Firstly let us take care of preliminaries: Im spending all of the freeform EXP I just earned on Winston, which is 12.1. This raises Winston 8 levels, from level 5 to level 13 at 0.1/1.5, and he learns a whole bunch of moves along the way. Secondly in summation Albions visiting the TM house and the berry king for the first time and he will require a respecting berry/TM mod, if you don't feel like reading the post. Thanks! Finally, hed left home. No longer was he under the auspices of another; Albion Marius was now a totally free man. With every footstep he took down cobblestone streets, his armour clanked, still guiding his Ponyta along with one free hand and gazing about at the myriad people. There were so many things that Albion had the choice of doing for now, but which of those paths could he take first? What resources now were available to him on this journey? The variety of items Alfred had obtained for him were strange and, for the most part, left alone while Albion pondered, walking the citys main street deep in thought. A few passers-by offered well wishes, to which Albion was genial but curt, his thoughts overflowing like water from a cup. His walking took him straight to a red-roofed building with a number of large signs indicating its purpose; this was a Pokémon Centre, which he knew a little about. It was designed for the healing of Pokémon and rest of weary travelling Pokémon Trainers, who, in Escennia, would need any place that welcomed them with open arms. A quick decision to enter the building, and Albion was conversing straight away with the nearest person he could find, asking them in plain terms what resources were available for Trainers. Three things struck him as ideal from the answer of the young boy who, according to the fact he owned a Rattata and, in his own words, liked shorts because they were comfy and easy to wear, seemed to know his business well. One place that was a specialty Trainer store, the building known as a Berry King, and a place called the TM House. Albion had general knowledge on all three but understood not the mechanics. The young boy, whose name Albion didnt catch, was thanked immediately, and the squire left the Centre in higher spirits. He knew what he had to do. Im Joey! the boy called out after. Albion was no longer able to hear the poor souls verbal flailing. The forays into the TM House and the Berry King were almost exactly identical; he recalled Winston, gear and all, into the Poké Ball he came in, then walked nervously into each of the buildings, stood in the rather short lines, and explained that he was a new Trainer and required whatever assistance that they could render him. Strange wordings? Yes. However, it would, hopefully, get him what he needed, one after the other. Winston would find out about it all right after the debacles were finished, much to the Ponytas amusement. How silly Albion could be when dealing with strange situations like this. |

0.3 - Yay for new SC!It didn't matter to the Berry King or to the TM House. Either way, you were a berry/TM grubbing trainer in their opinion, and they knew exactly how to deal with them. The Berry House just shoved a and in your face, while the TM dude just chucked TM 16 (Light Screen) in your face. This mod, however, isn't that lazy as to throw you a berry mod and scoot. And so, she decided to give you a stroke of good luck! You know when you scoot around in your GBA/DS Pokemon games and notice a sudden familiar red-and-white sphere staying stationary in their spot, waiting for you to grab them? And as a typical 'we're gonna scrimp and take everything we get' trainer (sorry, godmodding here), you will still check to see whether this was a Power Plant or something before you picked up the ball. Nope, this isn't TR's hideout either. So you get a lucky break and pick up the thing, which obviously is a Pokeball. Because unlike your console games, every item-on-the-ground has the exact damn sprite to maintain the suspense of what you get. That is, if you never use Gamefaqs to find those ridiculously well-hidden easter eggs. Ah well, at least you're not up for a big surpris- 'Voltorb.' AHAHAHAHA THAT IS SUCH A CREATIVE ENCOUNTER DON'T YOU THINK Okay, I'm a lazy mod after all. Really sorry about that. Lv. 10 | 30/30 ![]() ~ Being a Voltorb, which indicates a PMS attitude. |

0.3 ![]() Grateful for each of the gifts that he had received (including, to Albion's surprise, a bag for the strange fruits and a case for the disc), Albion left each structure and allowed Winston back out of the metal shell he had been so ensconced in, allowing him to travel freely as they walked. It was far simpler that way, to just... walk, and converse, with a partner. Winston's whinnying was welcomed by the young squire, a source of friendship and, simply, someone to talk to, on a journey that would otherwise be long and arduous without someone there to speak to. However, that did not make the journey any more... eventful. As soon as Winston's nose nudged the red-and-white ball, Albion picked it up, only to drop it and realise that it was a Pokémon! Immediately, his thought was to allow Winston to have at it...and, well, Winston seemed to want to have at it. Therefore, why not? Why not let Winston test his mettle in a battle? However, Albion had no idea what to do. He'd never battled before in his entire life! So, he went with the easy option. Pulling the bit and bridle, as well as the carry-bags, off his most trusted friend, Albion freed all the weight off the horse as Winston shook his head and neighed. Yes, he wanted to have a go; he was brimming with all that unreleased energy! Yes, allow the pony to test its might... "Winston, you must be faster than it!" he called, unsure. He'd never battled before and had no idea what he was doing, frankly. So saying, the Ponyta was already running around in a high-speed circle, releasing all the tension from his muscled before charging its hooves with wreaths of flame and making a mighty attempt to step down on the little disguised creature that had decided to attack. Gotta start somewhere, right?

.3 Winston unleashed a fiery Blaze Kick down onto the small orb of a pokemon. The fire in his mane seemed to flare up in the excitement of battle as he bore his super-heated hoof down, a cracking sound punctuating the voltorb's immediate pain. It was severely damaged from the single blow, and all the more enraged. The voltorb wobbled back and forth, mimicking the movements of a pokeball as it readied itself for its own attack. A whine began to emanate from within it, growing in volume exponentially for almost a second until the sound cracked like a giant whip directly at the assaulting ponyta's face. If it was going down, it was certainly going to do as much damage as possible on its way. *** 10 13/30 used Sonic Boom vs. 13 19/39

0.2 Just for simplicity I'll tidy up all the stuff into a neat table, including status changes. Don't forget to note 'em, Tabris (it does take a while to get used to) but hey, I liked the attempt, so keep it up! Also, please try to account for everything posted by a player in a mod. On with the story!Winston recoiled in terror as the sound, totally new to his ears, burst through the skies. He was not entirely afear'd of this little ball, but instead prepared to hit his opponent again. After all, the best way to deal with this annoyance was, apparently, to whack it until it fell over. That was simple enough in Winston's mind that he could do it and, to be totally honest, it sounded like a whole lot of fun at that point. Meanwhile, Albion looked on carefully, allowing Winston the chance to do this his way. Of course, it was never a good thing to see his companion and partner hurt, and so he felt sorrow for having him fight this battle. It would be some critical experience for the both of them, which was the only reason that the squire allowed this to continue. He had to bank on one fact now, that his Ponyta would be faster, and use that to their advantage. One last shot. "Do it again!" he called, cupping his hands to his mouth as he did so. A whinny from the miniature pony before its feet charged once more with wreaths of flame, but this time not just one, but two - and, instead, trying to perform a quick two-step on the top of the Voltorb's head to get it out of this fight. He just had to keep the pressure up, right? Winston liked to think he was more than a one-trick pony. In fact, Winston was smart! He was more like a ten-trick pony or something! Gonna show this little creepy ball thing what for and give it the ol' one-two! Someone indeed was a happy little horse, neighing and whinnying all while performing the ersatz fire-dance atop the upper dome of the Voltorb.

"I was born into Bolívar's labyrinth, and so I must believe in the hope of Rabelais' Great Perhaps."

0.3 Agility is +2 Speed. >: The pokeball looking pokemon rolled in place, looking around at the surroundings. He couldn't find a place to hide from the pony. It was rather open space and he couldn't roll fast enough to get away from the speed enhanced miniature pony. Obviously Winston was a smart pokemon and could easily make his way around the city on his four hooves. At the sound of his trainer's shouting he whinnied charging at the orb of a pokemon. The Voltorb couldn't really do much but rocked back and forth (side to side) trying to get away. Winston followed the rocking pokemon with hooves ablaze. He wasn't going to let the pokemon get away since he had gotten his orders from his trainer and wasn't going to disappoint at this time. He followed the orb pokemon until it stopped, stomping down on the orb as hard as it could with his flaming hooves. Soon after, he kicked the orb far... far away, even away from sight, obviously fainting the Voltorb. Once Winston was done with the attacking with his hooves, he galloped back to his trainer with out another neigh. Damn, when that Voltorb wakes up, I wouldn't want to be around to see it explode, just saying.

0.3 blaaah x_xVictory! Winston had fought his first foe and come out victorious, to which Albion was pleased. Truly, he had the makings yet of a warrior, a fact that the squire was most pleased with. Now that he was fully confident in the abilities of his partner, Albion could make some serious headway into his journey, perhaps even securing up some other things to be done. More allies to be met, perhaps, and more battles to be fought... many things had to be done in order for things to progress. Replacing Winston's saddlebags, Albion went to the pony's side and stroked its muzzle carefully, nothing but smiles on his lips. "You did well, Winston," he cooed softly, knowing that only positive reinforcement for the horse would help. This had been a valuable experience - but one that needed a quick remedy. The horse was summoned back into its Poké Ball and a second trip made to the Pokémon Centre in order to finish some additional tasks. On the way, however, he spotted a poster bearing the insignia of an 'Opaddeka military Establishment'-- and, curious, he stored the number in his memory for future use. Perhaps he'd call it while Winston was healing. Why not? Perhaps it warranted some investigation. There was still much to be done. Okay before we go out into the wild! Winston is currently 13 with 0.9 :exp. Let's spend all 2.1 of Albion's on him, bringing him to an even 15 with 0.0 :exp. Huzzah! This is also where we'll insert the OME stuff. And we'll come back to this thread later maybe! *plots freeform* |

The events of the previous day had been... well, eventful. Albion had flown over to Icicle Island in order to enlist within the Opaddeka Military Establishment and had been rather successful in doing so, a fact that the squire was rather proud of. He'd done well, even engaging their General in a mock battle and learning much about the organisation in general. That much was enough to make him proud. He did, however, have a lot to think about, such as his placement within that military, and knew that if he wanted to serve his country, he needed to become stronger. Both he and Winston. The Ponyta in question was now in fact walking beside him, whilst Albion carried the majority of his belongings in a rucksack on his back. It was easier for what he had in mind, and Winston could more quickly enter a battle this way. He had proven his strength once in Escennia, and another battle would certainly help the young Ponyta on its quest to learn more about battle. They both needed it, really. Albion and Winston had both agreed that whatever they came across first that was willing to test their might would be their opponent. Human or Pokémon, it mattered not to the squire and his steed. They'd take the challenge gratefully, and taking out the Pokétech that he'd been given when he'd left home, Albion switched on two of its functions: the Pokéradar and the Battle Searcher, both ways to indicate anything that could be challenged. This was the normal way to do it, right? Either way, Albion was ready. All he had to do now was find his opponent. More like we'll come back to this thread now. Searching for more wild Pokémon to fight, or a trainer. |

"How many assholes we got on this ship anyhow?"
|
.2 X 2 The device led the way like a compass. Through alley's, down back streets, and away from town into suburbia. The rural socialites of the city were having a giant yard sale! Most the booths and tables sported plain old useless junk - but at awesome prices. WOW! That ugly shirt from last years fall festival was only a dime! A steal. All around people bargained and browsed. But not a trainer was to be found. At least none that wanted to battle. They all wanted to shop. However, you need not despair for that old fellow by that aging stone house where morning glory grew in abundance and scaled the walls was waving you over. "Ye look a wee bit outa place here, laddy." He nodded from his creaking wooding rocking chair while enjoying the shade of his spider infested front porch. "I reckon I might have exactly what yer lookin fer. Take a gander at dat dar mirror by the stoop and tell me what ye see." By the crumbling stone steps stood an old dressing mirror covered in a sheet with billowed about its base in the breeze. The mirror itself was of antiqued silver, oval in shape and as tall and wide as an average man. Should Albion pull the sheet away and gaze into its depths, he might be surprise to see his identical twin staring right back at him. That's right, his reflection! Ooooh. Yeah, not impressed old dude. So what's up with the mirror? Was he trying to sell the knight some magic beans or what? "Five zennie for dat pretty mirror, my lad. Ye'll never find a'nurder like eet." There was something funny about the reflection though. If Albion was the attentive sort, he might see that if he looked away, his reflection was just ever so slightly out of sync. |

0.4 oh god that's awesomeAlbion had never expected anything like this. Idly, he wondered if his family were anywhere nearby, selling something off. Probably one of his possessions, if they were; not like he minded. Albion had his own plans these days, and he'd be okay if they needed a bit of extra money to sell some crazy heirlooms or something along those lines. Indeed, the squire wondered if it was a good time to even see his family... but he had barely left home. He needed a little more resolve than this to continue his quest if he wanted to stand on his own two feet. That was way more important. There seemed to be one sort-of-creepy man who wanted to sell Albion something, though. yes, he looked out of place... but in Escennia the sight of a guy wandering around in plated armour was probably common by now, or would at least bring up memories of Ablion's father who did the same thing. No matter. Not here to cash in on his father's fame. With a polite nod, Albion lifted the veil over the object to reveal... a plain mirror. How sadly droll, he mused, turning to Winston who was currently parading himself in front of the mirror and preening. That brought a smile to the squire's lips, seeing his partner at least enjoying it. However, a momentary flicker of the horse within its sight made Albion realise... they were moving out of sync. When Winston's head turned this way and that, the mirror was... slow? It was easier to watch his partner moving, at the very least. And that was strange in itself. Perhaps this old man was right and he'd never find another one like it. "Sir," Albion began, his curiosity piqued. "Tell me, what do you believe is special about this mirror? Surely you wouldn't sell it otherwise." |

.3 (Real quicky, mod, and i guess this is mini story-lined if you decide to buy the mirror. At least until I reveal what the mirror is, then anyone can mod it again.) "Special?" The old man grinned, showing off the only tooth is his head. "Why, I don think I said anythen abut eet bein' special. But eet is a pretty thang, don ya think? Lot'o histry behind dat ol' mirror, dere is. I jus think eet's time to pass eet on. Maybe you've alread'i fund somethin' special abut eet, eh?" He chuckled softly to him self and went right on rocking. "Only five zennie, if ye wan dat." He leaned back and closed his eyes, pretending to doze. So, the old man wasn't going to say what was special about his magic beans...err, mirror. But the mirror was certainly not normal. Albion's reflection grinned meanly as he looks away from it and to the old man. Winston's reflection twitched and pawed a direct challenge before resuming its play at mock reflection. Well, it was cheap enough, to say the least, but what it could be about was a mystery not likely to reveal itself in the middle of a neighborhood yard sale. |

0.2 (This is going to be a short post but I need to keep moving so I can do this freeform. also, I'm sick. blech.)"Well..." Can I really carry a mirror with me? I don't have the time to lug something around, since I'm sort of busy. And where would I even carry it? That thing isn't any kind of small. I think... I do want to know what it's doing, but there's just so much against it... Albion needed to make a quick decision. What was the purpose of this mirror and why were the two reflections being so... recalcitrant? This was, by no means, any ordinary mirror. The decision still had to be made, however, and there was a lot on Albion's mind at that point in time. To buy the mirror or not? "...my apologies, sir, but I don't think a mirror is what I'm looking for." He couldn't carry it and he had nowhere to put it. Why would he purchase it otherwise? It wasn't a question of a lack of interest, it was far more about practicality. Albion needed to be more concerned with how things were carried and how it would impede his progress otherwise. It was not the old man's fault by any means. A sad bow of his head and Albion was off once more, headed straight to the Pokémon Center for a quick stop-over-- a certain 'package' had arrived for him-- and then back to his task of locating a wild Pokémon or a trainer to fight. Complete with a new ally this time - the Horsea, Catriona. Passing up storyline, sadface. Looking for a trainer or a wild Pokemon. 0.3 - Go take yer shizSo you gave up on an opportunity to buy a Of all the random people you brushed against, most were simply trainers trying to find a cheap bargain in such an exotic place or residents who were often well-versed in the act of trading with these roadside vendors. Among the ordinary crowd you picked out the typical pretty girl and all, but otherwise it was quite a boring march until... This act of walking around was pretty monotonous and boring, and if it were translated into a webcomic I would be trolling you with 50 frames of you simply squeezing through the crowd. Yet, just as you were almost back to the main street, you accidentally bumped into this particular reedy fella who was heading in the opposite direction from you. He staggered at the slightest touch, but before you could take another move two gigantic shadows stirred and took you by surprise. The pressure alone forced you onto the main street where there was more space, but heads were turned towards you now. It seemed that you were stuck in some sort of trouble, and people were here to watch the show. 'Who do you think you are, vagrant, brushing against my royal body? Show him, Zir, Nir.' The two shadows revealed to be extremely burly bodyguards, now pulling out a Pokeball each on their own. Amongst the incessant chattering you could barely discern some cocky talk from the insolent brat, but that wasn't your main concern right now. You were sandwiched between two 'trainers', both of which were equally bound to their duty to defeat you. They didn't say anything either, but simply summoned their Pokemon. Maybe if you didn't really want to fight, you can end this conflict with an apology. But since you're itching for a battle, no harm trying. Right?
Geez, I'm lazy. |

0.3 ![]() Well this was not the ideal situation. Indeed, Albion had not intended to run into anyone and now he was going to pay for any negligence he might have enacted. He was being accosted by a citizen who didn't recognise the knightly armour of Escennia, and that made things difficult. How was he going to get out of this one. Try apologizing, Albion. "I extend to you my deepest apologies. I did not mean to cause you any disrespect. My name is Albion Marius, squire of this fair city... however, if it is a battle you are looking for, may I politely request a friendly match? Winston! Catriona!" The Horsea popped out of its Poké Ball at the sound of her name, knowing that it was indeed time for a battle. Winston was the same, and Albion smiled at the both of them, scratching gently behind Winston's ears and holding the Horsea in his arms, knowing that a Water-type out in the open without any water to rest in was a bad situation indeed. At this point, however, did Albion have much other choice? Sadly, no. Catriona was already eyeing off both Winston and the Houndour, trying to decide which one was more attractive. The Ponyta, on one hand, wasn't there to hurt her. This was fortuitous for Catriona, and it meant that she was likely to follow Winston, which played to Albion's advantage. "Go, Winston!" Winston and Albion had rehearsed this particular set of tactics a couple of times; they knew what to do. Catriona was new to this whole thing, so Albion knew he would have to walk her through this and help her out as much as he could. Which was, to be fair, a great idea. Show her a bit of love and care, foster the bonds of trust and respect, right? Both of his partners were deserving of that. The Horsea took the chance to leap out of Albion's grasp and hop closer towards the Ponyta. "Okay, Catriona. You need to help Winston by attacking his target. That way, this gets easier!" Albion commented as Catriona made her first bounce off the ground, smiling at her in doing so. Winston shot off like a rocket right for the Mankey, summoning up some flames and throwing a wheel of them right at the monkeything. In the meantime, Catriona was summoning up a smokescreen to obscure the vision of both of their enemies. That gave Winston a chance to get the heck out of the way while Catriona shot off some serious salt water blasts at the Mankey - cool it down and hurt it with that 'hurts more if they're hurt more' move at the same time, great idea! Hopefully, their teamwork would work well together. Lookin' for for both Catriona and Winston through all the stuff that's happened in this thread. =x

0.3 - Winston gets... 2 for everything up there! You never did any shiz, but your RPing the Ponyta was really cute and showed quite how much the Ponyta enjoyed his time with you. Catriona... well, let's just say the Whore-sea ain't too acquainted with you yet: a smile's not gonna change A LOT. Still, 1/2 for her, the little skank.Albion's apology fell on deaf ears, as upon scrutiny of your Pokemon the snobbish rich guy had disappeared into the crowd. Apparently, he didn't think that a squire was worth much of his time, and his lingered existence in battling against a lowly squire like you in the midst of the low-end market would do no good to his reputation. He was here to snag up some bargains, trying to get those invaluable things that people thought were simply ordinary artifacts. You? Your decently leveled Pokemon was probably worth some fun for the guards. He, however, had more important things to do than to entertain himself with thrashing you. Not that he was all that powerful, of course, but he did have a decent full team. Just so you know, he would never be weaker than his guards. Just because all the royalty and stuck up people and the like often had stereotypically more powerful teams for setting the game's difficulty and so on - okay, we're getting off topic. In any case, the guards were probably the most perfectly mirrored statues you've seen, not merely in stature but in expression as well. They definitely weren't impressed by your speech, but it was almost arguable that they were simply like that. Taught to be stony-faced, brainwashed to be oblivious to what they call frivolous displays of emotion. They were simply a tool more than a human, and they knew it. They even accepted it, though of course they were treated like humans. Just... less free than what you would call an average citizen. Still, they did pose a good fight. Winston, being the fastest Pokemon in the bout, rushed into the fray with a flaming body and rammed straight into the furious Mankey. The Mankey, though not burned too drastically, did experience quite some pain: the little creaure ain't suited to take much damage. The Ponyta merely trotted back to its spot, as though it was used to ramming into Pokemon all his life, and relaxed enough to boost its agility. The horse never failed to drop you an affectionate neigh: this guy was getting comfortable under your control, now. On the other hand, this skank wasn't quite used to battling and jumping on her opponents, over bitching about her various flings and simply being a bimbo. Nevertheless, a Horsea was still naturally slower than the two Pokemon just as the Ponyta was so much faster. The Mankey, furious that the Catriona was looking at her darling so dismissively (though obviously trying to hook the Houndour up), simply jumped up and gave the Horsea a harsh Low Kick, hurting the little skank in return for trying to disregard HER presence. Then she started scratching your Winston, though she didn't go on for long: only 3 bouts of Fury Swipes. It was as though the Mankey was trying to tell the Ponyta to keep his shrew on the leash. Then things got more complicated. Being a gentleman, and because 'open' females got the attention of males more easily, the Houndour simply indicated for Catriona to fire her shiz first. And of course, the Horsea didn't do it without a flirty wink at the Houndour. And then, she started to spew out a black cloud of smoke, as though she was trying to play up her own elusiveness. (you know what people of different gender do in the dark. Well, Pokemon work in similar ways) Problem was, the Smokescreen was countered by Houndour's own Smog, and what was meant to be a cloud of darkness that plagued the bodyguards' Pokemon was instead stuck mid-field: Either side couldn't strike the other without passing that thick toxic haze. And anything that were to pass through that might miss their attacks (coz you obviously can't see through the darkness) and actually be poisoned. The Howling of the Houndour alerted Catriona to the location of her opponents, but she was supposed to fire only at the Mankey. And so she tried... with not a very successful shot. Mankey only got a graze, which was enough to hurt. The Brine was definitely not her full potential though. Look on the bright side. At least Mankey cannot attack through the darkness without being hurt herself.
CONDITION: Fog in the middle, Accuracy dips to 50% when attempting to strike from within the fog/ firing projectiles through the fog. Possibility of Poison if Pokemon goes into the fog without any protection. |

0.3 Not in the mood to make a long post so let's see. also FONT COLOUR CHANGE GOSo there was a big dangerous cloud in the middle of the battlefield and that was a bad sign. Albion didn't exactly want to have to deal with all of that at this point, and neither did his compatriots. However, as a stroke of smartness, Albion pulled out his Pokédex and examined the data on bot a Horsea and a Ponyta quickly, scrolling through their move-sets and putting a little bit of thought into what had to be done next. Poisonous things burned well, too. "Winston! Flame Wheel that smoke and scare them with a Growl! Catriona, help him by shooting some water into the cloud and try to find that Mankey with a Water Gun!" Hopefully, the result would be a big boom and then some steam created; the heat combined with the water would, hopefully, make a massive layer of temporary steam that would evaporate. Albion just needed to buy a little more time. And, for now, they were leaving that Houndour alone...

0.2 Sorry that my mod is not as good as Kari's :/Orders have been given, and the battle resumed. No words had left the silent bodyguards, since their Pokemon already knew how to proceed. They have done this to interlopers and their Pokemon so many times it had become standard practice. These are professionals that you are dealing with. Rambling besides, not even they are prepared for what would happen next. In compliance to your orders, Winston did his best to curl up into a ball and get ignited into a fiery wheel. He charged into the poisoned fog. The result was a tremendous explosion causing the nearby crowd of people to scream and shield their faces and run and all that. The bodyguards also shielded their faces, but remained resolute in the face of the explosion. You get -1 for somewhat intentionally causing an explosion nearby a crowd of people. As for the Pokemon caught inside the explosion and the blast radius, it was even worse. They took some damage from the explosion. In the midst of it all stood Winston, burnt but otherwise standing strong. While the Houndour and Mankey were recovering from the explosion, he let out a growl that reduced their fighting spirit. They will not give up though. They will stick to their usual method: Beat the opponent senseless. How will they achieve this? Simple. Beat Up. That's right, you read it right: Beat Up. The Houndour barked out at the Mankey to help him beat up Winston. This offender must be put down immediately! The Mankey was more than happy to comply. She wanted to make that Ponyta pay for burning her beautiful fur like that, and she wanted to get back at that skank for grazing her beautiful fur like that earlier. The two ganged up on the Ponyta, pommeling him with swipes, scratches, and bites. It was ended with a Karate Chop right in the neck, and Winston is down! Catri wasn't about to let that go by, though. She saw her opportunity, took aim, and sniped that Mankey down with a Water Gun. Normally, the Houndour would retaliate immediately, but he was such a gentleman. He did not like the idea of going up against females, but the Horsea DID take out his battling partner. Furthermore, just one attack would enable him to be the victor. In an act of mercy, he indicated that Catri would be allowed to have a shot at taking him out. Catriona simply stared at the Houndour in surprise. Sure she may have liked the Houndour initially, but that was a simple feeling of "like". Winston causing the explosion and injuring her in the process, add in the fact that the Houndour had pretty much left her alone so far, had cemented her feelings as to which male she liked better. The Houndour saw that the Horsea was a bit hesitant in taking her chance in attacking him before he did. The dog sighed. He didn't like this, but there was no other way. He had to end this swiftly. "Please forgive me. I'll make this quick." He shot some embers at the Horsea, which was enough to knock her out due to the strange boost that the explosion had given him. With that, the battle was over. The Mankey's trainer recalled her into her Pokeball, and the two bodyguards, along with the Houndour, retreated into the crowd amidst a huge round of applause. The Explosion: This is a simple kind of an explosion, but with a hidden fire element in it. What this means is that it is like Selfdestruct, but with different damage scaling and that it ignores weaknesses and resistances. Any combatant caught directly inside the explosion will be dealt 100% of its maximum health in damage. All combatants in the blast radius would be dealt 50% of their maximum health in damage. Since the explosion was triggered by Flame Wheel, those with Flash Fire as their ability would have the damage reduced further by 50% and activates the ability.

0.3 for being honest. unlike this current trend of giving 0.2 when things go sour, what's up with that. One word: FUCK. Albion would never had said it aloud, of course; he wasn't one prepositioned to swearing. He was, however, completely cursing himself under the power of his failure, and the shame that burned in his ears at his utter defeat at making that insane mistake... well, needless to say he wanted to get out of there as fast as he could. This was not how a knight of this city should have been acting. He should have more carefully analysed the situation and then acted. This was not how a trained knight of this city should have been at all. In fact, this was beyond shameful; this was idiotic. Why had he done it in the first place, even? Ugh, he wanted to impale himself upon his own sword and leave it at that. However, there would be more time for battles. His first stop would have to be the Pokémon Center, to patch up his two team-mates. That had been a bad experience for all of them - it needed to be fixed. They were his top priority now after that battle; he needed to undo the damage that he'd wrought on those he cared about. It was certainly not fair on them for anything like this to have happened, especially considering the earlier events of that same day. Two explosions in Escennia was... unthinkable, and he, Albion Marius, had been the indirect cause of both. Once he'd handed over the two Pokémon, he instructed the healer that he would be back momentarily; this was a chance to rush down the the Berry King and collect on those he had missed, therefore giving him something he could use to feed his two little injured critters and maybe relieve their pain a little. However, this wasn't just physical pain, it was emotional pain that needed to be dealt with, and Albion knew that he needed to do it quickly. Upon his return, the nurse returned the two Poké Balls he owned and with a gracious thank-you, Albion opened them both; Winston curled up on the floor and Catriona was brought into Albion's arms looking dejected. One arm for Catriona and one hand to pet Winston's muzzle. Things had not gone well. Now, however, Albion needed to look past his own dejection and towards a future that was still to come. There was a lot to tell them. He had to lift their spirits, and his, with just words. It would not be easy but he had to try for their sake. "I know, I made a mistake. That was my fault and mine alone. We probably could have won that if I hadn't been so stupid. Next time, though... I promise we'll win. The good thing is that we're around to learn from our mistakes, and we're going to learn so much that the two of you will be amazing fighters because of it. I promise. So cheer up! We've still got an entire adventure to come along. You both did extremely well in that fight and showed me just how strong you both were. You beat your first enemy today, Catriona! Both of you won a fight today, right? So it's not all bad. Next time we'll just make it so that we win both halves of a fight. I believe we can do it." It would, hopefully, be enough. Two weeks since last berry-ing. I shall collect on that immediately. Looking for for Catriona/Winston. |

okay this is going to be hilarious. TIME TO SPEND GENXP AND FFEXP The happiness is applied from here. 18.6 from modding, 2.1 from journeying and 28.4 is a total of 49.1 to spend. That's 32 levels, with an extra 1.1. Needless to say this is all getting spent!- 25 levels onto Winston (37.5 EXP), bringing him from level 15 to level 40. He evolves (at 40). RAPIDAAAAAAASH GO. New Advance moves... well, one new advance move, of Bounce. Flare Blitz remains. - 7 levels onto Catriona (10.5 EXP), bringing her from level 16 to level 23. Agility is replaced with Dragon Pulse as an Advance Move. Total of 48.0 EXP spent. This leaves me with 1.1 Mod-based GenXP. Whew. Popping Catriona in the box. APL is now 40. YEAH BOI. (gonna catch me some pokeymans) I will be RPing all of this... soon! I'll have a post up here eventually detailing what's about to happen. |

His nose probably wouldn't be the same again, Albion lamented, before sighing and getting the heck on with what he was meant to do. First, the squire ran a mental inventory of everything he was carrying. Backpack full of supplies? Check. Food, water, tent, sleeping roll. The bare basics, but it would do for now. There was no magic storage device that he had to carry everything. Sword? Check. Freshly polished and sharpened after his battle with Akasha Vorlent, he was ready to go out into the world and defend himself from wrongdoers. Armour? Check. It, too, was clean, un-dented, and ready to go. It had saved his life once, of course, and it would continue to do so. Albion now had many decisions to make. First, where to go? And what to do along the way? Perhaps he needed to investigate this group marked with a U... and, he knew one thing: Criminal elements populated a town in the west, a bustling metropolis sister to Brightopolis. KBVille. Perhaps it was there he would find his answers about this marauding group of bandits. However, he also needed to acquire more warriors for his battle against them. Each of them would need to be trained and ready for the inevitable conflict, taking up more time - this was not a simple matter. Only the best and most battle-ready fighters could be taken on this quest. To that end, he needed more Pokémon, and a clearly-defined plan of action to get him there. Catriona was a Water-type and was struggling on land, but there was no water to speak of nearby... he needed to remedy that somehow. She needed a little time to rest, regardless. It was with a solemn heart that he placed her Poké Ball back in the computer, but only after he had pulled her out of her metallic shell and held her in his arms. She needed love and affection, but for that, she needed the right habitat. It would be his first priority. "I will be taking you to the beach - for now, rest." A kind smile and then the return, placed in temporary stasis. So now he knew where he was going - to the beach, by way of Brightopolis, where he could stop up and prepare for his trip, then head out. And where could he find more Pokémon? On the grasslands, likely. Search for those that would be powerful combatants and additions to the team. He had a small stock of capturing devices; hopefully, what he had would be enough, but even so he purchased a few more to be on the safe side. With that done... well, he was ready, wasn't he? He had supplies and he had Winston at his side. The Ponyta walked with him as they approached the city gates, and from their vantage point on the hill, Albion could see the majestic grasslands in front of them. "It's you and I, Winston. This will be a challenge. I'm going to need all of your prowess - I need every bit of strength you can lend me." The Ponyta whinnied and, in a surprising turn of events, began to glow. The power that Winston would lend was to go so far to evolve for the trainer he cared much about, ready to take on all the challenges of the world in front of them. Albion grinned broadly and petted the muzzle of the majestic Ponyta- no, now it was something far greater. A Rapidash. The great mount of the knight. Winston had entirely literally evolved to meet the challenges that they were about to face. His willpower was so great that he would go to that length for Albion. He was, truly, a loyal friend indeed. Albion slowly clambered upon the back of the horse, ready to venture out onto the grasslands - now, he was ready. Bought three Poke Balls at 200z each (600z spent, bringing Albion to 6975z). Healed, obviously evolved Winston, ready to head out. LET'S ROCK. |
