There is a limit to one pokemon per species to be in the containment unit at any given time.

Add 500 for uncommon pokemon or eggs
Add 1,000 for Rare pokemon and eggs
Rarity is determined by the list in the moderator forum: Rarity List

Level:
0>4 - 500z
5>10 - 1,000z
11>20 - 2,000z
21>30 - 3,000z
31>40 - 4,000z
41>50 - 5,000z
Etc

When returning a rented pokemon you will receive 500z for every one level you raised it, 100z for every happiness, and 1000z per non-level up move youve taught it.

NOTE: When teaching non-level up moves to the pokemon, please keep in mind the slot restrictions available to their level.

So the above is what we currently have. Frac's list doesn't have everything. Whatever we do end up making, we need to make sure is not overly inflated and doesn't take away from the appeal of trading and selling to others. While I like the idea of a small bonus for a fully evolved pokemon, I don't want to make this too overly complicated to figure out. Likewise, for the sale price, the tag should be a little higher for a no stat pokemon VS something that's been trained on missions and has OME earned happiness/EV's/TM's/MT's Etc...

So if you have ideas, great time to throw them out there, we can get this nailed down so its more appealing to everybody. I don't know too much about the new team yet, but I do know it's going to kick ass, give our members a run for their money, and be just as or more appealing to people as far as joining.

Well, just based off of what I've seen of stuff in the CU already, like I said in the thread: 250z per first stage Pokemon (that can still evolve. Something like Gloom, Machoke, Charmeleon, Pidgeotto, etc), 500z per final form Pokemon w/level up evo (Charizard, Pidgeot, Breloom, etc.), 1000z per final form pokemon with a special evo (Machamp, Vileplume, Victrebell, Vaporeon). But that's just something to play with, I guess.

Or instead of giving bonuses we could just go by the base form's rarity and be done with it? As far as the level-up evolutions are concerned, anyways. For special evolutions (stone, trade, happiness) I can understand having some kind of bonus on them, because they require extra effort by whoever is donating/training the thing.

And I think the 500z per level is a little... much. Though it might just be me. It's really easy to get a level on stuff if you just use Gexp but if you actually train the thing, then it's worth the money for the level.

As for the no stat vs trained thing uh... kinda don't get what you mean by it. I mean I get what you mean, but are you saying that Pokemon that don't have any increased stats/things/whatnot should be... more expensive? I guess I don't get that part.

Also, I don't think it's ever gonna be more appealing to sell to real players instead of here, because A) some folks don't like selling high level stuff to low level players and B) Most people only want certain, popular Pokemon. If you have something that nobody wants, then well... nobody will want it. And people generally want a Pokemon for really cheap, even if it something completely rare/awesome. So as for what to do about that, I have no idea.

Ok, good points. 500 hundred is a little much on the levels but its was meant to be an incentive to train it - to make it worth the effort of borrowing I guess. Not too much of that has happened either.

If we retain the chart, I see no reason to give bonus for something that hasn't evolved at all.

What I meant for stats is...

When something is donated. It's happiness or anger is reset to 0. Most of the stuff donated is done so without EV tracking ever being done on it before or any TM's ever learned. Those are basically clean slate pokemon worth the bare minimum of whatever its level and rarity offers. If you were to donate something with TMs learned or EV's, it probably should retain though those because it makes it more valuable - maybe figure up some small bonus for it having something extra.

Likewise for if you borrow it to train it. Instead of just getting paid for leveling, you could get paid for making it happier, or teaching it a TM. Then we could probably lower that 500 per level thing a bit and offset it, since they would then be getting paid for the EV's, EXP, Happiness, and moves learned - as well as an EVO is it happened.

Maybe something like this, And here I'm talking the value of the pokemon not the what the OME member gets for the donation.

0z for common pokemon
25z for every 1 EV earned
50z for every happy point earned(doesn't go toward donations, just training)
100z for any TMs learned
200z for each level raised
300z for level evolving
400z for stone/item/trade evolving
500z For Uncommon Pokemon or an egg
1,000 For Rare pokemon
2000z for shinies (includes somehow making the borrowed pokemon shiny or donating a shiny)

So, example. I donate a Level 50 Charizard, that's shiny, knows one TM, has 10 misc. EV's collected, and is considered Rare because its in the only one starter category ( I guess)

For the level right off the bat, it gets 5k
For being a shiny is gets another 2k
For knowing 1 TM is gets 100z
For having 10 EVs it gets 250z
And because its in the Rare category another 1k
Total resale value: 8350
What I would get for the donation: 4175

Now lets say I wanna train the bastard for the OME. I rent it for 8350. LEvel it once, earn 1 EV somewhere, and give it a happy point. Hell, maybe I teach it another TM. Upon returning...

I get my 8350 back. 25 for the EV, 200 for the 1 level I raised it and 50 for the one happy point. I earned 275 for my trouble and maybe got pokedex info if I didn't have it before. Not to mention I have the right to breed it and keep the eggs so long as its in my possession.

Probably still be out of balanced. What do you think?

Oh ok I gotcha now. I was just thinking backwards of what you were trying to say.

Um. Well actually, that all looks good. o.o My thing before was more that there was no rarity level for evolved things and I wasn't sure how to price them. That chart takes care of that, and levels out the prices of things.

I can't think of anything else that needs to be tweaked about it!

One thing I missed was addressing a second or third level Evo that get's donated. We acknowledge credit for evolving something for the CU but not for donating something higher. Maybe we could turn this into a check list that you can tic off?

Pricing Checklist
$ Donation Bonus Rental Return Bonus
0z Common pokemon ---
25z For every 1 EV For every NEW EV it is returned with
50z N/A - Happiness resets For every 1 Happiness it returns with
100z Per TM/EM/ or non level up move For each new TM/EM/ or non level up move it returns with
200z N/A - Check Level donation chart For each level raised
300z For each stage of Evolution (does not count towards stone/item/trade Evos) For level evolving
400z For stone/item/trade evolving For stone/item/trade evolving
500z For Uncommon Pokemon or an egg ---
1,000 For Rare pokemon ---
2000z Shiny pokemon Somehow making the borrowed pokemon shiny

You really have a nack for making tables. That organizes it nicely and shows the two different things well. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Though now I remember one thing I've noticed about the CU. Some folks like to immediately hop on anything that gets donated, and add it to the CU, without giving anyone else a chance to do it. And since it's one of the things required to rank up on most of the ranks, perhaps someone who's already updated it all they can for their current rank has to wait a couple of days before they can update it? To give others a chance to do so, but not bar them completely from updating it, if that makes sense?

Good idea. A general note that says:

*If you updated it last, please wait 72 hours (?) before updating it a second time in a row to give others a fair chance at updating it for the Rank-up benefit.

I think so. Let me go ahead and post it up, bring note of it to the CU, rework your donation price if it needs it, and then I think we're done. =D
