"Is it time?" Agnis asked as the wind pulling her headfeathers out slowly. The pale appendages swayed, glistening in the quiet sunlight. The area was dark though, and she stood out in her bright red, orange and yellow hues. Walking forward, she winced as her foot talon squished into a puddle of toxic sludge. Shaking her head, she turned to Airlia and repeated her question. Airlia kept her silence. Holding her chest, she reflected about what had happened. It was long since she dared step out of Y'orek. It wasn't exactly a safe place, but it was safer than whatever that was out here. Her heart pumped. This was the place. This was exactly the place where it happened. Suddenly, she didn't want to stay any longer. "It is time, Agnis." Agnis grinned and pulled Airlia along. They were to reach Wellly. --- Place: Y'orek Destination: Welly (Lagoon, Dried Riverbed, Poison Plain 1, Irrigation Station) |

(0.1 :gexp) Airlia may have had enough of the area around Yo'rek but there were plenty of pokemon who loved the conditions. The stench of death rotted the land to a point where it became unlivable well unlivable for all except the most putrid of creatures. Examples of these putrid pokemon were evident everywhere, streams of slime led to a Grimer nest, craters in the ground led to a Koffing colony and snake-marks in the ground indicated there was either Ekans and Arbok around or Seviper. Not living in a clan was Murkrow, he flew alone and spotting the girl and her pokemon proceeded to fly off quickly, to him she looked like a scarecrow, and scarecrow were bad news. (0.2 :gexp) I shivered in the dank moist area. I really didn't like it here. The sun barely brought any warmth, and Agnis' pulling didn't really help me move any faster. I tripped a few times; and I begged her to stop. Letting go of my hand, she sighed and asked, "You wanna use your motorbike? It'd be faster." I shook my head. I wanted to go through this by myself, with my own two feet. The toxic fumes made it hard though. Agnis shrugged, cocking her head as her blue eyes scanned the area. I hugged myself as I moved at my own pace. A step at a time, a step at a time. I whispered that mantra to myself as I closed my eyes, trying to clear my mind. It wasn't hard. It isn't hard. It was just a step at a time. Just a small step. I heard Agnis sighing next to me, apparently sick of the slow movement. Opening my eyes, I looked at her through the corner of my eyes and said, "You don't need to be here you know. Take a break in your Pokeball." I turned away and closed my eyes, pressing forwards. She grabbed me by my shoulders. "No. "You know what happened. I'm not going to leave you again. I need to be here by your side." She let go of me and kicked the sludge on the ground. My lip quivered. Then, in silence, together we moved forwards. The rapid fluttering of wings. My eyes opened wide and I faced up. A Murkrow, with his wings spread out wide, flying fast away. I wasn't about to let you escape. I won't let you escape. Snatching a Pokeball off my belt, I flung it into the air. Sanctuary appeared, his scales glistening in the sun. "San, Twister!" He nodded and curled his body up tightly mid-air. When he released his body, a fierce twister formed, aimed carefully at the Murkrow to disorientate his flight. San slowly then landed on the ground, gracefully making circles with his body: a Dragon Dance. His second battle won't be a failure. It won't. (0.3 :gexp) Sanctuary emerged from his pokeball ready for action, ever obedient to Airlia the small dragon summoned a powerful twister which ensnared the escaping bird. A few minutes in the washing machine cycle was all Murkrow could handle, using his powerful wings he burst from the windy cage and stared at San'. From deep within his lungs a black smog grew, opening his mouth he released the gas into the air, causing the dragon to fail her Dragon Dance. Flying through the haze Murkrow struck San with a wing attack slamming the much younger dragon into the poisonous ground. Sludge and other debris was splattered all over his normally quite clean complexion. Haze 1/5 Lv 28 50/56vs Lv 30 55/60

(0.2 :gexp) I stood in silence. The Murkrow swiveled about, his wings bursting him free of the powerful twister. His steely eyes now stared at San; and I wondered what he was about to do. San was still in midst of his beautiful dance, and I didn't want him to be interrupted. And even then, what could I do? I was useless in a Pokemon battle. I really was. The black bird opened his beak wide and choked out a cloud of toxic smog. It hit San right smack in the face. I gasped and shouted at the bird. Agnis held me back. Yes, she was right; interfering in a Pokemon battle like that wouldn't be a good idea. It wasn't a good idea before. San struggled to pick himself up after the ihalation of poisonous fumes, but at that moment, Murkrow swooped down and hit him with his wing. "Sanctuary!" Again, I felt Agnis' strong talons holding me back at the waist. This was the only way San was going to grow stronger. Clenching my teeth, I looked up. Sanctuary was up again, his lithe body now splattered with purple. I could see he was hurt; barely hurt, but still hurt. His snake-like body now wound up slowly, and his eyes shone with determination. "I'm okay, Mama. I'd win this for you." I nodded, grinning at him. San stared forwards, concentrating his efforts on defeating this Murkrow. A crackle of electricity - San was about to perform a Thunder Wave. Good strategy. Something that the old me would go with. "And remember, Agility to dodge!" Murkrow was a fast creature, but with Thunder Wave impeding his speed and a boost to San's speed, it would be infinitely easier for San to dodge any kind of attack from Murkrow. It wasn't as if the smog moved at an incredible speed. Agnis smiled to herself; this reminded her of our past times. And I smiled because I knew. (0.3 :gexp) The orb on San's head glowed a bright yellow as the electricity ran through his body, with a simple flick of his tail a jolt of power was sent directly into the belly of Murkrow. Specifically designed to target the nerves the jolt numbed his muscles and made it dificult to simply flap his wings. Shaking off the first wave of paralysis Murkrow dive bombed at Dratini, luckily for the dragon he was able to avoid the attack easily. Like Airlia had predicted the smog was unable to keep up with the speed of Dratini and for a moment he could feel his mind focusing on his movements and keeping them as fluid as he could. Murkrow slammed into the ground damaging him slightly, things may turn for the better, however, for Murkrow. As San was trying to avoid the hazey fog he drifted directly over the crow, mustering his power he was able to use his wing to bat the dragon back into the mist. The haze drifted right into San's brain and made him forget about his movements. Lv 28 50/56vs Lv 30 52/60~Paralyzed |

0.3 ![]() -- The electricity crackled through Murkrow's dark feathers with just a flick of San's tail. He was proud of himself, as the Murkrow could not manage to keep up with his movements; the extra speed the Agility brought made the attacks easier to dodge. I grinned to myself as my baby wound around all the smog. The bird looked confused as he hit the ground; and then with a lift of his wing, he gently pushed San into the hazy air. Ugh. I growled as San slowed down, the speed of his movement returning to normal. I quickly shouted for San to pick up his speed again; "With a Dragon Dance!" San nodded, his sleek serpentine body shaping into a 'S' as he began his sacred dance. Then I remembered the attack that he first did. "Dragon Rush!" San turned and stopped, dashing toward the bird, a green flame enveloping his body. LV28 50/56[Dragon Dance][Dragon Rush] VS LV30 52/60

.2 It would seem that you and your dragon would have the upper hand. San continued to heighten its speed while building up probably its most devastating maneuver. There was little Murkrow could do about it, seeing as how its body had electricity in its veins. Your dragons danc ehad completed, and left it only to finish the combination with Dragon Rush. While rushing in, the field became rather cloudy, and visibility significantly reduced. It was the work of Murkrow. Haze had been used to make things a bit more difficult for your dragon. The charcoal-like bird them moved through the haze, and slapped San in the face, making quite a show. The paralyzed bird had used Sucker Punch, an atatck that ignores speed, and lets the user atatck first. Murkrow knew its stuff, and was makign a fuss of things. But, San still had orders to carry out. Dragon Rush hadn't been finished, as your serpent-like pokemon slammed into the bird, sending it to the poisonois ground. The attack didn't do nearly as much harm as it should have.. .blame it on the light weight of Dratini. Still, you had the upper hand... but makign sure you didn't lose it was another battle entirely. ![]() ![]() level 28 29/56 vs ![]() ![]() level 30 28/60 *paralyzed* |

0.3 ![]() --- Again, the hazy air destroyed all of San's work as the large black wing of the Murkrow slapped into his face, sending him spinning. I gritted my teeth in anger, but Agnis held my shoulder, reminding me to stay calm; and it wasn't easy. San was still young and vulnerable. Just recovering from a vicious Carvanha attack, San was not in his best condition, and being his new mother, I could not let him get so hurt again. Calm down. It's just a bird. "San, that bird knows Sucker Punch. What I want you to do now is to perform your Dragon Dance and make yourself nimble enough to escape the Sucker Punch." With the bird paralyzed, it might not be too hard. What I was really pissed about is whatever San is doing to increase his stats were all gone because of the mist. And now, I had a plan. "And Twister whatever haze comes at you, and make it all dissipate. Try to hit the Murkrow too." Taking a deep breath, I took a step back as San nodded earnestly, and followed my instructions. We had to defeat the blackbird. LV28 29/56VS LV30 28/60~Paralyzed |

.2 Murkrow once again attempted to use Sucker Punch. The paralysis finally kicked in, sending the bird to the ground, strugglign to get back airborn. It was probably for the best... its best to be grounded with an impending twister coming... This gave San time to do its dance, and inevitabbly summon a Twister. It surrounded the Murkrow, making the feeling of not being able to do much of anything even worse than normal. Haze had been blown away, leaving you to attempt to buff up your dragon once more... until, of course, Haze was used again. ![]() ![]() level 28 29/56 *attack +1, speed +1* vs ![]() ![]() level 30 7/60 *paralyzed* |

0.2 ![]() --- I watched as the bird lay stunned helplessly, a crackle of electricity jumping in and out of his dark feathers, and gave a small laugh. Finally, the cocky blackbird has fallen, and the powerful twister charged away all of the hazy mess and the sunlight illuminated the area much more than before. The sleeky shiny plumage of the bird had me thinking: Should I capture it? The Murkrow lifted his head slightly, his beak golden and long. And I thought about how hard he fought and how cleverly he fought using the haze as his advantage. He could be a good companion, a cunning battler. I put my hand into my bag, feeling for a Pokeball. And I decided that San should go for the kill. "Dragon Dance, avoid all its attacks! Then Dragon Rush!" San nodded, his large nose bobbing up and down. With his forehead gem gleaming in the sunshine, he leapt up and swung his serpentine body gently, hypnotically, increasing his speed and his strength. (0.3 :gexp) Through dark eyes Murkrow saw his end it came in the shape of a long serpant like pokemon who moved so majestically. Willing his wings to flap he attempted to avoid the final blow, for a moment he was confident about his chances then in a flash of blue. His confidence was drained from him replaced instead with the nerve-numbing effects of Paralysis. Swinging his tail left and right San' could feel his dragon body grow stronger his movements were almost a prayer to the ancient dragon gods who granted great strength and speed to whomever could peform the dance. Finally the dragon had finished his preperation and in a flash of blue he shot at the down'd Murkrow deliving the final blow and within seconds the crow had disappeared all that remained was a few black feathers and some disturbed ground. It seemed that San's attack sent the flying pokemon directly into the earth. +1.1

0.3 ![]() --- "Mama!" The little blue dragon dashed through the sand and pounced onto me. I laughed and wrapped my arms around his body, feeling his smooth blue scales wash over my body as I fell backwards into the sand. Rubbing the crests at the sides of his head, I grinned and praised him, "That was an awesome battle!" Little San nuzzled my neck and giggled; then raising his head to the skies, he sighed quietly and said, "It could've been better." I stroked his head as I sat up slowly, wondering what to say. It was true; it could've been better. "Nonsense." San's head swivelled over to look at the red fowl that sashayed slowly toward us. I grinned at her. Agnis bent down and petted his head, whispering into his ear, "That was one of the best battles I ever seen." San's eyes lit up and I grinned even harder. Agnis was such a nice Pokemon, encouraging little Sanctuary like that. "Are you lying?" San asked, rising up so he was barely a head below Agnis, stare reaching into hers, "I'm sure you would have fought much better battles!" She grinned. "Sure, I did. I fought battles you'd never imagine." Those battles ran through my mind once she mentioned them. The Gym battle with that nasty Steelix, the battle against the Dark Lord and the battle with the Metang... All those battles were so memorable; and I knew I was going to have newer experiences with Sanctuary. "But that was great for a first-timer!" San grinned and lowered his head. I was sure he was blushing. Standing up, I whispered to Agnis, "That's so nice of you!" She beamed and whispered back, "He reminds me of myself when I was a Combusken." I laughed and said, "He's more like a kid!" "Hey! I heard that!" Feigning ignorance, I looked up at the beautiful blue sky and said, "Come on guys! Back to Y'orek to get this little fighter healed up!" I never seen him so proud of himself before and it made me so happy. ((Happiness please? For San and/or Agnis (: )) -left for Y'orek- |

The wind rushed through my air, pulling my hair along with it and I felt a little disgusted to tell the truth. The atmosphere here was really bad; the smell was acrid, burning my nostrils as I breathed in, trying to get through the Blighted Plains. I did not want to be distracted by the Pokemon around me; unless they looked rare and exotic. I held the handles a little tighter, and trod harder on the gas. It was times like these when the Rocket Bike was useful. It was sad though. Team Rocket seemed to have spontaneously died. Whatever. I didn't really want to resurrect it; I had my own plans now. I needed to get such a long distance to reach Wellly, but I had to do it. The watery areas near me didn't bother me though. This was one of the few lagoons in this area; and I hoped to reach there without any Pokemon disturbances. (0.2 :gexp) Luckily for Airlia her bike made travel through the Blighted Plains alot more enjoyable, just think, dirty wind whipping through your hair, polluted ground being flicked all over your clothes, what could be better? Reaching the outskirts of the Poison Plains Airlia was forced to take a break, something sharp was sticking out of her tyre and unfortunately this meant for the time being she would have to walk. Once she arrived at Moorfeldt, however, there would definately be a way to pump it up in the Pokemon Centre. The source of the sharp needles was none other than a pissed off Gligar, with a battle cry she fired another round of needles at Airlia and her bike. (0.2 :gexp) I groaned as the damn bike got its tyre punctured by some stupid thing; and then yelled when that THING got up to shoot me with its nasty stings. Damn it; stupid Gligar. I leapt from the bike, pulling it down with me to shield myself. Rapidly plucking a random Pokeball out from my belt, I threw it, releasing the being within in a white flash. Zryne came out with a loud 'gong!' of celebration and a giggle escaped my mouth; somehow the evolution had made him more jolly. "Ding!" He was excited I could tell. Cheekily, I commented, "You were the one who attacked my bike last time; and now it's your turn to protect it!" Tinkling back with excitement, Zryne hovered toward the Gligar, in turn shielding any of the stings from me; they didn't affect him. From my crounching position, I shouted commands to Zryne: "Confuse Ray and Iron Defense!" Gligar would have lost 50% chance of reliating once he was confused; and being a physical Pokemon, Iron Defense was a great attack to use in retaliation. Zryne nodded, making some noises as he did. (0.2 :gexp) As the Gligar flew toward Zryne viciously, I prayed that he would quickly perform that Confuse Ray. Being a hulking piece of metal levitated by electromagnetic waves and psychic energy meant that you couldn't move that fast; and that was Zryne's weak point. However, his defense was impeccable; with a glowing ball shot into the Gligar's ear, the purple Pokemon looked disorientated. I grinned to myself and got up slowly from behind the bike; it was safer now. And the Iron Defense protect Zryne even more, causing the Gligar's teeth to break slightly; that must have hurt. I smiled to myself as Zryne gave out a few more dings of happiness and then shouted, "Zryne, good job! Now, Extrasensory and Hypnosis together!" (0.2 :gexp) To its credit, the Gligar was able to focus on Zryne for just long enough to launch its most powerful attack - the fabled X-Scissor. The only problem was that Zryne had buffed its hard shell up to such an extent that the attack bounced off it with a loud *clang*. The Bronzong's counter-measures were much more effective. First, it did more of that tricky mind alteration, this time sending the Gligar off to sleep. Then, it tapped into its damaging psychic tendencies to send shockwaves through the poison pokémon's mind. It wasn't quite enough to finish the Gligar off right then and there, but it was still mighty impressive. "Zryne" Lv. 37 - 66/74 ![]() *Def +2* ~Hypnosis, Extrasensory~ Vs. (0.2 :gexp, and oops. I'll sort it out now.) The Gligar stayed asleep. It wasn't in any position to battle, even if it were awake. Even though the sleepin gpokémon wasn't strictly a poison type, it had been hit unusually hard by Zryne. It was just one of those exceptionally lucky attacks that had a temporary power boost. Criticals, they were called. Anyway, Zryne bolstered its own defences a bit more, just in case, then blasted the Gligar with another psychic attack. This time, it was enough to put it down for good. Or at least until you were far enough away to not worry about it. Zryne gains 1.1 :exp. (Um, yeah. We'll call that last one a lucky critical hit. It could happen.) |

(0.2 :gexp, Thanks!) --- "Ding!" "I got to figure out what you're saying." "Dong!" "I will get it! Don't doubt my language skills!" "Dingdong!" "Haha, yes you did an awesome job! Come here!" The large metallic Pokemon flipped his arms around me and I laughed, stretching my arms which barely reached half of his body. He didn't want to let go. I was so happy though. Through the battle, I thought we both understood each other better. When Zryne finally let go, he 'dinged' again, doing a little dance and swinging around gaily. He looked happier than ever. I whispered beside him, "What do you think of being with me?" He swung with a resounding "Ding!" I grinned and took out my Pokeball; and before he got back in for a rest, I said, "Thanks." With a red flash, the steel Pokemon disappeared with another loud sound. I love that fella. Zryne made me so happy somehow and maybe it was the musical thing with him. Pressing the auto tyre repair button, I got back on my bike and zoomed off toward my destination. (Happiness?) Area: At the edge of Poison Plain 1 and Poisoned Grass Destination: Moorfeldt Way: Poisoned Grass, Dead Area. |

.3, because DINGDONG makes me laugh. Ding Dong gets a heart. The plains soon ended, making way for the grass to gradually take its place. It was Poisoned Grass, but grass all the same. It make walking a bit more bearable, having a cushion under your feet. The area was slowly beginning to aquire more and more life. This was evident in the pokemon running around as well. Up ahead was a lively-looking plant. Roselia to be exact. It was hopping along quite joyfully in the purple grass, not having a care in the world. It was simply enjoying life. ![]() ![]() level 37 74/74 |

0.2 ![]() --- As I braked, I looked at the little Roselia, enjoying herself amongst the poisoned grasses. She was happy, so happy that it feels so wrong. This was the Blighted Plains, where gloom and doom reigned. Rozela, my own Roselia, was the polar opposite of this girly twirly Roselia. I liked her much better. The question is, should I attack? I rubbed each Pokeball in turn and I felt that San wanted to show me what he could do; and he just evolved. This would allow him to practice his newfound powers. The elegant serpent slid out with a bright glow of white. Sanctuary curled up in the air, his new horn glistening in the shreds of sunlight in this area. Turning toward me, I heard him say, "Thank you for giving me this chance Mama." His stare then shifted toward the Roselia, who was innocently playing around. What a shock she'd get. "Go for it, San!" I knew he didn't have any type advantage here, but I was sure he could complete this battle strong. I yelled, "Aqua Tail to make contact, and use the water to strengthen the electrictiy from Thunder Wave!" That was the strategy. San started to spring upwards, aiming his huge tail toward the little Roselia. The watery attack would help conduct the electricity into the Roselia to paralyze it. ![]() Level 38 76/76~Aqua Tail into a Thunder Wave VS ![]() Level 37 74/74

(0.3 :gexp) San's aim with his tail was true, and the glistening blue tail whipped into Roselia, striking the grass-type with some force. Immediately after contact was made, San sent a wave of electricity pulsing through his tail and into Roselia, paralysing it. Despite its natural resistance to such attacks, Roselia was still affected by them, especially at point-blank range. The grass pokémon snapped out of its random muscle spasms long enough to hit back, throwing some mystical homing leaves at the dragon. Contests like this one would be cagey affairs, with both pokémon resisting the other's best attacks. "San" Lv. 38 - 61/76 ![]() ~Aqua Tail, Thunder Wave~ Vs. (0.2 :gexp) "Come on San! You can do this!" Aqua Tail wasn't one of the best ideas, because it was a Water-type attack but I knew it ensured that the Grass Pokemon, resistant to electricity, would definitely be paralyzed by running a charge through her using one of nature's best conductors. This time though, San had to go all out with his offensive powers and destroy that plant creature. "Dragon Dance into a Dragon Rush!" San lifted off the ground, his body twisting around creatively, honouring the past dragons before him, praying on them for power. And power he'd have. I could picture it now, him in mid-air, then crashing downwards toward the little paralyzed Roselia. I grinned; then shouted a battle-cry to encourage San. (0.2 :gexp) Being in the firm grip of paralysis, the Roselia just didn't have the speed required to stop San getting in the first hit. The dragon pokémon's ritualistic dance allowed him to gain some of the strength and agility of the legendary dragons that wandered the earth before him. The extra speed, of course, was fairly redundant, but the increased power certainly was not. Once the dance was finished, San charged in with his full body, slamming into the Roselia with much more force than before. This time, the grass-type had no resistance to help it, and it keeled over, hitting the poisoned ground with a dull thud. San gains 1.0 :exp. |

(0.2 :gexp) The Roselia keeled over, body pulsating with crackles of electricity. Sanctuary did it once again! I dashed toward the dragon Pokemon, arms barely wrapping around his body and he gave a little tinkling laughter as he wound around me. His voice whispered huskily, "Too big for you now huh, Mama?" I gave a big laugh and replied, "Yeah, too big now for me to hold!" "I'm never too big to be loved though, right?" I nodded eagerly, as his warm silky skin rubbed around mine. His feathery sides were so soft and pretty and when he let go, I just had to feel it a little more. He grinned and said, "Makes me look a little more like you, doesn't it?" I nodded again; he had changed. Something in me hurt; I missed the little San. He noticed. "What's wrong?" "You've changed." He looked around, as if making sure no one saw, and then lifted up his tail and with the two little orbs at the end, rubbed my face. I was flushed with a kind of electric energy; and I instantly felt it. His emotions. "I'm confused too. I never knew evolving could have such a big change." "I understand." San grinned and nodded, looking up into the sky. The sun grew a little stronger, the sunlight breaking through the toxic fumes and giving me some warmth. I knew it was San who did it. Rubbing his side, I told him, "Don't worry San. I love you for who you are. Don't be afraid of change." He beamed and nodded, nudging me a little with his horn, saying, "You're the one who shouldn't be afraid." "Let's move on." Getting on my bike, I zoomed across the area quickly, but slow enough so San could fly at a comfortable pace beside me. The area never looked more beautiful and it was all thanks to Sanctuary. (Happiness? :D ) Area: Poisoned Grass Destination: Moorfeldt Way: Dead Area. |

2 Hearts .3 You rode along quite merrily, surprisingly enough. It was difficult to be merry in this hellacious place, but you managed to pull it off with help from your dragon-serpent-thing. The grass soon ceased to be. In its place was an area of doom and dismay. It was dead land. No grass. No sign of life anywhere. It was a desolate place in which nothing thrived. The clouds rolled back in as you continued forward. San slowed its pace, making you do the same. Something about this place made the drgaon feel... odd. Reached: Dead Area Then, a voice. It came form one direction, then quickly enveloped your position, surrounding you, causing quite a chill to run up your spine. It was the work of apokemon... not aliving one, but a pokemon all the same. A ghost had picked up your position, and now it would have a little fun at your expense. ![]() ![]() level 40 80/80 -Has used Mean Look, meaning you cannot escape- |
