The journey was not long. However, it was not entirely uneventful, for there was ash that kicked up into the air for each step that Jared had taken. The ash particles clung to his clothes, and also onto the rocky body that is Solinari right behind him. The boy had been hesitant about passing some people on the way to the Pokemon Center, but they acted as if he didn't even exist. Unbeknowest to him, they were used to seeing trainers covered by ash while on their way to the Pokemon Center.

Therefore, nothing tried to slow him down as Jared approached the Pokemon Center with a sleeping Totodile in his arm and a floating sun-rock behind him. The boy hadn't realized that Solinari had stopped until the presence of the sun-rock filled his mind, and Jared felt surprise from the Solrock. Mystified, the boy trainer turned around to look at the Solrock. It was hard to discern what kind of emotion Solinari was experiencing had it not been for the telepathic link between the two. The Solrock seemed to be staring at everywhere around it. Then it came.

<What is all this? Where is this unholy light coming from?> It took a while for Jared to process just what the word "unholy" meant before he replied. "This is just electricity." He gestured to all of the buildings that had lit lights in the dark sky. "We humans use electricity for many kinds of things. Come, I'll show you some of the uses that we have for electricity." Solinari pondered this for a moment before giving assent, and following Jared into the Pokemon Center.

It was crowded in the Pokemon Center. The telepathic link remained between Jared and Solinari, mostly because the Solrock wanted the calming mind of its trainer. Jared, however, was being acutely aware of the attention that he and his Solrock were getting. He hurried over to the nurse in charge, with Solinari following closely behind him.

As Jared approached the counter, he was greeted by the business-like tone of "Hello there, young sir! What can I do for you today?" The stares from the other trainers and their respective Pokemon made Jared nervous, and he wanted nothing more than to get the heck out of there. He hastily put the pokeballs of his exhausted team, including the sleeping Auraiso, on the counter. He told the nurse in charge in a quiet voice so that he won't be overheard, "They have not been in a battle, but they spent all of their strength in helping me free this Solrock. I would like to leave them here so that they can rest and recover. Is that alright?" The nurse in charge nodded, "Certainly. How long would you be here?"

Jared pointed to the direction of his floating sun-rock, who was regarding everything around it with a sense of curiosity. "I just wanted to show it around while walking for a bit in Ashdell. I won't be long." The nurse nodded her understanding, then took Jared's Pokemon minus Solinari to the back rooms, where they will be resting.

Now free to do whatever, Jared hastily took one of Solinari's rays, and bolted out of the reception area and out of the center of the attention. He made a rather hasty retreat to the PC room, where he confirmed trades and such. He also pulled out some more Pokemon plus a particular egg that he had bought. It was a Turtwig egg, if he recalled right, and can evolve into the mighty Torterra. He would definitely have to show it to Professor Willow at some point...

He would also have to seek her advice on how to handle his unruly Electrike, Raiken. He is rather hoping that she would know what to do with him. Jared shook his head, and his eyes wandered towards that particular ball that contained the ever hateful dog, and made a rather hasty exit from the Pokemon Center with Solinari following him.

<Something is bothering you. Tell me so that I can take care of it for you. It is my role to protect you from all harm.> Jared took one look at Solinari. "You'll find out soon enough. For now, let's show you around Ashdell." He checked the egg to make sure that it was secure before heading off into the city with an inquisitive Solrock following him.

There wasn't really much to see in Ashdell. Since it was linked to Kevin Baconville, via rail it was one of the most successful towns on the fire island. But that wasn't saying much since there were only four towns one of them was a ghost town. Right, Ashdell. There wasn't much to see in Ashdell besides the gym, a few shops and the power plant which supplied most of the energy on the island. Nothing extremely interesting to see on the island, no matter how hard you looked. Ashdell was definitely not the best place to teach your pokemon about how human life was now. Well, not that. It was just that there were better examples, like Brightopolis which was more of a bustling city than just plain Ashdell.

Jared and his pokemon strolled throughout Ashdell with hopes of teaching his Solrock about civilization and how everything worked now that he was free from the piles of rocks he had been stuck under for years. Much had changed since he had been under there, as one would expect. Most things were now automated and human life was never better, except when the machines failed. We were now far too dependant on machines and technology, I guess.

While strolling, Jared and co could see a few pokemon scampering around the town. Urban pokemon were abundant on this island, especially because it wasn't as busy as the Central Urban areas. Not many people lived on Corona Island, but Urban Pokemon were really abundant everywhere if you looked hard enough.

Oh and Solinari gets +1 Happiness for just strolling with it.

It took Jared quite some time to show Solinari around Ashdell, pointing out various important buildings and explaining what they do. It was quite the learning experience for the Solrock, although it still viewed the buildings with a sense of repulsion. All of these "buildings" give off this unholy light that has not been blessed by the sun god. They did not give off the healthy kind of warmth. No, it was the warmth that had no purpose behind it, as if it had no reason of existing in the first place.

When Jared finished, the Solrock entered his mind. <I do not like the feeling of this place. There are too much evil forces at work here. If all human cities are like this one, then you will be in danger as long as you remain in one. We must leave immediately.>

The boy blinked at the sun-rock. More words for him to figure out the meaning of. However, he did not miss the "evil" part. "While it's true that Ashdell is a gloomy place with barely any sunlight, it is not evil. Just been in the darkness for the most part of the day. That's why there are not too many people here. You haven't seen the sunny cities, nor the very peaceful ones. And places like this one are not dangerous at all."

While Solinari pondered that, static electricity erupted from one of the Pokeballs on Jared's belt. The boy tried to flinch away from it as best as he can so as not to get shocked. I really need to do something about him... With great care, his hand went down to quickly pluck a ball out of the belt while avoiding the static field. Jared then tossed the ball in the air.

Out of the ball came Draken, a Gible who pretty much acts like a soldier. As he fell to the ground, he made a flip in the air ending with the landing. Then he stood up straight and, with a cry of "Gib!", saluted Jared as best as he could.

The boy was unsure as to what to do with this Gible when he got him. He had consulted with Plasma, and the Rotom had suggested that Jared act as an army sergeant of sorts. While it's not in his nature to give out orders like one, yet Jared could see the sense of playing out like one. It IS really the best and only way of dealing with Draken and making him respond, after all. Just needed to remember that phrase...what was it again?

"Um, at ease?" Draken did just that, much to the boy's relief. Then he did something that alarmed Solinari and what Jared was very used to: leaping at the boy's right arm with mouth agape. Before Solinari could even react, Jared whipped his right arm with the armguard on in front of him to fend off the Gible. There was the familiar pressure on the armguard as Draken clamped his teeth on it.

<Master Jared! I shall get it off of you!> Jared noted the alarmed tone from Solinari, and raised a hand to halt the Solrock before it could use its psychic powers on Draken. "Wait, this is normal. I'm in no harm thanks to this armguard. See?" He proved this by waving the arm with the clinging Draken about a bit in front of Solinari all the while easily maintaining his smile. The Solrock could find no trace of pain in Jared's features, so it relaxed a bit and watched the whole thing.

Once he was certain that no more trouble would come from Solinari, Jared then brought Draken about so that he could look at the Gible in the eye. "Draken, I have something that I would like for you to do." At this, the Gible swung himself off of Jared's armguard, performed some flips, landed on the ground, then turned around to face Jared and stood at attention.

The boy pointed at the crackling ball of electricity. "See this?" A flicker of understanding passed Draken's features, and he adopted a battle pose. Jared nodded, "That's right. When I release him from his ball, I want you to restrain him. You should be able to do that, since you are immune to his electricity. Okay, here goes..." With great trepidation, Jared was about to reach for the ball when his thoughts are interrupted by Solinari.

<Allow me to do it for you, Master Jared. With my powers blessed by the sun god, that orb won't be able to harm anyone.> At that, the Pokeball began to detach itself from Jared's belt and levitated some 3 feet from the ground. Jared made sure to keep some distance between himself and the crackling ball of electricity while Draken positioned himself just below it.

For a few seconds, nothing happened.

Then, <Master, I can't open this.> It was with a big effort that Jared remained calm. There was a huge urge to burst in laughter. Instead, he had to wait it out until the urge has passed before speaking, "Just let it fall to the ground." <Oh.> The ball stopped levitating and fell to the ground. A burst of light, and Raiken lunged straight towards Jared's direction, teeth a-baring...

...only to get himself tackled and pinned down by Draken. In a rage, the yellow 'trike lashed out at the Gible with teeth, claw, and electricity crackled furiously across his fur. The electricity passed from the Electrike to the Gible on points of contact, and licked all over the Gible. Draken's Ground typing made him immune to the paralyzing attack, and continued to pin down the yellow pooch while fending off Raiken's assault.

Jared watched the scuffle with a disappointed expression. Why did Raiken hate him so much he would even harm him? As Jared pondered this, Solinari floated over to his side. <Master, it seems that there are nearby life-forms. What do you want to do?> The boy looked at his Solrock, then said, "Leave them be. If they come over here, keep an eye on them. I don't want anything to come between those two." The Solrock bobbed up and down to show acknowledgment. <Very well. I'll keep monitoring them and let you know of their movements.>

Then the two turned back to the struggle and waited for Raiken to exhaust himself before proceeding.
I wouldn't mind if Poochyena and/or Magnemite shows up, since I'm interested in those two.

As the two fought a battle of wills on the ground, Jared and his Solrock watched. His Solrock was right though, some life-forms were coming. A few moments after Jared was informed by his psychic, he knew that the rock wasn't lying... because he could smell one of them coming. It was a foul stench, and he's lucky that his nose didn't fall off. It smelled like someone died, and then was thrown in a microwave only to catch on fire. It was one of those smells that made one want to commit suicide... something truly disgusting.

If you would've turned around, you'd see the figures that were coming. They looked like a ragtag team of friends, since they seemed to know each other. First was the one in the very front, and the one they could smell. It was a Grimer. It slid across the ground, and was leading the other two pokemon straight to you. Behind the Grimer was a Voltorb, and a Meowth that didn't look like too much of a threat.

As they got closer the Grimer called out to your Solrock, "Hey you! Rocky thing!" It's voice had a worried tone, and it had a scared look in it's eye. Anyone could've told you that something was wrong... and maybe if you'd help it... it'd leave so you won't have to smell it anymore.

Jared and Solinari both continued to watch the scuffle until Draken sensed no fight left in Raiken. Releasing his hold on the tuckered 'trike, the Gible walked over to Jared's side then began watching for any signs of aggression. A hand came down to pat him on the head. "Thanks, Draken. It's good to know that I can always rely on you." The Gible glanced at Jared, and gave the boy a salute of acknowledgment and appreciation. Turning his gaze back at the Electrike, he sidled a bit closer to Jared.

Now that he knew that the yellow 'trike would not lunge at him in his current state, Jared used this chance to try to speak some sense to Raiken. "Raiken." The Electrike had sat up and turned his back to Jared. He held an air of aloofness. The boy sighed before continuing, "I just don't get it. Why do you hate me so much? I'm trying to be friends with you here...hey, what's that smell?"

Cue the arrival of the Grimer. Solinari was the only one beside the two companions of Grimer that did not immediately cover their nose and begin gagging. Raiken thought about trying to make a run for it, but he was certain that THAT human would make him stay against his will. That or sic that Ground-type on him. That boy may be a goody, but the yellow 'trike will not be fooled by such acts of kindness! If only the others weren't such short-sighted fools...

Not willing to keep his eye off the little pooch, Jared told Solinari, "Go and see what that Grimer wants. But be quick about it. I don't want the smell to linger around here any longer." Draken added in his complaints and, much to Jared's surprise, Raiken's complaints were heard too.

Confused by what was going on here, the Solrock had no choice but to answer the Grimer. He DID call out the rock, didn't he? Last time Solinari checked, it was the only rock around here. So, without further ado, it entered the mind of the Grimer, and gave it the impression that it had said, <Yes, what can I do for you mister?>

"Yeah, you can! You got a trainer there right? Trainers FIGHT other trainers... Well, we are running away from our old trainer, but it's finally tracked us down. We think the only way we're going to get away, is if we can get some other trainer to whoop our trainers kiester." The grimer said, poking the solrock with its drippy fingers.

" The evil things I have seen... I'm not going back. I'm not going back, even if I have to explode!" the Voltorb shrieked, its eyes spinning for a bit as it looked around panicking.

" We escaped hell... Only to have hell chase us. No living thing should have to endure what we have endured."
The meowth mewled pitifully.

"So, what do you say? Do you think you're human can hel -- Oh no. Here it comes." The grimer said panicked, as the sound of running footfalls began to come quickly, the loud clacking striking the ground and causing a thundering ear jarring clatter with each footfall as the grimer began to quickly move away.

The mind link between Jared and Solinari remained established, therefore Jared could hear everything that the threesome had said about their horrible trainer. According to them, their trainer had done some bad things to them. Being with their trainer would be like experiencing hell. That did not go well in Jared's book.

Solinari, on the other hand, did nothing when the sludge poked at it and left behind some residue. With psychic powers granted to it by the holy sun, the psychic rock took the sludge off of itself and began inspecting it. Solinari did not forget to inform the Grimer, <My master over there has heard and understood every word that you said. As long as I am nearby, he can understand Pokespeech. And I'm fairly certain that he is a good master who can be trusted.>

The master in question nodded. "Yeah, what he said! Leave it all to me!" He rose up to his feet, jabbed his chest with his thumb, and continued, "For I am Jared, member of Team Rocket! The team that aims for the freedom and justice of all! The team that is opposed to the oppression on others!" He then pointed at where the the sound of clacking shoes was coming from. "Worry not! I shall defeat this trainer and set you all free! Or my name isn't Jared!"

Energized by Jared's sudden burst of excitement, Draken imitated his stance and pointed in the same direction with a shout of "Gib!" Solinari floated just behind Jared, amused by all of this, while Raiken facepalmed at the sheer idiocy that he must endure now in the background.

The clattering footfalls came closer and closer, the three refuge pokemon suddenly moving to stand behind the trainer, their eyes wide as they heard the familiar sound approaching... To them it was like the drums of the black parade marching ever closer to drag them once more to the hell they knew too well.

Suddenly the trainer lept into view. "THERE YOU ARE!"

She stood there dressed in a pair of overalls with flower and pokemon appliques sewn all over it, a yellow and white striped shirt beneath and wearing a pair of velcro sandals on her feet. Her brown hair was fashioned up with two pigtails, held in place with four crayons, and as she smiled, it was obvious she was missing quite a few of her baby teeth.

There she was, the most evil trainer in all of Opaddeka... in all of her 7 year old infamy. Tama-chan!

" That was a fun game of Hide - n - Seek! But it's time to go home n-- Hey. Who are you? Are you trying to steal my Pokemans? THIEF! " she accused, pointing her finger angrilly at the Rocket. An accusation that would probably be hard to argue, considering the organization he was a member of... Even as she reached into her pockets to pull out a Pokeball that had little crayon scribblies on it.

Jared could see it now: him triumphing over the evil villain who was clutching his/her fist in anger. He would demand that he/she would let his/her Pokemon go and leave, never to be seen again. Then the threesome would be so grateful to him, make some parting words, and leave on a new adventure. And Jared? Well, he would have something good to report to Boss.

He was so engrossed in this vision of his that, when the trainer showed herself, he launched into a half-prepared speech while still pointing at her direction. "Evildoer! I shall - what?" His heroic face faded into a confused one. His pointing arm dropped halfway down. His entire body sagged a little. In other words: he was absolutely thunderstruck. What really drove it home was that she called him a thief.

Now, Jared was mostly unawares of the shady side of Team Rocket. Therefore, when the girl called him a thief, it set him off into a panicked mode. With swirly eyes, Jared grabbed at his head and began blabbing gibberish. This set both Draken and Solinari into panicked mode, only that they were both sane whereas Jared wasn't. Draken lept up and grabbed ahold of Jared's hiking vest while Solinari orbited around the boy's head.

"Commander! Commander! Calm down! Waaaah!"

<Master Jared, you must calm yourself! It is not befitting for you to lose yourself just because things did not go your way! It is completely natural for things like this to happen! Master, in the name of all that's holy, calm yourself!>

This was just way too much for Raiken to take. He doubled over with tears streaming down from his face, and laughed so hard that his stomach protested at it. He did manage to say some words between breaths. "That's *gasp* what you *gasp* get *gasp* for what you *gasp* have done! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

It took one good minute for Jared to regain his senses. Ignoring Raiken's laughter since he was getting used to it, Jared went over to the threesome and dropped down to their level. Draken was still attached to his hiking vest while Solinari began to eye Raiken. They boy jabbed a finger at the girl's direction. "ARE you certain that she is your trainer? She doesn't strike me as the evil type."

Tama-chan puffed up her cheeks, as she saw the pokemon laughing, and the evil thief apparently making fun of her by breaking out into jibberish. Still, she wouldn't let herself be bullied like this! She still had other pokemon to fight with!

" You have NO idea... " The grimer groaned, as he recalled being ran through a laundry mangle when he was being 'cleaned' for being 'smelly'. The Meowth recalling the humiliating outfits forced on it, or when a bunch of cans were tied on the end of its tail... And the Voltorb.... You didn't want to know.

" Take this! " She shouted out, as she threw the crayon covered ball forward, and releasing her pokemon. A diglett suddenly appearing and looking around curiously, before noticing the three familiar pokemon, and then glancing back to Tama-chan. " Get 'em! "

The diglett eeped and shivered, before nodding and getting ready for battle.

Turtwig egg: 5/33 posts to hatch! (forgot to put this in in my last post)

As the threesome began to recall the images of being tortured by this girl, Solinari transmitted the images to Jared's mind. The boy gaped at them. "You mean to tell me that she has been treating you as playTHINGS and not as playMATES?"

He shot the girl an unbelieving look. Even as she sent out a Diglett that seemed a bit scared of her. That did it. The boy's face hardened into determination as he pulled out Sandy's pokeball. He hated conflicts, and he did not like Pokemon battles, but he would teach her that Pokemon are NOT playthings. They have feelings, you know!

That and the fact that Solinari would have no problems taking out that Diglett. He didn't want to bully her that way. Raiken would refuse to fight against a Ground type; that was very obvious due to the way he's acting right now. Him being all stuck-up about it while Solinari's watching him. As for Draken, he would probably over-do things as he tended to do. And as for the Cubone...he wasn't sure if she'll even listen to him. That left him with Sandy.

"Let's go Sandy!"

A ball flew and popped open to reveal his Sandshrew. "Shrew?" she inquired as she immediately saw a girl and a Diglett that is readying for a battle. She heard Jared kneel down besides her, and turned her head to look at him with inquisitive eyes. Jared leaned in closer so that he can explain to her without the girl interrupting.

"Solinari has set up a mind connection with me, so I can understand Pokespeech as long as we both are close to each other. Right now, there's a misunderstanding. I had been led to believe by that girl's runaway Pokemon that she is evil. However, Solinari tells me that she's simply treating them as playthings and not as playmates."

Sandy's eyes grew a bit wide at that, and Jared quickly hastened before Tama could get suspicious.

"Add in the fact that she thinks that I'm here to steal her Pokemon, and you pretty much get the picture. I want to set things straight, but I can't do that unless I beat her in a battle. Can I count on you to help me clear up the misunderstanding?"

Sandy nodded, and Jared beamed at her before hugging her as thanks. The Sandshrew happily returned the hug before Jared released her and gave her her orders. "How about creating a sandstorm and hide in it?"

Sandy nodded once more, and began spinning at max speed while staying put at her spot. Soon enough, a wily sandstorm appeared from her area to cover the entire battlefield. Jared had the presence of mind to recall the surprised Raiken before he gets too wild, while Solinari saw to it that the sand would not bother Jared.

Oh god what is this I don't even
(.3 :gexp2 )

"Mrs. Nesbit, use scratch on that mean-y pokemon!"

The Diglett sighed, it was a male Diglett, but the 7 year old didn't know that. At least this is better than being drawn on, it thought. Chugging into the cloud of sand around Sandy, it was hard to tell exactly how the Diglett did the attack, the up and coming sandstorm blocking your view. I guess what Diglett scratches with will remain a mystery, but the sandstorm kicked into full force! Sandy was now a blur, blending into the streaming vortex of dirt, sand and rocks like a zebra standing in a heard of a bunch of other zebras. Zebras!

Anyways, back to the battle.

"Oh you thief! Now Mrs. Nesbit will be dirty and I'll have to give her a bath!"
Oh god not a bath, anything but water.
"Use magnitude on the mean pokemon!"

Glad it wasn't an order to get in the tub, the little Diglett used whatever parts it had in the ground to shake the ground under the Sandy. Though not being able to do very much wiggling with sand whipping at it's face, it still produced a mediocre effort. Sandy only teetered, spinning up a new, concentrated sandstorm that seemed to try and lift Diglett out of the ground. Looks like Diglett was locked in Sand Tomb, which is weird because Diglett has Area Trap so both Diglett and Sandy are stuck until one faints. This should be fun.

<Master Jared, that is a male Diglett. She is implying that he's a female. Furthermore, he's glad that he's battling, and not being drawn upon.>

Jared glanced past the sandstorm, which was avoiding him thanks to Solinari's power, towards the figure of the Solrock. "Thanks for your input, Solinari."

<Anytime, Master Jared.>

His attention back to the battle, the boy couldn't help but be worried for Sandy as she took some damage from the Diglett. He called out o her, "You all right out there, Sandy?" The Sandshrew turned her head to nod at him. This is nothing to her. If that's all the Diglett could dish out, then this battle would be over in a blink of an eye.

The boy nodded at her with a smile on his face. "Good, good. Keep it up, Sandy. You are doing a great job." Sandy nodded once more then shifted her attention back at the Diglett. She didn't want to torment him; not after what the girl said. Ground Pokemon tend to hate water in general, except for those that can tolerate it or even live in it.

Seriously, what is the girl thinking?

Jared seemed to share the same sentiments as Sandy. "A bath? On a Ground Pokemon? That's insane!" Sandy nodded in agreement. Jared continued, almost oblivious that there's a battle going on right now, "It should be common sense that Ground Pokemon hate water in general, except when they're drinking!"

<Master, there are some Ground Pokemon that live in the water.>

Jared waved a hand at the general direction of the Solrock. "Whatever." The boy pointed at the Diglett. "I'm sorry, Diglett, but I must do this. Sandy, use Rapid Spin along with Scratch!"

The Sandshrew added in one more "Sorry!" before complying with her trainer's orders.

Stamping her foot like the brat she was, the 7 year old commanded her pokemon to attack "Sandy" again. "MR. NESBIT, quit fooling around and use Magnitude again!"

The Diglett sadly complied, it was under a trainer after all. Wiggling whatever appendages it had under the ground, it mustered up a better magnitude this time around (MAGNITUDE 7) causing Sandy to stumble and stop spinning, but only for a moment.

Calling out your impromptu combo attack Sandy started to spin again with new ferocity. The new yellow-brown top now was brandishing glowing blade of the now super-powered and sped up scratch tornado. Driving into the Diglett, multiple hits were landing on the little mole as Sandy plowed forward. Clearly this was a decent combo to remember.

All the Diglett could do in retaliation was unleash another Magnitude, mainly because that seemed to be the only attack the girl knew the Diglett had other than scratch. This one wasn't as strong (MAGNITUDE 5) causing sandy to wobble only slightly.

"Oh, so NOW you're calling him Mr. Nesbit," muttered Jared under his breath, careful that the girl wouldn't overhear, "Not just that, but you also totally ignored me." Sure he was worried for Sandy and all, especially with the varying results of Magnitude. However, this is one trainer battle that he couldn't lose.

Imagine just what would happen if you lost after being called a thief. I shudder at the image.

The boy bit his lower lip. The sandstorm hasn't been much help so far, but he hoped that it would help Sandy achieve victory. If not...well, let's not go into the details.

Sandy staggered to her feet. She took quite a beating this time. The sudden ferocity took her off guard a bit, but she soon regained her composure enough to do her attack and do a lot of damage to the Diglett. There was a chance that she would not survive the next Magnitude if its power ever went above that first show of Magnitude that round.

This is it.

It's either all or nothing.

The eyes of Jared never left the girl and her Diglett. "You ready, Sandy?" The Sandshrew nodded. "Good. We are going to try a different tactic here. I want you to try to hide yourself in the sandstorm. I want you to use your own element to your advantage to evade the Diglett's attacks. When you see an opening, concentrate your sandstorm on him to end this battle. That way, you won't have to physically hurt him with your body or claws."

Sandy nodded once again while a grin crept onto her face. That was a sound plan. She liked it a lot. She didn't want to hurt the Diglett, but if there's a way for her to defeat him without going all up onto his face, that was fine by her book. She began to concentrate on disappearing into the sandstorm to confuse and confound the Diglett.

If that worked, then she would move to a different place where the Diglett wouldn't suspect her to be. Which is up above him, onto a sandy wave that is about to crash onto him.

Hiding in the sand was generally a good idea when you could dig giant holes, but when your opponent could do it too it was sort of less of an advantage. Nevertheless, the Sandshrew set immediately to burying herself in the sand and getting her head out of the way of whatever it was the Diglett decided to throw at her.

Sandy was extremely fortunate that she chose that second to duck into the sand, the Diglett's Mud Shot sailing right over her head. Problem solved! The Diglett was weak and, in one massive surprise attack from under the sand, shot the Diglett with a blast and trapped it in a sandy tomb. It... well, it'd fall over, but nobody knows how it remains upright in the first place. Safe to say it just wasn't fighting any more.

Sandy gains 1.5 :exp and levels up!

The little girl, at the fact her precious Mrs Nesbit was now unconscious under the sand, recalled it to the crayon-covered Poké Ball and... looked at Jared.

"You... you- you thief! You hurt Mrs Nesbit! Waaaaaaah!"

And then, like any little spoiled brat who didn't get her way, ran home to mommy to cry and burp and spit up like all babies did. Damn kids. On the plus side, Jared won? I do suggest getting the heck out of the way as quickly as possible, though. Who knows what'd happen if Jared stuck around here.

0.3 :gexp2 I'm going to ignore the fact that you didn't read my post more carefully.

Turtwig egg: 2/33 posts to hatch!
Sandy is at 10 :hp

The battle was over with Sandy the victor. However, before Jared could congratulate her, the girl suddenly went into a tantrum and ran off crying. Jared was not at the appropriate age to fully understand the implications, nor were his Pokemon. He has more important things to do here!

Like that egg that had magically appeared in Jared's left arm after this writer has forgotten to mention how exactly Jared was carrying it in the first place. >.<

It suddenly began shaking in Jared's left arm. Jared got startled enough for his arm to loosen a bit, allowing the egg to break free and fall. Fortnately, Solinari was there to halt the progress with its psychic powers and levitated the egg back to Jared for him to make a firm grip on it. The boy stared at it with wide eyes. "So soon? I was under the impression that they would take a long time to hatch."

The Solrock hovered closer to the egg while gazing at it. <What's in there, Master?> Jared shrugged at this. "All I know is that it's a Turtwig egg."

Anyways. He shifted his attention to the now approaching Sandy after tucking the egg safely away in his left arm. The Sandshrew looked weak, and was staggering a bit to and fro. Other than all that, she was fine and wore a victorious expression on her face. Jared reached down with his free arm to pat her on the head. "Awesome job, Sandy. I know that you didn't like doing that, but we had no other choice." Then, in a small voice, he said, "Sorry."

Sandy did not miss the last part. She pushed up against Jared's hand while at the same time nuzzling against it. "It's okay. Things like that happen sometimes. I know that you didn't mean it to happen. That's all that matters to me!" After hearing the translation via Solinari's mind link, a smile crept upon Jared's face. "Thank you." He took out Sandy's pokeball from his belt and recalled the Sandshrew. "Take a rest, you deserve it."

Turning around to face the Grimer, the Meowth, and the Voltorb that had started all of this, Jared said, "Now that I have dealt with your trainer, what are you going to do now?"

The trio was watching the Jared with a careful eye. They really hadn't anticipated him winning, and therefore did not know what they were gonna do. Meowth was the first to look up, it had a smile on it's face and shot you a wink. "Thank you savior boy, I'm going to go start me a new life," With that said, the little meowth turned away and walked off into the horizon. If you were to watch, you'd see it get smaller, and smaller as it got further away.

The Grimer however, was laughing in an excited tone. It was happy that the demon child had been beaten, and was extremely grateful to the blow. It swiftly closed the distance, and charged at the boy. Embracing it in a hug, and getting it's slimy slime all over Jared's clothes. It seemed like it had taken a liking to you. "Please don't let someone like that come catch me, I wanna go with you guy! Please!" Grimer pleaded. He didn't want to take the chance of being recaptured by the devil.

The next to finally come to a conclusion was Voltorb. He looked at Meowth take off on it's own, and saw Grimer begging to join them. Voltorb had nowhere to go, no more friends, no more family... no more nothing. It was at that moment that he realized this, and saw no more meaning to keep on going. Just he didn't wanna take the chance of being abused again, but he wanted to be on his own. So, he gave one last look to Jared and Grimer, the look almost said, "Goodbye" without the use of words. Then Voltorb was engulfed with a bright light, before the massive explosion occured. After the dust cleared, nothing was remaining... it looked like Voltorb chose to just blow himself to pieces. He must have had some serious issues...
