Heather and Faith had been wondering in the Hillmoss Grasslands for a while. Heather kept looking in front of her to see how much closer they were to the border of the next town. Faith, who had been put back into her Pokeball, was getting antsy and her whole Pokeball was wiggling impatiently.

Faith did not understand how her owner, who was running at top speed, was not running fast enough to get to rose town quicker than this. Faith wanted to see the scenery and figure out where they were. She was getting very impatient being locked into the confines of her ball. She understood the need for rest, but a Pokeball was a bit annoying.

Finally the pit patter of Heather's feet running slowed down. Faith was so excited, she knew they were finally at Rose Town. It was their next stop and it could not have come soon enough. She heard her owner panting for a minute to catch her breath. It was so hard to only hear her owner and not see the town that now lay in front of them. Faith shook her pokeball violently hoping her owner would pick up on the subtle cue.

Heather felt Faiths pokeball give a violent shake on the far right of Heathers belt loop. Picking up on what Faith was trying to say Heather grabbed the ball and released Faith. The light from the ball came out, and the little grass like Pokemon was standing there staring at Heather, impatiently tapping her foot.

"Sorry Faith, I didn't think that I should let you out after that Electrike attacked you and paralyzed you."

Chika Chik chika! Faith said rolling her eyes.

Heather picked Faith up in her arms. One thing about it, Faith's nature had proved itself finally. She really definitely was sassy, and Heather liked that. That meant she would keep Heather in line.

"Okay Faith, here is the schedule. First we find the Pokecenter and get you and Lucifer healed. Also we will ask the nurse to figure out what is wrong with Lucifer."

Faith looked at Heather curiously.

"Thats what I decided to name the Electrike. Do you like it?"

Chika chika! Faith said laughing. She liked it very much, because she had felt like that Pokemon was a little demon.

"Then, we go to the adoption center here in Rose Town and pick up a new friend that I adopted via my pokedex."

Chika?

"It is a Murkrow at Level 20. I am going to name him Midnight. That way I can have two of you to keep me in line. Of course he is at a higher level so I am going to let him observe how to work with us. Once he figures out how to work as a team we will let him in on Pokemon battles.

Chik chika chika?

"Yep, that is right, and then we can explore and find Trainers to battle! Which is more exciting than anything else."

Heather, holding Faith in her arms, Headed toward the Pokemon Center to figure out how to deal with whatever Lucifer had. Heather was trying her hardest not to scare Faith, but part of Heather's instinct as a Trainer told her that her little grass type might come down with whatever it was. It scared Heather a bit, but she was not going to tell Faith. Actually she was going to figure out the best way to take care of her Pokemon if they had it. So the first thing she was really going to do at the Pokemon Center was try to talk to a Nurse.

Rose Town was a quaint place. There were all kinds of buildings there - for example, the Rose Town Electric Gym that was run by the eccentric Boe, the Fighting Dojo that was currently under some renovations while its new owner was off in the Dustlands and would be re-opening when he returned.

And, of course, the two coloured buildings that were a familiar sight in basically every town but one - the blue roof of the Pokémon Mart and the red roof of the Pokémon Center.

Walking into that building would very easily reward you with the familiar sight of the nurse that looked like she was in every single one of these, but people who have never left Hillmoss would have not seen that sight before. The Nurse Joys of the Opaddeka Region were a friendly lot, and they got their jobs done with the help of their Chansey and Blissey assistants.

"Welcome to our Pokémon Center! How may I help you?"

Definitely a friendly sorta lady.

She had healing machines and her assistants, as all Pokémon Centers did. So too was there the Trainer's Lounge, with seats, food and drink, and basically everything a wandering Trainer would need. This place was basically a Paradise for those on the road.

Heather burst into the door of the Pokemon Center. Rose Town looked like a great place to hang, but Heather wanted to get her Pokemon healed and check on Lucifer before she wandered around. When Heather got inside the Center she slowed her run to a walk, like most respectable trainers would if they had been told not to run inside their whole life. She walked up to the desk and waited patiently looking around.

She had never been in a Pokemon center before in her life, it actually looked like a nice little place to be. The lounge is what caught Heather's eyes first. There was a big long table with food and snacks spread out all over it. Heather loved to eat so this was definitely the first place she would be headed after she sent her Pokemon to get healed.

Beside the table was a big fountain full of who knew what. There was lots of stuff spread out on the table with the soda fountain on it. This was also a great sight to see as Heather hadn't drank a soda all day long since she had been so excited.

The chairs looked so comfortable, and she could hardly wait to sit in one and relax for a while. It had been a long time since the hot springs visit, and that kept Heather all the more wishing she could sit down. Hopefully if she sat down she would not fall asleep, although she knew it might not be too bad. There was a door that said Trainer Bunk room on it. So if she fell asleep she would just go into the Trainer Bunking room for the night. Surely the people would not care, it had to be there for a reason.

The machines were what caught Heather's eyes next. They looked so complicated and hard to control. Not to mention each machine had about 50,000 buttons on it that you could push. What did these machines do? She wanted to know so much, but she knew sooner or later she would probably get to see them in action.

The last thing that caught Heather's eyes, which was very odd, were the two Pokemon standing behind the desk staring at her with their big eyes. Two rare Pokemon nonetheless. She could not believe it. It was a sight only her mom had told her about. Although when her mom went to nursing school It had just been a Chansey.

Hearing about the Chansey growing up Heather recognized it immediately, and gasped. She could not believe she was so close to this Pokemon that people only saw once in a great moon in the wild. This other Pokemon on the other side was pretty too. Yet Heather did not know the name of that Pokemon. She was so entranced by the whole Pokemon Center that she did not hear the lady behind the desk ask what she could do for her.

Coming to her senses Heather looked up at this Nurse whom had been so invisible before. She was looking at Heather expectantly. Had she just asked a question? Heather looked at her apologetically, she felt pretty annoying now.

"I'm sorry ma'am...but I did not hear what you said."

She said it as politely as she could and hoped this lady did not think anything bad about her.

"Welcome to our Pokemon Center! How may I help you?"

"Oh." Heather said looking down and turning three or four shades of red, "I was wanting to heal my two Pokemon Faith and Lucifer."

Heather held up each Pokeball to show the nurse which one was which.

"Faith is my starter and has been paralyzed by Lucifer, whom I just caught."

When Heather said that a feeling of accomplishment spread all the way to her face and she smiled really big. What else was she going to ask. She could not quite remember handing over her Pokeballs. Before the nurse could do anything though a lightbulb lit up in Heather's head.

"Also Lucifer," She said jestering to the little Elecktrikes ball, "Well when we met him he was totally just spazzing out. Jolts of electricity, and getting angry when poor Faith accidentally ran into him. I was hoping you could check him out and maybe tell me what he has. Also, if and when my Pokemon and I will get whatever it is."

Heather was a little nervous, she did not want anything to happen to her or her Pokemon. She was looking down hoping nothing was wrong, silently praying in her head that nothing was wrong. If the nurse was looking at her fingers that very moment both hands would have the fingers crossed in hopes that if her Pokemon did get it it would not be life threatening.

.3 (You know, I really...don't have anything interesting or creative to do with a post about healing your pokemon up. x.x I usually don't even RP such, myself, at least, without major cause, and having popped in at the tail end of this Pokerus, I don't even know much about that, having had to try to play catch-up. But...here goes nothing, to at least let you continue.)

There was a few minutes of suspense, while the nurse and her companions headed into the back to patch up your pokemon, but the smile when she returned was reassuring, at least.

“Your Pokémon may be infected with Pokérus. Little is know about the Pokérus except that they are microscopic lifeforms that attach to Pokémon. While infected, Pokémon are said to grow exceptionally well.”

*coughs* Well, she doesn't say EXACTLY that, but...hey. I couldn't resist. "They should be fine. I'd be a little careful with the Electrike, he seems to be infected with that pokerus disease. Don't worry, though...they've got a cure for it just about ready. It mostly makes a pokemon more agressive, so be prepared." With that, she hands your pokeballs back to you, "I hope to see you again!"

You know, I've always wondered if those nurses are sadists, wishing they'd see you again, when they only see you when you're putting your pokemon back together again after having had them beating other pokemon up...

It's probably just politeness, though. Reallly.
Don't go worrying too much about people who think they're crazy...it's the ones that think they're normal that are scary.

By the way, in reality, I'm a girl. Really.
