Well, theyd arrived in Misthendge. She dealt with the business she needed and they were ready to go.

Andthat would be where?

They neednt decide so soon or travel too far. Lingering around town till something good happens would be just as good. Except she hated lingering around town, finding humans abominable creatures to bother with, and decided instead to linger the wildlands, perhaps find a few unfortunate souls to subject to the training of her dragons. Not that she condoned such abuse, justwell, how else was she going to approach it? Pokemon were mostly vicious by nature, a large part of their existence consisted of fighting one another in a seemingly never-ending race of dominance, and humans simply taking advantage of this fact to serve their own needs. The relationship was not one-sided- the Pokemon in question benefited as well, stronger and improved, changing and somehow bypassing humans in another kind of racethe evolutionary one. One day, perhaps, humans would be regarded as the weaker species. Pokemon would begin to realize that, and all hell would break loose.

She mused on these possibilities as she lead her team through the obscuring clouds that seemed perpetually descended on the valley. Was this what Jolt had in mind when he created the new Desolation Corporation? To prevent humanitys fall? Nono she didnt believe Jolt was as benevolent a man to believe the cause he preached. It was all about power, gaining more power, and not to be undone by it.

Humans would always rule over their supernatural brethren, and those under DC would rule over humankind. In Jemilies perception wellshe could hardly care any less. The game of life was solely one of survival, where the strongest were permitted to live while the weak were left behind and forgotten. Such a fate was unacceptable, and time and again it continually caught up to her, raking its claws on her heals, wanting her to slip and fall and fall prey to its clutches. Only once beforebut never again. Death would meet her in the most grand struggle. She would fight it before she fell. It was her truest of desires she understood and clung to, the value of her existence of which everything she did was based upon.

And to undertake a path of slaughter, it was justified.

So deep you drowned within your musing, the butterfly that was hovering somewhere a bit higher than your head went unnoticed for some time. The vibrating of its large wings filled the air as it floated, slightly uneven, being tossed to and fro by a slight breeze. After a few moments, it was fed up with you being oblivious to its presence, and flapped its wings to allow it to soar over your head and a short distance in front of you before dropping down to eye level.

"FREE!" It was more than a cry -- it could be fairly classified as a shriek. A dull buzzing sound was eminating from the Butterfree; a sound that you could not yet identify the source of, yet it seemed to come in waves, alternating between harsh and soft. The fog that gave the area its name swathed everything but the insect, whose frantically beating wings seemed to provide it with some sort of forcefield. Isn't this supposed to be the UNCLEARABLE fog marsh?

Wincing, waiting for the horrid ringing to leave her ears (if it ever would - she feared they were damaged by the piercing screech), she gave the strange bug Pokemon one of her filthiest looks. She never did like bug Pokemon much. There were exceptions- Hiryu being a notable one due to the fact that he was also part dragon as well as insect- but she largely looked down upon such creatures. And they largely ignored her, unless they found some reason to foolishly attack her, which she didn't mind in the least. She wouldn't have minded this Butterfree as well, would have been quick to seize Hwajeh on her and rid herself of the nuisance as swiftly as possible. But this one didn't seem hostile despite the unsavory assault on her eardrums.

"Er...what do you want?" she said with a bit more patience, looking over the insect for some clue of its interference. There was one thing notable in the silence and thick obscurity of her surroundings- a sound that seemed like dull buzzing to her -although that could very well be the sound of her ears dying- and the strange clarity surrounding its beating wings. Surely even beatings wings weren't enough to clear the heavy fog, simply displacing the mist from the space where it would eventually occupy once more. So why was this happening in the Butterfree's case?

Mysterious!

The Butterfree offered no answers to your justified queries, instead just continued to hover gently in the air, wings smacking the air like a broken eggbeater flying from the hands of a hassled cook. You watched it a moment longer, but it appeared content with having blasted your eardrums.

You scoffed and things and started walking on to you destination, and yet that Butterfree kept following, silent except for the eggbeater. You turned once more to ask again what it wanted, but then, it plopped on your head.

The fuck?

Yeah...wtf? There was Butterfree on her hair. Kill!

"...Eh. Suit yourself. Just don't get in my way," the girl muttered, proceeding down the fog-filled valley, no real path to be seen or followed, a butterfly-thing perched on her skull. Why didn't she just incinerate the thing was just a matter of relevance. So long as it wasn't being completely hindering, there was no real reason to destroy it. A life was a terrible thing to waste.

Bored with the pokemon girl Butterfree flew off into the fog hunting for someone else to bother. Jemilie trudged through the Foggy Marsh her feet occaisionaly becoming stuck in the sticky ground. Getting stuck for what seemed like the 100th time Jemilie realised she was out of the marsh and into her next landmark. Unfortunately for her the area she was now in was called the Sinklands for a specific reason.

Above her swayed four objects slowly back and forth. They looked somewhat like hanging branches, but their colouring was off. Thanks to the fog that still lingered Jemilie was unable to establish what the objects were. That was the least of her troubles, stuck in the sinklands she was slowly sinking lower until her waist was covered.

Reached Sinklands.

For what seemed like the umpteenth time, Jemilie struggled to pull herself out of the gunk that seemed intent on dragging her down to its deepest depths. It was as if the area was alive; one massive creature preying upon her as she undertook this futile endeavor to cross it. Before she was even aware of it, she would have been wholly devoured.

But then something else stuck....why was she wasting energy trying to cross when she could have just flew cross it. ..Stupids!

"Get me out of here," she muttered, launching Hiryu's Pokeball skyward and releasing the great jade earth dragon from his confines. Only too happy to one again have unhindered access to the zenith of the heavens, he took his first moments simply relishing in his freedom, leaving the girl to wait (im)patiently for his attention to return to her. He eventually swooped over and scooped her out, muck persistently clinging to every inch of her form, yet freed from the swamp's grip all the same.

"Thank you," she managed, doing her best to scrape her hair clean of filth whilst they soared across the sinklands. Not an inch of sky or land was visible to her, only the cold, icy touch of precipitate to caress her skin as Hiryu soared expertly through the blind space. She figured the filters, a trait from his earlier forms of being more insect than dragon, had somehow assisted to further clear his vision to some small degree. It was a thought, how evolution could provide Hiryu with these new abilities. Since being only a ground-dwelling Trapinch not too long ago, he really had gone far not only in terms of his physical advancement, but in his confidence and strength of will as well. The doubt of his capture and new circumstances to serve under a human was swiftly abolished, replaced with a hope as bright as the sun, and as reachable with his new wings to take him there. For all that he was and knew, Hiryu was satisfied with these things, his new love the vast limitless heavens, and never would he consider a strife more challenging than to climb the highest pinnacle of the world. It was all Jemilie could do to feel his contentment as well, and she had, the one who had promised him this and followed through by offering a chance to be a part of a brand new world he never knew possible. And with the swiftness of his becoming, perhaps it was unlikely he ever would without her remonstrations to coax nature into action, to reassure his fear of change and finally lead him to seek the light of understanding.

Evolution didn't end. It never ended. And with her promise to him, she wished him to be far more than what he was; never content to stop and to continue climbing the mountain of his potential. It was not unlike her own personal arms race, where her own survival depended on what creatures she could acquisition and find solace in their own powers. They improved on their mutualism, and what Hiryu provided for her, Jemilie gave more. She decided to let him know that much. "Oh, and Hiryu. Your training doesn't stop with your wings. As I've told you before, its my desire to make sure you and the others would be able to reach your full potential. In order to achieve that, we need to match you with others who are of near or the same strength as you ll are Understand?"

His rumble, sounding very much an odd mix between a growl and a buzz, responded to her query, though whether he genuinely understood her methods was still questionable. She smoothed the dark jade pines that ran along his spine, down across the collar where the two bells jingled melodically with every movement, fading to ominous echoes within the fog-shrouded environment. The silence was welcome, with only the sounds of th dragon's breath and beating wings to assure her that she was not alone in this dreamscape. And should there be others...they would know before they would see them.

(Happiness perhaps?)

Hiryu's wings fanned out on either side of him and he shot through the fog like a bullet, his keen eyes flashed and fanned out in every visible spectrum, taking in the scenery and any possible obstacles. This was his true home... the wide and open sky. With his new evolution and his trusting trainer atop his back he felt more like himself then he ever had. +2 :happiness for the Flygon.

After several minutes of sky-maneuvering, Hiryu blinked several times, wondering if he was seeing right. His vision was limited, but just further along stood a massive, light green, hulking shape with two appendages fanning out, almost like wings. The Flygon slowed down considerably, moving in slowly and with caution, his scanning eyes moving like clockwork, taking in every detail.

The massive shape was a giant mech, created in the image of a Carnivine. Its tentacle-like legs swung and twisted down, embedded in the mud. Two leaf-like arms were stretched out in the air, and it was snapping its mechanical jaws menacingly. Its white, pearly eyes glowed with an unnatural sheen.

"Hey, lass!" A voice boomed out from nowhere, amplifying several times through the desolate valley. "Hows about you hand me that Flygon you got there and then scoot on outta here?

Jemilie looked over the dragons great wing, squinting into the mist as best she could. Although she really didnt need to see the massive metallic shape to know that it was there- the booming voice spouting malarkey at her provided her that reassurance.

The unmitigated gall of that bastard. Who the fricking hellit has to be one of those damn Rockets. Shed dealt with one of them before, the grunt demanding she relinquish Hiryu as well (actually, he made some idiotic innuendo to have sex with her, then demanded Hiryu after shed stomped him with her cold refusal). It was a quick and painful lesson learned that day, to think twice before trying to come between a girl and her dragon. Although this guy had to have some pretty huge balls to mess with her, knowing she did have a Flygon and thought shed just hand it over. Oh no, he obviously wasnt expecting that, which was why he had some sort of, ofwhat the fuck was it? It was a machine surely, that much was obvious enough for her. A Pokemon mech? Whatever.

The swamplands and fog wasnt going to do her any favors, and if that was some high-tech weaponry that guy had there, then she was at a disadvantage, barely being able to navigate those obstacles while he had something adaptable. Hiryu would be able to fight it, but a creature that sizeno, not alone.

Hiryu dropped her back to earth and ascended to fight with the massive machination, Endymion joining his fight. The earth dragon was already moving for the first attack, circling the psudo-Carnevine and giving it wide breath. He still wasnt sure on how his opponent played, and while Jemilie rummaged the Pokedex for the creature it emulated, he had to improvise. Shadows danced across his form, mingling with the shady environment, combined with the speed of his flight, made him all the more difficult to target. In the realm hed disappeared into, hed be able to locate and hit his target, and he intended to hit it hard, backed up with the force of his powerful legs, strong enough to make the earth tremble. Endymion in the meanwhile had remained where he was on first, steady ground, light sparking from the depths of his armor while he waited, aimed, and spewed a white-hot breath of fire at the thing. The straightforward Fire Blast attack wasnt known for always being accurate, always traveling in a straight direction, unable to alter its course. If Hiryu could keep it in place, then there would be no question to it successfully hitting. The mech was so immense that it shouldnt even be a problem, but then they werent sure what other sort of capabilities it had.

The odd looking mecha was much slower than the duo that faced it, as the rocket driver keyed in a command for a potentially devasting attack Flygon was already in the middle of passing through another dimension.

Shelgon was undergoing his own transformation, but a more mental change than a physical one. Focusing his mind he was able to identify the weakpoints on the opposing creature. A blast of flame wrapped around it's metalic body causing the inside to heat dramatically, the rocket driver wiped his brow as the sweat poured onto the console.

After what seemed an age finally the creature reacted, with amazing quickness a bunch of metal wires shot towards Shelgon wrapping around his circular body. The next few seconds were quite rapid, as Flygon appeared back in this dimension Shelgon was pulled in the way of the incoming earth attack. Although Shelgon felt the brunt of the attack the mecha was sent crashing to the ground sparks shooting from various vines. Somehow the mech was able to regain his position back in the trees.

Smoke and heat rose around the mechanical plant, awash in dragon fire and tormenting the fool piloting the craft. Recovering from the blow of the Flygon, he righted the contraption back to position, fingering the buttons, preparing for another attack. But after peering at the viewscreens, the area the same as it was just moments before, found himself at a dilemma. The creatures and the girl he faced were nowhere to be seen. And he just hit the 'Selfdestruct' button.

..Shit.

And Jemilie, the moderately smarter and slightly more cowardish of the two, decided that another Rocket wasn't worth facing in this hazardous semi-land environment. Also, it occurred to her that a Pokemon Lab was nearby, in a small town not too far away. Why ever why would she want to go there? She did originally have plans to go, not exactly in the immediate future, and yet a sudden impulse had gotten her to steer the grand ground dragon in the direction of the little place over the Quad Mountains.

And somehow, things seemed much easier than before.
