Go for it, run towards it, dive in head first. Live life with no regrets!
Continued/Prompt from here!

The trees around them very quickly became devoid of snow, and the temperature started to rise. It was still cold, sure, but not cold enough for water to stay frozen. There was less water, too, turning from a few puddles to nice, dry forest floor.

"I never thought I'd be so happy to see dry ground," she said, hearing the leaf litter rustle under her feet instead of the crunching of snow, "Though as soon as we head somewhere really hot, I'm going to complain about how hot it is. We obviously need to find nice, temperate places to travel."

"And then complain that it's too boring," Coyote laughed, still sitting on her shoulder. He felt like being a little bit lazy for a while, which was fine with her.

Bunker, on the other hand, was looking off into the trees with his ears sticking up, like he was listening for something. Eisen was intentionally ignoring him, because maybe if she pretended crazy shit wasn't happening, then it would stop.

"Pssst, hey foxy."

Yeah, she really didn't expect that to work.

Bunker pulled his lips back and snarled, revealing his teeth as the fella stepped out from behind a tree. Eisen nearly laughed at him: He looked like a ninja. You know, the ones wearing black pajamas and carrying a sword. She wondered for a second if she was hallucinating.

Then she remembered: No, this is Opaddeka and weird shit happens in Opaddeka.

She turned slightly to face him, adjusting the grip on her cane as if she was ready to stab him in the face with it. Even with that and Bunker snarling at him, he only put his hands up, "Woah, woah, I just wanted to ask you if you'd help me with something. No need to kill me like you killed that guy back there," even though Eisen couldn't see his mouth, she could tell he was grinning at her. She relaxed her grip only slightly on her cane, "What?"

"I got a job for you, huh? I need someone dead and I figured you'd be a good person to do it," he raised a hand before Eisen could say anything, "I'll just tell you what you need to know and that'll be it. No danger of too much information, and I'll even pay you. Though I'm sure money's not an issue for you."

"Keep taking," she said. There was a vague, primal sort of interest in all this. Also, she liked money.

"Here, have a map. It leads to a little house hidden in the woods, made up of a bunch of trees. I need this guy dead... but he knows me too well. He's all ready for me. So that's why I need someone else," Eisen noticed his facemask twitch, like he was smirking, "You just need to stab him with this. Simple, right? I'll give ya a thousand for it. Oh and it's poisoned so I wouldn't touch the sharp edge of the blade if I were you," he handed off a simple dagger in a sheath, which she took from him and looked it over. It was all laughably simple, though she wasn't too pleased with the fact that it was basically for chump change. She looked back up to protest, but he was gone, leaving the map behind on the ground.

"Well, shit," she looked down at the knife, and then reached down to scoop up the map, "Well, whatever, maybe this guy has something interesting in his house we can steal. Let's be sneaky about this and get it done quick," she said, and zipping down into fox form as she spoke. The knife seemed to disappear for now, but she took a good look at the map, and headed off to follow it.

Bunker and Coyote crept along with her, and they all stayed quiet as they followed the map through the forest, "Oh, there it is," Coyote said suddenly, landing and pointing with his wing.

The fox demon blinked; it wasn't exactly a house in the way she was expecting. The trees had been forced to grow together and had become intertwined. From a distance, it looked like nothing more then an overgrown knot of trees, but after some staring she could see that there was in fact a door knob in that piece of wood over there. It was quite clever and really well hidden, if she did say so herself.

"Alright, you two stay out here. I'm gonna sneak in," she whispered, and tip-toed over to the little house. Upon a quick inspection (running around/over the place) she discovered what the ninja had meant; all of the windows had traps on them, the roof was lined with spikes, and you couldn't hack through the walls even if you wanted to. She found herself sitting at the front door and contemplating it, all covered in moss and bits of dirt.

"A ninja would never just walk in the front door," she mumbled, and hopped up to twist the knob. To her surprise, it clicked open and she squeezed insice, "I can't believe that worked."

"Who's there?"

She froze, hunkering down as someone came from the end of the hallway and spotted her. It was just an old man, half bald with gray hair but a very neatly trimmed beard and mustache and clothes that while ancient looking, were at least clean and well pressed. Eisen wasn't exactly sure why anyone would want this guy dead, but...

He stopped when he saw Eisen, "Oh, some kind of pokemon. Come here little creature, I won't hurt you," he beckoned the fox closer, and after some hesitation she trotted over and allowed herself to be petted and picked up, "You're one of those new pokemon, huh? Well here, let's get you some food," he set her down on the table further on in the kitchen, and turned around to go get something for her. What ended up happening was he got a knife in the back: Eisen pulled the knife out of nowhere, out of the sheathe, and plunged it into his back with a leap. The momentum made the man fall forward, thumping on the ground and lying still.

"What happened!?" Bunker barked, busting inside. He'd been peering in the crack at the front door, too anxious to sit still a further distance away. The little fox hopped off of the guy and looked at him, "Huh? Oh, nothing. I think he's dead, though," she poked at the body while Coyote came in too, and landed on the table, "Oh hey, this bread looks good," he flapped over to a loaf sitting on the other end of the table, and Bunker hopped up on a chair to see what he was talking about and/or pig out on bread.

Eisen took a moment to root through the guy's house while they were busy, but didn't discover anything of any interest. He didn't even have any pokemon! She came back to the body and pulled the knife out, looking at it, at him, and then at Coyote and Bunker.

"I guess I could revive Abyss and he could eat him. Do you think the poison will hurt him?"

"Who cares."

"Yeah really."

"You two are so nice," she pulled out Abyss's ball and a max revive, "May as well drag the body outside and let him get to it."

Bunker dragged the dead man outside while Eisen revived the bloodthirsty dragon and called him out. She barely got out the word "Breakfast" before the dragon ducked his head down with a savage cackle. The woman/fox felt a feeling of slight disgust, but paid attention to make sure Abyss didn't get sick.

"Ah, see, that was easy."

She jumped over Bunker, and the three unoccupied ones looked to see that weird ninja guy from before watching Abyss chomp on the bones, "It would have taken me forever to get in."

"The front door was unlocked."

The man frowned, and turned to look, which ended up being his mistake. Eisen looked at Abyss, and pointed at the guy, snapping her jaws so hopefully he'd understand. He did, lunging and grabbing the ninja's neck in his jaws before he could turn around, "Don't kill him, Abyss! Not yet anyways."

The dragon turned around so they were facing Eisen now, and dragged the guy along with him. There was some kind of fear in his eyes; he knew what Abyss was capable of, and his mouth was wet with blood right now.

"Look. Easy as that was, I don't do things like that for nothing. Which, only a thousand is nothing to me," she tapped a paw on the ground, "So either you up the payment or give me something else to make all this worth my time. The guy had nothing interesting in his house, so that's not an option. And if you don't have anything, Abyss is going to snap your neck," she looked at the dragon, who growled eagerly.

"So," the fox smirked and Abyss tightened his grip, "What'll it be?"

And that was fun!

He only has 1k on him. If you want more (10k more) , it'll be at a drop point in Deepwood, but only if he leaves alive. You'll never see him again physically.

If he leaves alive, he leaves with your secret too which can't be magicked out of him.

Oh, he has a nifty ninja sword on him. I have no idea what kind, you pick.

You move onto the next area when you're done with him.

5 :ip for killing the paranoid old man.
3 :happiness to abyss becuase it couldn't be happier right now. You might want to put it on a diet. Humans are junk food.

"Woah, hold on now. I only have a thousand on me," he started, holding up his hands. Abyss tightened his grip as the little fox sighed, "But-" he hacked, "I have more in a deposit box in Deepwood. It's yours if you let me go."

Eisen looked at Abyss, who continued to look stone faced and angry. Of course the dragon wanted to murder the guy; that was just the way Abyss was. She sighed, and bobbed her nose at him, "Let him down, Abyss."

The dragon grumbled unhappily and opened his mouth, letting the ninja fall to the ground in a heap. He scrambled up and out from the dragon's shadow. The fox got his attention by tapping her feet, "So?"

"Here," he gasped, handing her a key and the roll of bills he had on him, "There's a lock box place in Deepwood. I'm sure you can find it. The number's on the key," he rubbed his neck, looking sideways at Abyss. Eisen took the key in her mouth and tucked it into her fur for later. Sure, she knew that by letting him go he could go tell someone about her, but... why. She'd killed someone for him, which got him in nearly as much trouble as it got her. Besides, he didn't even know her name. Who would believe that a little fox turned into a person and killed things?

Celeste doesn't count.

"Alright, get out of my face," she waved a paw at him, and he gratefully jumped and disappeared into the trees. She sighed a little.

"Well. Might as well look for that eevee. Bunker, nose to the ground, see if you can find us a lady eevee," she looked at the jolteon, who wagged his spike tail and put his nose to the ground. He didn't quite know what he was looking for, but perhaps if he smelled it, he'd know. No harm in trying, and as they sniffed around, the others could keep their eyes out.

So Eisen left Abyss out, and the dragon took to the sky to search too. They'd find an eevee at some point. Now that they were in the forest, they could take their time and look around some.

I'm assuming you didn't take the ability to move to the next area from the last mod here. *hums* Let's see...

Aerial search is a little less than effective, since Eevees don't live in treetops.
Bunker, on the other hand, picks up something promising after a bit of snooping around with his nose.
Following the scent he's found leads to a massive beehive full of Combees and Beedrills.
Damsel in distress time. Apparently an Eevee found the honey smell irresistible, and so went to try and steal some. The entire hive is now murdering her.
Take out the hive and save the Eevee if you like, including the Vespiquen Queen, who will come out as you decimate her forces. 150% damage dealt out amongst your pokemon from sheer numbers.
Save her, and the Eevee is yours. Eisen can also get some Honey afterwards.

I hope this is satisfactory... o.o

Eisen could hear Abyss grumbling up above as they searched, and she knew that the dragon wasn't too pleased with all this. Then again, he wasn't pleased very often at all, from what Eisen had seen so far. He couldn't see much, if anything at all, from above the trees, but it was easier for him to fly up there.

Bunker zigged and zagged across the forest floor, nose busily sniffing for anything he could find. Suddenly, his ears shot straight up, and he paused. "Oh. Huh." and then he was right back to leading them through the forest, with more purpose this time. Eisen looked at Coyote flying, but the bird didn't have anything to add.

A faint noise started up at some point, steadily getting louder in its annoyed buzzing. Above, Abyss suddenly bellowed, and Eisen heard him flap his wings harder as he disappeared from above, "I think he gets off on getting his ass kicked."

Coyote chuckled, landing on her shoulder and trying to listen. Bunker, with his much better hearing, stopped and jerked his head up, ears quivering. "Uh oh," he said before racing off, straight towards the buzzing. Eisen just let him go, and didn't even bother sighing, "Come on."

They pushed through the trees, the buzzing getting louder until a beedrill swooped too close to Eisen for comfort. She jerked away from its stinger as it zoomed past, and Coyote swooped after in pursuit.

The source of the buzzing and the chaos became immediately obvious, for between two trees Eisen could see a waxy, gigantic, yellowish lump, suspended from the branch of one massive tree. It looked like a huge hive hanging from a huge tree.

And there were a lot of damn bees around it.

"Pchoo. That's a lot of bees," Eisen studied the scene, and saw that Bunker was defending a fluffy brown and white creature who was being mobbed by bees, "Oh, an eevee," she looked up, seeing Abyss chomping at more combees flying around his head, his jaws on fire. There were way more bees then they could even deal with, though, and she thought she saw more in the hive.

"This is a stupid fight. Let's distract these stupid things," she called out her last pokemon, Jack Noir, and kneeled down behind a tree with him, "Jack, I need you to scale that tree and hack that branch, where the beehive is. That should distract them enough that we could get away. Or at least kill a bunch of them, whatever. Can you d-" she stopped when Jack suddenly darted away. He had a damn tree to climb.

She shook her head, and looked back at all the fighting. Her own pokemon were mostly doing well, but there were just way too many bees. Abyss couldn't cover all sides at once, and kept getting jabbed by beedrill and bitten by combees. Mighty gusts from his wings cut down a few bees at once, but it didn't seem to change anything. Bunker, powerful as he was, was tearing down the smaller combees with every shockwave, but the beedrill were more resilient. He was also trying to defend the smaller eevee, who looked pretty hurt. Eisen hoped it was a female, because she really didn't want to do this again. She got a great ball out, and snuck closer to the action.

Up above in the tree, Jack had scaled it with some careful Aerial Aces and his claws, and was now hacking at the branch and trying to fend off the zombie bug hordes. He had a few tricks, but he was really trying to hack through this branch. He had more poison tolerance then the others, at least.

Then there was Coyote, who was fast and a bird. He crunched happily on the remains of a combee, savoring its sweet flavor, as he launched another slash of air at another. Bugs: Ha.

Once Eisen thought she was close enough, she pitched the great ball at the furball right as Jack finally jumped on the branch to snap it, just as the vespiquen emerged and floated down. She got caught by the hive as it fell. Jack squalled and leapt back to the tree and dug his claws in, turning his head to watch.

The hive hit the ground and both shattered and splattered at the same time, breaking up into pieces with gooey honey splattering on the ground. Even the bees were quiet for a second, staring in buggy horror.

"Run!" Coyote squawked, turning and taking wing. Bunker turned and bolted too, followed by Eisen and finally Jack getting down from the tree and bolting after them. Eisen got Abyss's attention and climbed on the dragon, and they all ran like little girls.

Hey man, bees are scary.

Reached Moss Rock

A great big Snorlax is propped against Moss Rock taking a snooze. Will ignore you unless you wake or attack him. Is catchable but only by force. Will take at least three balls to capture and will deal 100% damage to battling pokemon, enough to faint one pokemon, but can divide it among several. Is also holding Leftovers.

At some point they stopped running like their butts were on fire, and Eisen hopped back down to the ground only after they came to a stop in a clearing. Eisen sighed and leaned against the giant rock that was sitting there, not noticing her hand sink into the 'rock' an inch or so.

"That was harrowing."

"No shit. You get her?" Coyote landed on the ground nearby, tucking his wings in and roosting for a bit. Eisen looked in her hand, seeing the great ball she'd nearly forgotten about in her haste to get away, "Yup. Great," she rolled it between both hands, "Should make sure she's alri-"

"Snooooooooooooooore~"

Eisen slowly turned her head, Coyote and Jack jumping away nearby when they all realized the same thing: That wasn't a rock, it was a snorlax. Sleeping, dead to the world.

"Laaaaaaaax."

"God damn why can't I sleep like that," she prodded the giant bear-thing in the side, but he was intent on sleeping and completely ignoring them. She continued until she got bored of it not doing anything, and actually look a look at where they were. The sleeping pokemon was propped up against a rock covered in moss, and the rest of the clearing had patches of moss on the ground as well. It was very... earthy. Eisen looked back at the great ball, "May as well let her out, huh?"

Bunker perked up, having made a wish to patch up his wounds and waiting for it to kick in. He trotted over to see, spike tail wagging. Abyss was laying nearby, watching the snorlax intently, as if he was waiting for it to do something. Coyote went and sat on the giant pokemon's belly, looking around for something, while Jack went and sat on the mossy rock, resting his head in his claws. They were all a little tired from running for their lives and everything. Well maybe it wasn't that serious, but it felt like it at the time.

Eisen opened the pokeball, spilling the beat up little furball onto a patch of soft moss. She flailed until she righted herself, looking around wildly. Upon seeing no bees, or no other danger, she looked at Eisen, then at Bunker.

"Hi!" she chirped, running over to Bunker and trotting around him, "Who are you?"

"I'm Bunker."

Eisen was watching them, oblivious to half of the conversation, "She needs a name, huh?" she watched the little pokemon as she stopped and looked at Eisen, but actually saw past her and to the mossy rock, where Jack... suddenly wasn't anymore.

"Oh hey, I was looking for this when I got distracted! Finally! she ran over, and put her paws up on it, suddenly starting to glow. When it stopped, there was a leafeon there instead of an eevee. But right away Eisen could tell that something was off. She was pure, untainted white instead of creamish, and her leaves and eyes were bright jade green.

"Pchoo... How about Gaia? Seems fitting," she watched the pokemon as she came back over, looking from Eisen, to Bunker, to Abyss, and back again. Her leaf tail flicked and she thought about it.

"Hmmmm, okay! I don't see why not. But!" she ran over to Bunker, and put her paws up on his side, "We have to find my brother too! And then my other friends! Please?" she gave Bunker a sweet look, and he immediately turned his head to translate to Eisen. The fox woman laughed.

"Sure, we'll go find your brother. Another eevee, right?"

"Nope! He's a fluffy, derpy, windy thing!"

Bunker translated this a little dubiously, and Eisen was at a loss for about two seconds.

"Yeah, ok, as long as you can recognize him, sure."

Meanwhile!

Coyote had listened and watched for a little while, but he quickly got bored. So he hopped around the squishy snorlax's belly, bouncing back and fourth until he came upon a roll of fat. Curious, he pried part of it down with a talon, and frowned. Was... was that an apple core? No... he pried it out. Leftovers!

"I don't even want to know how this works," he mumbled, inspecting it. Really, this kind of thing it was better not to think about. Putting it in his beak, he hopped back into the conversation.

"Guess we'll start looking then," she looked at Coyote, spotting him with the apple core in his mouth, "What is that?"

"Leftovers," he flapped over and dropped it into Eisen's hand, "Could be useful. Now what are we looking for?" he hovered near the leafron, who smiled, "We're looking for my brother! He's a windy thing," she explained, turning and trotting back towards the forest.

Eisen looked at the leftovers, at the snorlax, and then finally down to see Jack. He'd snuck around and stayed out of the leafeon's sight, and now tapped his ball on Eisen's belt to suck himself back inside. She didn't even get the chance to ask him why.

"...alright, whatever," she shook her head, pocketed the leftovers, and followed after Coyote, Gaia and Bunker, with Abyss trailing behind Eisen.

1 Happiness to the e1vee/leafeon

You move into the next landmark.
Cotonee are prolific little bastards. you're going to find three. One is obtainable - easy capture meaning one pokeball/befriendable
There are two scyther trying to eat the little fluff balls. One is obtainable - Hard capture meaning three pokeball/not befriend-able.

One more thing. There is a golden dressing mirror sitting in the middle of a clearing somewhere. You look into it and see someplace else. If you try to touch it, the surface ripples. It can magically teleport you to the place you see. It's a one way mirror though, no going back. And you climb out of a tree trunk on the other end.

"He shoooould be around here somewhere. I was with him right before I got distracted!" Gaia chirped, meandering along ahead of them in a wobbly line. She had purpose to it, though, checking under bushes and up in tree branches as they walked along. Bunker translated for her, still padding along behind her and in front of Eisen. The fox woman was wondering why Jack would suddenly recall himself for seemingly no reason. Unless the new little monster had something to do with it...

"Aah!"

"Oh, I think that's him."

Three flying balls of fluff exploded through the trees, screaming their heads off as the trees crashed and shuddered behind them. One of the cottonee floated to a stop in midair when he saw them, and blinked when he saw the leafeon bound over to him, "Hey!"

"Hey!" he floated over to them, only for the trees to explode with two bladed bugs, screeching with the thrill of the hunt. They looked at the single cottonee floating there with the leafeon, since the other two hadn't stopped and were fleeing through the trees a bit further away...

"Rawr!" Bunker jumped over Gaia to stand between them and the two scyther, bristling with electricity and snarling. The scyther pair paused, looking from Bunker to Eisen, who had crossed her arms and was giving the pair a look. Coyote and Abyss were also looming with her, the dragon growling softly.

They wisely continued onwards as quickly as they could, following the other two cottonee. One would be enough of a meal for them, if they could catch them. Smarter then getting killed by a dragon and a thunder dog.

"Are the wild pokemon getting smarter, or is that just me?" Eisen looked at Coyote, who shrugged. Smart pokemon fled if they didn't want to deal with a trainer, which meant less experience... but Eisen didn't mind that so much.

"Oh, I'm glad we found you! What happened?" Gaia trotted around the cottonee happily as he floated somehow above the ground with tiny little occasional flaps of his... ears? Eisen was staring at the little thing and wondering how it hovered like that. Jsegi pokemon sure were weird!

"Oh man! I got caught up running away from those sword-things with those other windy things. So crazy! We should have fought them off, but it didn't seem like a good idea," he turned and looked at Eisen's lot, since Bunker was still translating the two pokemon, "Hi! Who are you guys?"

"This iiiis... well this one is named Bunker," Gaia swished her tail, and everyone else introduced themselves finally. Eisen had to introduce Abyss, since the dragon only wanted to grumble. "And they've been calling me Gaia. They'll prolly give you a weird name too," she whispered. He fluttered his ear-leaf-things in a shrug, and floated over to Eisen, who held her hands up to catch him, "Well, wanna come with us? You'll be safe and you two will stick together, at least."

"Sure, I guess! Jade seems to like you guys, anyways. What about Dave and Rose?" he looked over Eisen's hands at Gaia, who shrugged, "She said she'd help us find them! So I guess we'll just have to see.

Eisen tossed the windy fluffball in her hands a few times, not very hard since she was just doing it for lack of anything else to do, "I think I'll call you... Zephyrus. Since you're a windy thing and all,"

'Zephyrus' giggled, and fluttered into the air, "Sure, I guess! Where are we going?"

"Deepwood, I think. This way," she pointed, and they started through the thick trees again. No sooner had they started, that they came across a clearing, with... a big mirror? Curious, they headed over to it, "The hell is this doing out here?" Eisen looked in, but it didn't show her reflection... it showed a town that she didn't recognize. Curious, she reached out to touch it, and jerked her hand away when it rippled.

"That looks like Deepwood," Bunker said, looking into the mirror. Eisen debated the thing for a second, "Are you sure?"

"Pretty sure," he leaned side to side, trying to get a better view, "Jolt and I have been there before."

Eisen pondered it a bit more. Weird things didn't really phase her so much anymore, but she was still careful about what she just dove headfirst into. All things considered, this one seemed harmless at least. She didn't want all her pokemon diving through it, though. Abyss wouldn't fit anyways. "Aw, what the hell, let's try it. Back in the balls, folks," she withdrew Abyss, then Gaia and got a great ball for Zephy, leaving her with only Coyote and Bunker. The jolteon hopped through ahead of Eisen, who stepped through shortly after. Reality wavered, and they were suddenly somewhere that they hadn't been three seconds ago.

"Yup, this is Deepwood," Bunker wagged his tail and looked at Eisen. The woman was peering at the tree behind them, which was... just a tree.
