Tapping the touch screen on his Poketech, Prosper brought up the info on the Old Hunting Foxholes, reading over the few sentences on how Pokemon hunters of years past used the hiding places as vantage points to spy on their potential captures. They were invisible for the most part, so it would probably be wise to stay on foot and watch around where he was going before heading on. Darn... he had been hoping to try out his new jeep straight out from the OME showroom. It would have to wait until later, he supposed. Clicking the back button a few times, he pulled up a screen of Pokemon that had been spotted around the Moorfeldt Grasslands and noticed that a Growlithe or two had been known to frequent the place every once in awhile. Having mulled over a list of Pokemon he would like to capture and raise one day, Prosper realized a Growlithe was among them, so now would probably be as good a time as any. It might take a bit longer then he preferred, but it wasn't as if he had anything more pressing to do. If he were a dog, where would he hide? If Pokemon had stumbled upon any of the holes, they might decide to take them for their own as potential dens or just makeshift hiding places from the trainers scouting the area. It might be a good place to start. He took a few tentative steps over the grass, eyes flickering across the fields in search for the foxholes that were sure to be dotting the land. Upon finding any, he would take a quick duck or look in, searching for any Pokemon that might be there. .2 Wandering around the grasslands, peering into holes. Sounds exciting. Well...not really. But who knows what might be down one. One presumes that foxes made the foxholes so...well. However, the first few yeilded a whole not of nothing, and didn't look overly promising on the whole. Falling in, crumbling, dusty, empy and long abandoned seemed to be the name of the game... "Chii!!" However, the fifth foxhole that you managed to find wasn't dusty or crumbling in...nor was it abandoned. A pair of sharp buck teeth flashed as you as you peered into it, and an angry chattering and squeaking letyoyu know that the owner of this particular hole wasn't exactly fond of the intrusion of their privacy. "Chiii! Chii!" Two white and blue furballs burst out of the hole, cussing you out in every way imaginable. Even some that were anatomically impossible, one would suspect....whups. Looks like you interrupted something. And what is it with all these squirrels you keep running into? Is it a conspiracy? ~~~~~~~~~~ Lv. 25and Lv. 25Cussing you out because you interrupted them. 0.2 Yes. Yes it is. Prosper yelped, stumbling backwards at the sudden reaction he received from the inhabitants of one of the many holes he had been investigating. That white fur, and those damn blue spikes... it was impossible. Then, that's what he had said the last time this had happened. Were the gods sitting up there and just laughing at him? What was this? These Pachrisu had it in for him. Surely, there was something going on here besides a few coincidences. Deciding not to stick around and ponder, Prosper muttered a muted apology and quickly darted off, praying that the two mating Pokemon would carry on with their previous activities instead of seeking revenge on him. Because if anyone knew what an angry Pachirisu or two with an agenda is like... it was Prosper. Abandoning the holes idea, Prosper continued towards his destination, keeping eyes and ears open for a stray Growlithe that might wonder his path. Perhaps Kyubi would have been able to sniff one out, being both a tracker and a fire-type herself, but as luck would have it, she was the one he had left behind in the PC. Did fate honestly have it in for him? Maybe. Traveling: Old Hunting Foxholes --> Shrublands 1 (Rocky Ruinlands) Egg: 20/52 Looking For: Growlithe Edited by Fantasy Shadow, Feb 18 2009, 06:36 PM.

.3 The squirrels insults trailed off behind you, as they followed a short ways, still cussing up a storm in their rodent language, though as you traveled on still, they eventually gave it up and went back to their fun. After all, you had apologized at least. And so on you went, searching the area for anything that might lead to finding that which you sought, and after a time, you crossed a game trail, which wouldn't normally be all that interesting, other than the fact that there were a few pawprints in the mud... Hmm. Yeah, those look like dog tracks...it's possible that your quarry used such a trail from time to time... Only downside is that the trail runs perpindicular to your intended route, so it would possibly be quite the detour to go and try tracking along this trail. But, those are definitely dog prints... ~~~~~~~~ Found: Game trail with doggy pawprints! |

0.2 Glancing back every few steps just in case the Pachirisu had decided to give chase, Prosper heaved a sigh of relief as the angry twittering began to die away and, he hoped, they had gone back into the hole and returned to their "unfinished business." Finally, he had managed to catch a break. A squirrel from hell, a traitorous baby squirrel, a pair of frisky squirrels... things hadn't exactly gone his way lately. Noticing a clear-cut trail that winded horizontally across the path he was walking along, Prosper glanced across it, noticing paw prints that started there and went off in the opposite direction. Even if they weren't fresh prints, it did mean that some sort of canine-like Pokemon had been here recently enough for them to not be washed away by rain. Which almost meant that the owner of the prints could possible still be around. Suddenly invigorated, Prosper set off down the trail, swiping Leaf's Poke Ball off his belt and dropping it by his side. The Meganium let out a drawn cross between a squeal and a roar, glad to be free of his internment in the PC. Prosper smiled at the sight of his first Pokemon, patting his side but then quickly getting to the point. "I'm glad to see you too, buddy. We've got some work to do, though. Come with me, and release some of that sweet scent in your flowers... let's see if we can't draw a dog or two out." Leaf cocked his head, having not heard Prosper sound so determined in awhile. But he nodded in agreement, trotting alongside the youth as he gave the flowers at the base of his neck a tiny shake, waiting for the pleasing spores that began to filter out, circulating into the air and fanning out through the surrounding area via the gentle breeze that crossed the grasslands. It was an alluring trap, to say the least... even he felt a bit lightheaded as his nose perked up at the flowery scent. ![]() Level 32 64/64 ![]() [Sweet Scent] Traveling: Old Hunting Foxholes (Specifically, a paw-covered game trail) --> ??? .3 Pretty good plan. The delicious aroma wafted across the plain, filling the air with a heady aroma. Since this path was traveled by some sort of dog...it was inevitable that something of the sort would be attracted, right? So, the pair of you walked along, aquiring quite the troupe of followers. All you were missing at this point was the flute, what with the rattatas, pachirisu, and so forth scampering about and beginning to trail after. Still. This was a game trail for a reason, and as the pair of you continued on, followed by the merry troupe of rodents... "Grow?" "Grow-wow!" "Growf, wowf..." "Grow grow!" Um...it looks like you were a little...TOO effective? 0.2 Prosper wasn't quite sure how effective the aroma would be until he glanced back, noticing the pack of woodland creatures that trailed after them, enticed by the scent wafting over them. Leaf was surprised too, but soon put on a smug smile, nudging Prosper and showing him how many Pokemon he had managed to attract all by simply smelling pleasant. Prosper rolled his eyes, giving the Meganium another pat before taking a few more glances around. "Don't see any dogs around here, though. Still so confident?" He threw the grass Pokemon a sly smile. Leaf deflated a bit, apparently only then having noticed that mostly Rattata and Pachirisu had so far come along to follow them. He barely had to wait a minute, however, before the curious barks rang out and several red shapes appeared, Growlithe having been brought in by the enticing scent as well. Leaf nodded approvingly, eying Prosper with the same, knowing look he had just been given. The young trainer let out a mock huff, then whispered a quick "thanks" before taking a few steps towards the approaching dogs. "Hey, you guys! Quite a whiff, huh? You know, this guy is with me all the time. If there's a chance any of you would like to come along, I'm sure he'd be happy to let you smell it anytime." .3 The growlithes moved a little closer, drooling eagerly, then paused, blinking as Prosper made his offer, exchanging funny looks? Travel with it? They wanted to eat it...nummy... The lader eyed this trainer warily, however. This was more than just as simple as his pack thought it would be. This wouldn't be the only pokemon this human had, or he wouldn't be here...which would surely be more trouble than it was worth. But he had made an offer...without just sending out the rest of his minions to maul the whole pack. Just attacking would end in loss, pain and possibly worse. So...there had to be another way to handle this equitably. With a huff after a moment, the pup marched to the fore and led out a challinging bark, marching onto the trail and eyeing Prosper with a challenging gleam in his eye. He barked again, pawing at the ground and baring his teeth, snapping at air, then slicking his ears back and lowering his tail a moment before nodding to the rest of his pack. It seems he's offering a challenge. Fight him and win, and you could have one of his packmates. ~~~~~~~~~~ ![]() Level 29 ~ Challenging you to a duel! |

0.2 Prosper smiled, glad that the fire pups hadn't automatically rejected his offer. From the way the Growlithe stood, it appeared he wanted a fight. Well, they would be happy to oblige. Leaf glanced at Prosper nervously, hoping that the trainer didn't actually expect him to go up against a fire type, even with the experience difference. Prosper shook his head, selecting Watt's Pokeball from his belt and spinning it forward. She hadn't had a battle in quite awhile. "You're on!" The Ampharos waddled out, yelping at the hostile Growlithe staring her down and growling. She made a beeline back to Prosper, but he quickly explained that it was merely a duel of sorts. Appearing apprehensive, she nodded slowly, taking a few tentative steps back towards the dog, waiting to see what he would do. A pack of Growlithe stood behind him, entranced with the smell but still cheering him on. "You can do it. Shock him, then blast. Watch out for those teeth!" As if she needed a reminder. Watt moved a bit closer, beginning to summon the electricity as it crackled around him. The first jolt would be a weak one, simply designed to search out the body's nerves and shut them down. Immediately following would be the blast, a burst of electricity that simply rocketed in every direction, not searching for a target but merely blowing up everything in its path. ![]() Level 32 128/128 (Right?)[Thunder Wave] [Discharge] VS ![]() Level 29 87/87

.3 Growlithe tried to intermidate your electric pokemon as she came out and that did work as she backed up a little. A dog leader such as himself would always wait for his opponent to start off first as he was already king of the tribe, the best of the best even more better than a lousy whatever-Watt-was. It barked at her like crazy once he saw a crackle of electricity coming out of her. It kept on barking, mocking her as an ignoramus and weak and all sorts. Suddenly, he felt the elctricty be released on him. He felt kind of weak and tried to bark but his mouth simply refused. What was going on? This was wizardry wasn't it? A messed up growl came out of his mouth just scaring some of the jeepers out of her. Determined to beat this dog, she prepared another electric attack, electricty surging everywhere and then that sound came lowering her attack her little. The elctricty was not that insane as last time but it was still crazy. And suddenly, bang! The dog was whipped by the yellow bolts weakening him greatly. Another growlithe tried to help his boss but he shook his head as this was just himself and that wizard with the crazy bolts. ![]() Actually it looks like this to me but I'm not sure. 128/128 Attack: -2 Normal Versus ![]() 68/87 Attack: Normal Paralyzed *Will prepare to try and fight you back!* Edited by gokipon361, Feb 28 2009, 07:05 PM.

0.2 Watt unconsciously shrunk away as the opposing Growlithe leaped into the battle. Something about the way he stared at her, the subtle features of his face created an unnatural fear deep down. Not that he was scary in the least, but it was as if some supernatural force radiated out from the pooch. Intimidate can be a powerful thing. She was slightly surprised after her barrage of attacks that the pack leader hadn't even bothered to retaliate. Was he simply sizing her up or something? At this rate, it wouldn't be long before she blew him out of the water. She hated to get overconfident, but being paralyzed and all, the Growlithe didn't seem to stand much of a chance. Then again, perhaps he was hiding something. It would be just like a group leader to come back with a secret weapon. "Just keep it up, Watt!" Prosper encouraged, smiling at the Ampharos. Glancing back, she nodded, her tail thrashing back and forth as the orb on the tip began to glow. The battle wasn't over, and she was sure that the Growlithe wasn't already ready to give up. No, he would just be getting started. She bounced forward, bringing her arms up towards the sky as the ground around her began to shift. A large chunk of earth broke free and rose up a few feet. Pushing forward, she launched the rock forward, running after it as her right arm began to crackle with electricity. Upon catching up, she would launch her Thunderpunch directly into the face of the rock, hopefully shattering it into smaller chunks that would soar forward, hammering the Growlithe and perhaps zapping it a bit in the process. ![]() Level 32 128/128 ![]() =Attack -2= [Power Gem] [Thunderpunch] VS ![]() Level 29 68/87 ![]() =Paralyzed= ~Preparing to fight? .2 ![]() The paralysis wracked the pack leader's body, making its responses sluggish; with every fiber of his being he wanted to move out of the way of the rock that the Ampharos was conjuring forth and the fist behind it that crackled with the same energy that cursed him with this slow response. As Watt's paw closed in with the stone, shattering it into a thousand lightning crackling pieces, the Growlithe howled loudly as he was showered with the shock that had been imbued unto the shards. Pain coursed through his veins, and he slumped to the ground. However, that only served to drive him more. Shaking his head and summoning forth his will to beat the paralysis within his core, the Growlithe leapt at Watt with fangs bared, biting down as he Crunched upon the golden fur that covered the beast. The teeth bit through the surface of his leg, causing Watt to stumble just that little bit to make it a more vulnerable target later on for another attack... or for an attack then and there when the pack leader decided to level the playing field. Both of his front paws glowed with a white light as he reared back to deliver a fateful double-paw blow to the Ampharos' chest, pushing as hard as he could to reverse the damages done to him in order to hurt the Ampharos as badly as he had been hurt himself. Every ounce of pain running through him was returned with a furious vengeance, striking as hard as he could in a vicious assault. That assault was enough to make the Ampharos reel; had he have been human, chances were a blow like that would have caused him to vomit on the spot. All the anger, all the hurt, rebounding back onto Watt. It was a crippling blow. It was very evident that he had been hiding his secret weapon, after all. 0.3 Watt frowned at the obvious pain that rippled through Growlithe; that was her least favorite part of battling. It was fun at times, but became a bit too serious when she noticed what pain that Pokemon could go through. Perhaps, afterward, she would try to show the Growlithe that she hadn't meant to hurt him too badly. Yes, that sounded great; no one could ever resist a game or two. How much fun would that be! A bit too engrossed in her plans for the game and having assumed the match was pretty much over, she barely had time to react when the Growlithe suddenly caught a second wind, bursting forward and sinking into her with those dreaded fangs. She wailed as the stinging pain fleshed out through her leg. Falling back, she looked towards the Growlithe as his two shining paws reared up and pounded into her stomach. With the breath knocked out of her, she tumbled to the ground, gasping for breath as unbearable pain blurred her vision. She felt as if her body were on fire; this was unreal. Prosper took a sharp intake of breath, disbelieving of what he had just seen. That Growlithe had been on the ground, practically defeated; where had that sudden burst of energy come from? Talk about an iron will. He guessed that the pride of the pack leader simply wouldn't allow him to go down like that. It certainly made sense; what would his mates say if he had lost without even laying a paw on his opponent? What humiliation. "Watt, if it hurts too much, just stay down. If you're up to it, I want you to show that Growlithe what you're made of... don't let him show you up like that. I believe in you." The Ampharos lay on the ground, still, as the pain ran its course and slowly began to lessen. Everything still throbbed, but it was at least somewhat bearable. If she didn't do something quick that Growlithe was simply going to finish her off without another thought about it. Suddenly, her earlier concern for him vanished; now, it was time for her payback. It was a strange sensation, this vengeance; something completely foreign to her. But now that it burned in her blood so hotly, it seemed right. Climbing up, slowly but surely, a determination fueled Watt. Every muscle in her body screamed in protest, but she ignored it. This was personal. She had just been about to make nice with that dog, then he went and completely turned the tables on her. Ruining her fun, that was something she could never forgive. Gathering what little energy hadn't deserted her, she charged up her electricity and prepared to let the wild element run its course as it may, ruling out strategy at this last juncture. Now, she simply would let everything she had; if, when the smoke cleared, it wasn't enough, well, that would be all she wrote. But, just as the Growlithe felt seconds before, she wouldn't be going down without a fight. Having gathered all she had, she simply exploded; every ounce of power left spread out in all directions, seeking to destroy. ![]() Level 32 28/128 ![]() =Attack -2, Defense -1= [Charge] [Discharge] VS ![]() Level 29 19/87 ![]() =Paralyzed= |

.3 ![]() So, the Ampharos too was strong enough to come back after its own major injury. That spoke volumes about the tenacity of the trainer and his team to the pack leader; perhaps they were worthy of taking one of his pack with them on their journey. They had proven themselves strong, and the reassuring words of the girl trainer washed over the ears of both Pokémon present, to have their different effects. While the Ampharos found it suitable to get back on its feet and continue fighting with a fire in its soul, the Growlithe nodded assent and understood that this trainer was decidedly worthy. Watt charging up in front of the Growlithe's eyes was a sight to behold, preparing its lightning strike for the finale of this fight. A guttural roar charged up from the belly of the canine, summoning the very last of its strength as the lightning began to build up around the two combatants. Sparks were flying already, and the Growlithe knew that it was the end - but whether it was the end for one or both of them remained to be seen. Fighting off the paralysis in his body one last time, the leader began its dash towards the Ampharos once more, paws pounding against the grass below it in a rhythmic pattern that belied the natural speed of the pup - even then sprinting faster and faster as it summoned its agility to come into play, dashing in towards Watt as its maw opened to reveal the row of pointed teeth designed to tear meat apart, preparing to make one final chomp down upon that fluffy surface. He latched on once more, biting down... ...before electrical energy faced a gigantic discharge, blowing the Growlithe away with amazing force. Lightning crackled through the ground and the air alike, pulsating outwards from Watt with the power of a thunderstorm. The three other Growlithes attending the fight looked away as the bright sparks almost gave them temporary flash-blindness; none would be able to look at the discharge without getting at the very least spots in their vision. The sheer power and terror that a charge then discharge could unleash was mighty indeed, and Watt proved that she was no exception to this. The Growlithe skidded to a halt some distance away, completely unconscious by the whole ordeal. When the air was clear, only Watt was standing - barely. That bite had hurt her so, and she was mere seconds from falling over and collapsing from injury himself. She would need medical attention, and quickly, lest she too fall into darkness. Two of the Growlithes took to dragging their pack leader off to find some recuperation for him, somewhere safe and away from the trainer. However, the last of the pups slowly approached Prosper. She had been the most intrigued by the scent that the Meganium had given off, and she would likely be the one to go with Prosper out of interest. She had certainly loved the battle, and dreamed of one day growing up big and strong like Watt. She sniffed around the trainer's feet, then looked up at her expectantly. ----- Lv. 32 ![]() 1/128 ![]() vs Lv. 29 ![]() 0/87 ![]() - Knocked Out Lv. 22 - Sniffing around Prosper Lv. 22 x2- Dragging their leader off |

0.3 =========== Prosper quirked an eyebrow, noticing the sheer willpower that radiated from Watt as she climbed up for the final confrontation, the electricity in her body beginning to build up. This wasn't like her; normally, she probably would have simply let her opponent take the win. But, he reasoned, having to endure such pain in one solitary attack would do that to anyone. Moments later, the blows were exchanged. Against all odds, the ferocious Growlithe overcame his body's limitations and barreled into her, grabbing on with everything he could muster. Watt, however, would not be denied. Despite the fresh wave of pain that washed over her from the bite, there wasn't anywhere else for that wild energy to go. Prosper threw an arm in front of his face, shielding his eyes from the blinding flashes. Such power; he had never imagined that little Watt could be capable of something like that. As it died down, he cautiously glanced up and around, taking in the new scene. Watt had taken a knee, heaving with great effort after the exchange. Being attacked right then, coupled with the release of such an attack, had completely crippled her. It hadn't been in vain, at least; opposite her, the Growlithe lay completely unconscious. The thought didn't give her much satisfaction. Jogging over, Prosper stopped by Watt, laying a hand on her back and smiling. He couldn't have been prouder. She had given everything she had in the fight, and he couldn't have asked for more. She certainly needed a well-deserved rest. Whispering a few words of praise, he recalled her back into the ball, tucking it away on his belt. Now, she needed a rush to the Center. Resting in the Pokeball was nice, but it was no substitute for actual healing. Interested now to see what would happen with the Growlithe pack, Prosper glanced over at them to see the downed leader being taken away to rest. One of the remaining, however, cautiously approached him with an intrigued look. Was she the one planning to come along with him? While he might have hoped somewhat that the leader himself would come, it was kinda stupid; the rest of the pack still needed him. Having one of the younger dogs would be a lot more fun, he decided. Scooping out an extra Pokeball from his belt, Prosper knelt on the ground, setting it down a few feet away from the Growlithe. "Hey there, girl. If you really want to come, we would love to have you along." Leaf trotted over next to Prosper, nodding in encouragement. ![]() Level 22 Egg: 29/52 Edited by Fantasy Shadow, Mar 1 2009, 10:43 AM.

It was all a grand new adventure to go on for the inquisitive youngling, and for that she would spend much time learning and sniffing out all kinds of new things. It was going to be extreme amounts of fun if she could have it. First, however, she had to sniff out the things in front of her. Like the big scent coming from the big walking flower thingy, to which she now understood, staring up at the Meganium interestedly. One sniff, two sniffs; it was still giving off an alluring smell! The flower thingy was definitely the source of the smell before, and the Growlithe wondered if she was going to experience more strange and new scents later on. And the little round thing on the ground, too! It was a thingy the trainer had used to suck up the big yellow thing. Was it a cage? There was only one way to find out. The Growlithe's muzzle nudged the button on the front of the ball, which immediately cracked open and summoned the Growlithe into its depths. What transpired inside the ball from that point? Humans were never meant to know. It was not a place for them. However, suffice to say that the Growlithe was now firmly within its secure transport module, and now a full member of Prosper's team. It seemed the happy sort, definitely. ----- Obtained one Growlithe! Lv. 2266/66 ![]() x0

0.2 Crap post ahoy. =========== Prosper smiled, halfway tempted to grab up the ball and thrown his arm towards the sky in a heroic pose of success. But that would be the lame. He settled for simply muttering "Yes!" to himself and reaching for the Pokeball. But just as his hand closed around the metal sphere, it was engulfed in an unnatural light and suddenly vanished from his grip. He panicked momentarily, but then remembered that it had simply been transported to the PC; it would be there waiting for him when he arrived in Chryzanthum. Phew. Nudging Prosper and braying happily, Leaf motioned back towards the hunting trail, suggesting that they get to the city before something really bad happened to Watt. Prosper wondered what the rush was when he suddenly remembered what a critical condition Watt was in. He freaked, standing up quickly and grabbing his bag that had fallen to the grass. And without further ado, he took off running back down the trail while Leaf trailed behind. w00t. Egg: 31/52 Traveling: Hunting Trail (Old Hunting Foxholes) --> Shrublands 1 (Rocky Ruinlands) |

.2 ![]() Of course, there was one slight thing Prosper had forgotten in his mad rush to get back to Cryzanthum to heal his ally who had done so well in the battle that had just transpired. The area that he was in used to be an old hunting ground for the peoples of Moorfeldt, the town in which hunting Pokémon had once been a profession and a way of life. Nor, for some reason, had he remembered that he was in an area that most people seemed to refer to as 'the old hunting foxholes'. They were named that for a reason. In fact, Prosper had seemed to forget this enough that he ran right into one. This hole in particular was about four feet deep. Most foxholes were shorter than a human was to get out relatively easily, as they could also be used as wartime fortifications. However, they were larger than Pokémon, which was perfect for keeping trapped prey in and the humans above them where they could not be attacked - lucky that Leaf hadn't fallen in, too. In his mad rush to get to town, Prosper had been running relatively fast. To run and then not have ground underneath you meant but one thing: you fell. Hard. Hard enough to, say, break your ankle under your own bodyweight and the solidarity of the ground rising up to meet you as gravity mocked you for being unable to resist its crushing forces. That was certainly going to be a problem. Now that he had broken his leg, it was going to be hard to get the necessary balance to get out of the hole. Not to mention the pain, of course; now he was in a situation possibly worse than Watt's own, with that kind of bodily damage. At least the Ampharos had the chance to rest ina dimensional pocket. Prosper had the unfortunate luck of being trapped in a hole while pain screamed at him and life laughed at him. Karma was occasionally a hitch for hurting things. Now how the heck was he going to get out of that hole? ----- Reached Obstacle: Large Hole |

0.3 It's quite a sensation to suddenly feel solid ground no longer beneath you. Like in the cartoons Prosper had watched as a kid, he suddenly felt air beneath him. He didn't pause and look down like the characters did, but it was long enough for him to suddenly panic before he dropped like a rock, landing hard on his ankle. The force of the slam caused his eyes to water and he screamed out involuntarily as the rush of pain engulfed him. His leg was on fire. Leaf darted to the edge of the hole, careful to make sure he didn't tumble in as well and completely crush Prosper under his weight. The Meganium whined out, staring at his trainer with a deep concern. He looked to be in a terrible pain... plus, he was in a freakin' hole. That wasn't good. There was no way he'd be able to get down there and back up with the young trainer in tow. Sitting there for a few minutes in complete agony, Prosper began to wonder what his options were as the pain dulled to a deep throb. He wasn't sure what, but he had broken something. He wasn't going to be getting himself out of the hole anytime soon. Leaf was helpless, unable to do much else besides stare at him down. None of his other Pokemon would be capable, except, perhaps... Ryuu. The Scizor was his only hope. Grabbing Ryuu's ball, Prosper towards the other side of the hole, trying his best not to whimper in pain. The steel fighter appeared, glancing around and wondering why he was in a hole. He then spotted Prosper and noticed the awkward position the boy had managed to get himself in. Yeah, something was wrong alright. And it looked as if it was up to him to help. Woo. "Ryuu, please... get me out of here. I broke something, and I can't move at all." The words came slow and in a low, pained voice. Ryuu was sympathetic; from the way Prosper spoke, it was obvious he really was in a great deal of pain. He stepped over, lowering his pincers until they gently scooped under Prosper's side. Then, carefully, he lifted the boy until he rested in his own powerful arms. Now came the hard part: trying to get out with all the extra weight. His wings clicked out, and immediately began to vibrate as his feet hovered off the ground. Then, giving it all he had, he lifted up, struggling against gravity as he attempted to rise up. ![]() Level 31 ~Trying to fly out of the hole with Prosper Egg: 32/52 Edited by Fantasy Shadow, Mar 1 2009, 08:21 PM.

.3 ![]() A Scizor was a powerfully-strong Pokémon. Naturally, the steely talons it used, coupled with the fact its cutting power was second to none, would be able to procure poor Prosper from the precarious predicament he found himself on the precipice of. Despite the pain, he could certainly endure being able to be flown out of a hole in the ground. His careless recklessness would need to be curbed if he wanted to get back to town, and get himself and his Pokémon checked up in order to resume their journey. However, that presented yet another problem. The fact that Prosper could no longer walk on one leg meant that he... well, he couldn't walk. How was he supposed to make the trip to Cryzanthum in the condition he was in? Without being able to walk, he wouldn't be going anywhere in a hurry, and the Scizor's wings would tire out before it carried Prosper all the way to anywhere as far as Cryzanthum. Certainly, this meant that it was going to be a very long trip. Perhaps it was fortunate that no Pokémon were coming to Prosper and his team at this point, because any incursion now would have left him particularly vulnerable, and feeling the immense pain he was surely under, he wouldn't have been able to think straight to fight a protracted battle against any enemy. While his Pokémon would have been able to follow orders, he was short one with the condition Watt was in, and the rest would be following half-given orders. He needed medical attention soon, before he passed out from the pain or something. Prosper didn't quite seem like the super-resilient type, anyhow. How was he going to solve this problem, still being in mid-air in Ryuu's clutches? ----- Still Facing Obstacle: Large Hole |

0.3 So... did they get out of the hole or not? From your post, it sounded like they did, but the bottom says large hole obstacle. Maybe I'm an idiot or something, but, heh, I'm a bit confused. If I'm doing something I shouldn't, just let me know and I'll fix. ============= By this point, Prosper had already become a bit dazed, with the pain clouding his mind and impairing his senses. Everything sort of blurred as Ryuu lifted him up and out, cautiously touching down on the ground, careful not to bump the broken ankle. That would have sent Prosper into a fit of yells. Leaf rushed over, looking over Prosper with worry etched all across his face. Nothing like this had ever happened to his trainer before. What were they going to do without him to help? "We have to do this on our own, Leaf! Prosper's in trouble. We need to get to the city," Ryuu ordered, suddenly taking charge. Leaf glanced up at him, frowning. "Are you sure about this? But without Prosper..." The helplessness that the Meganium felt was evident. Ryuu quickly nodded his head, moving closer to Leaf until he stood next to him. Gently raising his arms until he set Prosper on Leaf's back and holding him steady with one arm to make sure he didn't fall. "How do we keep him up? There's no way he'll sit there while I move." Ryuu looked thoughtful for a moment until the lightbulb in his head suddenly lit up. He selected a Pokeball from Prosper's belt, scooping it off with his claw and tossing it to the ground. Xyla appeared, having listened to the conversation via her mental powers and readied herself to help. Leave it to me, Xyla spoke into their minds as she focused, summoning her psychic power and beginning to layer it around Prosper. A faint purple aura shimmered around him as it rooted him to the perch, steadying him. Ryuu tentatively released his arm, making sure that Prosper could sit unattended. Satisfied, he glanced ahead along the route. "We were heading North," Leaf chimed in, glancing towards the horizon that led into the Ruinlands not too far ahead. Somewhere beyond there had to be a city. They needed to get there quickly before both Prosper and Watt became too far gone for repair. The small group began walking. They couldn't have looked any stranger... a practically unconscious trainer resting dazed upon a Meganium being held steady by a Xatu while a Scizor took the lead. Hopefully, there wouldn't be any odd passerby. Egg: 32/52 Traveling: Old Hunting Foxholes --> Shrublands 1 (Rocky Ruinlands) Edited by Fantasy Shadow, Mar 1 2009, 10:06 PM.

.3 . And no, you're doin' it rite.Fortunate it was that Ryuu was so capable of taking command of the situation, and that his mental faculties were operating fully; his plan worked. While Prosper was being held to the Meganium and the Natu kept him upright so as to prevent him falling, Prosper would not encounter too much trouble. While the progress was slower than what it would've been had the trainer not been injured, it was good enough. This time, they were certainly intelligent enough to avoid any of the fox-holes left on the ground to keep any of them from falling once again, though all of the Pokémon had methods to escape. The pathway to the north, and their destination of Cryzanthum, was worn enough that they would be able to get there in good time and be able to follow it north. It even extended into the Ruinlands, luckily for them. That did mean that anything they came across would be a threat. If Leaf so much as moved the wrong way or Xyla's focus slipped for even a second, then prosper would go through so much unnecessary agony. However, it was suffice to say that there was no such incursion on the part of wild Pokémon or trainers, and that, for this section of their travels, there would be nothing to stop them. As such, they were able to clear this particular part of the Moorfeldt Grasslands, now gazing towards the final leg of their journey. The Ruinlands was an entirely different kettle of fish altogether, after all. The decor was different; there was shrubbery lying about, in contrast to the dirt-bowl that seemed to make up the grasslands of Moorfeldt. Now, they'd simply have to make their way to Cryzanthum in the distance. Cleared Obstacle: Large Hole Reached: Shrublands 1 (Rocky Ruinlands) |
