(Might not be a great 'first impression,' but I'm feeling lazy. So deal with it. lol) "Alright people," the teen began, "we all know what were here for right? Were here for some excitement, some bleeding and bone-crushing action! You all are here to prove just how good of a trainer you can be! Sooo, let's see it! Let the games begin!" The teen's uncle cut a wide ribbon and let a good-sized crowd enter into the stands and arenas. The stands were made from bails of hay covered with blankets, and the arenas were cut out from the long grasses surrounding them. Yes, it was a farm owned by the teen's uncle. The people loved that place. The teen, Tao, was a referee and his uncle, Diaki, collected any bets that were made. "Were gonna make another killing this month, eh Tao?" his uncle asked. He gave a chuckle right after saying that and walked off to collect money from the crowds. Doing this, his uncle made sure that he could support himself even if there were troubles on the farm. And he could pretty much buy any luxuries he wanted to have. Yeah, his idea was a pretty damn good one. After the matches were over for the day, Tao had helped to put everything away. This included the blankets, hay bails, his microphone, and the extension cords. The hay bails were a pain to put away, but he didn't mind. After all, that day would be the last time he would have to do anything on his uncle's farm. After gaining knowledge about the pokemon and how to raise and treat them from his uncle, he was ready to become a trainer. "Sooo," his uncle started," how good of a trainer do you think you can be?" "A pretty damn good one," Tao replied with a smirk on his face. His uncle laughed a bit but soon got a depressed look on his face as they walked towards the dirt road leading to town. He loved being able to run his farm alongside his nephew. But, he didn't want Tao to give up his dreams either, so he was glad for him as well. "Well, I think you'll be a pretty damn good one too," Diaki told him. "And I went ahead and got some things ready for you. I talked to someone over at the lab and they said you can just go right over and pick up your first pokemon! But first, I gathered some things for you. Here you go." Diaki handed over a backpack with a few items and some zenni packed inside of it. Tao looked inside to see what they were, said his thanks and goodbyes, and then walked off towards the town. His journey... his legacy has now begun. |
