(I think it's kind of dumb to start a thread in the Rocky Ruinlands for one Landmark, so I'm going to incorporate it here.)

We set off from Cryzanthum first thing in the morning, I knew that if we left early enough we would easily have enough time to get to Moorfeldt by nightfall. The dreams the night before were bizarre, bits and pieces from the past that I could barely remember, but they all seemed to be urging me on my journey. I know, the goal to being a Pokemon Champion is pretty retarded when you think about it, and the odds are better that I would get eaten by a Shaymin if I was being honest with myself, but somehow I knew that this quest was...just. Like it was what I was meant to be. Or at least where I was meant to be. To be honest, I've never really been one for the whole destiny thing, so this was pretty strange to me.

Jeany had agreed to watch over my apartment while I was gone, and was even kind enough to offer to send me things as I needed them, but I was actually pretty cool with the whole wilderness thing. It would be just like camping, expect all the time. I dressed pretty conservatively for the weather; jeans, a black t-shirt with a dark grey zip up fleece for warmth, a pair of good boots, and my favorite ball cap, and only carried enough food and spare clothes as I could fit into my old backpack. With the pokeballs of Apollo, Pete, Namor, and Terrence safely tucked into my pocket, and Tai by my side, I made my first steps into the scraggly shrubs and weeds that filled the outside boarders of the Rocky Ruinlands.

I have to admit, I already felt like a giant weight had been lifted off my shoulders. It was peaceful out here, calm. Like all of my doubts were being carried away in the cold, October morning breeze. I found myself growing more bold and confident in my decision with every step, and the desire to see if I still had any worth as a trainer was getting more tempting with every movement in the horizon. With any luck, we'd run into something to battle soon enough, and I can get my wish.

(Shit post but I'm le tired.)

Fudd Mod since you didn't specify.

Exit Shrublands into Foxholes.

The old ditches are overgrown and sometimes difficult to see.
They hide things well, including a very young trainer hoping to prove himself - as a ninja.
He actually follows you for awhile before revealing his self.
He has one pokemon on him.
Everything about the boy and his pokemon are completely up to you to decide.
You can choose to ignore him too.
