08:31 PM.

3 3 berries eachThe lady crow squawked and leapt out of the way of the door opening, her feathers sticking out so she looked like a softball. She flattened her feathers and hopped after, looking around the room. When stuff started flying, she ducked low and watched with big eyes. "Hello," she looked at Thane, then again at Shilo as she darted past. Not wanting to be left alone, she hopped after. "Oh, this," she said when she saw Shilo hook the thing up, and it booted right up. She watched as the system loaded and let Shilo do whatever it was that she wanted to do. Giovanni seemed almost impressed with Celeste, raising an eyebrow and smirking. He waved a wing for her to lean over, and leaned up really close to her face. "Can it be both?" And then a manectric happened. Kay sped out of the trees like a speeding bullet, headbutting the bird away and delivering a little snap of electricity. She landed on the fountain next to Celeste, panting and looking highly pleased with herself. The dog barked a few times, tail wagging, and she likely would have started covering Celeste in doggy kisses if the situation wasn't so serious. As it was, Cotton launched herself off of Raggy's head and towards them too, singing a sleepy tune. Giovanni had taken a tumble, but launched back into the air with his eyes solid red and his black edges bleeding into the darkness. His gaze snapped from the manectric, up to the swablu, and then at Celeste. He didn't even wait to be blindsighted by the other birds; he simply flapped his wings and phased out into a shadow. The troll stomped out, a scythe in each hand, but stopped and looked around at the Lack Of Honchkrow. "...huh. That was anticlimactic." |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand Shilo had obviously never needed to do this before, but she'd been a trained pokemon her whole life, and the Black Tesla's systems were pretty user friendly. Thane reluctantly trotted off and returned with his pokeball, which he allowed himself to be recalled into. Shilo made the switch as quickly as possible, and an identical pokeball dropped into her claws. Shilo looked to the murkrow. "This holds Vex. She is one of the original pokemon kept by the army who once attacked this city. Celeste saved her from the madness the invaders infected her with." She unhooked the Poketech and turned toward the door. "She is the strongest we have." Her feather-ear twitched suddenly and she looked down the hall, then at the murkrow. "I thank you for your help, honourable stranger," she said, facing the dark bird properly to give the bow she'd neglected when they first met due to her distrust. "You will be safer if you remain here. The infants in the room should remain asleep, and I believe there is food stored somewhere." When the manectric burst out of nowhere, Celeste jumped at having Giovanni knocked away and stared at the big dog in shock. She did not feel any better at seeing Cotton, and felt significantly worse when the honchkrow vanished. She got up quickly, grabbing her Control Hub and effortlessly snapping it into place, as Raggy came racing out. Ares and Robyn swooped out of hiding a second later, and they too were surprised by the lack of a target. Celeste cringed at the troll's comment, and would have slapped a hand over her mouth if there wasn't for the fact that she was carrying a bladed weapon in each hand. "Shhhh. Don't say that." If there was a fate to tempt, that would surely do it. "He's a dark type. He can move through shadows." She grabbed her coat, but didn't bother putting it on as she moved to Raggy's side and scanned the area with her eyes. "And now he's pissed." Ares gently nudged her shoulder. "He didn't hurt you, did he?" the metal bird squawked. She patted his beak almost automatically, even though she obviously couldn't understand him. "I'm okay. For now." She pulled herself onto his back. "Let's get out of here." Celeste wasn't about to give Giovanni a fight where he had a home field advantage. If he wanted to come after her, she was going to lead him on a hell of a chase. |

3 ![]() The honchkrow's eyes bugged out when Shilo explained where Vex came from, and the bird actually took an automatic step back, "Wait, one of the exact same ones?" she couldn't really be blamed for thinking that way, if she was a native. Anybody in Escennia sees Vex, they're likely to flip their lid. She too looked back at the room, then back at Shilo after some consideration, "Yeah, I doubt that they'd be stupid enough to try anything to this place. I'll be as quiet as I can," she fluttered back towards the room, pushing the door as shut as she could before squeezing inside the room and looking around at all the mess. Cotton landed on the fountain and looked around, but the night was dreadfully quiet. Kay sat down and tilted her head to listen to the silence. The troll frowned, listening too but she seemed to be hearing something different. She looked at Celeste, turning a little towards her to make sure she was alright. Suddenly, the troll paused and looked straight up... but again, there was literally nothing there. I'm not even being mysterious, there was really nothing there. But, she frowned and put her scythes away; they turned into a card that she stuffed in her pocket. "I think he's really gone. But, yes, let's go back to the Center," she looked at Kay and Cotton, gesturing with a twitch of her head for them to follow. The manectric jumped off of the fountain edge and trotted between them, sniffing Celeste's fingers and hand. Cotton took up residence as Raggy's hat again; the pair seemed relaxed, if only because their trainer seemed to have immediately relaxed. As they were leaving, the troll slowly turned orange again and finally broke whatever silence there might have been, "Is... was that normal? For a human to display..." she fought with the right wording, "...that sort of thing towards a non-human?" There's actually a really good reason she's asking this, but unfortunately Celeste won't get it until the next time they meet, if she gets it at all. Either way, what a question. 3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll The room was just that, a complete mess. Even without the aftermath of the babies hatching and Shilo's mad scramble for the Poketech, Celeste did tend toward just putting things wherever. A few books were scattered here and there, a hairbrush sitting on the dresser, a lot of stuffed toys, and three little baby pokemon curled up on the bed. Yes, three. Because baby number four was under the bed, hiding in the shadow and looking at what she had already decided was her new feathery playmate. A tiny giggle emanated from a gap between two piles of clothes as the baby eevee ninja failed to contain her excitement, right before she came leaping out with an excited, "Vee!" What a question indeed. Celeste still remained a bit tense for a while, her gaze flicking to the shadows. Call it paranoia brought on by her more limited senses and knowledge of what Giovanni could be capable of. She eventually relaxed enough to give the manectric sniffing her a bit of gentle petting and a smile. Then Raggy broke the silence, and Celeste promptly turned a vibrant shade of red. "Uh...well, I, uh..." she stammered, finally weakly letting out, "...Yes and no? It depends." She took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, trying to collect her thoughts. Anyone else, and she'd probably take the question as some kind of jab, but she realized that this was a serious question, and she really did want to answer it to the best of her ability. "Sorry. You really can ask me anything you want about humans. It's just hard to explain. Anything that a human thinks is equivalent to another human...could get that reaction. That can mean a similar appearance, or just an ability to communicate and similar range of emotions." She rubbed her neck, her blush deepening further. "But pokemon...I mean, there are obviously exceptions...but with how we usually relate to them, it's not really...They usually don't find humans appealing for their own reasons, anyway." Celeste sighed and shook her head. "What I'm trying to say is, yes, it's normal. You can look at modern fiction and even folklore and see reference to the idea. But, because most people here are either humans or pokemon, and they have specific reasons for not...You don't see it too often." She breathed out something that could generously be called a very uncomfortable laugh as she added, "Did that make any sense?" |

3 3 and 3 The murkrow was inspecting some socks, wondering how many she would have to get to make a decent nest, when the little eevee hopped out of nowhere. She shot straight up like a feathery missile to hover in the middle of the room and look down. The bird blinked at the fluffy dog, and flapped over to land on the dresser now, eyeing the pup. "Hello." A few pets was well more then enough for Kay to have Best Friend #2. Dogs are wonderful. The troll looked genuinely interested in Celeste's rambling, nodding a little occasionally. At the end, she frowned and looked down, troubled by something perhaps. Raggy looked back at Celeste with a tiny, almost sad smile, "It does. From what I've understood, humans are uncomfortable about a lot of things relating to that... I think I understand what you mean. Just because nobody sees it, doesn't mean that it doesn't happen." The answer was good enough for her, at any rate. She rubbed at her cheeks to get some of her own blush to fade, and decided that it was a good idea to distract Celeste so maybe she wouldn't be so uncomfortable. "Such a thing would be almost unheard of on Alternia, because the beasts are mostly all vicious and extremely dangerous to young trolls. Adults haven't lived on the planet for hundreds of sweeps. However," she got an odd note of something that might have been pride in her voice, "There have been tales of adult trolls taming and befriending the beasts long ago... but," here she hesitated and drooped slightly, "They're just legends." |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand The silver and black eevee stared up in fascination when her new playmate flew up, and at the greeting she sat down and barked a happy, wordless, "Vee!" with her tail wagging furiously. "Bulba?" "Sol?" The little bulbasaur blinked sleep from her eyes and looked over to notice new thing! With an enthusiastic chirp, the grass type waddled right off the side of the bed and landed with a dull fwump in a pile of clothes, which she shook off and then kept right on waddling to sit next to the puppy and stare up too. The white absol watched this calmly, then got up onto his too-large puppy paws and hopped down a bit more gracefully to join the bulbasaur. The other eevee was still fast asleep, but now the wild murkrow had three sets of curious, infant eyes locked right on her. When Raggy looked down, Celeste opened her mouth to say something, but in the end she didn't know what she could say. If only her friend understood that it wasn't really the interspecies aspect that was making her so extremely uncomfortable. Well, okay, yeah, the fact that she'd just been flirting with a honchkrow did add to her embarrassment, but the woman would be just as weird and rambling if she'd been asked about interactions between humans. The fact that the particular question didn't have a straightforward answer just meant she was rambling longer. Celeste let the subject shift without any resistance, trying to fight down her own blush a bit. However, as Raggy went on, she became both fascinated and a bit concerned. At the last words, she found herself reaching to the back of her neck and undoing her Control Hub without really thinking about it. "I've nearly been killed twice by things that are supposed to be just legends," she pointed out, letting Raggy see her throat tattoo. "And you can't know for sure that it wasn't at least partly true, since you weren't there, right?" However, a different part of what Raggy had said was bothering her, and the main source after 'vicious and extremely dangerous' that was fueling her concern. She found herself remembering, back in Murmur Valley, when the troll was staring into the ice and had noted that her irises were changing colour...a sign of maturity. Celeste had been side-tracked at the time by the concept of different blood colours, then by her own squeamishness, then a buizel, and so on. She suddenly found herself giving Raggy a studying look, and she carefully asked, "I'm...sorry if this is a, um, really personal question but...how old are you?" |

3 ![]() The crow hunkered down and peered at them, not sure what to think. On one hand predators, but on the other hand, cute little babies. She stretched her neck out to get a better look, but otherwise didn't know what to do. She'd never been around children before. At some point, Celeste might understand what's up with the troll. The edge of her mouth that had her single tusk on it twitched slightly in something that may have been a smile at the mention of her not being there. She didn't say anything about it right away, though, instead leaning in to look at the tattoo, "I know. But... my morai-" she stopped, closed her mouth, and started again, "Another troll that's very important to me believed that certain important trolls in history are our ancestors. She believed that one of the beast whispers was mine. I'm still not sure if I believe it, though..." It took the troll a second to notice the look, and she actually wilted under it a bit, wondering what she was doing wrong. The question made her say 'oh' quietly and straighten up, "Roughly nine sweeps," she smiled, waiting for the inevitable stare before explaining, "An Alternial solar sweep is about two-point-two earth-human-years. So I'm about eighteen-nineteen in human years. Why?" |

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand Staaaaaaare. The silver puppy was getting bored. She blinked a little, looking at the dresser, then the bird on top of it. She repeated the motion, then cocked her head to one side as the gears started turning. She took a couple of steps backward... Zip-thump-zip! She became a blur of grey and black in a sudden burst of speed, leaping toward the middle of the dresser, where she bounced off and propelled herself the rest of the way up. She perched on the top of the dresser, fur slightly ruffled and looking extremely proud of herself. "Vee!" The bulbasaur's eyes widened and she waddled forward as fast as her stubby legs could carry her until her face met the dresser. She gave a few hops that barely got her off the ground and then flopped down and pouted. The absol just continued to watch sedately with those big blue eyes of his. About eighteen-nineteen. Not a kid. Celeste relaxed a little, and rubbed the back of her now-bare neck. "Something you said the last time I saw you made me wonder, but I didn't really get the chance to ask. That's all." She smiled, adding, "I'm twenty." Only fair to share her own age, right? Though actually saying that made her think; she'd really been at this two years. Celeste didn't really make a fuss over birthdays, so she rarely really considered it. Ares came up beside his trainer and gave her a nudge, and she patted his beak a bit. "I...I have to admit that it's a little hard for me to wrap my head around a world with beasts like you described. I mean, I've had things after me that fit the description, but, like I said, they're rare and most people don't even believe they exist." She looked at the metal bird next to her. "I guess I take for granted how easy pokemon are to befriend." Ares probably could have killed her when she jumped on his back when they met. The thought was disturbing. And that was when she caught sight of a flash of movement that turned out to be a familiar shape leaping out of shadow with a pokeball in her claws. "Celeste!" The woman blinked. "Shilo?" She knelt down to the sneasel's level. "Are you okay?" It was Shilo's turn to blink. "I was intending to ask you the same. Where is Giovanni? He didn't...do anything to you, did he?" Celeste's cheeks reddened briefly. She knew what Shilo meant, but in context...She shook her head a little. "I'm okay. Everyone's okay...Who's pokeball is that?" Shilo, after quickly glancing around the area just in case, held out the sphere for her human friend to take. "Vex. I found your extra Poketech and accessed the ranch. I believed she may be necessary." Celeste stood back up and stared at the pokeball as if it were radioactive. "Vex?" she repeated. While the sneasel still didn't see what made this a bad idea, due to her own beliefs surrounding the war, Celeste definitely did, and she clipped the pokeball to her belt with more care than she normally would. A slightly delayed, "...While we're in Escennia?" escaped her, and Shilo flattened her feather-ear slightly without saying anything in return. |

3 2, 4Her eyes widened and she hopped away a little from the eevee, staring with a bewildered expression. She knew of eevee's, but had never actually seen one for herself. "You're pretty fast for a furball." Raggy blinked at Celeste, and since she was still kind of close to peer at the tattoo, the human girl might notice something. Before, Raggy's irises were completely bright orange; now, they were only barely pale-orange and mostly dark gray. "Oh. Well, feel free to ask anything you'd like," she chuckled. She smiled at the mention of the pokemon, and gently scritched Kay while the manectric panted and wagged her tail madly, "The most dangerous things came out during the day anyways. But, yes, most things on Alternia wanted to murder and eat you," she shrugged, "But, that's life. I was lucky I lived as long as I did, since my custodian kept falling apart," so far, all the talk about potentially being maimed and killed didn't seem to bother her in the slightest, but she wilted slightly at the mention of her custodian. Cotton, Kay, and Raggy looked at Shilo when she appeared. The dog quivered, staring at the cat-thing but not otherwise doing anything... yet. Raggy looked like she half-understood what Celeste was bent out of shape about, and ran a hand over her horn with a frown. Edited by Steel Cerberus, Jan 21 2012, 10:24 PM.

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll The eevee smiled and nodded enthusiastically, wagging her tail. "Fast!" she repeated in a yip, before bounding toward the murkrow in an attempt to get close enough to snuggle up. Those feathers looked soft and cuddly. The absol cocked his head slowly to one side, then got up and moved over to the pouting bulbasaur. He got up on his hind legs a bit awkwardly to put his front paws on the side of the dresser; he was a bit bigger than the other babies by virtue of his species, but still a tiny thing and not nearly tall enough to get close to the top. He still stretched out his neck and sniffed the air curiously. The bulbasaur saw this and attempted to copy him, but just ended up toppling over with a surprised chirping sound. She rapidly righted herself and glared at her own stubby legs. When Celeste looked at Raggy and noticed the frown, she realized how this may come across and hastily explained, "Vex is my haxorus. She's actually pretty friendly...just really big and powerful. And she has a...history with this city from before I caught her. Otherwise, I'd let her out to say hello." She'd rather not elaborate on the nature of that history, though with her species revealed Celeste wouldn't be too surprised if Raggy guessed. Shilo looked like she was going to say something, but that was when she noticed Kay. She looked momentarily confused at how she was being stared at, then she simply gave one of her respectful bows to the canine in greeting. Someone has never been quite made aware of the whole dogs-chasing-cats thing. Celeste found herself mulling over what Raggy had said. The nonchalance about death would have disturbed her if she wasn't already aware of it thanks to their previous meeting that the other woman had yet to experience. The concept of a world where everything wanted to kill you was strange and frightening enough, but it was how she'd spoken about adults that was getting to Celeste the most. She almost didn't want to say anything, given the way Raggy had drooped, but she found herself biting her lip slightly before asking hesitantly, "A 'custodian' was what...looked after you? Since there weren't any adults?" She realized that she probably should have said 'who,' but the reference to 'falling apart' had made her think of something inorganic...which could also be a 'who,' technically. Celeste did have a beldum, after all. |

3 4 and 2The lady-crow looked like she was fighting every instinct to not fly away as the furball headed for her, not that the eevee would likely even notice this. Cautiously, she reached up with her wing like an arm and patted the fluffball trying to cuddle with her. Birds did not cuddle very well. "I kind of know the story. I know enough, anyways. A lot of the humans in this town have treated me like I was part of that..." she rubbed the curve of her horn again, looking at the ground, "I was actually planning on leaving after I caught up with you. I don't like this city." Kay's eyes widened, and she went completely tense at the bow. She didn't understand what it meant, and therefore didn't know what to think of it. While looking down, Raggy noticed the dog's antics and tapped her on the head, "No chasing Shilo." Kay drooped. "Yes," she looked up only once she was sure that Kay wasn't going to follow her instincts, "Every young troll gets one after surviving the trials in the underground caverns. They're called... well, a lusus. Though my lusus didn't look much like Lu. Aside from the horns," she pulled out a card from her pocket that turned into a shorter, plain scythe, and started to scratch something in the dirt nearby. Celeste didn't know what a bighorn sheep looked like, but now she would know what the skeleton of one would look like, vaguely. 'cuz that's what Raggy's lusus looked like. "I haven't really found a pokemon that looks similar yet," she leaned on the scythe and looked down fondly at her crude drawing, "She may not have been the best lusus, but I still miss her terribly." 3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand The eevee didn't seem to really care that birds weren't good cuddlers. Her tail never stopped wagging, and she tried to give the blackbird a little, affectionate slurp. She had officially found her best friend. The bulbasaur let out a long, frustrated whine. She wanted cuddles too, darnit! The absol put his front paws back on the ground and gently nudged her with his nose, letting out a very soft woof. She turned and the two stood quietly, forehead-to-forehead, for a few moments, before the baby bulbsaur withdrew her head to instead just cuddle up to her white, fluffy 'sibling.' Celeste frowned when Raggy said how people had been treating her. "They treat most people like that," she said quietly, rubbing her scarred arm with her other hand idly. She'd wondered if flashing her medal would make them back off the dirty looks, but in the end she'd decided against it. Celeste didn't want to even pretend to take pride in fighting a war; the Elite were the 'heroes,' anyway, so it was unlikely to work. "I'll probably be out of here by tomorrow night." Shilo gave a slow, confused blink at the manectric's reaction and Raggy's words, but she made no comment for the moment. Celeste tried to not visibly flinch at the idea of the trials, and there were a number of questions on her tongue that she knew she didn't want the answers to. She tilted her head slightly at the drawing in the dirt; there definitely wasn't a pokemon that looked like that, at least not here. The closest thing that came to mind was that the picture sort of looked like a houndoom crossed with a mareep. Only skeletal. Shilo's feather-ear drooped very slightly as she, too, looked at the picture, red eyes not blinking. The concept of a youth with no parents being placed into the care of a different creature entirely struck far too close to home, as did a permanent separation. Celeste noticed after a moment and knelt down, carefully placing her hand on the sneasel's shoulder. Shilo looked up, and the two shared a look before the human calmly withdrew with a small smile and stood up again. Acting as if the little moment had not happened, Celeste found herself clipping her Control Hub back into place around her neck. "I'm not sure if there's a species that looks exactly like that, but some individuals can be pretty unique." Robyn gave a chirp and puffed up a little, since she was one of said unique pokemon. Most of the others Celeste knew of belonged to Steely. Shilo found her curious eyes on the manectric again. She was so animated, much like a child, really... The sneasel's feather-ear suddenly pricked, and she quickly piped up, "Celeste, I've forgotten to tell you something." Celeste looked at her. "What is it?" "The eggs hatched." A slightly bug-eyed look came to the woman's face for a second. "All four of them? It figures they'd hatch when I'm not..." A feeling of dread suddenly hit her as glanced down at Vex's pokeball. "Wait, are they alone?" Shilo shook her head. "No. I found an ally in the form of a murkrow seeking to escape being threatened into Giovanni's service. She remains in the Pokemon Centre." Celeste sighed and looked at Raggy. "We better hurry back." She gave a small chuckle. "I'm afraid about what they might do to that poor bird." |

3 ![]() Eevee's are so cute. And so the bird was slimed. Oh man that was going to take forever to get out of her feathers by herself, ugh. But she didn't complain. Didn't want to hurt the furball's feelings. The troll glanced away from her drawing to Shilo and Celeste, smiling a tiny bit to herself. When Celeste mentioned the unique pokemon, she looked at Robyn, "I know. I've seen some. I've been told that Lu's horns are bizarre, even if I didn't know it for a while. The dark gods seem to like dropping weird things in my lap, so I'm sure I'll find something in time." She looked at her drawing, and scuffed it out with a wave of her foot, "But for now, I wait." Kay was doing her best to be distracted, but she kept looking back at Shilo... especially when the dark cat-thing's attention was on her. Raggy looked like she was debating withdrawing the dog, when Shilo spoke. The troll frowned. "Of course. Kay," she looked down at the dog as her scythe blipped back into a card that she put in her pocket, and pulled out the manectric's pokeball, "Time to go back to sleep. Thank you," she held the ball down, and the dog gave Shilo one last look before barking and squishing her nose on the ball to suck her back in, and withdrew Cotton too, "Shall we fly?" She shifted from foot to foot as Celeste and Shilo got situated on the birds. When they looked like they were all ready, the troll glanced at the sky, and made a split-second decision. "Race you!" |

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Yes, ignorance was bliss for the fluffy silver puppy. And speaking of puppies, the brown and cream fuzzball on the bed finally started to stir. He blinked his eyes sleepily and yawned, showing a set of sharp little puppy teeth, and then looked around and noticed that he was alone. The silver girl pricked her ears and gave a small yap from where she was cuddling with the murkrow, and he looked up at her, then down to see the absol and bulbsaur. But...where was his big brother...? A whimper escaped the boy puppy, and he looked at the black feathery thing with big, slightly-watery eyes in his best pathetic look. Not that, with the near-complete lack of coherent communication skills that the newborns had, she would be likely to have any idea what he wanted. But the concept that other pokemon didn't immediately know what you were thinking hadn't quite occurred to him yet. Wait dark gods what? Just don't ask, Celeste. Ares crowed gleefully and took off like a shot before Raggy's words could even fully register to his rider, who threw her arms around his neck in surprise and let out a squeak. "No one said 'go' you big turkey!" she laughed, and he obligingly circled around to let his opponent have the head start instead. Not that she'd keep it long if he had any say in the matter. Robyn turned her head slightly to look at the sneasel on her back out of the corner of her eye, then flapped up into the air. "See you at the finish line, aluminum for brains!" she called. "Don't keep me waiting there!" he squawked back. Edited by Vulpix Windchimes, Jan 23 2012, 02:23 PM.

3 2 and 4And the brown furball just got a slightly-helpless look back. This was why she never wanted children. Ask, Celeste, I dare you. Ares didn't actually need to stop to circle, because the troll bolted into the air after her proposition. Now, it needs to be said: Ares and Robyn are flat out faster then she is. There's no debating that this is a thing. However, Raggy had survived not because she was fast, but because she had other tricks up her red sleeves. When the troll fell behind, it was debatable if anyone saw her reach into her pocket before she abruptly disappeared with a fizzle of time. The birds and their riders would find the troll standing in front of the pokemon center, holding her sides as she tried to not laugh too loudly. "I apologize! I just had to do that," she said at the looks they were likely giving her, "You're both a lot faster then me, don't worry," she patted the birds. Before they headed inside and to the horde of babies, she shuffled around in her pocket, looking at a card before BWIP her clothes suddenly changed back to the open-front black cloak with the red gear on the right side chest area that Celeste would find familiar, and her orange Ares symbol under it. Her wings were also gone. |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand The pathetic look continued, and the brown puppy started to tremble and whimper more. Distressed, the silver puppy suddenly vanished from her feathery friend's side with a series of those little bursts of speed and hopped up on the bed to paw, lick, bark, and otherwise harass the other puppy in the spirit of stop feeling sad you silly! At this point, the absol suddenly lifted his head and stared very hard at the door. He then got to his paws and started to deliberately walk toward it. The bulbsaur, after watching him for a moment in bewilderment, scrambled to her feet and waddled after him with a chirp. No leaving her behind! The look Ares had upon seeing Raggy at the Centre was priceless. He actually stopped in his tracks, hovering and staring as Robyn shot past him to land gracefully on the sidewalk with a triumphant air about her...after which the staraptor actually noticed the troll standing there and hopped back with chirp of shock. Celeste let out an ungraceful snort of laughter as he tapped her skarmory on the head to snap him out of it and directed for him to land. As she dismounted and watched Raggy's little clothes-swapping trick, she couldn't help but blink a little at the card. "You really have one of those for every occasion, don't you?" she said with a faint chuckle. Must be nice to have everything she needed in such a compact state; even with storage technology being what it was, Celeste still needed to lug around that heavy pack of hers places. She couldn't complain about the strength she'd developed over these years from it, though. She looked from one bird pokemon to the other as Shilo dismounted as well and took a place next to her. "It okay with you two if I swap you out?" Robyn's reply was yawn that sounded a bit like a very short and muted falcon screech, and Ares gave a bit of a shrug to say that he was cool with it. As the doors slid open, Celeste pulled Vex's pokeball off her belt and eyed it for a moment, contemplating swapping her as well, but eventually just put it back. As much as she didn't want trouble from the locals, part of her liked having the big dinosaur there, just in case. She pulled her Control Hub's headphones on and approached the PC. "Activate wireless link to Storage System." She glanced Raggy's way as the system loaded up and she grabbed the pokeballs for her birds to recall them. "I don't mind if you come in the room with me, if you want. It probably looks like a tornado went through it, though." She completed her swap, shut down the link, and turned around with one ordinary pokeball and one luxury ball in hand, which she activated to show a lopunny and riolu. Thane, upon seeing Celeste, promptly gleefully tackled her and sent the poor girl toppling right over onto the floor, where he hugged her tightly and let out a string of gleeful, relieved yaps. Aphrodite just looked from Thane and Celeste, to Shilo, to what in the world is that horned thing? in complete and utter confusion. It didn't help that she looked like she'd just been roused from a sound sleep, including a bad case of bed fur. Half trying to get up, half trying to pry her riolu off her, Celeste breathed a little laugh and made her introductions. "Raggy, this is Thane and Aphrodite. Thane, Affy, this is my friend Raggy." Thane waved a little, but still seemed determined to cling to his trainer. All forty-five pounds of him. |

3 ![]() "I have a captchalogue card for every item I own, yes. Except for my pokeballs that have something in it. Those don't seem to work with this," she dug around in her pocket, and pulled out a whole stack of cards, with various things on them. Mostly just random things, on dark gray cards, with her weapons on the green ones. She flipped through them while Celeste fussed at her pokemon, trying to remember what all she had in there. Most everything looked alien, but with a few normal things peppered in. "Can't be any more messy then my hive was," she said without looking up, still shuffling through. She finally looked up when Thane Happened, though, and dropped a couple of cards in surprise. "You have a riolu?" The cards on the floor popped into the items they held; something that looked (and felt!) like a cross between an iPhone and a giant purple grub, an odd necklace with a skull charm that just seemed to radiate... something between a sinking feeling and pure power, and a pair of oval-shaped sunglasses that seemed to have green "Hello," she wasn't phased by the look Affy gave her, and gave a little smile before realizing that she'd dropped some things and crouching down to retrieve the iGrub first. Or whatever the hell it was called. |

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand Celeste was a bit too preoccupied staring at the purple thing on the ground and silently pleading that it wasn't alive or formerly alive to immediately register the question, but she snapped out of it when Thane shrank and whimpered a bit, staring at the skull necklace. Nasty power-radiating things did not mix well with Aura pokemon, no they did not. "I thought I mentioned him," she commented, lightly scratching the fighting type behind the ear as she moved to a sitting position on the floor and managed to get him to let go in favour of sitting in her lap instead. "I adopted him not too long ago. Why?" The 'why' could just be because riolu were rare...but Raggy already knew she had some rare pokemon. Aphrodite was still very much wondering why she was even here, and looked at Shilo again. The pair exchanged a look and the sneasel started toward the door that lead to the trainers' rooms, beckoning for Affy to follow. Celeste noticed this and coaxed Thane off her lap so she could get up, though he insisted on holding her hand even after the bad-feeling thing was presumably put away again. She'd swapped in Aphrodite because of her way with children, and had little problem letting her go in first, but there were still four newborns, and if the power Duchess had displayed immediately after hatching was any indication, they were all going to be quite the handfuls individually, let alone as a group. However, what they'd find when they entered the hall was the door to her own room partly ajar, and a white baby absol sitting in the middle of hallway expectantly, with a little brown-and-orange bulbasaur next to him, looking very confused about the whole thing. 3 2 and 4*scrolls up* Whoops! Sorry Raggy. The troll cast a quick, annoyed little glance at the ceiling as she grub-thing fwipped back into a card that she put back in the deck, which went back in her pocket, "I apologize. I have a lot on my mind; you did mention him. I've just never seen one in person," she shuffled forward to pick up the necklace, which she regarded with a frown before putting it away too. "I'd kind of like one myself, but they're difficult to find in the mountains nearby. To be fair, I think a lot of wild pokemon are afraid of me," she ran her hand over her horn as she stood and stepped over to the sunglasses on the ground. She picked them up very gently even though they didn't look fragile at all, and regarded them fondly. Instead of putting them away, she set them on her head and followed after the others. Raggy poked her head around the corner of the hallway, apparnatly trying to not scare whatever was in there. She blinked at the absol, squinted, and then looked at Celeste, "What kind of pokemon is that one? With the horn?" she said in a whisper. With the two pups distracted, the murkrow noticed that the absol and bulbasaur went outside, and squawked as she flew after them. She hovered in the hallway, looking at Celeste, and then dove over to land next to Shilo, "The little black one is a really cuddly furball. The one brown fluffball looked like he was about to start bawlin', though." Edited by Steel Cerberus, Jan 24 2012, 09:49 PM.

3 ![]() Bunch of OOC stuff Greenhouse Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Celeste frowned at the idea of pokemon being afraid of Raggy. To be fair, many wild pokemon were afraid of humans, too, but she had seen exactly what she was talking about when Robyn was a starly. She opened her mouth, about to say something along the lines of letting her know if she ever found one in need of a home, when it finally really hit her: She had absolutely no way to contact Raggy. With the fact that she was a time traveler, it may not even be possible to fix that. Celeste tried to push the depressing though aside, something made easier when she saw the babies in the hallway and the murkrow swoop into view. She offered the black bird a small smile before turning her attention back to the odd-looking pair of pokemon. She paused and glanced at Raggy at her question. "They're called absol," she said, "They're dark types." Aphrodite suddenly looked much less sleepy at the wild bird's statement, a look of slight alarm crossing her face. "Bawling?" she repeated, looking very much like she was a second away from racing down the hall and into the room. "Vee?" came a little squeak as a little silver face peeked into the hallway, which withdrew, only for the pair of fuzzballs to emerge together, the female nudging the male somewhere between encouragingly and forcefully. The male eevee saw Thane, and vice versa, and the riolu let go of Celeste's hand to race over. Joyful yapping that was very likely far too loud for this time of night rang out as Thane hugged his 'little brother.' With a satisfied nod, the silver puppy then bounded over to her feathery buddy to give her another happy slurp. Shilo bowed her head to the murkow. "I apologize. I truly did believe they would remain asleep, but I thank you for looking after them." Celeste let out a little 'aww' at the eevee puppies, before she knelt down and cooed to the absol and bulbasaur. "Hey, you two. Were you waiting out here for us?" The white dark type perked up at the gentle voice and moved for the first time since he'd sat there. He got up and walked over calmly, not seeming to even notice Raggy, and sat down again right in front of Celeste, close enough for her to reach out and gently scratch at the base of his horn. The bulbasaur was right at his heels and blinked curiously at all these new things when they stopped. The absol pup's eyes shut at the petting, and Celeste smiled softly. "Absol are pretty special, really," she said, glancing at Raggy for a second, "They're sometimes called the Disaster pokemon. They can detect potential disasters before they happen." Her smile vanished and her demeanor became much more sombre as she let out a sigh. "But humans used to think they caused disasters...so they're a lot rarer now." Bad omens. Bad luck. Always trouble. Always evil. Celeste had her reasons for not believing in superstitions. |

3 4 and 3The troll looked particularly curious at the little disaster pokemon, and crept out of hiding to crouch next to Celeste. She frowned when Celeste explained a little about their species, "What a shame. They're beautiful," she held out her hand, claws facing in, for the absol to sniff before petting him too. She looked at the little orange and brown grass type as well, knowing what a bulbasaur was, but... "That is a bulbasaur, right?" She just wanted to make sure because... well, you know. Since she'd never seen an absol before, she didn't realize that he wasn't supposed to be solid white. She reached out her other hand towards the little lady. The lady burd opened her beak to repeat herself, but the eevee pair showed up and then everything was better. She clicked her beak shut, and braced herself for being smothered in affection again. This time, though, she patted the furball with a wing and looked at Shilo, "It's a good thing you guys came back when you did. I wouldn't have been able to round all four of them up." |

3 I live! And this is now my non-canon solo thread. Greenhouse Plants On Hand "They are," Celeste agreed softly. The absol pup gave Raggy's hand a brief sniff before allowing her to pet him as well, his tail giving a small half-wag. The bulbasaur gave a small chirp and waddled over to give the offered hand a gentle, friendly headbutt, and Celeste chuckled. "Yeah, she is." She gave the grass type a studying look, only now really thinking about the baby's colouration. After all, weren't their bodies green because of the chlorophyll in their skin? She looked fine, but Celeste thought that maybe she'd get the nurse to look the little bulbasaur over. Celeste shook her head a little. "...What is Cerb feeding your parents?" she joked slightly, looking at the white pup again, who opened a pale blue eye briefly before shutting it again and going back to being perfectly at peace with everything ever. "Absol aren't usually completely white, either," she explained, turning her attention back to Raggy. "The face and blades are generally black." At least she could explain this with some kind form of albinism; she briefly wondered if Cerb had ever told her who the father was of either of these kids. That was when Thane came back, fuzzball bouncing along behind him. He pointed at Celeste and yapped happily. "That's mommy." The eevee pup perked up and trotted over, weaving between the two over babies to sit by the redheaded woman and wag his tail at her. Celeste smiled and scratched the little puppy under the chin. "Hello there, fella. You're probably Zelda's boy, huh?" Aphrodite flicked an ear and glanced at her trainer briefly. "This one certainly looks like Faith's," she commented in perfect english, before looking back at the murkrow and giving her a small, amused smile. "I don't know, seems like you have a way with them," she said, switching back easily into her native language. The silver puppy gave a happy yip. Shilo's head was still bowed slightly. "And, regardless, your actions are appreciated. Please allow us to repay you somehow." |

3 I was actually going to suggest before making this your NC thread if you wanted to, but I kept forgetting to add it in. :C And yay for Vulpy. Boo for Steely being braindead, though. As the troll gently patted the two pokemon, the sunglasses on her head slid down over her eyes. The lenses flashed green binary for a second, and she pushed them up with a frown. With her horns where they were, they didn't have much room to stay put, but she seemed strongly against putting them away yet. She looked around at all the baby pokemon, blinking, "How many pokemon do you have?" she turned her head a little to look at Celeste, petting anything that approached her within petting distance. The murkrow huffed something that might have been 'had to humor the kid' when she looked at the clingy little silver pup. She raised a feathery eyebrow at Shilo, "Don't feel like you have to, lady. Not like I want anything." |

2 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Celeste did not immediately answer that question...Mostly because she was trying to do a mental count and give Raggy an accurate number. After a moment, she realized that attempting such would result in a long, awkward silence and simply breathed a small, sheepish laugh and answered with, "...A lot?" Pulling away the hand petting the boy eevee to rub the back of her neck, she elaborated, "I'm part of the Black Tesla, so pretty much all of my pokemon live on the ranch they own." A side effect of knowing that your pokemon were living a comfortable, happy life when they weren't with you was accumulating a lot of them, apparently. She didn't know if Raggy even knew about the team, but she figured it was a safe bet that she hadn't been there, if she hadn't already met a bunch of Celeste's pokemon. The thought made her perk up a little and smile. "You could come see it sometime, if you want. We're pretty relaxed about visitors down there." She doubted Steely would be fazed by Raggy's unusual appearance Shilo opened her mouth to answer the murkrow, but Aphrodite did it for her, giggling slightly as she offered her paw to the silver pup to sniff. "Technically, she does. Or at least she has to offer. Honour code." "That is an oversimplification," the sneasel half-mumbled, glancing to one side. Aphrodite quietly rolled her eyes; it was more like hitting the nail on the head. The rabbit really didn't understand the kind of complex philosophies some humans and pokemon adopted. To her, life was simple. If it's friendly, be nice. If it's a threat, beat its face in until it stops being a threat. Deciding to 'save' the murkrow from the overly affectionate youngster, Aphrodite gently scooped the pup into her arms. She yipped excitedly, looking down at the ground as the lopunny stood up and then snuggling into Affy's soft fur. She was up high again! She liked up high! "Aren't you just the sweetest little darling..." she cooed affectionately, before giving the murkrow another smile. "Knowing our trainer, she'll at least want to give you some berries to eat. We have plenty." |

3 3 and 2 berriesThe troll slowly smiled with amusement when Celeste finally said that she had a lot, with no specific number. "It must be nice. I only have Cotton, Kay, Lu, Eggy and Lady. I don't know what I'm going to do when I have more then that... I've found that Pokemon kind of tend to just... follow me around." she ran her hand over the curve of her horn. She wasn't complaining, but having non-hostile animals follow her around was kind of a new thing she was getting used to. "I'll try to come by sometime, after our timelines synch back up. Apparantly I still have to go further back... but, I doubt one of the Knights there will be happy to see me: I scared her pretty badly, a short time ago. From my perspective, at least," the troll laughed, even though Celeste was no doubt confused/wondering what the eff the troll was talking about. Again. The lady crow smiled again at Affy and Shilo, "Naw, it's cool. I understand. Uh. I guess I'll take a berry, whenever your human feels like it. I'm not in a rush," she looked over at Celeste and the troll talking, "Still a little unnerved from that big honchkrow, to be honest. She did a good job of ditching them, huh?" Because, yeah, that thing before still happened. |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand Yes, that thing happened. Even though Celeste wants to pretend it didn't. She gave her own smile of amusement when Raggy mentioned pokemon following her around, but didn't say anything. She really didn't want to ruin the surprise. What she said next indeed earned a confused expression. Raggy had referred to Steely--well, she'd said 'your leader,' but she figured it was Steely--as a Knight in Murmur Valley, so now they apparently had more than one, or would in the future? Celeste couldn't imagine Steely being scared by...really anything, so it was probably one of these mystery future Knight people... Finally, Celeste just breathed a little laugh of her own, a bit amused all the same over the idea of some future BT member freaking out over Raggy, and said with a smile, "In that case, I'll make sure I handle giving you the grand tour and we'll cross that bridge when we come to it." Her mind going back a little to the thought of syncing their timelines, she added, "I can give you the where and when and any other details for going back later if that'll help." She was trying to remember anything about the trip that could be important; the whole thing had been such an emotional roller coaster and information overload. Shilo nodded to the murkrow. "Yes. She had already escaped the park unscathed when I returned to her." Aphrodite blinked, and looked between the bird and Shilo, then at Celeste. Making a decision, she quietly weaved her way through the youngsters and gave Celeste a gentle nudge. "Have any names in mind?" she asked. The pup in her arms gave a cheerful yip. Celeste glanced over and chuckled, moving to give the female eevee a gentle scratch behind the ear. "Well...we could go with Psyche for this one." Affy looked at her a bit oddly and she elaborated, "It's from a folktale. Psyche was a beautiful mortal who made the goddess Aphrodite jealous." The lopunny very slowly raised an eyebrow at Celeste, then looked down at the silver and black pup in her arms as if to say 'yeah, right.' The woman laughed a little. "Well, or Venus. Depends on which pantheon of gods you're looking at." Aphrodite just shook her head at that. Humans had way too many gods. "Psyche it is, then...So what's this about a honchkrow?" Celeste cringed slightly and blushed. "I'll tell you later," she said quickly. She looked over at where Shilo and the murkrow were. "Anyone hungry? These kids could probably use something to eat and I don't mind grabbing some extra." |

3 ![]() The troll's eyebrows shot up when Celeste mentioned giving her time-traveling a direction, "That would be nice, actually. I kind of ran off in a hurry the last time we met, which is why I didn't go back far enough this time..." she shook her head, "And after our next meeting, it will be easier for you to contact me... so that will be good." "Well that's good. Hopefully that lot will stay gone," she shivered, "Or maybe I'll just... move. Between this place exploding and weird things popping up, it might be time for a change of scenery." The troll smiled at the exchange with Celeste and her pokemon, "It still seems fitting, somehow." The crow blinked at the redhead, glanced at Shilo, but shrugged and fluttered up to land on Celeste's shoulder, "Yeah sure, may as well. I'm sure as hell not going back outside tonight." "I would bring my lot out, but I think I should let them all sleep. They were up all day while I was sleeping..." she frowned, looking at the ceiling, "I should get a nocturnal pokemon, so I can have some company when I'm awake." Since, remember, trolls are nocturnal. Come to think of it, she blinked at Celeste and her lot, like she was just now realizing it was late at night and they were all awake, "You're not tired?" 3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand Celeste blinked when she suddenly had a crow on her shoulder, then smiled and chuckled, deciding to take that as a yes. Shilo nodded and walked over to her trainer's side as well, though her mind was elsewhere as she considered what the murkrow had said about a change of scenery. The question earned another blink, though Aphrodite answered before Celeste could. "I am," the rabbit said bluntly, "I'm supposed to be asleep." A weak chuckle escaped from the redhead as she smiled at Affy apologetically. "Yeah, sorry about that..." She looked back at Raggy. "But, I...have sleeping issues," she admitted, biting her lip briefly. She didn't really want to elaborate on why, though maybe the troll would at least semi-understand after she went back. "I don't tend to sleep straight through the night, so I sleep in small amounts in the day to compensate, which means I'm not always all that tired until really late at night to start with. Besides, like I said, I'd had a feeling tonight would be the night we met up so I tried to get some rest before looking for you." Celeste glanced down at her non-scarred arm, frowning slightly. "It's...probably not good for me, since there's something in sunlight humans need, though there are other ways to get it..." she commented, half to herself. Vitamin D deficiency wasn't something she particularly wanted to deal with, and she half-considered seeing if she should get a hold of some supplements. She shook her head a little and smiled at Raggy again. "But my point is, I probably won't be awake all night, but you don't have to worry about me just suddenly passing out on you." Shilo, transitioning to english effortlessly, added, "My kind are generally active during the night by nature." Pokemon did tend to be more flexible, though, depending on their environment and especially if they traveled with a trainer. For the most part, she just slept when Celeste did and was active when she was. "And the children were asleep until recently." Celeste glanced down at the young pokemon. "And they should probably go back to sleep after eating," she commented. Thane sheepishly pinned his ears back at that. She started to head toward her room, gesturing for pokemon and troll alike to follow her and thinking to herself for a moment before piping up with, "Ghost type and dark type species do tend to be nocturnal, or at least suited to it." She glanced back at Raggy briefly. "Or maybe a bat pokemon." She hadn't even noticed that she was starting to stroke the murkrow on her shoulder idly; she was just so used to doing that with pokemon who perched there. The fact that she would be able to contact the other woman after she ran into her again had her seriously thinking about helping her find pokemon. Celeste stopped and stared at the clothes and objects strewn about her room for a second before looking to her pokemon; Thane made a point of not looking in her direction and Shilo started to idly run her claws against each other. The redhead just sighed to herself, especially when Psyche leaped out of Aphrodite's arms and hopped right into a pile of clothing with a happy yip. Watmels first. She wove through the mess and reached her pack, where she pulled out one of the round, juicy berries and offered it to the murkrow on her shoulder. "Here. They're really sweet, just a warning." Even if the murkrow had had Watmels before, the cultivated ones tended to be particularly flavourful. She then fished out another sweet treat and offered it to Shilo, who took it with a nod of thanks. Aphrodite calmly walked over and grabbed up some for the children and one for herself. Once that was finished, she looked back at Raggy. "I have some snacks, too. I'm not really sure if...I mean..." Celeste bit her lip; how many times was Raggy going to assure her that asking these questions was okay before she stopped feeling so unsure about it? Likely a lot. "I'm not sure what you like to eat. If you're even hungry. I do try to keep food with me at all times that sorta runs the gamut, even it town, but..." She knew her diet couldn't be too alien, since she was surviving just fine, but it was more a question of whether she was an omnivore or not or if she possibly had allergies Celeste wouldn't normally think to ask about. Offering the wild murkrow a Watmel berry. Giving one Watmel berry each to Aphrodite (21 'cause of that Soothe Bell of hers), Delirium (14 ), Thane (13 ), Drosera (6 ), Spectre (6 ), Shilo (8 ) Psyche (6 ).

3 4 and 2The ram-horned woman looked genuinely concerned when Celeste said she had a hard time sleeping, but yet... understanding? She ran a hand over her horn, "Do you have nightmares too?" Ding! Though, not for the reasons Celeste might think. It was only when Celeste realized the 'too' part of the sentence did the troll elaborate, "Our whole species is plagued with terrible visions of blood and carnage when we sleep. On our home planet, we would sleep in... special things that kept the worst of them at bay. I obviously don't have that sort of thing here, but it's actually kind of started to fade for me. Not that my subconscious was very straightforward to begin with..." Nothing about you is straightforward, hun. She glanced up at the ceiling until Celeste mentioned ghost and dark types, and looked down at Spectre curiously. She looked back at Celeste, "I guess I'll just wait and see what happens." The crow noticed the hand reaching for her, and her eyes got huge. She hunkered down and stared at the hand, only relaxing after she realized that the human wasn't going to swat her off of her shoulder or something. The watmel was taken in her beak when she was offered it, and she fluttered over onto one of Celeste's shirts to rip the berry apart and make a mess. At least it wasn't getting on the floor? Raggy was watching all of the pokemon, oblivious to the redhead's unsureness until she heard her stop suddenly. She laughed a little. "I am capable of eating the same things you eat. Some things on my planet were different, obviously, but I can eat normal human food. I just ate before I came out here, but thank you for the offer. You're a particularly kind human." |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Raggy's correct guess seemed to literally knock Celeste off balance, and the elaboration she received when she realized exactly what the troll had said and quietly mouthed 'too?' caused her to frown. She rubbed the scar on her arm. "Yes...but it's not exactly like that. I didn't always have them..." With a human, it would be easy to explain. The fact that she'd been in the war would probably be answer enough. But Raggy...she wasn't human. Trolls aren't really bothered by much... or at least I'm not. I've done lots of things I think most humans would be uncomfortable with. "I'd rather not get into it...again..." she said quietly, hoping that that would get the point across to wait until she went back. Those were her last words on the topic either way. After the berries were distributed, Aphrodite was soon sitting on the bed, nibbling away at her berry with Psyche, Thane, and the other eevee sitting next to her and the absol and bulbasaur on the floor nearby. Shilo slipped into the corner of the room she'd claimed for sleep and mediation and went about trying to eat her own berry in the least messy way possible. Raggy's thanks and compliment earned a small smile as Celeste rubbed her collared neck slightly. "Well I...thanks. I try to be. I mean, I'm not perfect..." Aphrodite's ear twitched and she suddenly looked up from her snack, giving Celeste a hard stare. "If you start getting mopey, I'm going to throw this at you," she said, holding up the half-eaten berry as threateningly as one could. That earned a small laugh from her trainer. "Wow, you really do need to go back to sleep, don't you?" When the lopunny did nothing but narrow her eyes, she let out another laugh. "Relax, Affy. I'm not going to get mopey; I'm still glad to have two arms." Aphrodite didn't look any happier at the reminder of what happened in the Halcyon Forest without her. "That is not something to say to make me relax," she mumbled irritably as she went back to eating. As the absol polished off his treat, he stood and stretched before padding over to Celeste. The bulbasaur finished hers off with a large chomp the moment he got up and hurried to waddle after him. The human woman gave a chuckle, giving the white pokemon a small pat. "The rest of you guys still need names," she commented, humming slightly in thought. "And you need pokeballs," she added as an afterthought. She started going through her bag again, and pulled out four of the red and white orbs. By this point, the pair of eevee had wandered over as well. Celeste gently placed a ball in front of each of the four, which they looked at curiously. Psyche suddenly pounced on hers, letting out a yip of surprise as the ball opened and she vanished inside. The boy eevee stared at the ball as the capture mechanism went 'ping' with wide eyes. "She's okay," Celeste assured him gently, reaching out to pick up the ball and activate it. The silver and black pup appeared again and shook her coat, blinking in confusion and yapping. "See?" She pointed the ball at Psyche and recalled her again. "It's just a place for sleeping in." The boy eevee nodded slowly and cautiously pawed his ball, also activating the mechanism and disappearing inside it. The orb jumped a little surprise despite the assurances, but he was captured momentarily as well. The absol and bulbasaur glanced at each other, then activated their pokeballs as well at the same time; the moment they were captured, however, the balls vanished. Celeste glanced back at Affy as she gathered up the boy eevee's pokeball. "How fast do you think Zelda's going to find these two once they're on the ranch?" "Depends on how soon she wakes up." Aphrodite tried to stifle a yawn, causing Thane to yawn beside her. "Speaking of which...Pokeball, please." Celeste complied and recalled her, leaving Shilo as the only pokemon in the room. Well, other than the murkrow. Celeste found herself eying the black bird thoughtfully... |

3 4 and 3The troll seemed to sense the Cultural Differences here, and nodded to effectively drop the subject. She didn't mind it, though she felt bad for making the human uncomfortable again. She really did appreciate the redhead for being the way she was, though for reasons that Celeste wouldn't be aware of quite yet... Time is confusing. While the rest of the pokemon were eating their snacks or doing their thing, the Thief of Time just observed, leaning against the dresser with her arms crossed, just smiling as she watched. Yes, she liked pokemon a lot. Though, her eyes kept being drawn back to the absol cub with particular interest. Meanwhile, the murkrow had piled the watmel rinds off to the side, and was licking her beak when Celeste looked at her. The crow looked back. "Oh for Arceus' sake, just ask me already," she fluffed up her feathers to look like a feathery softball for a second before letting them flatten down. The troll didn't understand the bird's squawking as much as Celeste would understand it, but there was someone there that could translate... |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand Celeste blinked in surprise when she was squawked at, and her eyes darted to Shilo, whose ear had twitched in the midst of cleaning her claws at the murkrow's words. She looked up. "She is expecting a question." It took a moment for Celeste to realize what Shilo meant, and she flashed a sheepish smile. "Am I that transparent, or did you tell her?" "I did not tell her," was the simple reply. Celeste breathed a little laugh and rubbed the back of her collar slightly and moved over to where the wild murkrow was sitting. She knelt down and carefully offered a hand to stroke her feathers. "In that case, allow me to extend a proper invitation. Would you like to come with us, murkrow? I'm part of a team that lets our pokemon stay on a large ranch, and I have a lot of bird pokemon already. You wouldn't have to worry about bullies like Giovanni anymore; anyone who tried that down there would get the stuffing kicked out of them." She wasn't kidding about that. She had a distinct impression that an arrogant honchkrow--or any other type of bird--getting any bright ideas would probably result in someone calling Raijin. 3 ![]() And Raijin sure is scary! The murkrow listened patiently, an amused smile on her beak as much as it could be. She waved her wing when Celeste was done, "Yeah, sure sure. Besides, like I was tellin' her, I could use a change of scenery." She winked at Shilo, and fluttered away from Celeste's hand only to flap up and land on her shoulder, "As long as I can stay up here." Raggy didn't need a translator to understand that one, and chuckled a little off to the side. How nice it was to be able to befriend things peacefully! Though considering Celeste's night, she kind of deserved it. "Are you two going to be going to sleep soon? It is awfully late," The troll blinked at them, but didn't seem to have a clock on her to look at. Then again, being the Hero of Time, maybe she had some kind of weird internal clock? Celeste did already have a couple of pokemon who were a bit small for their species, and honchkrow weren't as big as a staraptor or skarmory to start with... Well, she'd cross that bridge when she came to it, right? She looked over at Raggy and blinked at her at the question, then looked over at Shilo, who had no reply to give. The human shrugged very slightly, careful not to jostle her new murkrow too much. "I guess I probably should, once I get everyone set up at the ranch and everything..." She was in no hurry to shoo Raggy away, and her tone reflected that. In fact, you could call her downright reluctant, but she did realize that she needed to sleep sometime tonight if she was going to go anywhere tomorrow. She reached up to pet the bird again, who glanced at Shilo. "She does this a lot, doesn't she?" The sneasel shrugged. "She will stop if you'd prefer." "Nah. I'll just get used to it." Being petted was a hell of a lot better than glowing-eyed glares. Celeste suddenly perked up, remembering something. "Oh! I was going to give you some details about when I saw you last, right? I could do that now that the kids are fed and everything if you were going to leave later tonight." The idea of staying one more day and telling her early tomorrow night instead didn't bother her, but Raggy had earlier expressed a desire to get out of the city soon and Celeste didn't want to delay her. |

3 4 and 3 berries"I imagine once you relax, you'll realize how exhausted you are," she laughed a little. The same thing happened to her, at least, even if it didn't help the nightmares. It likely wouldn't help Celeste either, but maybe human's brains worked differently... She was quietly adding that to the list of 'things to ask Her Human when she saw her again' when Celeste spoke up again, and the troll perked up too, "Oh. Yes! That would be helpful. I'll go straight there, I think. Well, maybe a trip to the mountains first..." she shuffled her feet, looking at where Spectre had been a few minutes ago. "So I can get it right this time. Maybe I'm getting rusty since I haven't done this in such a long time... I, um," the troll hesitated now. It was the hesitation of someone that didn't want to say something, but knew that Fate would make sure it happened anyways. No point in delaying the inevitable, "I can tell you where you see me next, if you like?" |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand Celeste breathed a little laugh of her own. "Yeah, probably..." That didn't make her want to go to sleep any more, but she wasn't going to fight her own body on this one. She smirked a little at the mention of the mountains, but the hesitation and question made it vanish, replaced by a frown. She didn't like the impression she was getting from Raggy about the future, and she chewed her bottom lip slightly without replying right away. She knew it didn't really matter, what with Paradox Space and all, but her first instinct was to say yes. Things being set in stone frightened her...But it was almost comforting as well. At least knowing would give her the illusion of control over her fate. "I...Yeah. I'd kind of like that. I might not have come out tonight if you hadn't dropped the hint before so, it...would make sense if I went...will go...There really aren't proper tenses for this kind of thing, are there?" She shook her head. "But, yes. I'd like to know." She shifted her headphones onto her ears very briefly, speaking into her microphone, "Activate display. Show map of Murmur Valley area." The holographic 'screen' popped up as it always did, much to her new bird's surprise, and she quickly adjusted it with her dials to move it further from her face and make it larger so that Raggy could easily stand beside her and read it too. She then slipped the headset off again and started to 'move' the map around with her finger. She tapped a spot nearby Misthenge. "You showed up around here with Cotton, and walked through the valley with me. Still can't believe I decided to go through there...But, well, I'd had a scrap with the monster of Loch Neeru, and I just wanted a route out of Misthenge to Brightopolis that didn't involve getting near it again..." Right where you said you'd be. Celeste smiled to herself, then brought a hand to her mouth to stifle a yawn. Okay, maybe she really was exhausted. But she'd go to sleep when she was done, not before. 3 ![]() Raggy laughed at the mention of proper tenses, "Well, past tense for me, future tense for you. Both are technically correct." She shuffled over to look at the map display, frowning deeply at it and wrinkling her nose. Her pointed ears even seemed to flatten slightly. "Was never good with these kinds of things..." she mumbled, pulling out her one poketech and fiddling around until she found the map and marked the spot. She looked back and fourth a few times, as if making sure that she marked the right spot. However, she seemed more fascinated with the technology itself then what it was displaying, and raised her hand to see if she could move the map herself. "I know someone who would really get a kick out of this. She loves spatial things," Raggy said suddenly, the faintest touch of affection seeping into her voice. She frowned, though; if she was able to move the map herself, she'd stop at Lorenzo, but if not she would just stop trying to move it. "Lorenzo. I'm hiding in Lorenzo." |

3 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand The map responded to Raggy just like it did to Celeste. As long as someone was on the correct side of the hologram, they could interact with it. Even the voice commands weren't dependent on her specific voice. Someone could consider it a little odd that, with how paranoid she could be, she didn't have anything to 'lock out' other potential users, but she was just paranoid enough that she'd considered the fact that something could happen that would cause it to lock her out when she needed it, or that she'd be in a situation where someone else had to use it and couldn't. Given that her Escape Rope was in there, she really didn't want that to happen. Though, now that she had a porygon, maybe she could do something to increase the security without that risk... The map zoomed out a little when Murmur Valley was no longer in view, and when Celeste reached up to tap the dot on the map that indicated Lorenzo, it zoomed in again, showing the surrounding Wildlands in more detail. Another tap would have brought her to a map of the city, but she left it as is, frowning quietly to herself. Hiding? "I keep ending up back in that city..." she commented, more to herself than anything. Though that wasn't too surprising, given that all the official Pokemon League stuff happened out there. She didn't bother pulling on the headset again, just picking it up and bringing the microphone to her mouth. "Deactivate display." She tapped the collar, a fleeting smile flickering across her face. "I didn't build it, but I designed this myself. I've got the only one." Celeste yawned again and shook her head a bit. "I..." She frowned, collecting her thoughts. "One thing...I wanted to say. For tonight, and for the valley when you go back..." She turned to look right at Raggy, and despite her tiredness, her voice carried a soft sincerity. "Thank you. For being there and watching my back. Not everything down there is all that friendly, and...I really appreciate the company. So thank you." Shilo bowed her head slightly. "I thank you as well," she said quietly, though she chose not to elaborate exactly for what. As strange as this woman was, she trusted her. Edited by Vulpix Windchimes, Jul 18 2012, 09:14 AM.

3 2 and 3 berriesThe troll chuckled, but it was unusually dark from what Celeste had seen of her so far. "I know that town very well. Personally, I hope I never see it again. I don't do well around crowds," she shrugged. "It's nice. The holographic display especially. Very useful." And now, the troll blinked at Celeste, looking slightly surprised. The blankly surprised look suddenly turned to a smile, "I should be the one thanking you, Celeste. For being my..." she trailed off, waving her hand like she was searching for the word. "Oh, what do humans call it. Friend? A friend is only a good thing in human language, isn't it?" Trolls are weird. "But, still... thank both of you. Really. You'll see why when you meet up with me again, I guess," she rubbed the curve of her horn again, shuffling her feet. |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Celeste's brow quirked slightly. "Yeah, friend's the right word. And it is." She was a little perplexed at the idea of it not being, the popularity of the phrase 'with friends like these, who needs enemies' not withstanding. That implied they were really bad at being friends, anyway, which reinforced that friends were supposed to be a good thing... ...Wow, she really did need to sleep, didn't she? "What do trolls call it?" she asked, curious. Celeste had picked up that that horn-rubbing action was likely a sign of discomfort, and she figured steering the subject away from the future might be a good thing. That, and she was piecing together a picture from tonight and the time in the valley that...she wasn't sure what to make of, exactly. The murkrow looked from her new trainer to Shilo, completely bewildered. "Okay, what am I missing here?" "Raggy is a time traveler," the sneasel replied with a completely straight face. "...What." |

3 3 and 3"Trolls don't... have a word for it. Trolls don't really have friends." It wasn't exactly surprising that she seemed pretty nonchalant about that statement. The only traces of awkwardness were likely because she knew enough about how humans worked to know that such an idea was completely bizarre. "Actually, in troll language, the word for friend is exactly the same as the word for enemy. Even if I were to pronounce it, you wouldn't be able to... reproduce the sound. I enjoy speaking human language better anyways. It's a lot easier." Not to mention that I don't have any damn idea what troll language even looks or sounds like. Or even how Raggy... is so fluent. It was kind of never explained how humans and trolls could communicate, but let's hope a cosmic Jedi paw-wave from a giant metal dog will keep Celeste from asking anymore questions I can't answer. >.> |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand This new information didn't surprise Celeste, exactly, but that didn't mean she liked it. She just had a quiet frown on her face as Raggy explained, and a far away, slightly haunted look in her eyes. She could almost see the sense in the word being the way it was. If the positive meaning of the word was rarely, if ever, required, why would it need a separate word? Celeste was Raggy's friend. Period. Something inside her, right then and there, decided that that was not going to change. As long as the troll was stuck here, she was going to be her friend, and if she ever found her way back home... She could waste time wondering why Raggy would want to go back, with all she'd found out, but she understood. She'd understood as soon she saw how Raggy missed her lusus. If she ever found her way back home, Celeste would be there to see her off if at all possible. Celeste finally seemed to snap out of it when she yawned and shook her head a little. "Raggy...do me a favour and take care of yourself up in those mountains, okay?" she said quietly. She knew Raggy was going to go, since she knew, if only from Cotton's evolutionary stage, that some time had passed between now and then. She smiled. "I mean, I know I don't have a reason to worry since I've already seen you, but..." She shrugged. "Humour me." |

3 ![]() Raggy yawned just after Celeste did, proving that even trolls could fall victim to that particular reflex. When Celeste asked her to be careful, like she couldn't comprehend why Celeste could possibly be worried about her. Something occurred to her suddenly, and she started to voice it, but a whisper in the back of her mind made her stop. That was a conversation for another day. "I will. I promise. If nothing else, just know that we have Eggy with us, just in case," she chuckled. "And the same goes for you too! I'll get this timeline straightened out at some point... it won't be as confusing for you, then. You, however, should get to sleep. You keep yawning," she smiled. |

2 ![]() Greenhouse *Need Berry Roll Plants On Hand *Need Berry Roll Celeste smirked a little. "Raggy, I think you're always going to be a little confusing to me." Her tone implied that she didn't see that at all as a bad thing, and, to be honest, she didn't. As frustrating, and saddening, as it could be, she kind of liked how different Raggy was. "But...yeah, I really should," she admitted, idly giving her collar another tap. "I can handle transferring the other pokemon to the ranch," Shilo offered, and Celeste smiled. She undid her collar, revealing the black scales again, and knelt down to hand it to the sneasel. "Thanks, Shilo." The murkrow took that opportunity to flutter down from her shoulder and land beside the weasel. "I'll come, too. Might as well see this ranch while there's still night." She stood up again and smiled at Raggy as the pokemon left. "Good luck. Absol can be pretty elusive but..." She tilted her head slightly. "I have a good feeling about that." Absol could inherently sense danger, and the wild ones would know all too well what it was like to be judged. As rare as they were, she thought Raggy's chances were pretty good. It was the other things in the mountains that made her a little worried. Celeste managed, just barely, to squash the urge to attempt a goodbye hug. She didn't know how the troll woman would react to that and figured this might not be the best time to find out. Besides, she didn't know how sharp the edges of Raggy's horns were and didn't particularly want to find that out either. |

3 4 and 2The troll chuckled in response, "Well, then we can both always be confused about each other. I don't know if I'll ever understand humans completely." And the funny thing is that we haven't even touched on the most confusing part of Trolls yet. Maybe next time! "T-thank you. For the luck. And..." she hesitated for a second, looking up as if she expected someone to interrupt her. She continued after only a second, "You'll be fine. Trust me." Raggy smiled, looking for just a second like the same hugging thought had crossed her mind, but she came to the same conclusion that Celeste did. Instead, she did a little salute and switched back to the red cloak with the wings and the gear on her chest before heading out of the pokemon center and flying off into the night. |

3 ![]() Greenhouse Plants On Hand Celeste smiled at the salute, but as soon as Raggy was gone the smile faded. You'll be fine. Raggy had said the same thing back in the valley. In hindsight, she'd probably meant the fight with the gryphon...but now? A beast appears close In the city of ghosts But then if you stare It's really not there ...Was that what she meant? Celeste shook her head and sat on her bed. She inhaled slowly and then exhaled, feeling like she was going to simply flop over and pass out right now. What a night. But she didn't regret it. Well, maybe regretted some parts, but it had turned out all right in the end. She perked up slightly, partly opening her eyes as a familiar shape walked into the room and gently placed her collar on top of the mess of objects strewn about the floor. "Shilo?" The sneasel's feather-ear twitched slightly and she looked over at the woman sitting on the bed. "Celeste?" "There's another Holy Mechanism I want to go after...Will you come with me?" Shilo stopped and stared for a moment, not sure at all how to reply. She'd been bothered by being left behind for both Dive and Fly, but this was not something she expected. She knew Celeste didn't perceive herself as Shilo's owner, but being asked like this was strange. The tired tone did nothing to hide the hopefulness behind it, as if she really did expect to be turned down. "I will," Shilo answered, firmly, bowing her head slightly. Smiling sleepily, Celeste laid down and shut her eyes, not bothering to change out of her clothing. "Thank you..." Edited by Vulpix Windchimes, Aug 12 2012, 07:21 PM.

3 ![]() So, a few hours later. The troll was gone, but a thread was still left hanging, flowing in the breeze. "I was so close. So close." "Ya shoulda known that it wasn't going to happen." The honchkrow turned his head nearly all the way around to look at the top of the fountain, where the gold and silver murkrow was skeptically staring at him now. The blackbird snorted, fluffing up like a baskeball. "Still... it was nice. If her pokemon and the troll hadn't interfered..." "Rosie is gonna be so mad at you if she finds out," the bird fluttered down, seeming to shed feathers and grow impossibly bigger, armored with stainless steel but keeping the mane of golden feathers. The pokemon seemed unphased by the giant metal dog suddenly sitting next to him, long dragon tail sitting in the water of the fountain. "Where were you?" he asked, dodging her observation. Givin' Celeste something. I feel like she deserves it, the machine fluffed her feathers and shook her head, Are you gonna stay a bird all night? "No... I suppose not. It was kind of fun, though... the bird transformed into a slender demon dog, who cracked an amused smile. I don't get to do things like that often enough. So, are we just waiting for him now? he settled down next to the silver dog, looking out towards the south west. Yup. He's not getting away from us this time... Khaos is too dangerous to have running around this place, the silver dog flattened her ears, and the two waited at the fountain for the next day. But yet, nobody else would see the two giant dogs in the city, for they were mysterious and made of magic. The next morning, strewn amongst her belongings, Celeste would find a random fire stone and a dusk stone along with a sprinkling of golden feathers. Now I'm done. Get outta here. When you feel like it, post in Lorenzo and have Celeste lookin' for Raggy, I should be paying attention enough to swoop in to mod. |

Nobody else at all? I think one did, though the only sign of that would be a faint chiming sound and a few mad-sounding giggles as something golden appeared and then vanished just as quickly somewhere in the distance, leaving behind 3 . But I'm pretty sure the dogs knew all about that one. |
