Aydin waited patiently at the local bookstore, pushing his dark glasses back onto his nose he sighed, 1pm, where is he? Lunch should have been over 10 minutes ago. Reaching into his backpack he recovered a recent copy of Pokemon Scholars. If he is going to be late then I guess I could do some more study. He immediately turned the pages to the quiz located at the back. Scanning the question Aydin sat with his eyes closed the question and several answers ran through his mind. Which is smaller? Muttering to himself he pictured the pokemon. Sentret, Roselia, Zubat or Numel. Roselia? Quietly he spoke the name of the grass/poison pokemon. What about Roselia? A familiar voice spoke out as Aydin opened his eyes, Oh, never mind Sir. Closing the magazine he beamed up at the elderly bookkeeper. You and those quizzes Aydin, with a chuckle he continued, you analyse every little detail, you must have read at least a thousand books. Aydin blushed momentarily, before stating mater-of-factly. Its important to be prepared. Pushing open the door to his shop Sam ushered Aydin inside, Now what can I do for you today my boy? Aydin quickly shuffled inside, pushing his glasses high onto his nose, he looked at the man. Well, I have my meeting with the Professor tomorrow. Sam held up a hand in an effort to silence the boy but alas it was not very effective. And I need to prepare myself for any questions she may ask and, Taking a deep breath he continued, in an almost embarrassed voice. And, I havent decided on which pokemon I want. With a pout he pulled a PDA from his backpack, shoving it under Sams nose he spoke again. I have analysed all the data of each of the starters and they are all quite similar. Pulling the miniature computer back before Sam could respond Aydin began to run through the battle simulator he designed. Relax Aydin, not everything can be calculated perfectly. Sam attempted to reassure his worried friend, No, but it can, youll see, everything has a formula. Sam shook his head, You have much to learn, but you see that is what life is about learning. BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!! Startled Aydin picked up his phone quite hastily, although Sam couldnt hear who was on the other line it was clear who it was simply by listening to Aydins responses. But.Ill only be a..Aw please.I know its..Fine Hanging up the phone he spoke to the floor, Mum says I have to go home and get ready for tomorrow. Sam nodded, Yes I agree, its a big day, but just remember to try and relax a little bit. Aydin ran out the door shouting his goodbyes on his way out. Some time later Aydin arrived at home to the screeching of his mothers shrill voice, What do you think youre doing, tomorrow is the most important day of your life. After living with his mother his whole life Aydin was able to discover a method that would quieten her down. It was a method passed down throughout the ages, founded by men for men it was called the Your Always Right Method. Yes mum, your right, Ill go get ready now. Trudging up the stairs Aydin couldnt help but smirk. Closing his door silently behind him Aydin once again pulled out his PDA and connecting it to a projector above his bed he closed the blinds and ran the simulator. As the sounds of battle echoed throughout his room Aydin sat quietly and studied the footage his brain raced at a mile a minute. Who to pick, who to pick. For hours he sat in total silence, a knock on his door brought him from his trance. Opening it slowly his mum poked her head into the room, Dinner sweetie. Passing her son a plate she closed the door and let him return to his work. Several more hours passed and Aydin soon found himself slipping in and out of sleep. Attempting to remain awake proved fruitless and soon he slipped into a deep dreamless sleep. Waking to the warm touch of his mothers hand, Aydin was quick to arise, My simulator, With a cry he stared at the wall; the simulator displayed the word Winner in big bold letters. Mouth open he cried out in anguish, Who, who is the winner? Scrambling to the PDA on the desk he looked, bleary eyed at the sentence on the screen. Memory Full, Unable To Save Data. Aydin sat motionless for a few moments, he didnt know what to say, what to do. Finally the computer was able to find a winner but.. He couldnt bear to think of it; slowly he turned the PDA off and headed downstairs, followed closely by his confused mother. Breakfast is ready Ayds. Wolfing down the pancakes the young intellectual attempted to forget about the simulator. Heading back upstairs he grabbed his bag and shoved a few items inside, his PDA, a notepad, some extra clothes and his appointment letter with the Professor. He walked downstairs and was greeted by his mum, tears in her eyes she handed him a wrapped box, I was going to save this but now youre.youre. She couldnt bear to say the words so instead embraced her only son in a fierce bear hug. Wiping her eyes she walked into the kitchen, dont be late Aydin. Placing the box in his backpack Aydin trudged along the path to the professors lab. Stupid simulator, now I dont know who to pick. Reaching into his pack he pulled out the PDA and after typing in a few commands a slight buzzing could be heard, the boy connected headphones to the mini-computer just as an elderly man spoke. Welcome again to Pokemon Scholars, today we will be continuing our studies of the 12 starting pokemon trainers may choose from. Aydin was silent on his trip to the lab; only his shallow breaths and his light footsteps could be heard. |

When that box gets opened, you find 3000z, a PokeTech, and an Escape ROpe. But you already know this! Right? |
