Damn...where'd you guys go?

You moved forward one. You also got ambushed by a great big mole. He totally kicked your ass.

What was he doing here? Santiago had always considered himself one of the Bad guys. He cheated, he stole, and most of all the man was truly quite selfish. Not usually the traits of somebody who'd volunteer to come fight on the battle field. Though, here he was... and every second he stood here the man was kicking himself in his own ass.

"Man what the fuck. I was crazy to come get killed out here," Santiago grumbled. He was wearing his usually civilian clothes, but had been thrown in an OME unit. It wasn't until they'd placed him right on the front lines that he understood the gravity of the situation... and the true cruelty of war hadn't even shown it's ugly head on the battlefield yet. In his hand, the man held tightly onto his pistol. He'd need it today.

By his side was his trusty companion Zippo. The Charmander was looking all around, and really didn't quite understand what was going on here. Santiago had told him nothing except, "We don't have another chance, so don't fuck this up." It was something that really put a little fear in the lizard. No second chances? It was either Win or what? Death?!?!?!

The man looked around for whoever was supposed to be his commanding officer. "Guys, I have no fucking clue what to do right now..." He wasn't a military man, he was completely lost as to what to do on the battlefield when the enemy was right on their doorstep. Sure, he'd seen the movies but there was always someone in command. Santiago figured he'd stick as close to his unit as he could, and maybe kill an invader or two. After-all they were nothing but Heathens. Destroying cities, and burning them to the ground. If they didn't stop them... who would? It would be the ending of his home region as he knew it! Ah yes.... THAT is why he showed up. With a new sense of resolve the man gripped his gun, and prepared to move out. Santiago was totally ready to get his kill on now!

For reference, My charrie has his Charmander out, and is carrying a Semi-Automatic Pistol(1-10 DAM) +1 :ip

(Sorry, I took so long and starting off slowly. I'm still trying to sink everything in))

Log
- Neither pokemon has power-up abilities or attacks, but Zigzagoon has PickUp.
- Rubin is moving left (towards Mana (Alexandra)'s area)

IC (hello from B3!):

"Really? P-pokemon?" Rubin thought out loud when he heard a message through his round-shaped handheld transceiver.

Since he was young, and since it was his first time facing a real battle, Rubin would of course be filled with dread. To make matters worse was the fog encompassing him and the entire valley. His vision was crippled, and he couldn't see what was in front of him, behind him, or beside him. He wasn't even sure if he could seek out the flying ice pokemon.

Rubin had his trusty Spearow and Treecko on his shoulders, but that did not completely wash away the fact that he could be killed. However, for him to be here showed that he was brave enough. It still felt like the movies to Rubin, good versus evil, where people fought for justice. Ever since Rubin acquired pokemon, and heard on the news about the destroyed towns, he felt a sense of duty. He gained some confidence and thought that he could contribute to his home nation's prosperity.

A gulp fell down the rookie's throat, and he slowly advanced through the fog. His Zigzagoon was in front of him, nose to the ground.

Time to go to war... and Albion had a mixed contingent of naval personnel, some other to provide advice... and civilians. He'd been saddled with a bunch of civvies for this. What... just... just what. Albion was not pleased by all of this and he'd have to corral them.

And they'd be following orders. If they didn't, well. The squire on the Rapidash would not be pleased. His sword was drawn, and on top of his mount he looked absolutely regal. He didn't look like the kind to take anyone's shit.

"Platoon! Follow orders and we'll get along just fine," he boomed. Yeah, listen to the dude trained to kill people. It's a good idea in the middle of a war.

"Forwaaaaaaaard!" he said, pointing his blade towards the thick fog. Right now, he didn't much care for the individuals. First, to get them moving. Then, he'd see. "Stay close to me!"

How the woman had acquired her current outfit was still confusing her. The boots were fine, and definately a leg up from her usual wear. But the shorts and one piece almost looking top? And a cape? She wasn't sure when she'd changed into that. Then again, how she'd ended up on the on the front lines of a misty war front was still confusing the hell out of her too. Alex glanced around, taking note of one rather uptight looking man on a Rapidash (on a high horse if you asked her) and two other boys who looked scared out of their panties.

She snorted. Scared out of their panties. That was a good one.

Alex pulled her mane of purple hair up and into a ponytail as she started forward. The only one she had out with her was Luaith, the crabby little Cyndaquil who protected her like she was more than just his Trainer. She somewhat wished she had a weapon herself, instead of just her Pokemon.

Then again, it was improbable she'd be doing any real fighting anyway. Luaith gave a noise and she hushed him, understanding his groan. "Hush, and lets see what happens," she said softly. Fear tugged at her heart, but if she was going to go after the Legendary sky serpent, fear was not something she could dwell on.

Her eyes flicked to the man on the fire horse again and she inwardly groaned. He was one of those types, wasn't he? Great.... just what she needed. Two whimps, an overly chivarlrise one, and whoever the hell the rest of the guys were.

She really could use a hand blaster right now...

Summary:
- Alex is following Albion's orders, Luaith perched on her shoulder.

Sanitago saw everyone else in his platoon show up, and felt a little bit more confident. He and his squad were right on the front lines, and the man in charge on the Rapidash was yelling to go forward. Shit. This is what he thought was going to happen! He grasped his pistol tightly, and began to march forward into the mist ahead. Zippo tagged behind, somewhat illuminating the area, but not making the visibility a bit better.

"Man I can't see anything out here!" The man yelled, his gun up and pointed out towards the mist. They were marching forward towards an enemy they could not see, and he wasn't really ready for battle, but ain't no better time like now right?
====================================
-moving forward with the rest of his unit and Zippo is coming too. Pistol's out, and other pokemon are safely in their balls for now.

- Nothing at all, just following orders. Rubin's pokemon are alright.
- Zigzagoon has Pickup
- No stat boots

IC (B3!):
The fog may have shielded the eyes, but not the ears. There were explosions; through the radio, the conversation between the troops really confirmed the danger. Rubin looked (?) around to see the rest of the platoon and brought his handheld receiver (HHRC) up to his ear. This was sounding more and more like a military movie, and the boy's eyes widened with tension. He was like a boy in the back, listening to the stats of the battle. "One of ours" He heard, along with screams.

Was someone dying? Rubin bit down on his lip. He adjusted his HHRC to speak to the guy on his horse, "Sir, where to next? What to do?" The boy asked his commander.

- Asking M3 to shine light from D3 to A3 (or the other way around)...

=====

(Back. Hello from A3)

"Gwaah...!"

In war, and especially in the midst of thick fog, there was much confusion. While his platoon progressed forward, Rubin would listen in on the radio about what's been happening, and it all became clear to him when a mole (An excadrill?) attacked the platoon. It happened very quickly, apparently immobilizing the group and forcing it to retreat.

Now Albion's team was back to start lifted via Huey chopper to the back and away from danger.

Rubin disembarked from the Huey and breathed a few times, falling onto his rump next to his pokemon. He really just had a close call. Treecko realized the pressure that the boy felt and walked up to his trainer, patting him on his back. No matter what, the reptile sustained his composed face.

Rubin turned his head south and saw an army man with the rifle.

"Heeeey, can you shoot over here?" He called out to the soldier.

"Are you kidding kid? Not in this mist." the soldier said.

"If only we could see where they are." Rubin leaned his head into his hand. He was now in a thinking posture. He was not a soldier or a strategist, he had somewhat of an idea on how strong some of the enemy was, and he wanted to give OME his best even if he was a citizen volunteer.

Young Rubin tightened both hands around his radio and spoke,

"Um, hello. This is Albion's Platoon. Can we have a light or something please? I think from..." He paused to think for a few seconds, "Truck? Van?"

"Hello? Van?" The volunteer civilian soldier shook his receiver nervously. The boy was scared, but deep inside he seriously wanted to participate in the safety of his homeland.

Even though the front lines was clouded in thick mist, Rubin could hear massive intermittent explosions from missiles and pokemon attacks. From those sounds, the boy could only imagine what nasty battle was going on ahead. The situation sounded grave even though he was lounging around in the back, sitting down on his rump as if waiting for an opportunity to get back into battle. Rubin didn't understand military strategies but knew only to follow his commanding officer with the Rapidash, so he couldn't rush in recklessly like some crazy hero from a comic or cartoon. He was too well aware that he had a big chance of being killed.

Finally, there was an order to move. Rubin listened in on the other soldiers's voices,

"Retreat!"

"Everyone get out of the valley!"

The first words made Rubin's eyebrows raise in curiosity. Around his platoon, pokemon and man began to scramble as if something was coming. A soldier with a rifle took Rubin's arm and pulled him off from the ground.

"Come on kid! Let's get out here before we're crisp."

"Crisp?" Rubin asked while following him.

Then, everyone screamed. The ground raged, rendering every human and small ground pokemon off their feet including Rubin. Treecko rushed up to his trainer and patted the boy's leg to get his attention. Rubin looked down and saw the lizard pointing to his pokeballs.

"Oh, right!" Rubin said, nodding his head. Before resuming retreat, he recalled Treecko, Zigzagoon, and Spearow back into their pokeballs.
