This was it. The last leg of Alex's epic trans-continental voyage. Once he'd done this, he would have walked right across Opaddeka's largest continent. Of course, this part would be the most inhospitable area he'd come across. Even the ash flats outside Ashdell weren't this bad, what with the pollution and the smog and everything. Alex recalled Eevee, not wanting to subject her to the harsh environment for any longer than necessary. Guru, however, remained out. Well this place looks friendly. "Yup. Apparently it's full of poison-types. You'll be able to take on anything here." I've been promoted from Gardener to Bodyguard, then? Excellent. He'd at least try to speed through the area, to minimise the time spent outside. The Alakazam was out for added insurance, and to make any hostile encounters that much easier to manage. ~~~~~ Itemfinder's on. Route: Dry Wasteland 1 - Poison Plain 2 -> Y'orek |

.2 ![]() Technically not anything, but I'm not mean enough to do that to you guys again. Or am I? >.> But, still, after defeating trolls a few threads ago, hopefully no skunks will appear to mess up your day. Anyways! The place was indeed alive with poison types, since they were the few things that could even survive in this desolate place. In fact, there was a male Nidoran off to the side, munching on some... purple grass? It looked... like it might have been grass at some point or another. Either way, it was eating it, so it couldn't have been too bad to the poison type. -- ![]() Level 25 |

(0.2 )There's one. Sure enough, a Nidoran. A physical attacker, with obvious abilities to poison. Confusion a possible factor, and both of the species' abilities were interesting. If Alex hadn't intended to sic an Alakazam on it, it might have posed a decent threat. As it was, though, Guru was tasked with the formalities of battle. A quick telepathic conversation followed, just to finalise an intricate battle strategy. Brainrape it until it falls over? Pretty much, yeah. And as an afterthought, Keep it nonlethal, okay? Guru nodded. If Alex rough estimates were anywhere near accurate, the psychic was entirely capable of killing this critter. And that wouldn't do. He just wanted to train, not trophy hunt. ~~~~~ "Guru" Lv. 31 - 93/93 ![]() Ability: Synchronize - Psychic, 2 if necessary Vs. Lv. 25 - 75/75

.2 ![]() ...so to satisify my own curiosity, I put it in the calc? Yeah, wow. There's really nothing to be said here. 238 minimum damage kind of speaks for itself. Guru gains .8 for just twitching his brain. I mean, dang. Alex and Guru are free to move to the next landmark without any problems. Edited by Steel Cerberus, Sep 14 2009, 02:49 PM.

(0.1 . Guru levels to 32)"That'll do nicely." I see what you mean. It's like they've never encountered psychic energy before. "Well, with any luck, the locals won't want to mess with you after that." The pair walked onwards, the ground underfoot changing slightly so that they were now in a vast, polluted plain. With Guru keeping an eye out for trouble, Alex consulted his map, then headed in the general direction of Y'orek. Although finding the city should be quite easy - just follow the smog. ~~~~~ Itemfinder's on. Route: Poison Plain 2 -> Y'orek |

.2 ![]() Well, there were things that thought they could take Guru... but luckily for them, they were smart and didn't want to get brainraped by the Alakazam. 'cause, yeah, just about everything was a poison type. And they were letting all their friends know that there was some tall Trainer walking around with his Alakazam. So, following the smog, they got to the poisoned city without anything else stupid trying to attack them. Hooray? |
