Hannah and Melody had a fun time racing toward Murmur Valley. They planned to continue with the race until they reached the next town, Misthenge. But when they noticed the thick fog in the distance, they realized that that would be highly dangerous. "Melody, whoever reached the fog first wins, k?" Hannah challenged her partner. Melody shrieked a 'yes' before she began sprinting even more harder. Hannah too was running faster, using up her remaining energy to win the race. Hannah and Melody were head to head as they raced toward the fog. They tried their best to get in front of the other until they reached the finish line. Melody had won! Unluckily though, to the two, it seemed like a tie. Too bad that they didn't have a third person to share out their thoughts. "Awesome race, Melody. You sure are fast," Hannah said, panting in between each word, "I'll make sure we won't tie next time though," Melody gave her a slightly smile as she too panted, tired after racing. "I suggest that we walk the rest of the way. Urgh, I'm so tired," Hannah said after a while. Melody agreed, "Yes, let's take it nice and easy," Hannah gave her a smile before she slowly began walking forward. "Ok, listen here, Melody. Stick closely to me so you don't get lost in this fog," Hannah advised, reaching out a hand. Instead of gripping her hand though, Melody began sitting on it, her body sweaty and slippery. "I told you to take my hand, not take a little break!" Hannah glared at Melody, shaking her head, "So, get off my hand and float like you always do," "Oh, come on," Melody pouted in a cute way, "You told me to race so I did and now I'm really tired. It takes effort to float ya know and I've none. Come on then, Fallen Angel, be nice just this once?" Hannah hesitated slightly but after a few more of Melody's sad faces, she gave in, "Fine but only until you've recovered. Got that?" "Yes, I did," Melody said, satisfied. Melody, in truth, could still float but this was simply revenge for forcing her to clean that dirty bag of hers. "Be careful, okay? Don't drop me, I'm a very fragile person," Melody told Hannah as she lied down on Hannah's hand. Grumbling, Hannah moved forward, her arm stuck up to the side in an odd way. And Melody was smiling as she got the free ride. Hehe, sweet, sweeeet revenge! |

.3 ~ Why Fallen Angel? And where are you heading? :) Melody gets 1 from that little race. Though how a Misdreavus could sprint, I would never know. As the ghost-type rested on Hannah's shoulder, their pace became considerably slower; Hannah was obviously tired from that little game they played. The fog was thick and almost choking. The tendrils of thick moisture seemed to be solid and caught in Hannah's hair. What was happening?Don't underestimate the fog. The voice seemed to come out from nowhere. Of course Hannah couldn't understand it since it was said by a Pokemon, but Melody could translate it. The voice trembled. In the miasma, it seemed almost muffled. Don't go any further. It sounded strained, like he was trying to warn everyone; but who could hear him in such an environment? The smog grew thicker, then thinner; and at one moment Hannah would be able to tell that a Pokemon lay ahead, shivering in fear and slowly trotting his way towards Hannah. He was afraid, very afraid: but of what? 15 ![]() ~Shivering |

.3 Eep, forgot to put that up! Oh, and uh, Fallen Angel from my previous FF in Malral. The one that sucks. >.< It was so quiet in Murmur Valley, not to mention dark too. It could've been a perfect place to nap.... If you enjoyed being sleeping in the mud. Hannah's feet had been pulled in by the mud a number of times and it was getting annoying. To get out, she had to pull her feet hard so it would break free. It could sometimes take from a few seconds to half an hour. She didn't enjoy Murmur Valley much. Lucky Melody though.... She could float although for now, she was on Hannah's shoulder, taking a look at the grim scenery. It was boring somewhat. But this story was still in its beginning and the exciting parts could would come soon. If there were exciting parts! ...Actually, there was. A deep, chilling voice sounded itself, shouting a warning or something in a sinister manner. Hannah took a look at the fog surrounding her as the voice continued to speak. The fog, the fog...! This was like the time in the Pokemon Graveyard in Felcrest. Fog had brought them trouble team, now fog was going to bring some trouble, huh? Hannah would have loved to do something but she paused in panic. Melody though, was definitely not panicked and flustered, "Hannah? Hello!?" When Hannah didn't respond to Melody, she huffed heavily, "Hannah, I think we should chase that person with that weird voice. He was playing some cruel joke on us, I believe. Clear your head and stand strong. Let's face this problem together," Melody's voice reached Hannah. Hannah gave her a thumbs up, "Yes, you're right. Neko, let's find us a troublemaker," Hannah picked up Neko's ball from her belt and white light came gushing out to form the familiar shape of Neko. Neko mewed, ready for anything. "Track down any weird smells or noises, all right Neko? Melody, follow Neko and if she finds something, Shadow Ball that 'something'," Melody and Neko yelped in unison as they got to work. Meanwhile, Hannah finally noticed the Lotad hobbling toward her, scared of the thing. Usually, Hannah would beat the Pokemon up but.... Maybe not this time. She sympathised with the poor Lotad. "Listen here, Lotad," Hannah said as she walked over to the little Pokemon, "You don't have to be scared of this weird voice, y'know. It's probably just some person who wants to mess with you. Come on, get back to wherever you live. My friends and I will take care of this," ![]() 11 33/33(Tracking Down Weird Pokemon) ![]() 15 45/45(Following Neko. .3 The Skitty dashed about, her little pink body trying to chase the source of the mysterious voice. Again, the voice repeated: Please save yourself. Whatever it was, it didn't stop. Hannah left the Lotad alone, and the Lotad started to crawl further away from the voice. What could it be? Was it really a prank? Neko's ears pricked up as the voice repeated and she dashed into the fog. The miasma grew thicker; it was almost impenetrable now. Where could Neko be? The Skitty squeaked from afar; what could be happening? As Hannah and Melody moved together through the fog, trying to find the cat, the Skitty squealed again. What could be happening? She was calling for help; but her voice sounded disembodied, almost untraceable. It was with a lot of luck that Hannah and Melody managed to find the Skitty, shivering on the floor, looking at another Pokemon. It was another Lotad. This one was in worse shape. Cuts covered his face and his dish, and he was the one who was warning everyone, as he muttered, "Save yourself. Don't come to this place." Melody stared at Hannah and without stop, she threw the ball of spiritual energy towards the Lotad. The poor Lotad rolled to the side, managing to closely avoid it. Breathing heavily, the Lotad said, "Please don't attack me. No, please, no!" His eyes glowed with madness and he tried to scuttle away. Would Hannah give chase and attack him again? 11 ![]() 15/33

.3 Neko followed the trail of odd scents and sounds with Melody hot on her trails. The voice was disturbing the wild and that certainly had to stop. Hannah was going to find it a hard job to train if that racket continued. That and well, Hannah was scared too. Although she did try her best to stay calm, she couldn't help the fear lingering in her soul. She had always been scared of spirits ever since the incident with Calypso but she had to focus or else this would never be solved. This was most probably not a ghost right? This place was foggy, muddy, disgusting, irritating but haunted wasn't in the list right? Right. Hannah kept her mind focused, thinking logically. Ghosts don't exist, they're just a figment of the imagination. All of a sudden, there was a mew of surprise and pleading. Bingo! There was the culprit. But how would she get to deal justice on the troublemaker if she couldn't see well? "Melody, where's Neko? Try your best to listen to those mews of hers," Hannah said as she grasped onto Melody who floated beside her. "Stay calm, I'll help you get through this fog," Melody whispered as she concentrated on finding her team mate in the sea of hard-to-see-through fog. At first, they went the wrong way but with Neko's loud whimpers, they found their way. Melody released the ball of ghostly energy at the source but ended up missing. Hannah sighed as she squinted harder to make out what it was they were dealing with. Hannah was surprised to see another Lotad, its body covered in all sorts of bruises, cuts and the like. The Lotad began mumbling stuff while Hannah widened her eyes as the voice was tinged with desperation. "Melody, Neko, don't attack him yet. We need to know why he's been shouting. Melody, tell me what he's been mumbling," Melody cocked her eyebrow, "Do we really want to spare him? I thought you wanted to get rid of him," Hannah sighed and Melody rolled her eyes, "Well, he's telling us to go away but I don't know why he wants us though. I think there's some kind of tough Pokemon in the distance and he's trying to warn us. But we can handle it right?" Hannah gave her a thumbs up, "Yup! Listen here, Lotad, I appreciate you being worried for us but I'd really like to get to Mayriver today. So, thank you but sorry. Come on guys, let's go," Before Lotad could say a thing, Hannah, Neko and Melody ran away quite a distance, ready to face off whatever danger which might come her way. Whatever the danger was, it would make a perfect training exercise. All of her Pokemon were psyched to fight and so was she. The Fallen Angel was ready. |

0.3 ![]() What is it with Air and Lotads? I am currently led to believe that Air has a Lotad fetish. But let's continue on before I start psychoanalyzing that. I'm sure you don't want to read about crazy Lotad sexual desire and the other oddities of wanting to tap dat raindish. Anyways, back on task. Needless to say, you'd just run the heck away from the Lotad. Its short, multiple tiny legs weren't exactly going to carry it very far, or very fast. It didn't need to, though. It didn't want to chase you because you ditched it, which made it think that it was unloved and had no friends. Ten days in the future, you will have just given rise to an emo Lotad that cuts itself and cries itself to sleep at night, with a badly-photoshopped-on black head of hair that goes past its eyes, listens to screamo and likes to shop at popular hipster clothing stores. Oops. Now, since you didn't actually remember to put where you were actually heading in your post again, the universal aspect had to go and hunt it down! Two reminders in the same thread, tsk tsk. Oh well, you'll remember to do it one day. Anyways, let's make some progress in the right direction, because headquarters is clearly laying the pressure down now to go somewhere. Aaaand... a few more steps... there you go! Hello, sinklands! Reached: Sinklands 1 Edited by Kirin, Jan 14 2011, 04:51 PM.

Mist Valley --> Sinklands 1 --> Soggy Hillside --> Mayriver. Current Place is in Bold .3 One moment Hannah was in a land full of fog and flat ground, racing with her Neko and Melody and the next moment, her foot was being devoured by the ground. Neko had also stepped into one of those unstable spots and she was stuck. Only Melody was safe from the irritating mud and she hadn't even noticed that her team mate and trainer had encountered trouble. >.> "Hey Melody, stop, stoooooop!" Hannah shouted, calling Melody so she could get out of this mud. Melody spun around to see what was happening. And then she saw Hannah and Neko in the distance. She tilted her head, "What the heck are you doing there? Are you all ready tired? Geez, you guys must be really unfit," Hannah rolled her eyes at Melody's comment. Was she blind? Couldn't she see that they had stepped into some mud? Hannah gave it one good tug and miraculously succeeded. And she still had her boot too. She proceeded to help Neko, taking about a minute to safely release her from the mud's grasp. Hannah took out her Pokeball, "Here, Neko. I don't think you'd like walking here with all this mud around," Neko mewed, agreeing with Hannah's statement and she was sucked back into the safety of her Pokeball. Hannah neatly placed it back in its special place and then sighed as she took a look at the ground. She was scared of being sucked in into a world of darkness. But she had to try, right? Hannah warily stepped on each spot she wanted to go on. Slowly, she managed to catch up with Melody who was sighing. "Took you long enough," she yawned, "And this is why you must really stop eating unhealthy stuff," "Yeah, yeah, whatever," Hannah couldn't be bothered to comment back, "Melody, if I get stuck in this mud, help me out with your psychic powers ok? And please tell me if there are any wild Pokemon around. I'd really love to train!" Melody nodded, "Ok, now off we go," And they slowly made their way. Edited by Wish, Jan 14 2011, 08:05 PM.

.3 It was only a matter of type before Hannah's foot sunk into another sinkhole and a thick poisonous muck started to eat her leg; the Grimer reformed, being hurt by the foot. He grimaced, stared at the female trainer still had her foot in a hole; the remnants of himself still coated the delicate skin of the female, burning slowly -- what could she do? Did she have a water Pokemon to help wash off this poison? The Grimer wasn't too happy though; it hurt when she stepped onto him and he tipped his head backwards and yelled, then slowly dissolved. A Poochyena started running towards the area, his eyes wild with madness. This was all about the strength of friendship -- and Poochyena was loyal. He wasn't going to abandon his friends like how the Lotad just let the Adversary take over their whole territory. Poochyena saw Grimer in pieces, Acid Armor in motion and he howled, preparing himself for a good fight with the lady. He spied the Misdreavus and his eyes focused. He was ready. 14~ +2 Def 16~ +1 Atk |

.3 Hannah was getting better at finding the safe spots. She hadn't stepped into one unstable spot for the past ten minutes, an accomplishment which she was proud of. In fact, she was growing more confident at this as she began increasing her pace. For the next ten minutes, she encountered no misfortunes, only good luck. But as people say, pride comes before a fall. With Hannah growing over-confident, it wasn't surprising that her foot ended up in an unstable spot. And it was purple! Hannah stared uneasily at the purple muck on her boot, disgusted with the gross slime. And then she got another shock when she saw what she had stepped on. Even more purple slime, only more larger and it had eyes. Hannah got her foot out of the thing immediately while Melody chuckled to herself. She didn't know Hannah was in danger. Hannah glared at the Grimer before trying her best to rub the purple gunk off her foot. But she didn't get far. It burned when she touched it! And when she got her hand off, it still hurt. Hannah took a look at the goo and saw it eat up a hole in her boot. "You're going to pay!" Hannah growled, "Melody, Ps- Crap!" Hannah saw a grey shape emerge from almost nowhere with an angry look in its eye. It was angry. AT HER. She didn't do much. Well, except from stepping on the Grimer but who cared about that? Unless they were friends . Ah, whatever! They had found themselves some prey. Full stop. And now, Hannah was to handle them. "Jiyu, you're up," Hannah said as a white gush of light popped out of her belt. And there was her Monferno, standing mighty and tall. He hadn't been swallowed from the mud yet which Hannah was thankful for. But that probably wouldn't last long. But whatever. "Melody, Psybeam Grimer twice. Give it all you got. Jiyu, try your best Mach Punching the Poochyena. If by any chance you get stuck in the mud, then ember him, got it Jiyu? Good. .3 The fist slammed into the mutt's snout; and the dark Pokemon shook his head, trying to regain sanity. The Monferno was fast and strong -- it took the wind out of him and made stars shine within his vision. But even then he would not abandon his friend in need. The ghostly Misdreavus started firing off her Psybeam at the Grimer and the pooch knew only he could stop the ghost. He leapt forward with his teeth bare, saliva flying and with the anger of being knocked in his head raging in his blood, he performed Assurance on the ghost Pokemon, knocking her senseless. Poor Melody was already out. But the concentrated beam of thought still hammered the Grimer into submission -- and the Grimer felt very weak after that attack. He raised a little purple arm however and tossed a Mud Bomb towards the Monferno. Monferno bore the attack surprisingly well and charged towards the Poochyena that had attacked his companion. With a thud, the Poochyena hit the ground and Grimer rushed to the Poochyena, tears glistening. "I'm so sorry, Jason. I really didn't mean for this to happen." His eyes now stared at Hannah. She begun all this; and he hoped her leg burned with all his poison. With another fling of a Mud Bomb, there were only the Fire Pokemon and Poison Pokemon left. One on one. .3 When Hannah saw Melody drop to the ground, everything froze. Melody was her best friend for flipping sake and there she was, laid out on the ground. All thanks to the wretched Grimer. That appaling, beastly, crosspatch, dolthead, egotistic, foul, gross, horrible, irritating, junk-like, knavish, loathsome, mangy, nerve-wracking, odious, presumptuous, quarrelsome, wicked, X-rated, yucky zero had done all this. And Hannah swore by Jirachi that he would pay for all that. "Guys, go!" Hannah shrieked out one command and several lines of white light shot forth. And there were the others with a mad look etched on their faces. They had sensed Hannah's anger from their Pokeballs and even though some of the newbies didn't know her well, they found her interesting, so why not? "We are going to give you hell, little slime ball and if you dare run, I swear I'll track you down!" Hannah snarled, "Jiyu, Flame Wheel! Hailey, Signal Beam! Lucky, Blizzard! Neko, Assist! Full power, go!" Three words. Hell on Earth. Jiyu curled himself into a blazing ball and then shot forth at the purple pile of muck. Hailey pulled a face before shooting out a beam. Lucky whipped up a killer blizzard while hail dropped out of the skies and Neko concentrated on a move. Yowch! .3 The Grimer gritted his non-existent teeth as the female sent out all her Pokemon with flashes of bright white light. This wasn't fair; this just simply wasn't fair -- but he didn't want them to let him suffer. He prepared to move, doing his Memento and effectively knocking himself out to leave the Monferno weakened; but he wasn't fast enough. As the barrage of attacks came at him, a wheel of fire tackling hard into his slimy side, a beam of buzzing energy slamming to his face and the cold battering of ice over all. Even without the cat's assistance, it was done. Grimer's eyes slowly opened, catching the sight of his loyal friend, Poochyena. It was wrong; he shouldn't have called for help and just run -- or at least eat up the female's leg. The poison was still there, on Hannah's boots and it seemed like they were slowly eating through them. He grinned and with Poochyena's visage in his head, he blacked out, satisfied with Poochyena's true friendship. 0.2 for each of the 4 Pokemon! |

.3 Hannah watched as all her Pokemon performed their very best moves with a big smile on her face. The combination of the attacks was too much for the Grimer to handle and he was knocked out immediately. Hannah had a smug look on her face as she walked forth to see the Grimer laying on the ground. "And that is why you should never mess with the mighty Hannah Bingham!" she shouted, adding oomph in the last bit. There was a cheerful burst of screams from the Pokemon which had formed the 'Hell' attack while Hannah bowed. "Thanks guys, you guys are the greatest!" Hannah gave each one of her Pokemon a pat, "Anyone of you want to join me through this place? There are chances that you'll be eaten by the mud but I'll help you out. Besides, the more the merrier," Jiyu and Hailey shook their heads while Neko and Lucky jumped up and down happily. "Okay then but before you go, Hailey, can you please wash this slime off my boot?" Hannah asked, stretching her foot out slightly. Hailey nodded as she shot a stream of water at the boot, washing away the acid. The acid stopped eating away at the boot as it fell into the mud, ready to poison any of the inhabitants in there. Hannah sighed as she stared at the number of holes in that boot of hers; some were big, some were small but all were irritating to Hannah. She suspected mud would flow in the holes each time she walked. "I hate that Grimer," she grumbled before grabbing three Pokeballs from her belt, "Return, Jiyu, Hailey, Melody ." Three lines of red beams shot and all three were sucked in the safety of their round homes. She fixed them back on before she picked up both the Skitty and Snover and rested them on her shoulders; Neko on her right, Lucky on her left. She continued forward. And crap, she was right. The mud did flow in. D: ~*~ Mist Valley --> Sinklands 1 --> Soggy Hillside --> Mayriver. Current place in bold. |

.3 There were places that provided free mud baths, where they apply clay all over your skin and when washed off, made your skin baby-smooth. In that sense, you could try to be comforted; but as the seeping mud made a squishy sound with every landing of your foot, there was no doubt that it was uncomfortable and annoying. But you were more careful now, where you put your feet; but also slower. Despite that, it was clear that the Fog was slowly disappearing -- but by the looks of the ground, although the Soggy Hillsides were near, you were still helpless lost in the fog of the Sinklands. A Surskit skated along the surface of a puddle, his little spindly legs moving expertly. It was strange watching him, as he spun across water; his long legs seemed to move an alien fashion. His black eyes faced you and just continued to skip around the water, as if nothing happened. A Paras sat right nearby, chattering to the Surskit who gave him replies once in a while -- and the Paras too faced you. Most trainers didn't bother them, and their guards were simply down. To them, you were just another trainer rushing towards Mayriver, not one who was actively looking for wild Pokemon to attack. What were your goals anyway? 13 17

.3 Hannah HATED the Sinklands and that was ABSOLUTELY, flipping true. The mud . Hannah shuddered. She didn't like the mud oozing into her boots and bathing her foot. She hated it oh-so-much! Seriously, she did. But she wasn't really going to mutter a colourful description of Murmur Valley in front of her new baby so she complained to Arceus in her mind, using words which sizzled with fury. But still, it was only for a short time. If she didn't want things to be even worse, she had to take a look at the ground and try her best to dodge all those unstable spots. All of a sudden, she heard something nearby, a friendly little conversation. Hmm, what was that about? She turned to her right and found two, little Pokemon in their own little world. She watched the small, blue bug nearby skate across the mud. She envied the way it glided across the mud as though it was nothing while poor, unlucky Hannah was always having her feet sinking in the mud. >_> It looked pretty interesting and she wondered whether she could catch it. It would make a fantastic companion on her way to Mayriver and if she could get on its good side, maybe it would give her lessons in skating. That'd be awesome. Hannah tried to act friendly as she walked forward, "Hai guys. I couldn't help noticing your friend here gliding across the mud. It looks really pretty, seriously. I'm quite jealous since I can't skate like that," Hannah paused to crouch down, "I was wondering whether you'd like to join me, little one. I have a long journey in front of me and it will be really exciting, I promise you. And I'm really nice, if you don't believe me, you could always ask Neko and Lucky here," The kitten and the frosted tree nodded while giggling. "Come join us, it'll be fun. The food's the best. It's always so sweeeeeeeeeeeet~ I love Hannah!" Neko squealed in Pokemon language while Lucky clapped his hands. "See? I've even raised a cute little baby Pokemon and he's fine with me. I've also got more Pokemon with me so you'll never be lonely. So would you please?" Hannah asked sweetly. It was literal too as she got out a small muffin and handed it over at Surskit. 13 39/39(Being fed a muffin) 17 51/51(Hannah's not caring for him) |

.3 The Surskit looked at Neko and immediately thought she was just about the dumbest creature he ever met. He gave Paras a look; who returned the same condescending look promptly. Hannah also seemed to be an airhead -- and he did hear about how a girl savagely destroyed a Grimer and his best buddy with a barrage of attacks, including one from a baby Snover. The description fit her perfectly; and the Surskit started to slide backwards on his dainty long legs. The Paras, seeing how frightened the Surskit started to look, also scuttled away; but near enough to protect his friend. A muffin was offered; but he didn't know if it was with good intentions. The female had a long sly smile, her sweet tone forced and put on. The giggling tree seemed to be laughing menacingly and Surskit took another step back. He didn't like muffins anyway; he ate berries and things of the sort, not man-made food. Paras raised a claw and Surskit nodded. 1 - 2 - 3 Run! Paras was not as quick as his friend. Surskit slid over puddles, over the mud skating in the direction of Soggy Dirt while Paras headed towards Soggy Hillside. They separated, hoping that Hannah would not know whom to follow. They could always meet up again later at the Hillsides. Paras gave his friend one last look - I'll miss you. Surskit nodded grimly. If she managed wreck havoc to one of them... Follow Surskit or Paras or neither? |

.3 Hannah thought it was going rather pleasantly. Both Surskit and Paras didn't seem to have inflicted any attacks while was always good in Hannah's books. No attacks meant that they were listening right? And while they were listening, they were considering this once in a lifetime offer, right? Right. Hannah thought that the Surskit would most certainly agree to this grand idea. If he didn't, well, he must not understand how awesome Hannah and her team were. And he did not. Both Pokemon quickly ran away, the Surskit much more quicker than his friend. He glided away, pushing his legs upon the ground effortlessly while Paras scuttled in another direction. Typical! Hannah sighed, "That Surskit was crappy anyway, I don't need any weaklings on my team, right Neko, Lucky?" Neko and Lucky squealed in agreement. "Yes, that's why I have you guys. You're the best of the best. And that Surskit would totally stick out. He'd be a waste of a Pokeball anyway," Hannah huffed, rolling her eyes, "Let's just get to Mayriver quickly. I've heard that the Daycare there has been purchased by Vanishing Point and we members get some sort of discount or something. I'd like to try it out," Neko mewed, sounding excited even though she didn't know what the heck a Daycare was. But still it sounded cool! "So, let's move! Hey Lucky, if you spot some other wild Pokemon, try freezing them with Ice Beam okay? It'd be easy experience," Lucky nodded as he got ready to freeze any enemies she spotted. 17 51/51(Ice Beam at any Wild Pokemon) ~*~ Mist Valley --> Sinklands 1 --> Soggy Hillside --> Mayriver. .3 Somehow the Surskit kind of got lost in the way, and tried to find his friend. The Paras was nowhere to be seen though; so he skated. The demon girl must have gotten away though, right and left? He didn't see her chasing him so presumably she was after Paras. Oh poor Paras! His heart beat fast as his hope started to die -- could he be dead? Those spindly legs skated and sped over puddles of water, leaping when there were dry ground. The Sinklands were nothing to him. That was why in this hurry, he didn't notice the demon girl with her snowy monster . The Ice Beam came shooting quickly; the frosty energy narrowly missed the Surskit who was travelling at such a high velocity. However, he was shocked and scared that he got into a crash as he tripped over a piece of dry land. As he sat there dizzy, he looked up, seeing the female. It was the demon! He started to whimper. But anger started to fill his watery veins and in his loudest most defiant voice, he shouted, "Where's my friend? What have you done to him?" His body was shuddering in the worst way possible; what could she have possibly done? Was he even alive? 13 35/39

.3 Hannah certainly didn't appreciate that look Surskit gave her, that angry and shocked one. That look seemed to make it seem as though Surskit was looking for a fight. If he continued acting that way then he may just get one. Hannah wasn't in much of a good mood so the 'may' was more likely a 'will'. As long as that Surskit didn't step this anger up a notch, everything would be fine. And then, eep! There was a shout from the Surskit, a loud and angry 'Skiiiiiiit!!!' in Hannah's ears. Without Melody to translate, she assumed that this Surskit here wanted to battle. And a battle was what he was going to get. "Neko, you're going to take part in this. Fight with all you've got!" Hannah commanded while Neko hissed at the blue bug, sprawled out on the ground. "First of all, go for Sing and then follow up with Assist. Try and use a really strong move so we can knock him out. This thing disgusts me," Hannah scowls while Neko charges at the bug. 11 33/33(Sing + Assist) 13 25/39(???) |

0.2 ![]() And that was that. The Surskit was suddenly afraid for its life; this demon, who had obviously taken the life of its Paras friend, was back for more, was insatiably hungry, and was now after him. That, in itself, was a terrifying thought; if this demon were to take his life, too, then... he would not allow that. It was purely self-preservation that allowed it to act; the Surskit, being a fast, skittering creature, was nimble enough to ensconce Neko in a cloud of high-pressure bubbles shot directly from its mouth. The powerful bubblebeam was enough, momentarily, to deter Neko from an attack with the explosion of a high-speed stream of little air pockets. All of a sudden, Neko turned around and started to sing. The Surskit thought, for a bit, that it was a beautiful song, right before his eyes lidded and started shutting... The now-sleeping creature was an easy target for an Assist, but the thoughts of random creatures from the group settled on the Snover who had so recently been dousing the area with ice beams. How did that go again...? Neko couldn't remember. She tried, very hard, to remember how that went. However, it didn't work entirely. Instead, it conjured up a wind made of little ice shards, which on a water-type wasn't the best of ideas. Oh well. It'd been worth a shot, anyway. That was something. 11 16/33Sing ~ Assist (Icy Wind) 13 22/39 1/3SPD -1 Bubblebeam |

.3 Hannah facepalmed when she saw Neko let loose a gust of chilly air at the Pond Skater Pokemon. The last time she checked, icy moves weren't exactly super effective against water types. Actually wait! Now that she thought of it clearly, none of her Pokemon's moves were really effective against Surskit. Hannah sighed. Perhaps using Assist wasn't really what one would call a good move. But Neko didn't really have anything awesome like everyone else. She could stall but . Maybe Hannah would have to reconsider depositing Neko in the PC and replacing her with someone else. It did seem wrong considering Neko was a beloved member of Hannah's team but she had to find only the tough . That meant that this was going to be the last battle Hannah and Neko would have in a while. Hannah tried to sound calm while she commanded out moves, "Tackle Surskit. And then Assist. If he wakes up though, replace that Assist with another Sing please. Oh, and erm, Neko, try your best, give it all you got and always remember to never give up. Keep going until the very end okay?" The Fallen Angel's eyes were turning glassy as tears began appearing on the surface of her eyes. She couldn't stop them flowing down. Neko paused, confused for a moment. "It's just an allergy," Hannah gave a lame excuse, "Just do what I told you to," 11 33/33(Tackle + Assist. Replace the Assist with Sing if Surskit wakes up) Edited by Wish, Jan 21 2011, 08:27 AM.

.3 It's amazing how a sleeping pokemon can take anything one can dish out. A large blizzard; it can take it. Some fire? It can take it. Your fist? It will take it, although I don't advise you attack a pokemon. If you do, then you'll get those animal rights activist groups on your ass. Anyway, onto the battle. Surskit, who was still asleep, was wide open for an attack. Hannah knew this, and she had no problem using this opportunity to score as much damage as possible on the surskit. After she gave out her orders to her skitty, Neko, the pink cat pokemon charged and landed a tackle on the surskit. The surskit was still asleep, so Neko used assist. Neko danced around a little bit (cause that's how assist works?) but stopped shortly after and took a big, deep breath; she must have gotten a good move! She unleashed her attack, except it was a water gun so it did little to nothing damage. Thanks, staryu. Well, that was anti-climatic (hopefully), but luckily for you, surskit is still asleep, so this battle should be in the bag, eh?

.3 Hannah could only rub her eyes as she watched the fight going on. The fight just proved Neko's inability to battle and that just made Hannah want to cry even more. But she was fire, a person who burned strongly without things holding her back. She didn't need all this. None of it. But yet .. Hannah just couldn't help it. To see one of her best friends doing the task she was meant to be doing so badly was just .. Urgh. It was torture. And Hannah knew if she were to make it even further, she WOULD have to get rid of Neko. And that was she what was going to do. Although it may be tough, it may be hard but heck, she needed to do it. Her dreams were waiting to be accomplished and she couldn't risk bringing Neko everywhere. So, yes, she must do it. But only after this battle, "Neko, Assist twice. If Surskit wakes up, Sing. And that's it. Try your best, ok?" Hannah gave Neko a slight pat while she looked baffled with this odd behavior. But she did it anyway. 11 16/33 (Assist x2. 0.2 ![]() It was pretty much the luckiest thing ever that the Surskit didn't wake up straight away. At that point, Neko was pretty much being viewed as useless; Neko wanted to dip into her own move pool but could not because Hannah had some fixation on everyone else's moves. Did she think that Neko couldn't fight? Whatever. That would be dealt with later. One Psywave later and the Surskit still wasn't waking up. Hurrah, for Neko really did need the break in this fight. Now she just needed one more move, and... One Shadow Ball later and then indeed there was no more Surskit to speak of. It did wake up, actually... only to see that there was a ball of energy headed right for its face. The poor thing didn't even stand a chance, all things considered. Neko had indeed won by using other Pokémon's moves, but it could have done so much more with its own move pool. Ah, well. Victory was still sweet. 11 16/33- Gains 1.2 ![]() 13 0/39

.3 And the deed was done. The Surskit had fainted, Neko had leveled up but yet .. Why was Hannah still upset? She wasn't crying out loud of course because that would be totally humiliating. But she still was but very quietly. She quickly returned Neko, not wanting her to see that sad face of hers. Neko didn't need to know that her trainer was a horrible crybaby. Seriously, she didn't want Neko to see Hannah's crying face before she got rid of her forever. Lucky, however, got a pretty good glimpse and was wondering why. He watched the sparkly tears which dripped down Hannah's eyes. To him, they looked like tiny, glittering crystals and babies loved shiny things. Or at least this one did . Lucky's arm acted as a windshield as he tried to get a hold of them only to notice that they had magically disappeared into nothingness. Hannah thought that Lucky was telling her to get better though and gave him a slight pat on the head, "Thanks," Lucky looked baffled as he was thanked. What did he do? Getting rid of those crystals? Wasn't Hannah someone who enjoyed valuable treasure? Gah, whatever. He returned to his task of grabbing the tears. But they were gone. Damn it! He had destroyed all the gems. Hannah didn't seem to be mad though for whatever reason. But whatever, he didn't really want to get shouted at so it was fine either way. Hannah gave him a petite smile and walked off into the distance, making her way to the Soggy Hillsides. ~*~ Mist Valley --> Sinklands 1 --> Soggy Hillside --> Mayriver. Current place in bold. |

.3 Slowly, the potholes became less and less obvious, more and more shallow, and you were left with gentler sloping hills. They slid up and down, their mossy layers making it slippery to walk up and down. Every step was met with a mulching sound, squish squish squish, as water leaked with every footstep. You have reached the Soggy Hillsides. And what was that? A Paras skittering around, his heart still full of hope that he would find his friend the Surskit; his shiny bug eyes stared at you, realizing that you might have destroyed him. Surskit might have died in vain! His legs however shivered upon thinking of what you could do to him. He wasn't as brave as Surskit was, despite being stronger. He missed his friend -- he was a coward that always relied on his friend's encouragement. Maybe he was out there... somewhere? In any case, he tried to blend himself with the moss, hoping that Hannah wouldn't notice him. He hoped to capture some other wild Pokemon with a Leech Seed to nurse his friend back to health once he found him. Better to help than to get revenge, right? 17

.3 Finally, the Soggy Hillside! Hannah was nearly there, near to Mayriver, near to the Daycare Centre where she planned to dump in most of her Pokémon. She was planning to bring only those she found both close to her AND useful. And that narrowed it down to three Pokémon . Melody, her loyal and strong Misdreavus, always ready to do what Hannah tells her to do. Jiyu, her playful starter Pokémon who is always finding himself in trouble. And Lucky, her new baby Snover, the one who had thought her tears were crystals but whatever. The rest were going to go somewhere else and that was that. The PC for those who had mistreated her (Typhoon's place), abandoned for those she finds are strong enough, a new home for the ones she finds are weak and the rest, perhaps the Daycare. We had to see . But anyway, Hannah continued walking, failing to notice the Paras. And then she decided to run, just so she could sort out all the things. So she returned Lucky into his ball and then ran toward Mayriver. And she fell a lot of times. But whatever! Go, Hannah, go! Edited by Wish, Jan 23 2011, 01:18 AM.

.1 Indeed, the ground on the hillside seemed to sink slightly under Hannah's feet as she ran, causing her a fair amount of difficulty keeping her balance. That did not seem to stop her, however, no matter how many times she faceplanted. But it really wasn't getting her to Mayriver and faster than normal. Perhaps a slower but steadier pace might be more of a benefit to Hannah... as well as her clothing, for it now sported a vast amount of damp grass and dirt stains. Those would be a pain to get out for sure! As the girl took yet another fall, her palm hit a patch of particularly hard earth that did not give way like the rest of the area. Well, at least it wasn't her face that caught the rough spot. What was it about that patch of ground, though? Probably just a rock; there were certainly enough of those out here! Mayriver loomed off in the distance, her position on the hill allowing her to see the whole of the city below. What a beautiful sight! She could be there perhaps within a half hour, if she could just manage not to trip so much! |

.3 (Trying to type in first person instead of third person) It's very tiring and difficult to run up the hills without falling since the ground it's very easy to slip thanks to the wet ground. And almost most of the patches of ground devoured your feet. But I had to be patient. It would take only a few more steps and I would finally be in a town and I could finally clear my clothes of this irritating mud which clung on my shirt and pants. If Melody was here, she would certainly cheer me on while whizzing off in the distance. She would make this chore quite fun. But unfortunately, Melody fainted so no fun for me. >.> But whatever. I could already see Mayriver in the distance while I stood at what seemed to be the peak or at least a place high enough. And now, there was only one last task to do and that was to climb down. I knew that I had to do this very carefully or risk sliding down the hill to break an arm or something. All of my Pokémon were safe in their Pokémon so there would be no interruptions. I took a breath and then I went down, not caring for the Pokémon which wondered around me. There was only one thing on my mind. Mayriver. Current Place: Soggy Hillsides. Next Place: Mayriver. 0.2 ![]() Running through mud was no easy feat, as pretty much everyone ever knew. The slipping and sliding, the general difficulty of getting through the mud that wanted to cling and enter your shoes... it was not fun for anyone to do, unless you were pretty much crazy. Definitely not on the recommended list of things to do at all ever. However, that said, the running eventually got to subside as the journey came to a slow close. The hills turned to flatlands, the mountains turned to seas, and the bought and shining town of Mayriver loomed ahead. It was... well, it was a beautiful scene. All that hard work and travel had finally paid off to coalesce into the destination you'd been working so hard to get to. Finally. Everything was going to be okay now. What lay ahead? Who knew. You'd just have to find out. Reached: Mayriver |

from that little race. What was happening?
