Haha! Aren't these a total joke? Seriously, does anyone try and honestly evaluate the last month's best and brightest, to make sure that the hardest workers or most impressive members are honored for their exceptional achievements? It's about time we had a genuine awards, one that really represents what these monthly circle-jerks are for? Check it out, I won't even post this shit five days too late! Let's get started, shall we? Remember, only vote for one person, douches. I understand the rush to kiss everyone's ass and the want to do it equally to get maximum returns of affection and other fucking bullshit, but let's keep it manageable. Site Related Awards: These awards relate to folks who are in your little clique that you want to pass answers to during class. Most Helpful Whose nuts did you hug this month to get mods? Best Role Player This award is for the best writer on the board this month. Haha, just kidding! This award is for the WORST writer on the board because they somehow became a mod and will make post after post of vapid bullshit that you can respond to in the same way. I bet they even gave you a completely unwarranted item or Pokemon you wanted! Better make sure your appreciation is known so that this can continue! Best Individual Post Hey! This one occasionally gets a legitimate vote. But, fuck that, just keep the sexual favors flowing with this one too. Best Freeform You probably didn't read any freeforms this month. This is probably more likely if you're a smod. But, if you're one of the few who did, don't bother voting for whoever wrote or drew the best one. Just pick the person who asked you to pick them. MVP (Most Valuable staff Person) Haha! As if this ever goes to someone that did any work. Just give it to the person that was in chat a lot, or, when in private, gave you permission to do whatever you want or bounced your own opinions back at you. Character Related Awards: These awards relate to the person who did something in-character. Anything at all. It doesn't even need to have happened this month. Best Hero Who helped the old lady cross the street or took the Pokemon to Pokemon Center instead of beating the shit out of it? Because we all know that defines a hero. And, if you're struggling to come up with something, just copy and paste your pick from last month. Best Villain Since literally everyone has villain character because we're all unoriginal, self-indulgent teenagers wanting exact our innermost desires through shitty story-writing and one-dimensional characters. Fuck depth, everyone reacts the same way to everything all the time. Moral and ethical dilemmas? Maybe some sort of exciting external conflict? That shit's just too hard. Most Creative As I alluded to above, none of us actually know what creativity is. Let's just vote for our stand-by person-we-like. Contrary to what you might believe, things like using emoticons in RPing actually makes you more likely to be voted for in this category. :< Most Promising Trainer OR Rookie Holy fuck, this one is LEGITIMATE. If we can manage to vote for someone that actually joined this month, that is. Non-Canon Awards: AND HERE, THE ESSENCE OF THIS MONTHLY ASS-HATTERY. We get tired of keeping up the charade of acknowledging our valued writers, so we just added these last ones so that we could openly suck each others cocks. Legacy Clown OMG YOU MAKE ME LOL SO HARD XDDDDD VOTE FOR YOU TAKE FREE SHIT BECAUSE YOU'RE FUN TO TALK TO Chat Whore This one isn't even the same award it was originally. Instead of the person in chat the most (What the fuck kind of award is that? Why the hell did that even exist?), it's just the person that says the most sexual innuendos or drags you into a closetglomp the most. This is fucking retarded, seriously. Most Popular AHAHAHAHAHA YOU ALREADY VOTED ON THIS ONE A MILLION TIMES BEFORE THIS Special Monthly Award: This one changes every month and earns a special prize that only this dumbass can claim. Just pick someone you like to hang out and make fun of other people with. Legacy is just a chance for everyone to continue being in high school for a few hours a day. Goddamn, at least I'm still in it, how old are some of you people? Legacy Monthly Lottery: This is a randomly drawn cash prize. If you want in on the pool, you had better vote! So get voting! I wonder how often this actually goes to random person instead of just someone the tallier likes. Now, reading through all of that, I'm going to speculate you did one of two things: You laughed. You realized this was aimed at you. If you did both of these things, well, you're the biggest piece of shit of all. I'm tired of the politics and popularity contest bullshit. Seriously I get enough of high school during the day. I welcome anyone wanting to dispute the veracity of anything I just said in this post, as well. I know there are some people out there who have no clue where this is coming from, in which case they can completely ignore this. But for everyone else, knock it the fuck off. I'm fairly certain that at at least some point, people voted for the people that deserved to win. Maybe not, whatever. Let's get back to/start doing that, because if I wanted to hang out with a bunch of twelve year-olds I'd have yelled COCKS, gone to MySpace and stopped writing a long time ago. So this month we're trying something new. Instead of monthly awards, you will be nominating one person for the single best player in this crazy RPG. You can vote on any criteria you want. But, you MUST provide that justification. At the end of the month, the admins will take them all into account and choose the single most worthy participant. This person will get some truly great awards. And I mean great. So, be serious for once. Let's vote. |

Ok, Ill step up to the plate since most people are going to be too pissed off to ever make it to directions for the real awards Ok, peeps, this is how its done. I would like to nominate Nyro on the grounds that her RPing is always excellent, and when shes online she goes above and beyond expectations by modding not just her friends but anybody she has time for. Nyro is like most of us, lots of RL stuff going on but that hasnt kept her down this month. Shes hardly even asked for a mod in her in own thread in return. Why, just today she swept through the grasslands, making sure all our newbs were modded. Did she need that for the role call? NAW! Shes kept this up all month. Never a shit mod and always something mildly engaging and amusing for the player. With that in mind, her writing, grammar, etc... in general is always excellent and fun to read. So yeah, Nyro, even if no one else noticed your hard work, I have and would like you to be considered for this months best all around award. ((Ta...example set... NEXT!)) |

About TIME other people started voting for others out of respect and appreciation, and not just 'sucking up' in general. If I ever even UNKNOWINGLY voted for someone becasue I was 'friends' for them and didn't take into account the real hard workers: I want you all to shoot me right now, seriously. That aside... Nominating one person is always hard: I have seen many fantastic members and moderators that fully deserve praise. I wish I could pick two: and that is why I often am stuck at my keyboard over-analyzing and end up voting for TWO folks in the one category, most of the time. I really wanted to vote for just one: yet I could not. There are two people that have been very deserving of applause for their efforts this month, and so I vote for two people. The first is Gerudo Warrior. This is because of her awesome posting detail and really puts thought into replies - wether replying to her own journey or anothers. She's also very active: despite likely having things to do in real life - as all of us do - she seems to always find time to mod those who need is, always find time to answer a question you might want to ask. As a 'normal member', I pay attention to such things and feel she should be recognised for them. The second person I would like to vote for is Nyro. Mav is right in the button when describing her: she makes sure that nobody is left without a mod, even if it is not in her specified 'work load' to do. Her posts as a mod also challange you, make you think 'outside the box'. I noticed that well enough, seeing as I was lucky enough to recieve a mod from her recently. I took in the eye to detail she put in the situation: it was a situation that I could see playing out in the pokemon world, even if it was a very 'surprising' one. I like that: good writing should make you feel like you're reading a story or experiencing it yourself, and Nyro's writing certainly makes you feel this, as too does Gerudo's. You're both awesome, man: keep up your valiant efforts at modding! I hope that was good enough of a reason for 'both' the folks I voted for: if not, then feel free to yell at me. ^^; |

I am voting for Blake. Having to plunge into the freeform I have typed, the very lengthy freeform I'd be surprised no one heard about, and digest it for days on end is perhaps the biggest sign of dedication I have ever seen anyone put into judging my work. It ain't the the best story, and there are some rooms for improvement - but there is not much else to it (but enough for a sequel MAJOR HINT). This is enough to hamper on one's personal life, and I can only pray that there are some aspects of it that are entertaining. And to have printed out over sixty pages to read it off the computer is very appreciated. But regardless of the challenging scope of the task, there is something else I would like to nominate Blake for. If I were to be asked to name one member from the board, he's the first in mind. This is because of the fact that he is probably to biggest social butterfly around, and although Adobe is chat's major artery and Steely is its reason to live - Blake is chat's face and its mom. He always has something to say, the only other parent I know of other than Eeveefreak who has the knowledge to teach us a lesson or two whenever opinions are obscure and nonfactual. Intelligent, funny, and someone I sympathize with even if I have not even met him outside the Matrix. Oh, and by the way, he's a great role player. Haven't role-played with him, but I read his work. Most memorable would be his trek through the Forest of Fury and and his adventure with Beau. At least I have an idea what he is looking for when he mods my stuff, whenever I read his best. I usually vote for him quite often, so this post should not be a surprise. There are a few supernatural mod skillz moderator modz I have in mind, and even though I do not recall being modded by Blake that much, I can easily get away with counting him in this vote for that regard for the fact that he was the first butthole to give me a 0.2 and not a 0.3 - twice consecutively. But that was a good lesson and I have learned from that to better my posts in March. |

Hey, feel free to vote for more than one person, as long as you've got a good reason and it doesn't get out of hand (upwards of three, I guess).

Just like with Luigi, I'm stuck at a crossroads here. There are two people in mind who I want to vote for. I was gonna vote for three, then realized that the third person hasn't done enough to warrant my vote. So yea, two. The first one goes to Blake. You may ask yourself, "Why him?" Well, it's a personal thing, just like with Andrew. Even though I have been sparse in posting in my own current thread, after I have posted there, there's a mod from him waiting for me when I return from work. Furthermore, he has given me a VERY difficult challenge on top of that! Seriously Blake, what do I have to do to wake up this Solrock! That aside, I quite enjoyed reading his threads, especially with all that hilarious stuff going on. My second vote goes to Nyro, for reasons stated by Mav and Luigi. Even though I have never experienced a mod from her myself besides the Grand Melee, her mods always amused me. Especially with that Pidgey attacking a trainer and getting beat up by said trainer in return. Well, there you go! My votes! |

Mav. Yeah, you read right, and no, I'm not trying to suck up or any BS like that. I honestly have enjoyed immensely her creativity (I pray that I someday get Mavlined, though our freeform is awesome in its own right, and I swear I'm going to post in that as soon as I get a day or three off work), her dedication (That OME event thing? Even though I wasn't here...man. The attention to detail, sticking it out for months and so forth, keeping people interested...), her effort put into just about everything. Her posts are always enjoyable for me to read, her skill at making the words tell a story so well that you can't wait to see what happens next... Seriously, Mav is one of the main people that makes me want to stick around on this board, personally. There are LOTS of other people that also count for a lot in my mind, but Mav...there's a reason Mav got the admin slot after Jolt stepped down. She earned it a few dozen times over. And that is one of the many reasons I nominate her. Because she goes the extra mile. She puts in such effort on things. And she makes this forum that much more fun for me, personally. So there you go. My nomination, and why. *shrug* |

Today, this one goes to Kari. I honestly love her style in writing, though some may think it's hard to nitpick through. I see a world in her writing that is simply different than any other on the site. Although, to be truthful, I can't say I'm not confused when I try to read through some of her posts, but overall, it is the writing style that catches me in this instance. If someone can make be swoon and awe at the sound of their words, I am genuinely impressed. If not a worthy justification, who cares? I'm grabbing that first thing that comes to mind and running with it. |

It is hard choosing just one or maybe two individuals. I agree with all the above nominations. But of all our members, Kari has caught my attention the most. She made an impression on myself and many since her 'Your House' post with her unique writing style. I've never seen her lax about her writing, whether modding or in her own threads. I don't think I've ever seen a Kari post that was less than several paragraphs. She always lets folks know when she's available or when she won't be around. And even though she hasn't been a mod for very long she's earned the position as a Head Mod.

I'm going to go with Kari. She's been modding my melee, and although I might not like some of the results, I feel that mostly they are justified and although things may not be going my way, I'm happy that they are not because the modding is entertaining and justified. And for solely that reason I think Kari deserves the award in my opinion. It's rare to find a mod at times to give you a sort of challenge or make things more challenging in some way and really suck you into their post. It shows effort, interest and dedication, and the legacy doesn't pay you for writing, it's all voluntary. I nominate Kari for going above and beyond 90% of the time and spending the other 10% creating creative encounters that are entertaining. Cheerio. |

My first pick would be for Fordy. Simply because I love how blunt he was and I haven't been around long so I really don't know the details behind it, but obviously it was an ongoing problem and the fact he was the one to put it the light takes courage and a desire to see the RPG better. And he did it in a way that I found most hilarious. Second, Nyro, for every reason already stated. And was the only person to mod me besides...Mav I believe. Edited by ICG*, Mar 28 2010, 01:33 PM.
