It was so soothing to him... The rain seemed to caress him with everything he was. There was something about the gentle rain that calmed his ever quarrelsome soul. It cooled his anger, let flow his feelings and drowned his hearts deep pain that seemed to be his darkest ailment.

In the corner of a dark room in a lifeless house sat someone with nothing that had nothing to lose to begin with. Sitting there in a dark black coat was a young man that had been stripped of everything he cared about a long time ago. Losing his twin to the animalistic wrath he was forced to call a "father" so long ago placed a void within him that would keep him from being whole until he found the one that made him something. His eldest brother, his idol, the one he held most with content. The one with the future, the one that could have done anything, it all seemed so odd that he would do nothing in this darkened young man's time of need.

"Raxious..."

A deep and rumbling voice uttered from beneath the black robes strewn about the tall figure sitting against the walls that formed a corner. A head slightly tilted upwards revealing long red locks of hair from under a black hood. A chin and a pair of thin emotionless lips could be seen from under the draped cloth as it seemed almost lifeless in this state.

Feeling nothing but his past, this young one thought it almost better to lay there till he was no more. Nothing drove, his brother Tyson was the best, at least in his eyes. He was the successful one, the better son. Axel held him with no regaurd in what little heart that remaind inside of him. The only one that truly remained was Rex. His younger twin brother, Raxious to his name, Rex to this broken soul. Rex was the one he was to protect. The older brother was there to protect the younger brother, at least that was his way of thinking.

A squint of pain showed the discomfort within this shadow of a man. Grabbing his chest he leaned over himself clinching in pain all that was left of him. A tear ran down the hardened, emotionless face that was stricken with permanent marks. Dark marks were imbedded in his skin, cast across his young complection as atonement for his sins. His was the figure of a powerful man, prominent yet recessive only now looking broken and shattered.

He had been alone since he could remember, but at times he would be haunted by the past he would hope to have forgotten. This night was stricken with his memories like the rain that struck the roof over his head. Crawling to his knees, the one drapped in black made his way to his feet. Standing, still holding his chest, the man straightened up displaying a towering height close to seven feet tall while making his way to the front door of the cold, dark dwelling place.

Countless things ran through a troubled mind while pain and anger enthralled a young heart. The young man of 19 held the door frame as he looked out on the dirt road which slowly began to turn to mud. He had no cares of how he came to this place just as he could not remember how he found himself there in the first place. His past and his thoughts clouded everything around him as he could not place anything now, not even his own senses. The only thing he could place was his sense of smell. He could only smell one thing now, the rain.

Stumbling through the door frame with his hand over his heart, a new man made his way with a new task set before him to complete. stepping out into the evening, submersed in a storm, the young man finally felt the rain against his face. Turning his eyes to the sky the man pulled back his cloak to reveal his bare chest with markings of their own. The rain ran down and his body relaxed as if the orbs from the sky cooled his burning heart. Relaxing his hands down to his sides, he left the cloak open and his bare chest exposed. Leaning his head over the young man pulled his hands up and ran his hands through his wet blood red hair. He wasn't the boy he use to be. He had dissapeared as just a young boy, he had lost his way and again let himself be stricken of friends and family. Now he had nothing, just like before when he came into this world.

Auxelious Tyson Maximas, thats it, that was his name so long ago. His name, a name for his father, made even him want to expell what might have been left within himself from the day before. Looking to his left the road went down a forrest path. He knew this road, but from where he did not know. It did however lead him on to the next stop at which he knew was laid out for him to make in the grand sceme of things. Thinking on his name from before, his mouth took on a slight downward curvature. He was frowning slightly as he turned and made his way down the path.

"Auxelious Tyson Maximas... @#$% that... I think I'll go with, Axel."

0.4 :exp (Have to say, as best as I can remember what youve written in the past, this is a HUUGE- improvement. I feel inspired, even. Oh, and dont forget to read up on Gen exp.)

Fortune might have smiled upon the forsaken man who crept amidst the shadows of the buildings abandoned walkways like a creature of the damned. Even on a day whose dark skies seemed to drown any flicker of hope with the joyless drumming of freezing rain. From his dreamy meanderings, Axel managed to stumble across three items that might prove to be of use to him; a old outdated Poketech, a multifunction navigational tool most often used by Pokemon trainers; an Escape Rope device with three charges stored, and about 5000z in loose change acquired from various nooks and crannies of rooms and furniture. Every penny counts, I suppose.

And so begins the story of an emotionally distraught man of freakishly large proportions, to seek and travel down the physical and figurative road that would lead him to a destiny hazy and uncertain as the storm in the horizon. Just one of many stories unfolding, of countless others who seek the same path of enlightenment, to find some semblance of purpose to their somewhat infinitesimal span of existence. For what was life but a brief flicker in eternity? A trial of meaningless suffering? Derision for being? Surely the sum of life couldnt amount to such petty misery. Surely there was something more to it than that, much more.

What little will and reason he possessed steered him blindly forwards down the dark uncertain path. In a moment of confusion where the storm clouded his vision and the light remained unseen, it was all he could do to keep going, and not succumb to the forces that threatened to blow him down.

(Well, I have only been gone a year, maybe two year now, but I have been writing every day since I left on another board. I don't think thats what helped me though. I think it was a bit of me finding in myself my real character and though it might resemble the hollow shell of the man he was before, he is hardly the same if at all. This is a new Axel, not the Kc(the immature adolescent @#$%) he used to be and not even the eldest Axel(the overconfident jack @$$). No, this is a truly different character than any other I've made. This is the real character that is in us all, for some of you possibly still laying dorment. Anyway, thank you for your kind words and with comments like this I can only see me staying here for good and hopefully getting better.)

The rain softly slipped down his sticky tongue while he looked up at the only thing that gave him peace in the world. The rain seemed to trigger something within him that released his demons so that his soul my breath free air for a short time. The only problem was, where were these demons to go?

Like water dampening a flame, the rain stifled his angers and woes, his hates, his pains and even his mal content for even himself. This man seemed to wallow within the pools of his self pity when he was in daylight or dry evenings with a bright sun. It was not god given power, but the rain seemed to follow him and be at his back just for when he needed a release. The only problem was that along with his own ambitions being possibly too much for another to bare, his own demon's might rise up like a cloud of darkness about him.

Almost as if his body fizzled with each drop, the rain slicking down his hair and face. As if a gastly itself would emerge from his body, a dark and evil mist seemed to billow from his body as he walked down the dirt path into the forrest as the sky turned an endless black. With him his demon's would always follow, but they were not always able to keep a grip on his heart. It was a constant battle within the young man as the tall figure stumbled into the dark path like an wounded animal, only he would be nothing or no one's pray.

Looking to his right, a happy hoot-hoot seemed to hop out casting out oone legt to waver its body on. The darkness passed over this innocent creature, not killing it, not maiming it, but it may as well have been dead as its happiness was syphoned out like a virus had enthralled the night life pokemon. Looking upon it with an essance of pleasure and not a scent of regret, the deep voice of Auxelious Maximas sounded off once more.

"Now you feel only what I feel all the time little one. I could not blame you for not wanting to exist on this very moment as this is the darkness that befalls my poultry task. If only my life had no meaning, little one, I would not stay in this place for another moment..."

Looking on it with those dark eyes once more before he made his way. A smile crossed his face as he turned and with him he brought the darkness that would be his only company through this journey, as unwelcome as it might be...
