Three ever-hunched figures walked slowly on the horizon, but with a much more apparent than usual joy behind each slog through the despicable plains. Yesterday, the three would have been tired beyond belief. It was six in the morning, for gods sake! But this morning, they had business. Some business they couldn't wait to begin. Today, they were members of DC. "Heh..." Muttered Tim, gaining the attention of his fellow travelers. "DC's the name, power's the game!" It sounded even dumber said aloud. Two scornful glances, one from Doc, the other a tired Quilava. The latter was certainly not a morning person, and reminded Tim that this was no time for dumb jokes with a burst of billowing flame. Swatting at the fireball, annoyed, Tim said, "Come on, just having some fun!" Two more scornful glances. "Perhaps silence is better for now...", Tim thought. "Necrophicix, aye?" He began, unable to stop himself. "Sounds almost like-" Another fireball. For now, that joke would remain untold. === (Poison Plain 2 to Dry Wasteland 1) |

( 0.2 )With thoughts set on the growing team of DC and being a part of one of the most tenactious groups of chriminals the region would see, your mind is far off from your current task at hand. In the midst of a less that acceptable joke you feel a sharp pain in your chest. It might have been the result of a fire attack from your quilava who was obviously not pleased by the joke. As you looked around you saw quilava standing right next to you as calm as it could be. You could not smell any smoke that would surely be there had it been a fire attack, so what could it have been? You could see the glow of purple out in front of you as you turned your head to see what it was that gave you such a stomach ache. There in front of you with it's fingers still glowing from its fresh sucker punch attack was a Croagunk. Apparently it did not find your joke funny in the least bit either. Lv 24

.2 Having now patted down his hair, brushing the last ashes from his shoulders, Tim felt the unpleasant feeling of air rushing from your lungs. Coughing and spluttering, he spotted a Croagunk. Forcing a deep breath into his lungs, Tim wound up and gave the frog a mighty kick. Toe-balled it, too. That one'll sting. As he watched the small body twisting and tumbling, he sent Cynder on forward, orders of Flamethrowers on his mind. "Make 'em burn Cynder!" He shouted, massaging his sore ribs and throwing furtive glances down at Doc, who struggled to hold in giggles of all types. === ![]() Lv. 30 60/60 (Flamethrower) vs. ![]() Lv. 24 (kick'd) |

(0.2 )The kick did in fact send the small poison frog pokemon for a tumble. Throwing out it's arm and catching itself, Croagunk was able to get a stable hold on the situation. Seeing Quilava build up it's flamethrower attack, Croagunk charged forward to use revenge made twice as powerful by your punt. As the Croagunk connected with Quilava, Quilava's flamethrower burst and engulfed the pokemon sending them both in their opposite directions. The Revenge attack took its tole, but a full blaste flame thrower would almost totally send Croagunk for a loop as it took a few moments for the poison frog to regain it's footing on the dry ground. .2 "All right!" Doc shouted, spotting the lethargic and pained motions the Croagunk made as it returned to its feet. Slightly surprised by Doc's first words of the day, both Cynder and Tim turned. "So you are awake then?" Tim asked. A scornful glance, and surely he would have felt a second fireball. "Fine, fine," Tim sighed. "Cynder, run at the Croagunk, while using a Swift to keep him busy. Then finish it off with a Tackle." Rolling her eyes, Cynder brought her legs beneath her, and took off at the slowed Croagunk, shining stars tearing through the air in front of her. === ![]() Lv. 30 44/60 vs. ![]() Lv. 24 18/48 -Burned- |

0.2 With the time between the first and second stage of attacks, the crogunk prepared itself although in obvious pain. Getting back to both feet, crogunk watched Cynder and her movements. Sprinting towards it and firing off swift while moving surely meant there was more to this attack than the swift that darted toward it. Unable to dodge the swift it was scuffed while hoping to the side to avoid the attack. Quickly turning to look up, just as the pokemon had thought, the attack was not yet done. Watching as Cynder darted straight towards it, the Croagunk leapt up into the air above the tackle attack and sent a poison jab right down into the back of Cynder. The Croagunk flipped forward and landed on its feat. It then put distance between Cynder and itself to be at its safest while looking at the trainer as if to say. .2 Thinks had seemed to be working find, until summoning some unforeseen strength, the Croagunk leaped above the diving Cynder, driving a jab down across the fire Pokemon's back. It was clearly laced with poison. Cynder's back arched painfully as the poison took hold and she crashed to the ground. Tim always hated having to see Cynder this way. She had been his first Pokemon, and he never enjoyed being reminded of this part of battle; the part where things go badly. Adding insult to injury, the Croagunk was visibly proud of his efforts. Not wanting to bear Cynder's pain, he recalled her dejectedly. And Cynder knew the reason behind it. A pang of annoyance flashed through her mind as a familiar red light drew near; she was treated too much like a kid, someone that needed protecting. She'd have to discuss this later, why couldn't she ever stay in the fight? An explosion of white welcomed Swellow, who came flying from the fading light. The pugnacious Pokemon was never one to back down from a fight, and spotted the opponent poison frog immediately. He swung his wings hard, and raced toward the Croagunk, paying no mind to any advice his trainer may have. Tim bit back his shouts, inclined to let the bird have its way. Doc on the other hand, jumped from his prone position (for he had been sleeping), and began shouting. "Hold up Swellow! What are you-" He was thrown to the ground by Tim. "Let him do what he wants, Doc! You don't need to tell your Pokemon everything they need to do!" Doc frowned unhappily at this reprimand, and went back to his sleeping. That kid slept too much. === ![]() Lv. 23 46/46 (Agility, then Aerial Ace) vs. ![]() Lv. 24 14/48 Burned |

0.3 (OOC: SORRY 45! Last night when I was going to get your mod some people came over and I never got a chance :/ ) With grace and agility, the swellow darted across the field as the croagunk was hardly even ready for the change in opponent. Swellow turned and darted towards the ground and turned upwards about to collide with the frog like opponent. Without a chance to prepare from the bird's speed, Croagunk to the full brunt of the Aerial Ace attack. A beak to the gut sent the poison frog tumbling until it turned over on the ground looking straight up. It's eyes were open but it appeared to be lifeless. Unable to tell if it was dead or alive might have been a good tactic to gain ground on Swellow for another close range poison jab, but it was just too tired and the Aerial Ace had taken too much out of it. Unless something is done fast, burn will take it's tole next round without any agressive tactics to end the fight. ![]() Lv 23 46/46Agi + 1 vs. croagunk ![]() Lv 24 3/48~Burned |

.3 Tim was learning more now about his Pokemon than ever before. The last few days had been quite the bonding experience. He WAS holding back Cynder. Shiftry was not his biggest fan. Whiscash was growing increasingly annoyed with his treatment. Swellow, as it was certainly now apparent, was his most underated Pokemon. Really, Meditite was his only Pokemon that enjoyed his company indiscriminately. It saddened him. But for now, a battle needed to be won. And he had his opponent on the ropes. Waking Sleeping Beauty from his earthy bed, he whispered, "We'll be heading out soon. Wake up." And again with the scowls. This situation was growing more and more depressing, "Swellow! Fly in, and draw the Croagunk into the first attack. Avoid it with a Double Team, and the finish up with a Wing Attack!" He shouted. Even battles, where he always felt most at home, seemed tiring. He sighed. === ![]() Lv. 23 46/46 vs. ![]() Lv. 24 3/48 Burned |

((:gexp +0.3)) Your companions would have to grow attached to you, since you didn't have any plans for setting them lose. You would have to establish their trust in order to build the team's morale and make them believe in you. Swellow multiplied its image by using enough speed to create after-images behind its blinding speed. Croagrunk lept with the intent to strike down the bird before it could take off. But sadly, the bird it struck disappeared within an instant. Wings connected to its back for the finishing blow. Croagrunk was completly outmatched in this situation and it ended as you had planned. 1.05 for Swellow!

.2 "Great job, Swellow," Tim muttered, mind elsewhere at the moment. He recalled the jubilant bird, and bent down to Doc, who was still insisting on trying to sleep. He gave him a whack on the head for his trouble. Doc understood, and started moving. "Doc, you can't keep laying around while we battle if you want to be a trainer some day," Tim reminded. "I know, I know. But we've been traveling so much lately, I'm just tired," He explained. "Well, we don't have time to be tired. You can sleep all you want when we get to Necrophicix." "Fine, fine." And the pair began to run. (Poison Plain 2, to Dry Wasteland) |

.2 The two of you ran and ran, until you reached the the ever-expanding flatland of the wasteland. The dry one. Reaached: Dry Wasteland 2 It was here that the drowsy Doc stumbled over his own feet, sending him to the ground below. He didn't suffer any major injuries, except for a skinned knee, and maybe a case of emabrassment. A pokemon didn't think lightly of it, however. A Murkrow could be heard squawking away, thinking the fall was a bit more than hilarious. Its laughter gave away its position, however, as you spotted the bird rolling on the ground, overcome with the situation. ![]() ![]() level 25 50/50 |

.2 Just as they started to build up a respectable pace, Doc goes tumbling to the ground, having tripped over a Pokemon. Not just any Pokemon. A bird. How can that even happen? "Way to go Doc," he said as the kid started to stand up again. "Real smooth. Now come on, let's get going." Tim spared a glance at the Murkrow, who sat doubled over, consumed with its own laughter. It wouldn't mind them leaving. (Dry Wasteland 1, to Dry Land 1) |
