Heather had just walked out of Hillmoss her old hometown. It was so hard for her to see it as old right now. It seemed so unreal that she was going to start on the big journey she had waited a lifetime to get to. Her dreams, and her tiny Pokemon's dreams, were laying just ahead of them, not reachable yet. She knew they would soon find the dreams that they were searching for, but every trainer has to start somewhere. Heather had enjoyed holding Faith in her arms. All her friends from Hillmoss were petting Faith and loving on her. Heather felt an odd sort of jealousy at how much Faith got along with her friends. Faith was hers and hers alone, and Heather didn't want Faith to like anyone better then her. Faith, sensing Heather's jealousy, had sat in Heather's lap after getting attention from all of Heather's friends. It was just sitting there and getting acquainted with each other. It was odd to think of it as Faith, a little Chikorita, trying to comfort Heather, let her know she would never be replaced. It helped a lot for Heather to see this, and it helped her know she would always have Faith no matter how many different people walked in and out of their life. As of now they had just walked over the borders of Hillmoss, and Heather was in awe at all the paths she could take. She had never ventured out this far because she was not allowed to. If her mom ever needed to get supplies that were needed, she would order them over the phone. Usually all the shopping marts had a professional trainer on staff to bring supplies to people that could not venture from their town. Not everyone had a Pokemon to use when they needed to go somewhere. Heather was staring in awe at the place she was seeing for the first time. She totally lost all train of thought and was looking every which way. Where should she go? Chika...Chik Faith piped out just to remind Heather she was there. Heather could tell by the shakiness in Faith's voice that she was just as surprised as Heather at what lay out of the little town of Hillmoss. "How far away do you think the next town is?" Heather asked Faith, already feeling overwhelmed. Chika? "So you are pretty much in awe too, huh Faith?" Looking ahead of her, Heather saw a sign. She motioned for Faith to follow her just so she could see it too. The sign had four different landmarks. At that moment in time the one on the East looked the most fun to check out. Heather loved old Tourist attractions, because they were beautiful once and just ended up losing their beauty because so many people saw them. This was one tourist attraction Heather wanted to see. She wanted to admire the Beauty it once had. "So Faith, does this sound good? Lets see what is so great about this loch place here in the East." Faith looked up at her owner Heather. There was so much she had learned, but still so much that caught her by surprise. Why? When they were in a place where Pokemon could appear at any moment, was her owner wanting to visit an old Tourist attraction? Faith realizing it meant a lot to Heather nodded her head in agreement. Hopefully it was a good aspect of her owner that she was so sentimental about things like this. She had enough trust in her owner to know soon her owner would decide to train her somehow. "I bet you are eager to battle aren't you Faith?" Heather asked suddenly as if she sensed her Pokemon's thoughts, "I'll keep my eye out for you so that maybe you can find a Pokemon to battle. You keep your eye out too, especially if you think the Pokemon would be a good friend. I'm eager to catch a new Pokemon." Faith looked up. She knew that from Heather's actions a new Pokemon would not replace her. Yet at the same time she felt kind of jealous that Heather already wanted to catch a new Pokemon. Thinking this in her head she looked up at Heather. At least she would hopefully get a battle if Heather kept her eye out. Chik chika! She said as a sign of that sounding good. It was the first time of many they would solve a problem as a team. Faith felt so happy for that, that her owner could sense her thoughts. Heather put Faith down and they happily both started running to the East. The start of the adventure was just beginning, they both could hardly wait to see what lay ahead. Unless you're wandering aimlessly for the time being. ______________________________ As you make your way along the grasslands, you hear a rustle in the bushes. The many bushes in the entire place rustle as well...it could be just the wind...or it could be an ambush. Lucky for you, a strong breeze just happened to blow through and it was simply the leaves being rustled by the wind. From a nearby tree, a branch snapped from the tree and landed directly into a bush. A loud squawk of pain that sounded distinctly like "ME-OWWW!" A white feline emerged from the bush that the branch had fallen into and it held its tail, smoothing out the fur on it and licking at it slowly. The tail flicked softly, causing the Meowth to wince slightly. It seemed oblivious to you...until you and Chikorita started talking. It's eyes widened and it charged back behind the bush, as though to hide. It didn't know if you had seen or heard it, after all. Though, it's tail stuck out from the side of the bush and the large ears wiggled softly above the bush. The sun reflected off the coin and directly into your face, though the Meowth wasn't aware that it was grabbing your attention at all, if it was. A pair of blue eyes stared at you and Faith through the bushes and the tail flicked softly, claws digging into the ground and ready to unleash its fury if it felt threatened! ![]() Level 7 21/21 ![]() -Hiding from you; horribly even- |

.3 (okay, got it. I couldn't remember the name of the place.) Heather was talking aimlessly the whole time they were going toward the East. Faith was on Heather's heels following her. True to her word Faith was looking for Pokemon at her eye level. Which is where most Pokemon would have appeared, within an eyes distance anyway. Heather, who was fairly new at the training thing, did not realize most Pokemon were smaller then her. She was looking at her eye level, mostly up in the trees. For some reason Heather's mind kept making her think all Pokemon were as big as a Dragonite, and as obvious to spot. Heather was also expecting there to be some bird Pokemon flying overhead, although she had not quite figured out what she would do to lure them down if she found them. There were no bird Pokemon overhead, and this exasperated Heather, "You seeing anything yet Faith? Because I am seeing zilch, zero, nothing." Sitting down in the grass Heather already felt frustrated. How could she ever become a good trainer if she gave up on a search this fast? Was there any Pokemon in the grassland? What if everything she had heard about thousands of Pokemon being there was a lie? Faith was a little annoyed at Heather giving up so quickly. She kept her eyes out while she watched her owner. Where was Heather looking? There were tons of Pokemon around, but they were all hiding. Faith knew she was not allowed to point out the obvious, but she was wondering if Heather even realized anything about searching for Pokemon. Chika chik chik! Faith was trying her hardest to scold Heather and tell her to get up. Heather looked down at her faithful friend. They had only known each other for a short time and already one of them was more persistant than the other. Heather was hoping she would gain the persistancy of her Chikorita hanging out with her more. "You're right Faith." Heather said sighing again and pulling herself up. "We can't just give up, we have only been journeying for a while. Surely there is a pokemon somewhere in this vast land." Chika! Faith said, proud of herself that she made her owner get up and stop moping. She was also trying to tell her owner "Duh, there are tons of Pokemon out here, you just can't see them." "Okay lets..." ME-OWWW! Heather stopped talking as she heard it. She had heard a big bang in the bushes, but she didn't know what had happened. That sound, didn't sound like a human though. Heather motioned for Faith to keep quiet and then kneeled down to her level. "Faith, what was that?" Heather whispered in her ear. Chika... Faith answered trying to tell her owner she did not know. Suddenly, after she answered she did know. There, sticking out from behind a bush that was right in front of them, were two little ears, and a tail. Chik chika! Faith said this quietly motioning to the bush with the leaf on her head. Heather looked up and followed her eyes to where the little Chikorita's leaf was pointing. While she did a bright glare ended up in her eyes. "I can hardly see," Heather whispered, "Something behind that bush is blinding me. I have never seen a bush with ears and a tail before though..." Chik chika chik. Faith said this as nicely as possible while she was rolling her eyes. The bush wasn't a Pokemon, but whatever was behind the bush was. Thinking that her owner seriously thought there was a Pokemon with a bush body and furry ears and Tail made Faith almost laugh. She stifled her laughter though. Heather who was still staring at the bush got an idea and kneeled again down to Faith's level. She was getting prepared to whisper her idea in Faith's ears. Faith, who realized her trainer was about to give a command on what to do, got really excited. Perhaps this would be their first battle together. She leaned towards Heather's mouth awaiting the response. "Okay Faith, here's what you need to do. I have a feeling that Pokemon, whatever it is, is scared of me. So it won't come out. However, if you sneak up behind it through the grass it might." Faith still did not quite understand what Heather wanted her to do. She looked at Heather quizzically and waited for Heather to explain the best way to do this. Heather noticed that Faith was lost so she tried again. "Go as far away from the bush as you can, and walk straight into the grass. Then follow the grass quietly to where the bush is. Once you get to the bush go down through the grass to it and jump at that Pokemon yelling Boo! or something." Now Faith understood. She nodded her head and started walking as far away from the bush as possible. Then she went into the grass to prepare for the next move. Heather sat down in the grass acting like she didn't know anything. It was up to her trusty partner, Faith to pull the first part off. Heather was counting on her, and knew she would do a great job. ![]() lv. 5 15/15 ![]() Still headed toward Loch Neeru. Edited by angelluv01, Oct 4 2009, 03:28 PM.

.3 ![]() The Meowth thought herself quite clever as she hid behind the bush. But when she saw the Chikorita head off in another direction, she grew slightly confused. The feline, oblivious to the trainer now, used her prowess(however little it was) to search for where the Chikorita might have gone. She looked around cautiously, her tail curving downward as she tapped along through the grass, coming out of her cover. Then, when the Chikorita emerged from the bushes to scare the living daylights out of the wild Pokemon, a loud squawk of fright escaped Meowth's lips. "MEOOOOW!" Claws emerged from her paws and two swift swipes sent a cross shaped pair of scratches across Chikorita's face. Meowth then scrambled out of the bushes and out into the open, tail erect as she stooped into a position that looked as though she was ready to pounce. This was her way of getting ready for battle, a stance, if you will. Now, it would seem that Chikorita hadn't done a very smart thing in scaring the Meowth, as she was now in a bit of pain from the claws. The tan feline narrowed her eyes at the plant, hissing and growling as the creature's eyes became dilated at the thought of digging her claws into your little grass type once more. ![]() Level 5 10/15 ![]() Vs. ![]() Level 7 21/21 ![]() -Ready to pounce/fight- |

.4-(Wow it took me a long time to think up a response to this. lol) Heather watched Faith disappear into the grass. She was so sure her plan was foolproof, there was no other way to say it. Heather thought herself one of the biggest genius' Rookie Trainers with her idea. She failed to realize that if the Meowth came out it would not be in the spirit to join her team. Sitting on the ground and acting like there was nothing out of the ordinary Heather kept her eye on the place where Faith had disappeared. She was using her peripheral vision to track where Faith was and had been. The last thing she wanted to do was let the Meowth in on her master, genius plan. While Heather was watching Faith make her way slowly through the grass she did not pay any attention to the Meowth. It was as oblivious to her as she was to it. Which was one of the first mistakes a Trainer could make. If Heather had been watching she would have seen Meowths' tail curled down, and ears erect, listening for the Chikorita. All Heather noticed was the change in atmosphere which almost certainly indicated that the Meowth was confused about where Faith had disappeared. This was very good, as it was the first step needed to complete her master plan. The grass waved slightly with every move Faith made. Heather was watching Faiths progress as she came close to the bush. There was a pause for a moment, as if Faith was unsure. Heather held her breath. Faith was right there behind the Meowth. Then everything turned to pure Chaos. CHIKAAAAA! Heather heard Faith screaming, and saw her jump at the Meowth. The Meowth turned around as if it had just been struck by lightning. Then the chaos happened. MEOOOOW! The claws came out of the Meowths Paws. Heather had to squeeze her eyes shut, but even that wasn't enough to keep her from knowing what was happening. She heard the sound of claws hitting skin. Then heard a surprised, but ready to attack, squeal from her Chikorita. Heather did not want to open her eyes, but knew she had to for the sake of Faith. The Meowth scrambled out of the bushes and looked ready to attack at any moment. Faith scrambled out next with two scratch marks crossed on her face. Now it was Heather's call to assess the situation. A battle seemed almost imminent now, but what if they lost. How would everyone react back in her hometown when they found out that Heather, just starting her journey, had lost her first Pokemon battle. Heather observed Faith for a moment to see if there was anything that indicated nervousness. Heather was half hoping to see nervousness on Faith's face, but there was none there. Faith was glaring at the Meowth and seemed prepared to get revenge whatever it took. Heather wanted to go with her Pokemon's stance, but as a trainer she had to make the final decision. If she pulled Faith out now, Faith would feel that Heather had no belief in her. If she did not pull Faith away from the situation, Faith could faint and be mad at Heather for letting her get that far. Such a hard call as a trainer, Heather had never known. "Faith?" Heather called out, "Are you sure you are up for this. If you are I am ready for our first battle, but if not let me know now." Faith looked at her owner in surprise. It seemed to her that her owner was really worried about the outcome. Faith, being the way she was, was prepared for anything, even if the outcome was not so good. She looked back at Heather with determination. Chika! That was Heather's cue. As much as Heather felt worried that it was not going to be a good outcome, she also had a feeling that Faith was ready whatever the outcome was. Heather looked at her Chikorita and smiled. It was a nervous smile, but a smile none the less. "Okay," Heather was thinking of the next approach, "Growl at that Meowth, show it you are as scary as it is, then tackle it." Heather assessed the situation again and decided to add one more thing. "Be careful Faith, that Meowth has just had the scare of it's life. It is ready to attack you no matter what the cause." Faith looked at Heather smiling. It was time for the first battle to begin. Although she had already lost 5 hp she would try her hardest to get that Meowth back. Not just for revenge, but so her owner could have another Pokemon to fall back on. Especially if something were to happen to Faith, like fainting. Chika chika! Faith nodded to show she understood and got prepared to have the fight of her life. She was so happy her owner believed in her enough to trust her opinion. Now she had to show her owner her opinion was not wrong. Lv. 5 10/15 Ability: Overgrow Growl 40/40Tackle 35/35Headed toward: Loch neeru Vs. ![]() Lv. 7 21/21

0.3 ![]() The cat narrowed her eyes and hissed as Faith glared back at her. Her hackles rose as she flattened her ears, trying to make herself look larger and intimidate the Chikorita. This plant dinosaur was invading her territory, and she wanted the dinosaur to go away. What's more, the dinosaur tried to shorten her lifespan by scaring her! That was unforgivable! She hissed again when you gave your orders. Faith returned the hiss with a growl of her own. The Meowth was undaunted, though there was a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes. It was gone in an instant, and the cat opened her mouth, and returned the growl with a bone-grating Screech. Faith shivered a bit upon hearing the screech, but she shook it off and charged towards the Meowth. The cat readied her stance in order to receive the attack so that she would have an easier time of hitting the Chikorita. She allowed the Chikorita to hit her, and grasped the Chikorita while resisting the Tackle. She then pulled back a paw, unsheathed her claws, and raked upwards at the Chikorita. Almost immediately, she followed it up with her other paw, claws extended already. She made another upwards rake. Faith was now vaulted a bit into the air. The cat then jumped up to the Chickorita, claws tearing at her from below. Now above the Chikorita, she brought the claws crashing down, sending Faith spinning right towards Heather. Fury Swipes ended thus, the Meowth landed with her back towards you. She gave you a glare. Lesson has been taught. She disappeared into the trees and bushes where she popped up from. Maybe that should teach you not to mess with higher leveled Pokemon without any backup? ![]() Lvl 5 0/15

.3 Heather watched the Meowth glaring at her and Faith. Was this such a good idea? Heather was about to find out. Faith let out her little squeak of a growl, and a moment of uncertainity went through the Meowth's eyes. Heather felt like it was going to work, but then the Meowth again looked undaunted. It was like the growl had just bounced off of it. Suddenly a horrible screech escaped the Meowth's mouth. That was when Heather knew they were in trouble. Faith was shivering, and Heather had to cover her ears. She did not know that Pokemon's attacks could make a human squirm. The growl did the trick on Heather, she knew Faith was going to be dead no matter what Heather did. Before she could call off the attack Faith was charging towards Meowth, a look of determination in her eyes. This is when Heather looked down and covered her eyes shaking her head. Stupid, stupid, stupid. She had only had Faith for 1 day, and yet she was already in trouble up to her waist. To make matters worse she was digging the hole deeper and deeper. Heather looked up just in time to see the Meowth grab a hold of Faith and scratch her with Fury Swipes three times. On the third time Faith was vaulted into the air and Meowth got her. Faith came flying back down at Heather with her eyes closed. The Meowth had definitely fainted her Pokemon. Heather held out her hands to catch her loyal partner. Looking Faith over she knew that Faith needed to go somewhere to get healed, but where could Heather take her? The Meowth glared at Heather, and stomped into the bushes. Heather was so mad at that Meowth that she almost ran right after it. She had to find a way to get the Meowth back, but that might cause her to get in more trouble. She wished there was a rock close by just so she could throw it at the feline Pokemon. It had gotten a hold of her best friend. Not only that, but it had fainted Faith in two tries. Heather was so mad about maybe having to go back to the village to get healed that she almost thought about just forcing her way to the next town. She grabbed her Pokeball and tapped her little plant Pokemon with it. The light surrounded Faith and sucked her back into her little Pokeball environment. They both needed to rest. Heather needed to rest because she was about to go kick some Meowth Butt. Faith needed to rest so that she could be prepared for the next battle...whenever that would be. Going back to Hillmoss town would be so embarrassing. Heather started trying to think of a way to sneak back to her house un-noticed Heather knew there was a Springs in the center of the town that would be perfect for her and Faith. They had no towels, but at this moment it did not matter to her. Faith could easily die if the wounds were not healed. As much as Heather just wanted to sneak to the other town she knew she could not. There could be things in her way that would not be able to be moved by a human. She could run into an angry Pokemon and would not have a way to get out of the situation. Heather decided to walk back to her hometown, surely there was a way to get there without being noticed. She had the escape ropes, but they were just to get to the Pokemon Center. What was more if she wasted one now what would she do when she needed one later? Like in a cave or something. So Heather turned around, hooked Faiths Pokeball on her belt, and trying as hard as she could to avoid Pokemon decided to walk to Hillmoss Springs. "I've really done it now!" Heather said out loud, "I just hope Faith will be forgiving about it." Heather hung her head in shame at the fact that, as a new trainer, she had already let her Pokemon down. Not even on a real Pokemon battle. Just from trying to get a wild Pokemon to join her team. This trainer business was going to be hard work. Much harder then Heather had thought in the beginning. Oh, if only she could dream of the Dragonite again, it was so easy to catch it in her dreams. Headed toward Hillmoss Springs, Fainted Pokemon. |

.3 ![]() Defeated by a Meowth, ouch. A little kitty beat up a Chikorita. Not that that's overly difficult, but you know, it's going to be one of those mental scars that a trainer carries with them forever. Their first battle and it ended in a defeat; hopefully, Heather had learned a little bit from the battle that she could take back with her when she went to rest up her Pokémon in order to have it develop new skills later. Perhaps her luck in encountering wild Pokémon would be better. At least Faith the Chikorita was not going to hate her for the loss, right? Right. Once the little green Grass-type had been recalled, Heather could start dashing back for Little Hillmoss. It was rather fortunate, then, that nothing was there to interrupt her journey; no more wild Pokémon to rear their head out of the grass and assault the trainer. Maybe one day, after the little Chikorita was stronger, the dreams of the Dragonite in Heather's mind could become reality. But for now, they were sadly going to have to stay dreams. It was far too early at this stage to tame one of those mysterious, powerful beasts. For now, at least the reality of getting a little bit stronger with each and every day could easily shine true. With that, the scene of Little Hillmoss Town rose up in the distance, and the welcoming caress of its entrance arch brought the tired trainer back into its fold. ----- Reached: Little Hillmoss Town |

Heather and Faith were once again standing in the Hillmoss Grasslands. They had just been healed up at the Hot Springs in Little Hillmoss after Faith had gotten badly hurt by a Meowth who was seeking revenge. It looked so familiar to Heather now, and they hadn't even gone that far in it. There were tons of places they could go. Heather looked down at Faith and thought about suggesting Loch Neeru again, but Faith probably would not be in the mood for that. After all that was where they were headed before the Meowth got Faith. Heather was sure there had to be a couple other groups of Pokemon out there that they had yet to see. It still seemed so still as if there was no life out there, but Heather had learned otherwise. Heather went back to the sign in the middle of the field and looked to Faith who was staring around the grasslands in curiousity. "So, Faith, where should we go Loch Neeru or Rose town?" Faith looked at Heather with wide eyes. Was her owner really crazy enough to think that Faith would want to attempt going to loch neeru again. Faith pointed with her leaf towards Rose Town. "I figured that was where you wanted to go Faith." Heather said laughing at the little Pokemon's quick decision. Chika Chikaaa! Heather understood that Faith still wanted her to keep a watch out for Pokemon, and that Faith would do the same. Although the defeat of her first battle was still in Heather's mind, Faith had seemed to overcome it quickly. How many Pokemon Trainers don't lose a pokemon battle the first time they had one? "Okay, I will definitely watch for Pokemon, you do the same though. Since now I know they are more at your eye level." Faith nodded her head in agreement and followed Heather to the West. They were going towards Rose Town, and Faith was so thankful for that. Maybe some other time they could go to Loch Neeru and figure out what was so special about it. As of now they needed to watch for Pokemon and get a Pokemon center registered in Heather's Pokedex. That way if Faith got beaten again Heather would be teleported to the Pokemon Center and not have to worry about walking through thick grass to get back to a healing spot. Even though Heather had only been her owner for a little bit Faith still felt protective of her. She could not believe that Heather would have walked back to Little Hillmoss so quickly as to get her healed. Now Faith wanted Heather to be able to use her escape ropes so that Faith would not have to worry about her owner getting attacked by Pokemon when she was not around. Headed East to Rose town. 0.3 The thing about the Hillmoss Grasslands was that it teemed with Pokemon, most of a low level in order to accommodate the beginning trainers that came in droves from Little Hillmoss and took their first steps into the world. Everyone once in a while, however, there came along a fierce Pokemon that haunted the area and provided a shocking dose of reality to new trainers assuming that the world of Pokemon was all smiles and rainbows. The good thing, though, was that those type of Pokemon were few and far between in this area. The bad thing, of course, was the recent outbreak of Pokerus that had spread across Opaddeka like a bolt of lightning bolt. The Hillmoss Grasslands was infested with a variety of Pokemon, and as well all know, disease is a density-dependent factor. (OOC: Thank you, ecology class, for at least one piece of relevant knowledge!) Therefore, Pokerus had spread particularly well here, infecting a plethora of Pokemon. In response, these creatures had turned rabid and now attacks trainers without any fear of the repercussions. A particularly excited Electrode caught the virus from another Pokemon he regularly met with to play. The Pokerus had severely amped up his frenzied tendencies, transforming him into a dangerous, out-of-control energizer rabbit. Combine that with electricity, an element known for its wild and unpredictable characteristics, and it suddenly spelled trouble. Adding another mark to the list of troubling news, Heather and Faith were soon to cross the path of this spastic Electrike. The excited pup soared across the grass, twitching uncontrollably, as spurts of electricity exploded from its body and twisted into the air dangerously. Faith was able to spot the Electrike from far off rather easily, but she was unable to calculate how quickly the thing was moving. Within a matter of seconds, the two had collided, sending each flying off slightly before careening back down to earth. Slightly confused and befuddled, the electric pooch climbed to its paws. The Pokerus infecting its brain suddenly attacked in full force at that point, transforming this confused state into a a sudden onslaught of uncontrollable anger. Releasing a ferocious growl, the dog leaped forward, fur bristling as ripples of electricity sparked from its body. Uh-oh. ![]() Level 5 10/10 ![]() |

.3 Heather and Faith walked along quietly keeping an eye, and ear, out for any Pokemon they could find. They were both so excited about getting to a different place that they weren't talking much. Heather was scared to talk because she was afraid it would ruin their chances of finding Pokemon. Faith did not want to talk because she was afraid it would lead Pokemon to them resulting in another defeat. Plus, Faith sensed something strange about the Hillmoss grasslands that she hadn't picked up on before. It was full of energy, it was an energy that meant Pokemon were more likely to attack, and this worried Faith a little bit. Heather walked along happily watching for Pokemon oblivious to the sense of change in the air. It was just like a human not to notice the little signs of danger. Faith wished her owner could sense the energy she was, but she knew that at that moment her owner was too focused on getting to the next town to feel anything. It was kind of funny seeing as Heather was wanting to train Psychic and dragon Pokemon that she had no intuition of her own. Surely it would grow with time and experience. Suddenly Faith noticed a sign of movement in the grass. It was going way to fast for Faith to pick up on whether it was a Pokemon or wind. If it was a Pokemon it was a spazzing out Pokemon. Faith looked cautiously at the grass where the movement had been. Chikaaaa... Heather had noticed the movement too and was staring at the same piece of grass. Faith saying Uh-Oh made Heather realize she could not pick up on what it was either. That was when Heather felt a feeling of dread in her stomach. Whatever it was it was it was coming toward them. Heather watched the same piece of grass cautiously, but signaled Faith to come on anyway. Faith and Heather continued on, until an odd looking Pokemon came out of the grass. It was not so much that it was odd, it was the behavior that threw Faith and Heather off. It was jerking around, and every once in a while it's whole body would light up. Sending off a little bit of a beam. When the beam off of it's body hit something it burned. This was some very worrisome trouble. Before Heather could tell Faith to stop she had ran right into the Pokemon. Faith ended up hitting the Pokemon while she was walking, and it made both of them fall back in surprise. Heather was worried that Faith might have got hit by an electric, whatever it was, but she seemed unharmed. The Pokemon however was getting a look of rage on it's face. The already energized Pokemon looked more energized then before with that rage. They were in some major trouble. "Faith!" Heather said before anything could happen, "Make sure that when the electric jolts go through it's body you are steering clear of him." Chikaaa! Faith was determined. Her owner had given her the okay to battle this Pokemon. Faith again was sensing the strange energy, and it seemed worst then before with this Pokemon in front of her. She needed to be really careful, who knows how strong this energy was making this Pokemon. It was spazzing out right now, and that worried Faith. "Okay Faith here's your instructions, I want you to use Magical leaf on that Pokemon. If any of the jolts come toward you you need to watch out. With Magical leaf hopefully we won't have to worry about the Jolts hurting you since you don't have to touch that Pokemon to hit him. Good luck!" Faith looked at her owner. At last a chance to prove to Heather that she could battle. What Faith did not know was that Heather was also trying to prove to herself. The little Pokemon wanted to prove she was a good battle partner, and Heather wanted to prove to herself she was a good trainer. With the determination of both of them it was sure to make the team a success. ![]() Lv. 5 15/15 ![]() Sassy Nature Attacks being used Magical Leaf 20/20Trying to dodge any bolts that shoot from the Pokemon. .3 ![]() The Electrike hissed, lightning crackled from its bristling fur-- --and then glowing, sickle-shaped leaves hit him in the face, opening up a dozen shallow, papercut-like wounds. The canine yelped very much like a kicked puppy and hopped backwards, legs going stiff as it jerked about, bleeding from the face. The pup staggered for a brief moment, utterly bewildered at this feeling of pain--before the disease-ridden anger returned, multiplied by the injury. There was no hesitation this time--the static energy built up within the little beast, and arced for Faith once it reached a full charge. Unfortunately for both the trainer and the Chikorita's plans, the electricity in the nerve impulses moved at the same speed as the electricity the little green dog was emitting--and on the grass-type's side, those impulses had fast- and slow-twitch muscles to spur to action. This made actually dodging the electricity impossible--but the grass Pokemon's sudden movements did serve to make the twitchy, overzealous Electrike misjudge its direction, and the first bolt fizzled out into the dirt. With the discharge, however, the Electrike seemed to calm down a bit. The pup settled more solidly into his aggressive posture, and his eyes narrowed; the little trickles of blood from the leaf cuts gave him a rather savage appearance. This time, when the lightning crackled from his body, he aimed--properly. And this time Faith was not so lucky, though the electric surge didn't...hurt? The wave of negative ions was at a low frequency--precisely the right one to jam up the nervous system's own signals, gumming up the whole network and slowing Faith's movement to an intermittent crawl. It also prevented pain impulses from transmitting properly, hence why it didn't seem to hurt at all. She would definitely notice her body responding with all the quickness of wet clay, though. -- ![]() Lv. 5 15/15 ![]() Sassy Nature [Paralyzed] VS. ![]() Lv. 5 4/10 ![]() -Thunder Wave x2 |

.3 Heather watched the battle unfurl before her very eyes. The Electrike seemed very angry at poor Faith. Heather did not understand what the big deal was. It was not like Faith had ran into him on purpose. While thinking this she saw Faith Execute the first move, Magical Leaf. It hit beautifully leaving the dog like Pokemon stunned for a moment. Heather almost cheered out loud, but knew this was a battle and from the looks of it this Pokemon needed some serious medical care. As a trainer, serious times called for serious measures. She couldn't cheer Faith on because she felt so bad for this dog like Pokemon. That was until she noticed his rage begin to return after he threw off being stunned. He was so jerky, though, that the first attack he executed narrowly missed Faith. This was very good, or so Heather thought, until the next bolt of sizzling electricity from the jolting dog hit Faith squarely. Heather waited for the Pokemon's unnerving cry of pain. None came, although Faith looked a little stunned. The electricity had not hurt her, but the effect were paralysis. Heather did not realize this until she saw her little Pokemon struggling to move. Heather looked from Faith to the dog like Pokemon that had blood seeping from his face. The dog looked very savage and mean at that moment, and Heather was kind of worried. At the same time, though, she was more worried about Faith. What if that bolt that had hit her little Pokemon was going to cause Faith to go into spastics fits of energy. Heather did not want to think about it. She knew if it happened she would rush Faith to the nearest Pokemon center, that way she could get healed from whatever it was this dog had. Snapping out of her thoughts she saw Faith staring the dog down with fire in her eyes. The dog was glaring at Faith the same way, and Heather realized it was time to call the next attack. "Okay Faith, I'm going to try to catch this Pokemon. His behavior is kind of worrying me, and I think we might need to check him out. I heard some trainers talking about Pokerus at the Springs. I don't know what it is, but if this little guy has it we need to check him out so that if you get it we will be prepared." Faith looked at Heather quizzically for a moment. Heather really did care for all Pokemon. Faith knew that she was on the top of the list, but at the same time, it was nice to see her owner had respect for all the creatures. Even the ones that were spazzing out and angry over stupid things. Faith could not talk or say her okay due to paralysis, but Heather could tell by the look in Faiths eyes that she was ready. Heather grabbed one of the empty Pokeballs from around her waist and held her breath. She did not know if it would work or not, seeing as this Pokemon was totally spastic, but she was willing to give it a try. Besides Faith was paralyzed right now and if she executed another move might not be able to do it. Either that or Faith would end up hitting the little Pokemon and the electricity seeping out of it's body would hurt her worse then anything else. Thinking this Heather threw the Pokeball in the air. It went up and arched down, hitting the little Electrike. Now it was up to whether Faith had weakened it enough, or whether the rage was totally making the Electrike be unable to be caught. Either way, Heather was prepared for the outcome. "Here goes nothing!" Heather said out loud. She watched the Pokeball like a hawk. ![]() Lv. 5 15/15 ![]() Sassy Nature [paralyzed] Vs. ![]() Lv. 5 4/10 ![]() Used two Thunder waves on Faith. Still filled with rage Heather Threw 1 ![]() |

Gen.EXP; 0.3 ------------- The pokeball sailed through the air, gracefully reflecting the bounty of light from the sun off its red and white surface. Everything slowed down, the glaring light momentarily blinding the trainer and flashing over the chikorita's head. Pulse pounding, really. Then, time sped up again, the orb hitting its vertex and arcing into its fall. Those closest to the ball would hear it begin to crack open, releasing a hiss of air-tight technology readying to suck the poor dog into its confines. Hitting against the dog with a dull thump, the ball fell to the ground, thudding. Disappearing in a white light, the electrike was soon gone from sight. All seemed well until the red dot on the pokeball did not disappear immediately; in fact, it remained for a moment before the pokeball began to go in a frenzy. Electrike, so full of rage, rocked the pokeball so much that it moved from its place and began to roll towards the chikorita and trainer. Then a pause. Was it over? The pokeball rocked weakly, growing weaker until it stopped all together. Standing with intensity and drama, hesitant to approach were probably all feelings in the young trainer, because if too close if the pokemon would likely be all over the trainer in a mauling rage. However... how would the fight end up this time around? The ball wriggled slightly, but soon: --- Lv. 5 4/10 *PokeRUS*Spoiler: click to toggle
