The cane basket fell from the woman's hand as she began her descent into hell her sickness simply became too much, inside the basket was a small child barely six months old. Into the water and down the stream the basket and child floated. For hours the nameless child floated, oblivious to his surroundings, he fell into a deep sleep.

Awoken by the sights and sounds of new experiences, the child did the one thing it knew how to. He cried, however, crying to these things would do no good; a cry to them could mean a sign of aggression. Against aggression these animals were ruthless regardless of the size or strength of the opponent they will fight either alone or in the pack. Animals with a temper like these beasts should have simply ripped the small human piece from piece but there was something about him, he was different to the humans they had seen before. The ones before came with pokemon slaves and small spheres capable of capturing all but the mightiest Primape.

The group of young mankey scouts hoisted the basket onto their lean shoulders. The king needed to see this, only he and the shaman could decide what to do with the human. The boy fell asleep again the trip to the village was quite relaxing for him. Within minutes though they had arrived, as the child was heaped to the ground a wail began to gargle in his throat. Before the boy could release his tears the King of the tribe beat on his chest yelling loudly at the mankey scouts. "Tell me why would you bring a human here?" All the mankey's hid behind the leader of the scouting group, as he spoke the King rushed from his throne and delivered a swift kick to the midsection of the scout leader. The mankey was thrown against a nearby rock; the boy was bewildered at the sight of this aggression rising to his feet the mankey spoke a slight tremble could be heard in his voice. "Sire we brought the human here because he is simply a child, he can do us no harm."

The courage of the mankey to rise from such a strike and still be able to speak confidently to the King was more than enough for the Primape King. Walking over to the baby he flung him back into the basket, it was unknown to all the pokemon witnessing these events as to why the child didnt cry. For some reason the child felt a bond with the Primape King, wrapping his large hand around the basket handle the King walked into a small hut.

Purple smoke could be seen rising from a small fire pit, an elderly looking primape could be seen his normally white fur was stained purple. "My lord is that the child from the prophecies?" Without taking a glance at the child in the basket the Shaman spoke. "I am unsure, but we cant be too trusting these humans are all the same." The king laid the basket at the feet of the Shaman and took a few steps back. "Is he the one?" The Shaman picked the child up and held him close to his face, as the wise primape's eyes widened the small child burped. Placing the child back in the basket he simply replied, "Yes" Taking a deep breath he continued, "The child from the prophecies is said to be brave, this child does not cry." The primape held his hand against a wall, running his hand down the carvings he spoke, "The child is said to be our protector he will protect us from all danger but," he paused, "only if we supply him with the proper training."

As the years passed the child grew into a young boy, "Do you think you are ready to be initiated into the league of thieves?" The King often asked they boy this. The boy always responded with a simple no. The King was astounded that such a small child could have that much knowledge of his own abilities. The league of thieves was an elite group of mankey trained in the art of thievery adept at stealing, lock picking and information gathering these mankey's where the pinnacle of this village's survival.

The boy was named Silens Aufero by the Shaman for it meant 'Silent Steal' The boy felt he was ready for the initiation as his 7th birthday neared. Early one morning he stealthily snuck into the King's quarters, within seconds the young child was once again outside, around his neck lay the King's necklace and on his head sat the King's crown. The king woke as the sun rose he was furious, his belongings had been stolen storming outside he began to beat his chest. Glancing at the bottom of the stairs he stopped mid cry, there sat Silens a smile plastered to his face. He had made the king look foolish, however, instead of getting angry the king laughed he now knew the child was ready to join the league.

"My boy I now bestow on to you your challenge, you must travel the world and steal..." The king knew the child needed to be challenged, glancing around the king found a discarded magazine on the front cover was the pokemon league trophy. "Silens I want you to bring me back that item. " The king placed a bead necklace on to the boy, "This necklace signifies shame, once you become apart of the league we will remove it." Silens nodded he knew the importance of this challenge his future depended on it.

Silens made his way to the town, on the way he met his uncle. Silens had no way of knowing who this man was but the man somehow knew him. The human took Silens back to his house and proceeded to teach him about the human world. Silens nearly forgot about the league but because of the bead necklace he was forever reminded of his duty. Silen's uncle told him of the pokemon league trophy and what was required to even get a glance of it. Silens was 15 when his uncle decided to allow him to become a pokemon trainer, sending him on his way Silens was left to with nothing but a simple good luck.

As he walked towards the pokemon lab, Silens became aware of a sleeping man on the side of the road. He reeked of alcohol but still carried a heavy bag. "Hehe time for some practice," Silens was quick to rid the man of his bag. He kept walking towards the lab to begin his journey. 'Silens, dont forget your duty to the village' He had to become a great trainer in order to obtain the trophy and rid himself of the necklace of shame.
