Now let's begin the carnage.

16.5 :ffexp on Lotus (11 levels), levels from 5 to 16, 0.0/1.5.
2 :happiness applied.
7.5 Modding GenXP on Lotus (5 levels), levels from 16 to 21, 0.0/1.5. Lotus evolves into a Gloom. 21.0 Modding GenXP left.
Applying Leaf Stone to Lotus. Lotus evolves into Vileplume.
Advanced moves are Petal Dance and Solarbeam.
Collecting Mod Shop egg moves of Ingrain and Synthesis.
And that's all for Lotus! Hooray.

Depositing 600z into the bank. Bank days are Saturdays, hooray.

Obtaining first TM from TM House.

Planting Green Apricorn, Belue Berry and Custap Berry into pots with Growth Mulch and putting 'em in the greenhouse. Starting counters now.

"It suits you," remarked the psychic as she stood in line at the Technical Machine house. The form of her friend had changed dramatically after their little jaunt at what was now Berry Good Florists - the little Oddish had rapidly changed into a Gloom, and not wanting to leave her only friend in such a horribly-stinky form, purchased a Leaf Stone and had her evolve into a Vileplume. Needless to say, Lotus was happy about this change.

"I like the petals... so soft! And they catch all the sun to protect my face!" remarked back the flower-headed Lotus, who poked once at the canopy above her head. She'd have to get used to the change, but it was certainly a welcome one.

Their standing in line was only dictated by the necessity of a full city; with so many troops here to collect supplies, places like this were always full. Hopefully there would be something useful left that the two of them could collect, and after that, they'd just have to see what they did. There was a lot of work yet to be done, and Felicity and Lotus intended to do it. They had to build up so much. After this little jaunt, they could head outside and find themselves a nice wild Pokémon to fight, or something. Clean up the city a little. Who knew?

I haven't really gotten all of the details of your freeform in my mind, so uhh take this Torment TM and 0.3 :gexp2

Either way, there was nary a Pokemon soul in sight as you made your way through Kevin Baconville. The populace of the city has mostly left for Corona Island, leaving behind a partially ghost city with some few shops scattered here and there. It also seemed that the wild Pokemon has left as well, although to where is anybody's guess. The Jgsei presence in nearby Brightopolis also contributed to the tensions in the atmosphere. Something needs to be done with them.

But what can one psychic florist do against an entire army of Jgsei warriors with Pokemon that are more superior to the ones living in Oppaddeka? That's not the point of this mod though, is it?

Anyways, simply strolling around will get you nothing in terms of wild Pokemon showing up in any way. Seems like you should put forth more effort in locating some since it seems that most of them has left Baconville.

Felicity's wandering of the city was ultimately fruitless. The waiting in line at the TM House procured a technical machine that was of no use to her, which was immediately sold back to the appropriate parties for the sum of one thousand and five hundred zenny. It was money to keep on hand and, hopefully, keep lying around for rainy days. She did need to keep track of her cash, after all.

However, that was that. There was nothing here... and yet, she needed to stay here as long as she could. Indeed, Felicity had a fair amount of work to do, all things considered, and she intended to get it all done. First, however, was blowing off steam.

"I am bored out of my petals, Felicity. Find me something to do!" demanded Lotus, who was fed up with walking around and seeing a grand total of nothing. It was time to try and step it up, mused the psychic. There had to be something... or someone... to hurt... and then it hit her. The Fighting Ring. There were always dumb trainers there looking for a quick fight.

So, she took Lotus right down to the Fighting Ring, knowing that there'd have to be a trainer there somewhere. That was the whole point of the place.

With a foreign nation occupying the nearest town, very little really was available inside the city. There were the stubborn as hell people, who refused to leave the city, joined amongst the few older people that had already given up so much of their hometown to Team Rocket and the forces of evil that they weren't going to abandon their little slices of sanctuary. However, for the most part, they were few and far between, and even then, they had no business being out on the streets right now. There was no reason to.

And yet, there was a very awkward, borderline disturbing presence in the air. It felt like it was everywhere, and yet, no where. All at once. Do not be mistaken, it wasn't a figment of imagination. A being of as immense psychic potental as Felicity should certainly be able to realize what is real and what is in her head. That doesn't necessarily apply to Lotus however...

The lights to the Fighting Ring were all turned off, and while the building had no visible damage to it, it was giving off a very freaky vibe. A small sign on the door would tell trainers, Felicity included, that due to the evacuation efforts, the Fighting Ring was closed for the foreseeable future. Not like that would stop her. There was something almost mystical urging the pair inside.

Sitting inside was a boy, barely a man really, who seemed at first place to be about the same age as Felicity. His obviously blonde hair was poorly dyed black, and he wore a very disturbing black t-shirt with a flaming Cacnea on it. His baggy, black pants were adorned in chains, and he wore black fingernail polish, lipstick, and eyeliner. Yep, this kid fashioned himself a goth.

"Ah, I see you brought me some company," he said, seemingly to Felicity. He was clearly staring at her, seizing her up both as a potental opponent, and as an attractive specimen of the opposite sex. However, the way he was speaking would suggest that he was speaking to the unseen force in the air, like it really was responsible for their presence there. In a crackle and dim blanket of billowing fog, the force revealed itself to be a very real figure from Felicity's past. Floating in the air behind the boy was now a demonic looking Spiritomb. Not the same one that her father used to employ against her without her knowledge or consent, mind you, but still a very haunting image from her past.

"The name is Drake," the Goth boy said as he pushed his bangs out of his eyesight. "What is a pretty young creature like yourself doing in the city now?" He ran his fingers gingerly (and creepily) over a pokeball, Spiritomb's presumably. "No matter. What do you say to a battle? My friend here needs to feed."

Step by step, Felicity followed her mind. The power that pulsated within her powerful psychic brain was such that she knew, she could feel, that there was a presence of absolute power nearby. And it was... it was a dark one. One insidious and insipid, that almost felt like it was an all-pervasive being aiming to invade her psyche. Such transgressions were not allowed. Her mind was sacred, pure territory; any who tried to enter it via telepathy and interfaces on the astral level were destroyed.

When that door swung open to reveal the gothic young man, and his minion, the psychic stood still barely two steps in the door, and froze. That was a Spiritomb's presence that she'd followed. Its ghostly, mind-entering powers were ferocious and terrifying, and a vision of many of her nightmares. In fact, she'd seen this unsightly being so many times in her life that she knew what it was capable of. She knew, without any hesitation, what it could do to her. Hell, her early life had been plagued by one of these demons. Fear rose in her body, but she shook that debilitating emotion off and turned it into something useful - rage.

Her face went white. Her body started to shake and her left fist clenched tightly, finely-cured nails starting to dig into the flesh of her palm and bit in. There was no doubt in her mind as to the next course of action, for without it, she would be destroyed. Memories of her childhood flashed back before her eyes - every terror-filled moment as the Spiritomb which had been the overbearing guardian had prevented her powers, and her mother's powers, from working in its presence. No. It had to die, a horrible painful death.

Felicity turned to Lotus, and the Vileplume looked back, curiosity in the creature's eyes. She had never seen such fire in the hazelnut orbs of her trainer, and the want for destruction burned slowly in the Vileplume's body. Whatever she wanted... oh, it was going to be delicious.

"Kill them both," Felicity uttered through clenched teeth. The Vileplume smiled, a wicked smile of inhumane torture. Oh yes. It would be delicious... the sights and sounds of human suffering were bliss to her senses. Lotus would relish every last second of this. However, to do it, she didn't want them to be awake. Oh no. It was time to kill them in their sleep, and let their final moments be the waking realisation of the death that was consuming them.

Green powder fired out of the gap in the Vileplume's flowery top, followed by green light filling the skies behind it. Yes, it was time to see how this Spiritomb enjoyed its own energies being used against it.

.3 Happy Valentine's Day!

Lotus went to do what she was the expert on, killing things through grass related tragedies, when something incredibly pecular happened. All of a sudden, appearing out of no where from the corners of the gym, a little squardron of Luvdisc appeared out of nowhere, swimming through the air all around the two trainers and their pokemon. Lotus stopped her attack for the moment, completely puzzled as to what was going on, and Spiritomb looked generally scared of the creatures.

"Wh-wha-what!? Luvdisc?!?" Hissed Drake, completely astounded by the appearence of the aquatic pokemon. "This...this must be a trick! Spiritomb, use Dark Pulse!"

Spiritomb panicked and attacked the nearest floating monstrousity, hitting in squarely in the mouth. The group of Luvly Luvdisc stopped, taken temporarily off guard, and then all five of them shot little adorable streams of water at the ghostly pokemon.

"Augh!" Drake yelled, pulling his arm over his head to guard him. "The power of Love! I can't win!" He promptly recalled his pokemon into it's containment, then ran out the Fighting Ring like a little girl.

But hey, at least there are now some Luvdisc! And some of them are even holding notes and candy and stuff.

...

"...What the fuck?"

Needless to say, Felicity was surprised, taken aback and angry all at once. She'd been denied her chance to trash this dude. Lotus was practically insulted at this infraction of politeness, having been preparing a Solarbeam for her next move. Charging up one of those meant that she was either going to have to let it out or go and loose all that energy, which was bad. It was never a good thing to have charged up a Solarbeam. It was like getting blue balls. And nobody likes those.

Then, it struck Lotus. She could use it.

Can I kill them instead? she asked Felicity mentally.

Felicity, meanwhile, was absolutely taken back by all this. This shit was insane to the max; there was going to have to be something going on here that could explain this. She was going to have to find out what was going on, and then crush whoever's genius idea it was to interrupt her in the middle of a fight. Mostly because, well, they needed it. This transgression was unbearable.

Sure. In fact, do it. And get that Heart Scale for me.

The Vileplume licked her lips, her flower glowing angrily; if the massive beam of energy couldn't hit them, then she'd go for the roof. And, of course, blow a hole in the roof big enough to drop the masonry on the five Luvdisc, which would all be crushed under the weight of falling rocks. After all, when rocks fell, everyone died. That prospect excited both of them. Could Lotus bring down part of this building on them and take them all out at once?

The beam launched, aimed over the heads of the Luvdisc. Felicity and Lotus waited patiently.

0.3 :gexp2 Kinda surprised that nobody got to this. Oh well, this'll be a crappy mod.

The problem with Solarbeam is that it takes some time to recharge. The school of Luvdisc, unaware of their impending doom, darted forth to plant kisses on the petals of the corpse flower. The multiple kisses had the unfortunate effect of managing to confuse Lotus. She faltered a bit upon this sudden show of love, but managed to shake it off momentarily to fire a Solarbeam at, apparently, the school of Luvdisc swimming above her.

The fish panicked and scrambled to get out of the way. They bunched up together a wee bit away from Lotus, only to look up at the sound of crumbling. The roof caved too quickly for them to react. The school got crushed underneath that pile of rock, just as you expected. Unfortunately for you, that :heartscale also got buried underneath all that rubble. You could try to get it out of there, but I doubt that it would be intact. -2 :fp for destroying the ceiling of the Fighting Ring.

Lotus gains 4.0 :exp . I actually calculated this out, so take it.

The building was vacated, so there's nothing that you could do here. Oh well, move on, I guess?

Felicity looked at Lotus as they both casually left the Fighting Ring, both wordless for a few moments as they crossed the threshold to look back at the carnage they'd left. The psychic florist stared at thde rubble and desecration, and nodded slowly. This was good - this was what she'd been looking for in her partner, and she'd found it. Who wouldn't want to be friends with someone who could cause wanton destruction at will?

"Stupid Luvdiscs. Pretty, but stupid," commented Lotus as she shook her petals out. "Did you see that? They tried to kiss me. Me! Like I was some form of common trash!"

"And that you most certainly are not, my pretty little friend," replied Felicity, stroking the large red flower with the back of her hand. In silence, they walked off, intending to go and do a few things before the situation got any worse. There was a lot they had to do that day, including go back to work and earn a little bit more survival money.

That was, of course, after a quick stop at the Pokémon Centre in which Lotus could heal and revive her senses. After that was done, well. They were going to have to go and find something to do out in the city. Maybe something would come along if they wandered enough.

All that death and destruction surely was a good thing for dear Lotus and her amazing trainer Felicity. Of course, it would be obvious that not everyone would find the young psychic's actions to be all wonderful and amazing. In fact, that roof that Lotus had caved in using her Solar Beam was a home to various bird Pokemon. Lovely! Felicity made some silly little birds homeless. Chalk up another evil deed for the day to make her feel good about herself. Oh wait, what of those bird Pokemon you say?

Yeah, they weren't all that happy.

Floating above Felicity and Lotus, flapping their wings angrily were two Pidgey as well as a Pidgeotto. They weren't saying too much other than tweeting and chattering quite annoyingly. Darn things. They didn't seem to be fond of Lotus though. The Pidgeotto swooped down, barely missing the fully evolved flower whilst the two Pidgey followed suit and swarmed down at the flower only to rejoin their leader up in the skies.

That was a warning dive apparently, because they all were getting ready to do it again and this time they probably weren't going to barely miss Lotus, or be as 'nice' about it either.

I can't win this, Lotus commented mentally to Felicity. She knew when she was outmatched - three powerful birds meant that there was going to be a serious fight on her hands, and Lotus wasn't really ready for a real fight like this just yet.

Are you sure? I could try turning the tables-

No. Don't. Just recall me and get us out of here.

Felicity shook her head at Lotus' conviction. If she didn't want to fight, then she didn't have to. After all, Felicity certainly cared about her opinion. Their bond was a shared friendship, even if neither of them would admit it to being as such. The instruction was duly followed. A Poké Ball was fished out of a pants pocket and the Vileplume's flowery form recalled. With that, Felicity left the area, ducking around a building to avoid the trio of birds to ignore them. This was not the fight she was looking for.

Before she could take a break, though, there were some things she had to do. A quick trip to the bank was the first of them. Then some lunch, and finally a chance to rest in the Pokémon Centre, and relax.

Everything was going according to design.

What happened next was a mystery for many in the Pokémon Centre to see. Suffice to say, however, Felicity acquired a new ally, and that ally was Terror incarnate. The world quaked in fear as the name of destruction incarnate whispered upon the winds:

Abyss.

So saying, Lotus and Abyss were wary of one another for now, but there was no need to contemplate such things. Felicity and her two companions were ready for travelling, even if she was now poor and lacking many critical supplies for the long journey that they would need to one day make. However, there was something else that was required - a battle. Strength. Training. They needed to crush their opponents, and quickly; anything they could use to become stronger would be needed immediately.

However, in this husk of a city, a city wrecked by war and the power vacuum that she had herself created... well. Perhaps it was time to start filling that vacuum. Felicity took her two companions walking with her, heading into the worst part of town. The place festering with corruption and violence - the place where she could do the most damage to this town's ruptured criminal underworld. And, of course, install herself in. There were no doubt forces already on the move to take its power, but... She could claim it for her own, should she will.

So, she went, her two minions behind her. She could find criminals. Beat them down. After all, they'd be providing the OME with some resistance still here. Under the cover of blackest night, the criminals came out to play. If she could find them... well, perhaps they'd try and fight her. And then, truly, she could start staking her claim in Kevin Baconville.

The time was now.

Funny thing about looking for trouble. It was actually a little harder to do when you were actaully looking for it. Criminals tended to sidestep the people who looked like they belonged in a place and go for the ones who looked a bit lost. Still, with a bit of perserverance, and a good sense of where the shady districts were, one could always rustle up some activity.

And what do you know? Here's your first break. As you pass an alleyway in the blasted northern districts, you spot movement, and hear a tinkle of glass. A second glance reveals a couple of thugs in the process of breaking into the back of a store, most likely to do some looting. They're probably not very important in the grand scale of things... but they might have some connections to other criminals. And those criminals might have connections deeper in the city's underground. If you wanted to start carving out a piece of the city for yourself, you'd need to attract some attention first, yeah?

And here we go.

Felicity was already looking at these two, sizing them up, judging their intelligence by probing their minds; it was... well, she wasn't pleased with what she saw. They were trying to sneak into the back end of the shop, which meant common criminals. Common trash. But they were the best in her mind, for they could be manipulated.

"Lotus."

The Vileplume nodded, and powered her petals up - so that she could shoot a Solarbeam directly at the two criminals. Abyss was instructed to hold back, for the moment. His chance to sacrifice to the Ruinous Powers would come soon enough. If this hurt them, or killed them, that was not her concern. She wanted them to be hurt, to be terrified and angry. She wanted them to be against her so that she could break their minds completely to her way of thinking. A glorious victory, it would be.

Let the shopkeeper think she was helping. She'd kill him in a heartbeat if she had to.

First, however, to see how this went, and then to handle the repercussions.

The crooks were none too bright. Well, they were canny, and street-smart, but they were small fish in a big pond when it came to the pecking order in KBVille. A fact that was about to be hit home in an very unceremonious fashion.

Lotus charged up her petals, her distance from the looters masking the sound of her attack. Indeed, it wasn't until just before she was ready to fire that the two noticed the bright glow of green to their right. They looked - and the expression of utter, flabberghasted surprise on their faces was very amusing to watch, in the brief second you could see it before Lotus let loose a cannon of energy that shot down the alleyway and engulfed the pair. When the light dimmed, and the dust cleared a little, you could make out the two crooks sprawled out at the end of the alleyway, blearily dragging themselves to their hands and knees and crawling away as fast as they could (which wasn't too fast, that attack was pretty powerful). Wherever they were going, you could almost guarantee they were going to be telling people about this "crazy lady with a Vileplume, what blasted me and my mate here while we was just minding our own business" Who knows, maybe they'd even tell someone with some kind of connections? Someone who didn't like the idea of a new kid running round unchecked on the block?

"A good shot, Lotus. Looks like the cowards are fleeing. The night is young, however..."

Which gave Felicity an awesome idea.

"Abyss! Tail them!"

"With pleasure," growled back the Bagon, who dashed off, dancing around with a leap and a twist to make sure he could run fast enough to keep up with those two. Lotus and Felicity were not too far behind. The idea was very simple - tail them, find their friends, and start making some chaos.

However, Abyss lost the trail quickly. He couldn't fly yet; he was still stuck running. No matter.

They'd find some... if only because those guys would know they were being chased by the loud draconic roars, and the fact that they'd bring friends.

The two crooks were running for it as fast as they could - which actually wasn't too fast, considering the damage they'd suffered at the hands of your ambulatory rafflesia. Abyss had very little difficulty sniffing them out, and the faint gibbering cries that they let out in response to the bloodthirsty snarls of the little dragon sure didn't make things harder. In the end, however, the city itself proved your undoing. The fallen towers and blocks had turned the orderly metropolis into a warren of blocked-off streets and tiny passages underneath slabs of concrete floor, a nest for the city's rats to hide in. These two knew their way around, it seemed, and before long you ran into a dead end, their scent tailing off and becoming lost.

For a while, that seems like it could be it - but those two are nothing if not vengeful. Once they lost you, they immediately went to find some friends, and those friends immediately went and found some muscle. A half-hour later, while you were doing whatever you decided to do after losing the trail, they were back, and ready for some revenge.

They decided to wait for you in one of the narrower streets, with debris and empty buildings for them to hide behind. They didn't have much in the way of weapons - pipes, a crowbar or two, one of them had a knife - but they were relying on surprise. It was a simple plan - three guys with pipes came out in the alleyway ahead of you, looking menacing. They were the hired grunts, not smart enough to consider how much a full-force solarbeam would hurt. As you came to a stop, the two guys with crowbars (the two you'd taken out earlier) come in from the sides, circling round to join the thugs, but at the same time hanging back a little, not wanting to get caught in a solarbeam again. Meanwhile, your attention fully forwards, the guy with the knife snuck up from behind, completely unseen.

Man, this would have actually gone really well for them if their victim hadn't been precognizant...

Enemies - on every side, Felicity remarked all of a sudden, peering from under the hood of her newly-acquired black cloak. She'd bought it to start her new persona; she needed to conceal her identity from law enforcement officers, and hiding her face and features where possible would be necessary. Besides, she was a little bit cold without a jacket on at night. So, here she was in the back alley, surrounded by people.

They needed a war council. One held at the speed of thought.

Three in front. One either side. One behind.

What'll we do?

Kill them. Tear them limb from limb!

Abyss, do what you will to the one behind us. He believes himself stealthy - kill him first. Your gods demand it. Lotus, we step back and then I want you to paralyze the lot of them. I want them to see the death that awaits them.

Hee hee! I like it.

Mmmm... yes...

And so, they moved. Felicity took a step back, both hands raised in the air as she looked to the ground, as if to surrender to them. However, that was not to be. At the exact same moment, both Pokémon lunged with a ferocity. Lotus lowered her head as if to unleash a cannon blast from her powder, instead choosing the Stun Spore she saved for humans. The same concoction she had released in Team Rocket's hideout was being used here, scattered over the five men that would no doubt be assaulting their senses and preventing their movement.

Abyss, however?

"BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!"

The dragon leapt at the knife-wielding thug, right paw glowing with a purplish light to render his claw incorporeal. It would be necessary, for the attack could now pass directly through any knife parry... and reach for the man's heart, which could be torn out. Torn out, then pulled mightily from his body with a bout of draconic rage. The dragon screamed into the night with an angry roar, then wreathed his fangs in fire and moved to tear his prey's throat out cleanly with flame in his mouth. Abyss could not be happier. This sacrifice would appease the Ruinous Powers. It would be a glorious night for human blood to stain the ground.

And all Felicity could do was smile.

The thugs were wary of this strange lady's pokemon, but they were counting on the little monsters to be demoralized and unable to pose a threat with their master gone. Of course, that all depended on knife-guy doing his job.

Abyss caught all the thugs by surprise, twisting round with no forewarning and lunging at their trump card with a blood-curdling snarl. And the sight of the Bagon plunging his claw into the man's chest made them all go the colour of day-old porridge. The sight of the Dragon mauling the barely-alive body of his unfortunate victim with fangs that left the remaining flesh cauterized and charred was almost lost on them, their minds were so blank with shock. They certainly didn't notice Felicity taking a step back, cloak swishing clear as Lotus rustled her petals and sent sparkling yellow motes of dust into the air. The thugs began to cough and choke, the aggresive, nerve-killing spores clogging their lungs as it lodged into their skin, nose, mouth - anywhere they could adhere. The toxins worked their way down into the nerve endings, sending a spasm of information down every channel and fibre, leaving the thugs to topple like felled trees, twitching slightly as they tried desperately to overcome the paralysis.

It was over in the space of six seconds. The only sounds left were the sickening squelching noises coming from Abyss as he indulged in his kill. The thugs were all immobilized - well, not quite. One of the pipe-wielding thugs had slightly better reflexes than his friends, and had started to run for it a little earlier. Not early enough - the stun spores had still reached him - but he was still capable of movement. He was dragging himself away with his right arm - that and his head seemed to be the only part of him still functioning - you could hear him making vague whimpering noises from here.

Their misguided attempt to teach you a lesson had failed utterly, and those that weren't dead were now completely helpless. Whatever you wanted to do with them, you were basically at liberty to do so.

One lived, and was fleeing. His four friends were there, deathly struck with fear and the paralysis that Lotus had inflicted upon them. Indeed, this was the very thing the black-cloaked woman had been hoping for: they knew now the cost of trying to cross her, and that cost was terrifyingly high indeed. You did not mess with Felicity Kane. Or, to them...

Felicity took slow, menacing steps up to the one crawling along on his arm, Abyss following behind as Lotus watched her paralysed targets. Felicity cast a quick glance at her flowery friend; she was dancing around merrily, threatening to zap them all with little movements of her petals. One wrong move and they'd take a Solarbeam to the face. They could certainly watch the main event, however.

Felicity looked to Abyss, casting him a thought and a warning glance, and the dragon roared, as if angered - she wanted this one alive. She needed him to take a message to the rest of the underworld, the message that would certainly be the herald of the beginning.

The first - and last - stages of her terrifying plan began to set in her mind. Somehow, it seemed familiar. But this... this plan was not an ordinary one. No, it had darker motives. She needed to curb the violence and vicious outbreaks in Kevin Baconville. It would not be done by arrests, no. That spread the disease further. No, it was done by controlling those responsible. Picking the right targets. Yes, there were people deserving of death. There were people deserving of punishment. Felicity's lot in life would be to ensure that those who performed the punishments were her playthings.

And what would she need? Money. Power. Strength. All of this... it was going down a dark path. But she had resigned herself to it. She knew this was the right thing to do.

"Take this message to your bosses... your friends..." Felicity said, her tones low and her face concealed by the hood on her cloak. "I am the one who destroyed the Rockets. I am called the Seer."

She, alone, had removed Team Rocket's presence from Kevin Baconville. The time was now to take responsibility for what she had done - and turn it into her weapon.

"Tell your friends that Talon is rising. Tell your bosses that if they want a share of my power, a chance to be a part of something they have never seen before, then they can find me. They can join me. Weath. Fame. Power. Anything they want, I will teach them to get. The shroud will be lifted from this city. They will see with their own eyes the opportunities that await them."

Her voice hardened. Suddenly.

"Go."

The thug didn't need to be told twice. He crawled away as fast as he could, legs beginning to twitch as the stun spore slowly began to wear off. He would go through the rest of his life a nervous wreck, with an overwhelming fear of Vileplumes and women in cloaks. But he would tell people what he had seen today. He would tell anyone and everyone he could find, and he would ensure that the mesasge he'd been given found its way to the men and women who pulled the strings in this city, the dons and crime lords that had carved out a niche for themselves in the ruins of Baconville.

The name of the Seer would become a word mentioned in jeering mockery of the incredible tale to begin with - but eventually it would be spoken in hushed voices. A name synonymous with anarchy and death. A figure that all hoped never to meet in person. A shadowy leader, of a shadowy organization, raised from the debris of a fallen crime syndicate. The Seer would be a hawk, hovering over the city, and her followers would be her Talons, ready to strike at her command.

It began with the first blade, at midnight. Felicity could not be prouder of what she had decided to achieve.... but there it was. All that was left was to reap the rewards.

Green Apricorn Tree: Berry 1/5, Water 3/3
Belue Berry Tree: Berry 1/5, Water 3/3
Custap Berry Tree: Berry 1/5, Water 3/3

Okay here's how this works:
1.5 Felicity GenXP + 36.9 Mod GenXP = 38.4 GenXP total. 25 levels to spend, and 0.9 GenXP left over. Let's focus on the 25 levels and leave 0.9 Mod GenXP off to the side.

We're going to do this in 2 sections:

7.5 :gexp2 on Abyss, levels to 30, evolves to Shelgon. Learns Protect.
Then, after that, 30.0 :gexp2 on Abyss, levels 20 times to 50. Learns Dragonbreath, Zen Headbutt, Scary Face and Crunch as a Shelgon, then evolves to Salamence. Learns Fly (not the HM, sadly.) Advance moves are Dragon Claw and Double-edge.

Yeah, I just fucked your reality up with a Salamence. gg. Man, I've only had this thing for like four days and it's already gone up 25 levels. Damn. </ramble>

25 and 50 as levels, so APL is 37.5.

155z in the bank after two weeks. Withdrawing 150z from the bank. 5z left in it. Pathetic, I know.

Selling one Escape Rope charge for 550z. Collecting my first week of Talon pay of 500z. Saturdays will be my Talon payday, and I'll have it deposited straight into the bank.

150+550+500 = 1200, which is 2 Great Balls. Also collecting fame bonus 3 free Poké Balls.

Depositing Lotus into the bank. So it's just Abyss. APL is 50.0.

Felicity's Pokétech beeped all of a sudden, with the jingle from Berry Good Florist's TV ads - that meant she had a crafting order from the shop already. That was quick. And it was... wow, it was a full order of ten already! Ten Fast Balls, which were made from white apricorns. This was going to be great - Felicity could really make some cash from this. And, after all, making money in the world of business was the name of the game.

So, as the berries were collected and shipped over, Felicity went upstairs to her greenhouse work bench, puasing to check her three main berry trees as she went through, as well as the rest of the shop's stock. Yes, indeed, they were all wet and glistening, having been freshly watered. Thank the shop's greenhouse for being so well built. They'd done well to make it the way they had.

Either way, Alisha brought the box of apricorns and payment up to Felicity, which meant that she could start work. As she reached over to open up her apricorn crafting kit, the woman was already hard at work, setting out her tools and lining up the apricorns and the containers for the extract. Yeah, this was all going into Talon's supply pile, too...

Her first order. Wow, that was so soon.

Felicity almost wanted to whistle a tune while she sliced open the first of the apricorns - this was what she'd been waiting for.

After finishing that crafting, Felicity decided that it was high time she went and did something productive, like beating on Pokémon around town, or finding a trainer - or something. However, it was not Felicity that would be leaving, it was the Seer.

Midnight, in Kevin Baconville.

Black cloak adorning her head, the Seer walked out and about the streets of the city that now belonged, rightfully, to her. She would find something to do out here. Someone to fight, something to do. Something would come along.

It always did.

And we're looking for something for the Seer to do.

Things always didn't come around, didn't then?

In the shadows behind her stalked a group of dogs. They watched her, just far enough way they could turn down an alley if they needed to. They wanted nothing from her, except perhaps to find out what she was. The group was lead by a large Mightyena, flanked on both sized by two smaller ones. Behind them trailed half a dozen Poochyena.

Whether it mattered to the Seer or not, the lead dark dog was named Butch. He was a fersome beast, who got what he wanted in the allies. It wasn't sure, at least to his pack mates, what he wanted out of the woman with the cape. They could sense something sinister about her, but other than that, nothing seemed signify her as a target. She was a human after all.

Butch thought otherwise, but he wasn't about to tell that to his pack.

The Seer, at first, couldn't sense a thing. After all, there were certain things in this world that she could not detect - particularly, those of the Dark-type. They were an annoying little bunch that Felicity truthfully had a hard time finding, for they were immune to her powers. As such, it was another means that she worked out they were there. With so many paws running across the ground, the sound eventually added up. Thirty-six paws... eventually, there'd be one slip up. It was such that the Seer found them.

Then, out of nowhere, came her Pokémon, ready to spring and cause some mayhem on these creatures. After all, the three of them were destructive in nature to the point that they'd shred them to pieces.

Then, as the Seer kept her back turned, she stopped, allowing her terrible trio to go to work. The sky was split with the inevitable cry, the terrifying noise of the roaring dragon - BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! and the cackling laugh of the Mr. Mime as he went to work. Lotus' laugh was quieter - but all three of them were equally ferocious in the way they'd take them all apart. There was no way any of them would survive more than a single hit from the terrible attackers.

Lotus was going to work on the smaller ones, for she needed a warm-up - she was dancing across the battlefield, leaves and petals scattered to the winds as she worked her leafy masquerade. Abyss was tearing them to shreds with claw and tail, using the irrevocable strength of his species to make them pay for their transgression. And Gamzee was throwing lightning like some kind of angry deity, hurling bolts to destroy them as if they were the weakest form of life on the planet.

The Seer was pleased.

And thus ended the rather short rampaging lives of Butch's pack.

Wow Seer... just, wow. Couldn't you tone it down a little? Did you have to wipe out every single one of them? Good grief. Completely ignoring the fact Butch pretty much lead his whole pack to their deaths without realizing, that was a litttttle over kill.

Cassody would never know what happened to her mate and the pups... sad day.

Not that the Seer probably cared about any of that crap, but hey, perhaps somewhere there was a fuzzy part to her heart... Eh, maybe I'm pushin' it.

When you are the Seer, there is no such thing as 'overkill'. But that is a lesson to be taught later, when there is nothing else to do other than go and destroy the enemies that dare to threaten you. Now that the wolfpack had been annihilated, the fact of the matter was that the Seer could go back to searching for something to do that wasn't a colossal failure.

The Seer moved on, her minions following behind her.

She was in the shadows now, everything being concealed by her cloak - many would know the three that followed along as the Seer's loyal fighters, the ones who could tear them to shreds if they tried anything untoward. In fact, the Seer was counting on that.

Perhaps someone would challenge her. Perhaps there'd be something interesting that happened after all of that. After all, trouble attracted more trouble, and this was sure as hell definitely considered trouble. And besides... maybe she wanted to get a little personal about it. She did have a force rod to use, after all.

First, one quick stop at the Pokemon Centre, and she was back out there.

The alleyways in the night in Kevinbaconville were a host to a number of things. Wild pokemon, thieves, murderers, whores...

That was the known. And if any of them were smart, they made themselves scarce in the presence of the Seer.

The unknown, on the other hand, was much more brave, and that bravery was not unfounded. There were things in the dark, that haunted the shadows and preyed on the fringes of human society. They were cautious, but unafraid of the Seer's might.

And one, only one, decided today to be seen.

Or rather, to be detected.

After some wandering through the darkened alleyways and finding nothing, the Seer would find herself feeling a presence. It was wholy alien, not a dark type, not a ghost, not any pokemon, and clearly not human. It felt a bit like a breeze blowing around her, but there was no actual wind. No other could feel it, not even Gamzee, because it did not want to be felt by any but the woman who had so swiftly caught its interest. There were no clear thoughts to be read, but emotions were felt every time it seemed to tug at her cloak, hair, and hands, despite the fact that none of such things moved at all in response.

Curiousity. Admiration. Not a hint of malice. Whatever this thing was, it liked the Seer. It wasn't pulling in any particular direction, just pulling, like a child trying to get attention from an adult. And not a single other living thing but the focus of its interest would have any idea it was there.

Sometimes the shadowy dance across the psychosphere was a strange thing, where one could find themselves caught up in the amusing antics of others. One such presence was tingling her mind, dancing at the edge of her senses. Yes. There was something here that she had to find - but what was it?

"Gamzee? Sense anything?" the Seer asked, looking around sharply to find this presence.

"i got nothin'." the Mr. Mime responded, looking around himself.

But the Seer thought this strange. Something that Gamzee could not detect and that she could? Such things meant talent, such things meant intent. This was meant to be. They were only for the Seer's eyes - and she understood. All three of her minions were recalled, leaving only the woman in the black cloak in the darkness. This strange sensation needed to be investigated, and soon - it was starting to toy with her.

So she stopped walking. If it wanted her, it would come out. It had her all to themselves, and she was ready. But just in case, the force rod was kept concealed underneath her cloak, where she could reach it easily for any necessary attacks on... well, whatever this was.
And whatever this was, it would reveal itself to her. Soon.

"Come," was the only word spoken to the shadows.

The wind retreated slightly when the pokemon were recalled, and then surged past the Seer at her word. They whirled before her, still a feeling rather than a sight, and then solidified into a small form on the sidewalk.

It was a cat. Not a cat pokemon, but a garden variety feline of the sleek, jet black persuation. Or at least it appeared to be, before it opened its bright red eyes and shook its shoulders to trigger the spreading of small, feathered wings. The eyes were human in their intelligence, and the creature padded forward and bowed its head.

Seer... It was a soft, smooth word in the voice of a woman. Even now, the creature could not be read. Attempting to probe its mind would be like walking down a straight path only to somehow return to where you started. What it chose to send, however, was received as easily as sound to ears, perhaps easier. The cleanser...The revolutinary... Every word was reverant, as if praying to a diety.

Then the head raised, and the small creature's eyes glowed crimson in the gloom. I am Symphony.

There, it seemed to wait, the air anticipatory. No doubt, the mortal would have questions. Or perhaps, she would loose her servant beasts on the strange cat, now that it was in a solid form. Only allowing the next moments to pass would tell, but there was no fear in it.

The Seer watched with great interest. This was something out of the ordinary, something that broke past the bounds of the milieu and promised to bring entertainment like she had not yet known. This was something that the Seer could very much find herself enthralled with, for it was not of this world. What she did was not normally of this world, either - why should something so fancifully amusing not be addressed properly?

Its form was not human, nor was its method of communion. However, the Seer would not pay mere lip service to this. This was something more intriguing.

"Greetings, Symphony," she murmured unto the winds that carried the demon cat to her, though she doubted that this was its true form. Instead, she folded her hands into the sleeves of her cloak before her, staring under its hood.

"You have summoned, and I am here. What is it you wish - or are you merely curious as to my station?"

Now began the fun, for if this Symphony was one to come up with interesting things to say, then she would listen. If not, then she would leave, grateful for the momentary distraction from this world.

Symphony's ear flicked at the question, and a hint of surprise coiled in the winds. The demon cat clearly had not expected the mortal to get the point so quickly.

It is wishes and curiosity in equal parts, I suppose, Symphony replied as it sat on the sidewalk, tail swishing and wings folding to become nearly invisible against its blackness. Or perhaps unequal. I know some, but not all. You are...Guided. By what I cannot say. I am merely a Messanger in your life, I know that well.

Symphony seemed to collect her thoughts. There are creatures here that should not be. Not me, as I was sent with a purpose. My...family would not approve of my telling you of this, or showing myself, but I wish to give you the opportunity to cleanse a taint of another kind. In exchange, I have a bit of power. If there is a boon you wish that I can grant, I will.

The cat waited patiently, red eyes still glowing softly. It seemed like it would accept no for an answer quite easily.

The Seer understood all too well what this meant. In fact, she was so used to being the one giving this kind of gift that she caught onto the cat's games quickly. Well then. Perhaps this was not such a bad idea, for she could make use of this. After all. Lotus needed to strengthen, and the Seer could not leave this city until she was strong enough to handle the rigors of the journey that would be embarked upon.

"I will accept this task. Be warned that I will not take wandering into some kind of trap lightly..." the Seer said, her tone suddenly flickering to malicious. "...but we shall see. What taint do you require me to cleanse, and how do I go about it?"

She had accepted. She would not summon her minions out to crsuh this demonic cat unless there was an attempt at a double-cross, and that would be a mistake on Symphony's part of the highest order. When dealing with psychics and dragons, the worst thing one can do is anger them, for their wrath is furious and mighty. In the meantime, the Seer simply stared, waiting. As for that boon... well. It would all depend, wouldn't it?

Anger laced the winds, almost seeming to radiate heat, and Symphony bared teeth as black as the rest of her, eyes narrowing to slits. Do not threaten me, Seer, she warned, her voice dangerous, I do not deceive.

As soon as it came, the anger left. Symphony relaxed, and slipped into a standing position. She then vanished, the winds whirling to form a red-eyed crow. In this new form, Symphony began to fly off into the maze of dark streets, tugging lightly at the Seer with her winds to follow her.

I will speak as clearly as I am able. The human corruption that has run rampant is this place has taken its toll. All the deaths and misery has weakened barriers most do not even see. As I said, there are creatures here that should not. They flock to this city in hunger. You cleansed the source of this, but they remain, and they will quickly create what they need to sate themselves if need be.

Symphony led the Seer into a dead-end alley and perched on one of the garbage cans. The look on the bird's face was serious and studying. They act on instinct. They are ruled by hunger and fury, but are wary, and hide from my eyes. You, however, can reach out with your mind. They will be curious; only the bolder will come out, but all we need is one. They are linked in their blood.

In a ruffle of feathers, Symphony vanished, and the Seer would feel a chill as the winds coiled behind her and vanished. I will be your shadow. If it sees me, it will run, and we will have lost our chance. Make use of your companions, and kill it quickly after it comes to you.

Well, that seemed simple enough, did it not?

The Seer laughed at anger. In fact, it was almost an open mockery. Almost. "Fear not, little Symphony. This world is full of deception and double meaning. Even you must be on guard for such things."

This charade seemed like a good way to pass a little bit of time, however, before the Seer resumed her duties elsewhere. After all, she did need a little diversion until things began to amp up towards their true intensity. She would, in time, have places to be and have some things to do. Until that time, however, there were other things that required her attentions, including dealing with this.

The demon-cat's transformation into the bird made the Seer question Symphony's origins and nature. Perhaps one such as this could be made to serve... eventually. It was clear that this was a ploy to draw out Symphony's predators and eliminate them, which made this an interesting scenario; what power would this give the Seer later? That in itself gave the answer so very clearly to her mind.

"Let us make this fair, then. Your boon will be a reward upon the completion of this task - it gives me some time to consider further. For now, follow."

Three Pokémon suddenly materialised; a psychic that looked nothing like his own native species, a large, enraged dragon and the be-petalled narcissist. The Seer turned to her loyal followers, and bade them all draw closer with a beckon of an index finger. The plan was whispered unto their ears, and all agreed: it was a good idea, all things considered.

Gamzee, the psychic monster, walked alongside the Seer. Together, the both of them wove a resonating psychic net, casting it far and wide across the psychosphere in ways they had never done before. Usually, they worked separately; together their powers were a new and unwieldy thing. It would be a crazy, untamed and wild thing, much like the Pokémon assisting in it. But once the prey was lured... the net would seize its prey and allow the hunters to feast upon their catch.

Two minds, both powerful and very different, wove together and stretched their influence in search of the beasts. Spreading out like wildfire, erratic and crazy, it sought the darkness that the Seer's shadow had bid them find. They could hide, and were wary, but something in the mixture, the uniqueness of the Seer and Gamzee's efforts, beckoned like a siren's song.

Something touched the net. It was like the scurrying of rats' feet, sending vibrations through the net. Something, somethings, twisted and toxic, eager to feed, converged on the psychic impulses, their running like the roaring of ocean waves through their minds.

Fear seized the shadow, unintentionally sending involuntary ice down the Seer's spine. Symphony's voice was frantic with terror. The mime! Stop him! Stop his call! They're drawn to him!

Too late.

Something between a howl and a scream broke through the night, primal and ravenous. Shrieks followed in its wake, high-pitched and distinctly alien.
The darkness around the psychic seemed to come alive, rising and solidfying into half-formed figures. The screeches and bellows slowly formed words as the monsters became more distinct, but every voice was nearly the exact same as the last, and they overlapped in an incoherent jumble of shouted syllables that rolled together like thunder.

The figures were barely humanoid, hunched over in primal stances, thick arms each ending in a pair of claws the same jet black as the fur that covered their bodies. Amber eyes stared from above long muzzles filled with yellowed teeth, wide ears quivering from either sides of their heads. Their tails lashed behind them and, most strangely, leathery wings like bats' spread and beat the air from their shoulders.

"Kill them! Rend their shadows! Find the Messenger!"

The order was in one of their voices, bellowed above the rest, but which one of the horde had said it was impossible to tell. One of them leaped at Gamzee, fangs bared and howling, and that sent them all converging on the Seer and her pokemon.

Symphony was silent, but her fear was a constant icy finger that meant she still lurked in the Seer's shadow.

When the shadows took physical form, the Seer stopped and contemplated the situation for a moment. As shadows, she could not have affected them - but now that they'd converged on the material realm, she had ultimate power over them. Such was the nature of matter; she had the ability to interact with it once they lost their shadowy forms and became something real. Perhaps they would have been a matter for curiosity at some point in the near future, but there was one simple fact that she could not deny:

They were all going to die, then and there.

Gamzee's instant reaction was a mad cackle, and then a wave of his hand as his myriad opponents rushed him - such was to erect the shimmering barriers that Mr. Mimes were capable of making. They'd find themselves bouncing off such things, unable to breach its depths - which gave Abyss and Lotus the few precious moments they needed to get into position and prepare their attacks.

Abyss, as was his style, went right down the middle. a dangerous and demonic roar pierced the skies as he allowed his claws to glow with that ancient purple energy, before tearing rends through the ranks of these shadow creatures as he passed through the wall, ready to kill them, burn them, then eat the charred remains.

Lotus, on the other hand, was being a little sneakier. She wasn't going to engage directly, no - she wasn't as talented as Gamzee or Abyss quite yet. Instead, she was sneaking around to the side, where she could draw a bead right through the middle of the shadow formation. Once in place, the flower on her head began to glow... all so she could fire a Solarbeam right through the middle and hit as many of them as she possibly could.

Ultimate power? There was one rule to keep in mind when fighting the unknown: assume nothing.

Gamzee's barriers formed, and rushing beasts were indeed repelled at first. They shrieked and bellowed, hungry for death, pounding at the shield, until one particular beast's claws started to pulse with a red glow. It ripped through the barrier with both hands and lunged through the hole at the mutant Mr. Mime, sinking its teeth into Gamzee's shoulder and clawing madly as his body as its wings pounded the air as if trying to take off. The hole sealed behind it, and the other monsters continued to pound and scratch at it futily; it seemed not all of them could do that, which was one thing in the Seer's favour, the other being that they seemed so determined to get at Gamzee that they didn't seem to even realize that the other pokemon were preparing to attack.

The dragon's roar echoed through the night, and a number of creatures paused at the sight of dragon hurling himself through the barrier toward them. When Abyss flew into the horde, one would expect them be torn apart or race out of the way of his path. The truth was a mixture of the former and something else. The Salamence's claws caught one and skewered it, blood spattering on the sidewalk as he ran it through. Its blood was red, like human blood, speckling the ground, and the monster clawed at Abyss' leg in return, jaws opening and closing in soundless cries as blood poured from its mouth. It didn't stop moving and slide from the dragon's claws until it had nearly bled out entrely, and landed with a wet splat on the ground amongst its fellows.

More beasts leaped at Abyss, many of them knocked away or ripped apart, but others digging their teeth and claws into the Salamence's flesh. Some latched onto his underbelly, while others tried to scale his sides. One reached a wing a left a few slashes, luckily not tearing through the membrane, before it fell and seemed to break its neck on the concrete.

For Lotus, charging a Solarbeam during the night was an uphill battle. It was difficult, and it was long. Another monster cut through the barrier and jumped at her, only to race right past her on four legs to go after Gamzee. Unfortunately for the creature, it never reached him, because it made the mistake of running in front of Lotus, just as she had gathered just enough energy to fire.

The beam of light ripped through the monsters' ranks, the smell of burning hair and cooking flesh filling the air. A thick, black smoke twisted from the blast, many of the shadow creatures caught in it completely obliderated on contact, others mangled horribly, flesh bubbling from the heat and missing limbs. Some of these injured ones melted into shadow, presumably fleeing, while some ignored their state and kept throwing themselves at the barrier or the dragon.

One, just a little larger than the others, had suffered the Solarbeam's effects only on one half of its body. It's right arm blown off in the attack and right eye gone, the skin on the same side cooked and partially missing, a set of black bones with strips of skin and muscle where its wing once was, the shadow beast raised its single set of claws, glowing red, and ripped its way through the barrier and hurled its broken body at the Seer, jaws aimed at her throat.

No! The Seer's shadow came alive, Symphony's winds blowing again as she formed, this time as a woman. Pale, ashen skin and black hair tumbling nearly to the ground, swathed in an equally black cloak and eyes glowing red, she stood between the Seer and her attacker. Its teeth met her raised arm, sinking it but drawing no blood, and Symphony grasped it by its bony wing and hurled it to the ground, ripping it from her. Scorching wind hurled it back through the barrier. You will not touch her!

Broken, some retreated, the majority dead or nearly so, Symphony's revealed presence only seemed to give the monsters cause to keep fighting. Their shrieks grew more frantic as they tore at Abyss and some began to rip more holes in the barrier. The shapeshifter turned her head to plant a single crimson eye on the Seer. I'm sorry. Symphony then ran forward, dark energy pulsing around her hand, and hurled a globe of energy at a monster, knocking it back.
