Lilac eyes upturned their gaze into the forest trees and into the darkness that surrounded them. Way above in the treetops, the snow had piled on and left it to appear a bright white, but here... in the shadow of these trees, the snow appeared gray. So very gray and dull. The biting cold did not nip Kaizanu's covered face, for she was prepared for this. She was always prepared for battle and training. Rifle slung over her shoulder, she walked while holding onto the strap. It was at easy enough access, so she wouldn't have to fumble for it. On either side of her, pokemon walked. At her right, Akita the feraligatr and to the left, Vykrytr the scyther. Both were wearing the same white material as their trainer; the scyther's had cutouts for his wings, though his back was covered for the most part and Akita's claws poked through the glove parts. Fighting would not be hindered. Turning her head slightly, she addressed Akita, while fiddling with her pokedex. "Drowzee aren't known to live in forests, but as we get deeper in, this snow will disappear and the ground will be damp. A suitable place for them to dwell," she said, meaning that the grasslands that Drowzee were known to habitat would grow in the protection of these trees. The darkness would also help as well, for it was the place where people slept. A place where dreams could be manipulated and the psychic gaze of drowzee seen. It was this pokemon she sought, because he was the seer into dreams and one who ate the bad ones. Kaizanu had nightmares. She needed to see this pokemon, even if it was only for a moment in time. To catch him and forever sleep peaceful. "I keep you up at nights, don't I?" she said half apologetically. Akita nodded. Vykrytr did not know how to respond. He had never been in the presence of his trainer for so long as to learn of her habits. Instead, he nudged her slightly with his massive scythes. "Ther," he growled quietly. He wanted to become better friends with his trainer, like the bond she and Akita shared. When he closed his eyes and thought about it, he could literally see the strings that connected them - they even seemed interwoven. They were destined to be together, forever and always. But what of himself? Quietly contemplating, he snapped back to reality when Kaizanu nudged him back. "You don't want me to keep you up at night, you'd probably want to cut my throat," Kaizanu joked, bursting into laughter a moment later. Akita joined in too. She thought it was funny, because there had been some nights where Kaizanu found herself on the floor, face down in a pillow and Akita staring. Just staring. "Feraligatr," she rumbled, placing a hand on the scyther's shoulder. In time, they would all be like family and there would be nothing on this planet, in this universe, or in this dimension that could tear them a part. Akita was sure of it. Vykrytr appeared more reassured, grinning slightly as he held his scythes just a bit closer to his body. Was this a warm cuddly feeling he was getting? Kaizanu grinned at the sight of both pokemon. "Keep an eye out," she advised, making sure that they knew that it was a mission and not a shopping trip. She had heard that pokemon in these frozen islands were dangerous and cunning. "Drowzee isn't the only pokemon we're looking for. It's just the most important." Remembering Pookie for a moment, Kaizanu faintly smiled. Wouldn't she be excited to have a friend? Perhaps? Probably not. Although Kaizanu had vowed never to get an eevee of her own, a thought changed her mind when she saw Sataro's umbreon. Sataro was her friend and had helped her rescue Akita and Mugen; Kalcifer was a very nice umbreon. Though, he did have a nasty tendency to bite his trainer on Kaizanu's command, much to the amusement of the dark type. Kaizanu looked around her, now: everything was darker than before and the trunks of the trees were faded and probably damp. Touching one, she validated her thoughts, but also renewed her faith in the idea that upon these rotting, damp logs, grass and moss would grow. The ideal habitat for the things she searched for - for the things she wanted most. Fortunately, unlike her companion, all of the pokemon she was after were to stay with her. Unfortunately, they were all very, very hard to find.

0.3 + 1 for Vykrytr.Primeval Forest was a place of life. Even when the inhabitants of the forest could not be seen or heard, their existence was felt, interwoven into a great, living tapestry. Those who sought to disturb the harmony were looked onto with distaste, and some claimed, when they went into the forest to hunt for pokemon, that the trees themselves seem to stare down with disapproval, and the strongest of the forest's pokemon appear to hunt the hunter. Was it true? You would simply have to wait and see. For now, those that made themselves seen were more concerned with matters other than the trainer intruding with the intent of spiriting some of them away. The first indication of something amiss was a faint buzzing that, with your winged companion, you were no doubt familiar with. A cry, a sound like sword meeting sword, and then the snapping of branches as a female Scyther flew, backwards, into your midst. The reason she was flying backward was very clear a moment later when another Scyther soared toward her, making an attempt to swoop down and pin her to the ground. She darted out of the way, leaving her attacker with a cut across her chest for her trouble, but the other female pursued, leaving an identical wound behind before being kicked away. Then the mantis formerly retreating lunged at the other, but her attack was anticipated and parried before they broke apart and circled. There their deadly dance began, or, rather, continued, oblivious to the presence of any audience. They met eachother blow for blow, dodging or blocking most attacks and paying any wounds that were inflicted back on their source. They were completely evenly matched, almost seeming of one mind as they struck, parried, circled, and swooped, each desperate to outdo the other. They were even nigh-indentical in appearance, perhaps sisters or even twins, which made one wonder why they were fighting so determinedly. Neither seemed to be outright trying to kill the other, though the wounds they were leaving on eachother were beginning to look serious, even if they were ignoring them. --- Lvl 50 75/150vs Lvl 50 75/150

Their silent walk was soon interrupted by a battle between two similar pokemon. Staring for a moment, Kaizanu wanted to leave to their dulling, but Vykrytr narrowed his eyes. Family should never fight! "Scyther!" he screeched, his fangs clenched together. Stop! No family should fight, even if not related by blood. Angrily, he felt the spirits of his twin scythes come to him, increasing his strength to stop this unruly fighting. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the enemies. Was he going against his own morals should he engage with these two? Yes, he realized, but he had to. "Scy?" he looked to Kaizanu for direction. He would not engage until he was given the okay, for disobedience was worst than going against family. "Go; Akita go in for backup," she instructed, realizing that Akita's backup was more or less the ending blow in most battles. Kaizanu stood back, folding her arms. It was time to see how her speedy friend battled on land, but it was clear that he was stronger than even these two females, not combined, but individually. Akita stepped forward and roared, feeling herself relax as the battle began. Sure enough, her legs felt stronger, and she felt lighter. Speed was in her favor, now, and she rushed forward. If a battle blinded these two from their surroundings, than they were even worse fighters than Kaizanu's youngest. She narrowed her eyes and readied to attack. "Time it precisely, guys," Kaizanu whispered. The mask over her face tinted the battle scene, but did not obscure what she saw. Akita charged, quickly whipping around with her tail encased by water. Thrashing the female scyther closest to her was her intention while Vykrytr quickly moved forward. Scythes gleaming in the dim light of the forest, just as he threw his sharpened blades together, a sharpened frosted air blade claimed the second nearest scyther as its prey.

0.3 ![]() Appearances could be deceiving, and two of the strongest the forest could offer would likely not have gotten that way by being unable to notice the shriek of one of their own kind and the roar of a Feraligatr about to engage them. So, moments after Vykrytr called on the power to strengthen himself, the sisters' scythes clashes together with a great ring and, in a single, swift movement, they turned to engage their new enemies, side to side and eyes narrow. Every ounce of hostility toward one another melted instantly. That, friend, is called baiting a trap. As Akita looked to raise her speed to above her opponents', two Scyther became four, four became eight, and soon there was a line of illusionary bug types before the two trained pokemon, each indentical down to the most minute detail, including the rhythm of their breath. It was impossible to tell where one sister's illusions ended and another's began, or to tell the real from the fake. Of course, Akita and Vykrytr tried, but both her water-coated tail and his blades of air harmlessly passed through duplicates that were quickly replaced as the twin fighters repeated their trick a second time, each of the Scyther splitting further and further until they surrounded the pair in a ring. Eyes hungry, legs tensed to spring, an attack could come from any direction, at any time, aimed at any target. --- :akita Lvl 60 243/243 x 27+5 Attack EV, +2 Sp Attack EV, +20 Speed EV, +2 Defense EV Ability: Torrent Item: Muscle Band [+2 Speed] Lvl 60 180/180 x 7Ability: Technician Item: Silver Powder [+2 Attack] vs Lvl 50 75/150 x 2[+2 Evade] (used Double Team x 2) |

Kaizanu grinned. Smart. She looked onwards as her two pokemon searched through the illusions. Had she thought for a moment longer, she might have put on her night vision goggles with thermal imaging for easy pickings, but she wasn't so unfair like that. This was a battle for her pokemon to learn, not take the easy way out. "Give'em something to really dance about," she said a little louder. Akita stopped searching and nodded, planting her feet firmly. Exhaling, her steamy breath suddenly became frost. Frozen particles fell as they felt suddenly heavy, given weight by the icy feraligatr. She widened her stance and held her arms, hands turned upwards, far from her body as she summoned a legendary wind from her body. This was the power that she set within herself and a power that her former friend had donated. Power and savagery were all the same to her. However fierce Akita was, was however strong she would end up being. In a moment, a burst of cold air ripped across the already frozen forest, piling up against the trees and weighing further the brittle branches of the Primeval Forest. "Ga... tor," she grumbled deep in her throat, each frosted breath curling up like the last. Each moment passed and became colder. Like the moment death had come to bare down. Blinding winds passing blinding white flurries onto their enemies tore into the battlefield, obscuring all vision, not just the enemy's scyther, but Vykrytr would not be deterred. While Akita had prepared the field for a blind battle, he had been summoning his own brand of legendary might. It took him longer to prepare, but that didn't bother him. When he was ready, his scythes stroked the frigid air, throwing out arcs of fury and razor-edged wind. Unlike his attack before, it was not a single blade, but a flurry. Accompanied by the blizzard's wind and biting cold, he was sure he would hit something if only mildly. After all, if they were going to go into a battle blind, they might as well go with this mentality: can't miss the pinata every time if you swing the bat a million times... right? And so, the battle continued.

0.3 The sisters, though confident they had the advantage, momentarily faltered as the chilling storm kicked up, bringing with it a biting wind and flakes of razored ice. The surrounding trees swayed in protest, and a faint wind howled amongst the foliage. The copies' fluttering wings bent under the wind's imposing presence, but each illusion, commanded by the true form, was determined to remain confident. They would not allow this gator and her frosty tricks to play games with them. Suddenly, however, the wind became much more fierce. The male of their species that had chosen to side against them began firing up its technique, a vortex of furious wind swirling about its frame. Then suddenly, violently, its gleaming scythes lashed out, releasing blows of edged wind that were caught up in the flurry and sent slicing about the area like so many wild lassos. The copies were unprepared, and they began fading out one by one as their shimmering bodies were rent through by flashing, invisible blades. Not content to do nothing as their plan was foiled, the group decided to turn the tables and began an assault in return. Blinded or not, it no longer mattered. Visibility from the blizzard would only get worse before it got better. As several identical and harsh hisses rang out above the ghostly wail of Akita's storm, the remaining copies leaped into the fray, all but unnoticed amidst the virtual haze about them. One sister and her created clones, fueled by a violent temper, lashed out with her remaining strength in a bloodlust craze, first increasing their strength via Swords Dance and allowing their scythes to blindly flash, seeking any of Akita's exposed body. Several of the aims were not true, but enough of the technique caught that the gator stumbled back, no doubt growling at her sundered flesh. The others, relying more on their calculated thinking, sought Vykrytr's weaknesses as their buzzing wings lashed in sync with the dicing blades as the harsh bite of the surrounding air was turned on the Scyther. As the exchange of attacks died down, the blizzard settled, allowing a cleared view of the past events. Most of the copies were caught in the crossfire, but a still few lingered at the sisters' sides. Contrary to the ferocity of Kaizanu's Pokemon, the sisters yet stayed conscious, fueled by their desire for revenge as they fought. The blows sustained by the trainer's Pokemon, no matter how violent in their attempt, left no lasting mark, as evidenced by the Pokemon's confident and unhindered stances. Vykrytr seemed slightly more winded, however, as the opponent targeting him seemed much more aware of his weaknesses. :akita ![]() Level 60 202/243 ![]() ![]() Level 60 123/180 VS ![]() Level 50 5/150 ![]() -EVA +2, ATK +1 ![]() Level 50 12/150 ![]() -EVA +2 |

Quite a resilient pair, actually. Kaizanu tilted her head up and looked at the battle again - it should have been over, but these two quick-footed scythers weren't getting hit like she had hoped. "Finish'em off. Can't waste time out here; I'd rather us just get on with searching," she said, though the truth was probably in the fact that she had to move to generate heat. Kaizanu couldn't feel her toes! Not quite liking the feeling the numbness, the trainer shifted side to side on her feet. Vykrytr stopped mid-step and breathed deeply. Each scythed arm scratched across one another, sharpening the bladed edge. Then, he rushed forward, towards his enemy sisters. A sweeping cut horizontal followed up by a hook with the other arm. "Scy!" he hissed, deeper in pitch than his female counterparts. With as much strength as he could muster, as he hooked his enemy, he attempted to toss the female scyther into the other, to stop any advances they were attempting to make. He came in at the dog pile, smashing the back side of his scythes into the enemies, careful to avoid cutting or jabbing his boxing companion. Unlike Vykrytr, Akita had claws and hands. Slamming her fists together until small chips of ice began flying off of them, Akita hunched her body guarding with her fists near her face, eyes stuck on the enemy scythers. Engaging the opposite of her friend, Akita began boxing. A left and then a right, followed by ducking and an uppercut. A miss? She quickly slammed her elbow in place, rather than let things go to waste. It would end here. Upon catching her enemy, she threw her in with Vykrytr's hook. Ending the match, Kaizanu hoped to move on and continue their searching. A drowzee, eevee, or random chanced chansey - these things were her top priority, not these two bugs.

0.2 The two sisters stood, panting heavily, sucking in what breath they could as the blizzard swirling about them began to die away. They had taken to the battle with a fierce vigor, but it was obvious that the trainer's Pokemon possessed strength that surpassed even their own. Perhaps it had been a mistake to engage the duo, but it was really the only way to test their prowess. Yes, they would lose, but it would only ignite their passion to shoot for greater heights. Matching Vykrytr's guttural hiss with two ferocious snarls of their own, the sister's charged, meeting their opponents midday. The male Scyther lashed out first, his scythes flashing forward and swiping across his foe's torso, throwing her backwards. A new diagonal mark across her chest, she fell to her back, gasping one last time before falling still. Vykrytr slowed his assault and glanced sideways at his partner, allowing her to have the fair share of the win. Stone-hard fist met flashing scythe, and a hideous sound resembling nails on a chalkboard echoed across the space. Akita's pure brawn overpowered her smaller opponent, and the female stumbled backward, faltering. The Feraligatr took the opportunity to lean in with her left hook, catching the Scyther just along the neck with ice punch. A chime of ice shattering tinkled from the encounter as the remaining sister was lifted into the air, feeling momentarily weightless as she soared, surrounded by glittering shards that danced around her body. The moment of beauty came to a quick end as she clattered to the ground, her unconscious frame draped across her sisters, as if the two were sleeping. 0.8 for Kaizanu's champions... I'm hoping. Just like that, the battle was over. Kaizanu saw the ferocity the two had fought with and was proud. It was this pride that carried them through the battles past and future. Vykrytr may have not shared that past, but he would be in their futures. Silently, the trio began to move on, leaving what footprints they had left in that snow to melt away into perfect disguise. It seemed that the pokemon they searched for were also blending in with their environment. Pausing for a moment, her pokemon turned around to see their trainer pulling out a funny looking pair of goggles. Removing her toasty hood, Kaizanu felt the bracing cold on the back of her head, but luckily, her face was all warm from the mask. Strapping the goggles on, she pulled her hood back up, shivering for a moment before she flicked on the appropriate sensors. The trees appeared in dark blue and almost purple colors, warmest was the fringe of light blue between the leaves were air was not being blown about. Testing, Kaizanu looked towards her two pokemon, see that they were warmest in their bodies, whereas their extremities appeared a cooler shade of blue. Looking at her own hands, Kaizanu said, "Let's finish our search quickly." She realized that her pokemon's adrenaline and pumping heart was keeping them superheated for the moment, but unless they got moving, they would stand as frozen statues. Leading her two pokemon, Kaizanu continued to scan the horizon, sweeping her eyes across the ways, looking for particular thermal images. Fresh tracks, bodies, or even random thermal signatures. It would not be too hard to create a warm spot in her field of vision, due to the subzero temperatures all around them. The only issue she would have would be spotting the warm area before it was reclaimed by the snow. Akita, close at hand, pulled the mitts over her forehands and began to crawl along, nose hovering above the snow, scenting the air and ground for the smell of pokemon. Her eyes were locked on the area before her, and occasionally, she would glance behind her to see the tracks she had left: four paws marks and a line between them where she dragged her heavy tail along. Certainly, Akita was no snow-dwelling pokemon, but she was perfect to hide among the soft flakes. Her white scales could be so vain as to call themselves as pure at these snow crystals. The crests that lined her backs as the sullen waves of a beach somewhere else, could be those old, frozen leaves that are so blue from waiting, they are teal. Finally, the gator's eyes are those of the sun, golden and precious, the only true warmth Akita could ever exude. If only for a moment before falling into that vast eternity of sleep. "Feraligatr," she said, looking up at Kaizanu, though she didn't have to look too much further. Even crawling, the gator almost reached her trainer's height. Rubbing her massive head against her trainer, Kaizanu almost toppled over, regaining her balance by grabbing a gentle hold on Akita's head crest. Kaizanu smiled. "Hopefully, we'll get back soon." Looking over at Vykrytr, she pulled him into a hug. It was awkward, walking like this, but Kaizanu enjoyed the closeness of her family. "We'll all enjoy a big Giftmas Feast or something." The thought of it reminded her that she should bring something back - even if it was a small something. She looked behind her and saw that the scythers she had downed were out of sight. Might as well be, wouldn't be much of a Giftmas Feast if the centerpiece was of scythers... Vykrytr probably wouldn't appreciate that. Though, he looked back behind himself and licked his nonexistent lips. Maybe he would appreciate it? Vykrytr was still a mystery, but as long as he didn't turn his scythed arms against Kaizanu, she was fine.

0.3 The shrine grounds possessed an air of both mystery and importance, as it was evident this was a place of holy proportions. If there ever was a place in the forest where it would be likely for Legendary Pokemon and forest deities alike to make themselves known, it would be here. As such, it was these hallowed grounds where various tribes and groups had erected their altars and stands in honor of those higher beings they called their gods. So, as Kaizanu wandered along with her Pokemon in the dank of night, it was not uncommon to run across these places designated on the guardians' behalf. Night had fallen, and Kaizanu had donned her night-vision goggles as a suitable response. Everything felt seemed very hazy and green as a result, but movement could easily be made out. Had she bothered to take a glance at the nearest altar that stood quite a distance away, it might be possible for her to make out a small figure, its arms waving somewhat haphazardly as a strange aura glowed and played about its stout frame. Supposing the trainer took the time to investigate further, it would soon become evident that a tiny psychic Pokemon was walking around the platform. The alter itself was made of marble, with four towering pillars standing at its four corners. A statue stood in the middle, its body twisted into some human yet still grotesque shape. Around its feet lay what upon first glance appeared to be stones but soon revealed themselves to be statues of human heads, their expressions pained and horror-struck. Here the Pokemon, identified as a Drowzee, walked, its gait awkward and hesitant. The psychic moved slowly, and its chanting issued through a raspy, deep voice pointed to its ancient history. Still, the Pokemon walked, moving in a designated pattern as it voiced its chants in some otherworldly language. Lost deeply in its reverie, the tribal Pokemon would take no notice of Kaizanu or her Pokemon, entranced as it was in... whatever it was doing. ![]() Level 50 150/15- ![]() |

Kaizanu scanned the dark horizon, her two pokemon by her side. Night had come fast upon them, for they had wasted an entire day fighting a scyther pair that were truly hardy. She stopped, the crunch of her footfalls fading, her pokemon also pausing. They heard something... chanting. Confused, Kaizanu swept her eyes once more across the edge of the forest, and eventually, she sighted something strange. A massive structure that was as cold as its environment, if not colder. Upon the granite, a strange tapir stood. He looked no different than the others of his species, nor did he seem to act any different. Instead, he stood there, chanting some kind of incantation. He appeared completely oblivious of Kaizanu and her team, though she had learned better to believe that from her last encounter. Playing her up. It still made her angry, even if it was still a victory on her part. Judging from the strength of the drowzee and her own scyther, she decided that double teaming the enemy was unneccesary. In fact, it was just downright wrong. Kaizanu looked over towards Vykrytr and nodded to him. It was his time to shine. The dragon pokemon stepped forward, nodding to his contender if he noticed. Kaizanu, for a moment, thought about just talking the drowzee along, but realized that the pokemon might not listen. And it wasn't for her own possession anyway, so Kaizanu shrugged. If it was angry, so be it. It wouldn't be her problem. "Take'em down like a swift nighthawk," Kaizanu ordered, sending out her bug. Standing back with Akita, she looked over to her gator. Not as agitated as she normally was, Akita settled to putting her head on Kaizanu's, resting for the moment. Vykrytr looked ahead at his opponent. It wasn't the chance to take him down. Instead, Kaizanu had a purpose intended for this pokemon. He would have to weaken the pokemon to the brink, but not passed that. He steadied him, taking a battle stance. Right scythe vertical, left scythe horizontal in a sword-like fashion. He stood ready, but he thought about which attack to use. It came to him, like Kaizanu had said, swift as a nighthawk. Quickly, a dark shadow began to radiate off the edge of his scythes. Grinning, he rushed forward. Sharpened by darkness and forged in the eternal flames of damnation, Vykrytr swung his arms in an arc, attempting to carve up the drowzee, preventing him from fleeing. Once down, the scyther looked at the drowzee, placing his bladed arm against the pokemon's throat. "Are you ready to die?" he hissed in his pokespeech. Kaizanu barked something, and Vykrytr smirked. Lucky. "You get to live today." Vykrytr lifted his arm and came down guillotine style, but with the blunt side of his arm, knocking the drowzee outside the head. Kaizanu followed up, throwing a dusk ball at the drowzee once her scyther backed away. "Well, this is what we were looking for. Let's see if it'll come willingly," she said, walking up. The ball rocked, but would it stay shut? She looked onwards, beyond their fighting grounds.

.3 (Your posts always make me feel inadequate to responding to them... ._.) The scyther danced gracefully onto the battlefield, blades lashing out to maim, but not kill. It was fortunate that he had been made aware of this beforehand, since the level difference with type advantage would have laid the Drowzee out in a single hit without such. With some room to spare. The blades lanced through the hypnosis pokemon's hide, drawing blood in an artful display of grace and power that was unrivalled in most circles. The limpid eyes gazed up at the scyther as he hissed, deep as pools, full of the night, of the deep darkness, as the insect prepared to finish the hapless tapir off, distracted momentarily by a call from his trainer. As he looked down to all but finish his foe off, he met those eyes once more, depthless as the night sky, and as unfathomable, falling into them without meaning to. The scyther's wings twitched as he fought the effect for a moment, then slumped over the badly wounded drowzee. And then a pokeball arced through the air, powerful in the shadows itself, snapping closed about the psychic beast, and stilling in moments, leaving only the spattering of blood from the Scyther's first attack, and the sleeping Scyther in the glade with the trainer and the icy Gatr. Without those, it would seem almost as if nothing had happened at all here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ![]() Lv. 60 126/183 ~ Asleep vs. ![]() Lv. 50 9/150 ![]() ~Hypnosis ~Catch'd Edit: And the drowzeething has 12 points and the scytherthing gets .7

Kaizanu grinned. Vykrytr sat, soundly asleep after being attacked, but at least the target had been captured. The two standbys walked up to the battlefield, sighting the blood that would be quickly freeze into the landscape. Nothing could be done about it, so Kaizanu shrugged. "Think of it as a tribute," she said, turning around and scanning the great shrine in the middle. A libation for the God of Pokemon or whomever this shrine is dedicated to. Approaching her bug pokemon, she kneeled down to him, patting him on the face lightly. Unfortunately, he wasn't going to be waking anytime soon. Pulling out an Awakening from her pack, she waved the small vile about his nose. The pungent scent of ammonia shook the scyther. He looked around, awake. Nodding, he stood up - what battle had amounted had been successful, he assumed. There was blood stains on the snow where he had forced the drowzee down, and then, everything went blank. Hypnosis? Likely. As Vykrytr stood up, he felt woozy and wobbled slightly before steadying himself on Kaizanu. "Scy," he said apologetically. He was a failure for letting the drowzee get to him. He looked away from Kaizanu and Akita; he wasn't worth it. "Don't think that way," Kaizanu said, knocking him in the shoulder. "We'll all have ups and downs. Don't worry about it." She tried cheering the scyther up, but he seemed to want to stay permanently down. Looking to Akita, she needed some back up, it appeared. The white alligator, bent over, picking up the scyther and began to walk with Kaizanu. They wouldn't last long just standing there. "It's okay. I've even fainted during battle before," Akita explained. There wasn't a manner of battle that guaranteed victory every time. "Just don't worry about it, okay?" He looked at Akita and knew she spoke the truth. "Okay," he replied. He stood on his own two feet and walked. Again, all three walked through the desolate forest, this time moving back towards town, although they continued to search for pokemon to fight with. With the need to continuously become stronger, Kaizanu would always search for those who would oppose. "Soon, we're going to take on the greatest endeavor of our lives," Kaizanu said, searching her thoughts for an inkling of the future.

.3 1 on your scyther for making him feel betterSo you began your journey back into town, you Scyther seemed like he was feeling better and it was all thanks to you and Akita. He gained more love and trust for both of you. However luck wasn't exactly on your side, because just as you were leaving the shrine, Two pokemon were coming there to pay their respects. They were infact friends and the pair of pokemon spotted your group almost right away. after-all you guys did stick out like sore thumbs in this place. The first pokemon was a Tropius, and on it's left side was a Ursaring. Both seemed like they'd be formatable foes, and both were upset to see a human and her pets roaming around this sacred shrine. "How dare you set foot in an area such as this!" the Ursaring shouted at your group as the two pre-pared for battle. They weren't going to let you leave without putting up a fight first. ![]() Level 50 ![]() Level 50 Edited by Curtis, Dec 31 2009, 05:22 PM.

Kaizanu blinked as she was roared at by a massive bear. Almost nine inches taller than herself, she was dwarfed by most large pokemon. Then, right next to the ursaring, an even more massive, though more quiet, pokemon stood at the ready. At least Kaizanu had Akita nearby. Falling behind the towering gator, Kaizanu was not usually intimidated by opposing pokemon, but the roar had simply startled her. Vykrytr put a scythe on her shoulder and smiled. "Ther," he said, comforting his trainer. She smiled in return. "I'm good," she said. Standing tall again, Kaizanu readied for the battle. Looking to Vykrytr, in his state, he would never stand up to a blow from either. "Mind hanging back?" Kaizanu asked, looking at Akita. He nodded. After all, he had gotten the last battle, why not just switch off? But still... looking at the opponents, he wondered if Akita would be fine on her own. Maybe... "She'll be fine. Trust me." Kaizanu gave a look to Akita and gestured her away. It was time for the stage to light up with the forever glow of battle. "Feraligatr," she grinned, looking onwards at her opponents. Two on one? A cinch. So she hoped. Slamming her fist into the ground, she scooped up a fistful of snow, crushing it as she balled her hand up. She looked over to her opponents and gestured to her hand. "That'll be you in about... five seconds," she growled cynically. Half expecting some kind of reaction, Akita took the first step, being the fastest of the three. Within her, her heart grew cold, and she shivered. Ice. Snow. All these things that made her look like a furless yeti came to her aid. Sweeping her tail, skimming the surface of the freshly fallen snow, Akita threw the soft flakes at her opponent, a sudden gale coming up from behind her, pressing down on her opponents. This was a power that surged from her depths and so called her the legendary snow gator. Like the Yeti, the Snow Gator is a mythical creature, prepared to rip trespassers to shred. Fortunately, Akita is but a copy of the original. Much more tame than her counterpart, the feraligatr leaped into the fray, eyes set on the bear pokemon as she spotted him through the increasing snowfall. Each crystal did not hurt her, for she summoned it to the spot for her own bidding. Fortunately, she knew that the likes of tropius would have more trouble than the bear, so the bear had to go first. Coming up to the bear, a red aura all around her, Akita went into her fighting mode. Eyes aglow, she stared down the smaller pokemon and, with all her strength, she smashed her fist into the bear's face, or so hoped it would land there. With the first pseudo round over, the blizzard dissipated, and the two bystanders surveyed the battlefield for the results.

The Rocket That Burns The Heavans Red

.2 ![]() The battle was joined. The two newly arriving pokemon charged headlong the moment they saw the pokemon come out to challenge them in the place of the human with whom they had the quarrel with. They were powerful, mighty! But unfortunately for them, their foe was fiercer than anything else. In a simple instant, a burst of icy wind overcame the tropius, freezing its sensitive fronds and sending it flying back with a cry as it fainted, twitching and shivering as its body had to endure the flash freeze, stronger than anything else the tropical pokemon had ever endured. The Ursaring however used the opening to launch in close and swing its paw in a bone shattering arc, only to be suddenly met by the iron scale clad arm of Akita, before the gator suddenly stepped in and used an unnatural show of strength to launch the bear forward, sending it shattering through a tree in the distance and fainting it easily. It had all gone by too fast... In a heartbeart, both pokemon were down for the count, and Akita reigned supreme. -------- 1.6

The battle ended with no fanfare, music, and hadn't even passed long enough to be considered epic. It was a short match, designed to finish off two enemies that had gotten in the way. Akita approached Kaizanu, desiring a pet on the head and job well done. Obliging the pokemon, Kaizanu did just that, looking to Vykrytr when she was done. His mouth was hanging wide open. The performance, in his own eyes, was jaw dropping. Stunning. The way the snow cut in, and the astounding finish. Why. If he were only stronger, Vykrytr would have loved to show a display of power like the one Akita could pull. Congratulating the feraligatr, he suddenly felt himself gravitating to her power. Was this love... was this envy? He could not tell, but he felt the need to see if he could become a similar strength. Kaizanu saw the way he looked at Akita and smiled. "You'll become stronger, and the battlefield will be owned by you." In her mind, she was thinking about his speed. How it surpassed Akita's. Speed and strength - these were the two things that mattered most in a battle. These were the things that mattered most to Kaizanu. Akita had both, and Vykrytr only had one for now. Looking at the two, Kaizanu saw that they were weak - tired. It was time to get them healed up. Gesturing to her two champions, she began to walk. They trailed behind her some distance. Somewhere in the background of it all, Kaizanu heard a gunshot. All of them turned their heads and immediately, Kaizanu thought of Floyd. "We'll hurry up and go heal. Move!" Kaizanu ran for the Town.
