In some ways, Yamaki could say that he enjoyed the change of scenery. He had seen the Grasslands all of his life (though mostly through his own window before his little adventure), so the Wildlands of Lorenzo were very different and very interesting. They were also very frightening. The grasses of Hillmoss were tall, but they reached up to your knees in the particularly gnarled areas. Here, however, that would be a luxury. The plants here in the Wildlands stretched up to his shoulders and up past his head Yamaki was tall, but he couldnt even really see over the grass and shrubs sometmes. Pokmon could hide anywhere here without them noticing which made an ambush all the more easier. The plants themselves were not exactly cordial either. The grass was often sharp-bladed and vicious, the shrubs harboring thousands of thorns and vines. It was tough going, by anyones means. The grass was tall here, but at least it wasnt tall as Yamaki was. If he had to estimate, hed say it was around four feet tall. Nothing to sneeze at, but he could see over it to places where it grew even taller. Koji fared much worse he was totally engulfed by the grass. He mainly stayed in Yamakis wake, so when the Trainer created a small path for him to travel, he could follow it easier. While part of their mission was to continue to Lorenzo so they could then figure out their next move, Yamaki also had another idea. He had, in the many Pokmon he studied, particularly liked the one Nidoking. And he thought he remembered that Nidorans were common around here or maybe the Farmlands; he couldnt quite remember so he was also on the lookout for any of those, or any trace of them. He wasnt particularly the best tracker, but it was best to be wary. 4-Foot Tall Grass 2, heading southwest towards Lorenzo. Also searching for Nidoran , if they are in this zone I forgot.

God. 0 :genexp ZERO Tall huh? Tall. Really? Everything was tall. Grass is tall. Yamaki is tall . What kind of grass was it? Tall! Right! TALL! Yamakinmewannapuke. WTF is this mess? I was so annoyed reading your post I felt ill. Oh and good luck looking for Nidoran around here. How exactly are you looking out for those? You're right in saying this "character" isn't a good tracker if his entire tracking method comes down to "oh I hope there's the kind of pokemon I want around here, and that I inexplicably run into one because the world can hear my thoughts and will rain down pokemon on my head". Could you put some effort into this besides a couple of throwaway lines at the end of the "post"? Besides, the grass around here is so TALL and nidoran are so UNTALL, you probably won't see em if they ARE around because of all the freakin TALL things in the way. Ya know what? Yamaki, or L, as I'll call him now, y'know, short for TALL, is the boringest character ever. So I'll do you a favour, and believe me this is a TALL order, and make him more interesting. And I totally can do this, and you totally have to play along, because I'm an Admin. What happens? Well hidden in the TALL grass was a scyther. Not a TALL one, otherwise your unbelievably TALL guy would see him. Lets say this is a very strong scyther, abandoned by its trainers years ago and left to fend for itself in these wild lands of horrendous TALLness. Seeing a human, those tall, gangly creatures with their lofty heads and long- TALL legs... well this should teach em. The bug, mad and vicious, lunged at the man, too fast for his pathetic human reflexes to react. It was a clean cut. Clean in the sense that his scythe cut through the flesh, through the bone in one smooth motion. Butter, meet Hot Knife. No doubt for a few moments there was blissful unawareness on L's part. Then that calm and collect facade imploded, the complete wrongness of what just happened to his body rocking his senses. Blood poured out of the stump that was once connected to his right leg. Without a leg to stand on he fell. He almost died. The scyther, pointed face in an eternal grin, stood over the human looking satisfied, then vanished into the TALL fuckin grass like a wisp. Have fun. Signature this! - Guy APL 33 Proffle here! |![]() L|E|N|B|T - April fools. Oh god. I hope that worked. And if you did actually fall for it, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to be so mean, but your work is pretty good so all i could think of was to put inexplicable meanness into the joke. Please don't be offended. I lied. It's all lies up there! I don't really think that about you! Your writing is good! Good vocab! GOD! I NEED YOU IN ME!!! But yeah, April Fools matey. Hope it had you going for at least a little bit. Unless you're altogether too clever for me. Then screw you smart guy! What really happened was, you reached your next landmark without trouble. The tall grass was annoying but nothing jumped out to chop your leg off. No random pokemon encounters either coz I don't like those. Ah what the heck. Lets say you see a venonat, male, level 9, stuck between some giant blades of thorny grass. But it aint trapped, really, it's just sleeping. Fur stuck to the tiny hooks on of the plants like convenient velcro. You may choose to wake it and have some fun, or move on to your next destination. Mmm bop. btw i don't think there are nidos here. Shhh. Oh and 0.2 gen exp forya, not zero. Edited by KJ Edge, Apr 1 2009, 02:49 AM.

0.4 for the effort of doing that to people. :P Yeah, I fell for it for about half a paragraph, but Id already been pranked several times today, so I caught on. It was a very good, though, KJ it stung a little bit even when I knew it was a prank! Happy April Fools. (:And so they continued, feeling somewhat self-conscious for some reason. As if someone somewhere was making fun of them critiquing them and perhaps the person that helped create and document their adventures and ruthlessly at that! But certainly that feeling passed. What an idiotic one it was! And, seeing as tough there were really no landmarks between the 4-feet tall grass 2 and Lorenzo Town, and Lorenzo was their destination, they arrived there. Not they could go sight-seeing, w00t! With a hop, skip, and a jump, Yamaki and Koji flitted into the town. And yet again, I dont need any genEXP for this because Im not really thinking coherently when writing it. Entered Lorenzo Town. |
