[size=7]-This is now taking place in the Shrublands 1, found in the Rocky Ruinlands as far as wild Pokemon are concerned. It's a very small portion to cross on Charizard so instead of posting an entire new thread in the Rocky Ruinlands that would be practically pointless, I'm posting here until one of you mods say I've reached the Moordfelt Grasslands. So as far as wild Pokemon are concerned, should I run into any(I probably shouldn't *coughNPC'scough*...then use the Rocky Ruinlands list. That is all.....-[/size] The wind was rushing by Dante's face, his brown hair getting longer and longer with every month he didn't cut it. Now it was well past his ears, flailing at shoulder length. For Deacon who sat behind him, his eyes closed in annoyance of the strand whipping him in the face, this was very bothersome. "Cut your hair you fag." Dante scoffed at the remark, but ignored it after that. Below them was the shrublands, the landscape moving swiftly by as they flew a few dozen feet in the air. Dante's destination was the Gym in Radloff. He didn't know the area, the land, or anything that lay inbetween Cryzanthum and his sought after Gym. What he did know is that he could expect nothing and wish for the best. Training was an important part of any trainer's regime and in truth Dante had been lacking in this aspect for a while now. Ever since he arrived he had only been searching for that elusive Snorlax. Now that he had managed to capture Bulk, he could resume his journey to becoming the best trainer in the world. A Gym was an inevitability and that's where his destiny resided now. Keeping his eyes peeled below, Dante tried spotting any sort of trainers or people that may wander below. Though he was heading for Radloff, nothing was keeping Dante from looking for adventure and helping anyone in need. "Loser, keep your eyes open for anything or anyone. I could use the training, so any people you see with Pokemon let me know. I could use a few battles before I challenge the gym." Deacon tapped Dante on the back. "Why practice, you're probably gonna lose anyways because you're the loser!" Location: Shrublands 1 (Rocky Ruinlands -the outskirts-) Destination: Radloff City |

*Because your APL is so high and there are no NPCs yet in this area at your level, I'm gonna toss you a minor one... no big deal. Oh, and I think the both of you are losers. I am assuming you are flying on Charizard?* Flying high above the ground gave you an excellent vantage point. You could easily spot people in the grasslands from the desert skies. The question of whether or not thy had pokemon remained to be answered. Maybe you should go check? You wouldn't have to. Beside you, flew a giant Fearow, much bigger than any normal one. He looked a bit gruffy and mean. He was motioning for you to go to the ground, as he lowered his own altitude. Looks like you've been challenged. *Yay, my minor NPC stuff is being used. Go me! * Charizard's eyes narrowed in on the opposing Fearow's. He snarled and gave a mighty roar as he dove downwards at his trainer's commands. Dante pulled back on the reins and his mighty dragon went to land in the field below. Once on the ground, Dante and his young partner leapt from the beast's back. "Stay close, kid." Deacon watched as the massive Fearow landed just a few dozen yards away, the battlefield set. "What's goin' on?" Dante looked calm and turned to the boy. "That thing's got to have a trainer around here somewhere." It was easy to spot the owned Pokemon, in the wild Fearow did not manage to reach such amazing size naturally. Rigorous training and extensive care was required for a Pokemon to be of this calibur. He cast his gaze back at Charizard. "Take it easy for a few." Recalling his Pokemon, Dante clipped the sphere to his belt and stood patiently, waiting for the Fearow to land. The young boy scratched at the bandages about his forehead. "That Fearow looks pretty tough. Think you can take it?" Shrugging, Dante looked about in search of the fiend's trainer. "Who knows." His eyes scanned the area and he hoped that he wasn't wrong in assuming this Pokemon wasn't wild but tame. He didn't want to look like an idiot in front of Deacon. That would just add to the annoying problems that seemed to plague Dante while the boy was around. When Fearow landed, Ted indeed leapt off of its back. He didn't waste any time in walking over to you, voicing hsis reasons for stopping you. 'You have a Charizard, it's been a while since I have seen one of those.' This guy seemed likeable enough as to not be a criminal or anything. 'My name's Ted. I saw the bast flying and I had to try to catch it, but it must belong to you. You have to have some skill to have one. What about a battle... a spar if you will? One on one, first to lose a single pokemon loses?' Hmmm... simple enough, I guess. |

Dante folded his arms and nodded. "I'm all for a sparring match." He reached onto his belt and siezed a PokeBall. Turning back to Deacon he smirked. "You, stand back a bit. This could get rough." Throwing the PokeBall released the creature inside, a very large and very brutish beast known as Donphan. The Pokemon's thick, sharp tusks flailed in the air as he reared upon his hind legs and slammed back down with all his weight. The ground trembled and Donphan was glad to be out of its PokeBall after such a long time. He looked about and saw the opposing boy and his massive Fearow. It was easily assumed that this was a battle. Donphan trumpeted his trunk and stomped the ground, grunting with invigoration to battle. Dante couldn't help but be pleased to see his hold friend and said to Ted. "The name's Dante and I've got a lot more than just Charizard with me." It had been a while since he had been in a trainer battle, but Dante was ready. Like some things in life battling was something you never forget how to do. Deacon stepped back to watch the fight. He hadn't seen Dante use Donphan before and was interested to see how if the beast was as clumsy and slow as it looked. ![]() Level 34 68/68 vs ???? |

'I see. Charizard is powerful, but so looks that Donphan.' This guy was a little scary. The stern look on his face gave him the look of a drill instructor, but yet he was relatively nice. Maybe he is just one of those people that is misunderstood? Bah, who gives a monkeyshit, right? Haha! 'You are going for power, then so will I.' He motioned for his Fearow to step back a bit as he released his own pokemon. In a bright light emerged a Tauros. It, too, looked like an angry specimen, just as its owner. Dante's eyes grew wide the moment he saw the powerful Tauros emerge. "Cool." He mumbled. It had been years since he had seen such a Pokemon and this was the first time he ever met a trainer that trained one for matches. "Nice Pokemon." Dante turned to Donphan, the reliable beast almost an exact match to this brutish bull. These two titans would surely clash with incredible force. "You ready Donphan?" The elephant rose upon his hind legs and brought them down with mighty force. The ground quaked and Dante knew that his old friend was up to the task of taking down this trainer's Pokemon. Deacon watched, impressed by both Pokemon's stature. "Good, let's do this. Protect then follow up with Roll-Out!" Donphan nodded and prepared to block any and all sorts of advances made on him. This Tauros was powerful but nothing could get by Donphan's perfected Protect manuever. The memory of learning the ability made a brief appearance in the creature's mind and Dante's as well. It was always impressive to remember just how much history Dante and his Pokemon had with one another. Deacon folded his arms and sighed. "This should be pretty cool. I guess." The boy had something else on his mind. Just why wasn't he allowed to get a Pokemon for himself? <Protect then Roll Out>Level 34 68/68 ~Attack -1~ vs <Swagger then Horn Attack>Level 38 76/76 |

Because he is a dork? Ted was a veteran pokemon trainer, much like yourself. He heard your orders and knew that there was nothing that could be done to break through Protect. Tauros, however, should be able to withstand a Rollout attack without much trouble. 'Nice strategy to start with. I see you are worthy of your pokemon.' There was nothing Ted could do except watch his bull try to break through Protect, with little success. Bracing itself for Rollout, Tauros stood strong. Donphan rolled directly into the bull, simply bouncing off. The attack hadn't had time to build up in power... the next round wouldn't be so harmless. Seeing Donphan pull back for another go, Ted yelled out to his bull 'Again!' He was trying to execute the same attacks that were blocked before. ![]() level 34 68/68 *attack -1* *rolling 1/5* vs ![]() level 38 76/76 ~Swagger + Horn Attack~ |

"Okay..." Dante admired Ted, he could see that he really was a strong trainer. That of course just meant one thing. He would have to kick it up a notch. His eyes flashed to Donphan who remained rolling in place. "Alright, you know what to do." Experience and time. Both aspects were something Dante always worked on with his Pokemon. Helping them become experienced battlers so that none of them panic or deter in the middle of a fight. And time, time spent alongside one another to help them learn how both all of his Pokemon and himself could think as one. It was because of this that Dante had an ace up his sleeve. He didn't have to give commands verbally. Donphan was always an excellent Pokemon. With brute force and an amazing onslaught of dangerous attacks he was the definitive tank that Dante had trained. Against this Tauros however, brute force could only take you so long. There was no doubt in his mind that Donphan was the stronger of the two, but now cunning and swiftness would have to be brought into play. "Show 'em this time, boy!" Continuing to roll in place, picking up immense traction, Donphan managed to release a muffled cry. The plan was simple. He would roll directly at the giant bull for a head on collission. He would slam into his opponent, the Roll Out taking its toll and then something amazing was going to happen. Donphan was going to extended his sturdy ears in such a way that he would toss himself in the air, mid-roll. The Pokemon's eyes began to gleam, though hidden from view within his hide as he continued to roll. Once he was in the air he would come down upon Tauros with a powerful Slam attack. The combination wasn't anything grand but the elephant had done the manuever before and no one was ever expecting it. Deacon continued to watch on while Dante simply waited for his Pokemon to continue this heated dispute. <Roll Out then Slam> (Read the plan above)Level 34 68/68 ~Attack -1~ vs <Swagger then Horn Attack>Level 37 76/76 |

Yes, while Donphan had the experience of a veteran pokemon, so did Tauros. Ted knew how to pick his pokemon, and pick them wisely. Before Donphan reached the raging bull with its Rollout, Swagger hit, causing Donphan to become a bit confused with the current situation. Spinning and rolling didn't help it out much either. The miniature elephant began to slow in its rolling, attempting to regain its bearings while continue its attack. It failed. Tauros, seeing this as an opening, commenced in delivering its forceful Horn Attack. The bull charged forth, raging and stampeding like one naturally does, colliding with Donphan. The collision caused Donphan to come unrolled, and it now lay on the ground... dazed, confused, and a bit hurt all at the same time. 'Tauros, you've got it on the ropes. Use your Thrash... go wild!' Telling a mean, angry, pissed off Tauros to go wild was somehting that was a bit scary. ![]() ![]() level 34 50/68 *confused* *attack +1* vs ![]() ![]() level 37 71/76 (I forgot to subtract HP from the first rollout, sorry) ~Gettin' ready to Thrash~ |

Donphan grunted and heaved his massive trunk about, dizzily moving from side to side. Everything was spinning and it was easy to see that he had become incredibly confused after that last startling swagger from Tauros. This Pokemon matched his strength and had a fair bit of cunning added to the beast's abilities. Even still, Donphan wasn't willing to back down or give up. When two titans such as these clash, nothing but pride and brute force will determine a victor. And neither would be conceeding to the other. Dante stood, his arms folded as he contemplated what to do next. Confused, Donphan was a trainwreck just waiting to happen. At times such as this, there was little to be done but to try and coax his friend through it. "Donphan, snap out of it!" He grunted and let his hands dangle at his side as he stepped forward. If nothing else, it was time to get down and dirty with this battle. "Fight through and use Protect then Earthquake!" God, I hope this works. Dante eyed the opposing trainer, this young man named Ted. He was a good, strong trainer and this was setting up to be a very memorable battle. Deacon watched on, scratching the back of his neck. Man was he hot, sweating up a storm as he stood watching this fight. A part of him wanted to see Donphan fail. How funny would it be seeing a small elephant like that get hurt by its own confusion. Donphan struggled to break free of its confusion, but failed. His eyes glossed over, exemplifying that the Pokemon was indeed confused. It thrashed around crazily, but fortunately, did not harm himself in the process of frantic movement. The Pokemon then heard his master's orders and created a protective barrier to help prevent future attacks from his opponent, a seemingly insane bull. The "little shit" Ted chuckled. The Trainer ordered his Pokemon to thrash around again, hopefully damaging Donphan even more. However, his attempt was futile. Tauros struck Donphan's barrier and was unable to penetrate it. He bounced off of the barrier and landed on the ground, its eyes glossing over even further. They looked deathly similar to Donphan's eyes, but then they reverted to normal, and periodically switched over to the faded pupils. Donphan then burst his protective green barrier, which shattered in millions of tiny emerald shards. Then it leaped into the air and slammed into the ground hard, creating a massive earthquake that shattered the earth. Tauros sunk into the ground and immediately broke free in his rage. Both Pokemon anticipated attacks from their masters, all four eyes periodically switching over from normal to glossed. ![]() [Donphan] [Male] [Level 34] [50/68] [Status: Overzealous-ly Confused; Attack +2] ![]() [Tauros] [Male] [Level 38] [60/76] [Status: Used Thrash once; its eyes are glossed over] |

Dante had a glimmer of excitement in his eyes. "Thunder Fang, then Slam!" It wasn't everyday a battle like this erupted. Donphan nodded. The plan was simple, charge forward, both tusks electrified and ready to zap the rampaging bull. Then, after ramming and electrocuting the beast, Donphan would take his mighty trunk and slam it down upon his foe's skull, right between the mighty horns. The combination was of the close range variety and the one-two hits would surely be something memorable. Dante nodded at his opponent. Ted was quite the battler. "This is just gettin' started." In the back of his mind, Dante couldn't help but think that soon it would be over. A strong wind blew by and Deacon wiped the hair from his eyes. Dammit, when the hell am I gonna get me a Pokemon. He watched the battle, itching for a chance to battle like this. If he could he would've went into the future and skipped everything just to be old and strong enough to battle like Dante and this guy. "Dante!" The boy called out. "Come on, lemme borrow Donphan and beat this guy and his gender-confused cow." Dante scowled and glared at his young follower. He didn't need to speak words, the message was clear. Almost simulateously, the two pokemon broke their hypnotic state, and they became level headed. The two pokemon were a match for one another, matching the opponent in almost every possible way. 'You are a lot better than I thought you would be. You would do well to know that Tauros has never been beaten in battle. Ever. You have a chnce to be the first...' The boy stopped. He had already spent too much time talking, and not enough time formulating his plan. Hearing your commands of a Thunder Fang, he knew that something had to be done. Thunder Fang was a dangerous attack. Ted's eyes grew bigger. He had thought of something that would turn the battle in his favor, apparently. 'Tauros, wait. Withstand its attack. Use a Payback when the time is right!' His massive pokemon snorted and braced itself for the oncoming pokemon. Donphan was charging all the while towards Tauros, rumbling the earth beneath him. When it was close enough, Donphan lept into the air and collided with Tauros. Even considering Tauros' massive size, the attack was strong enough to send it to the ground. Ted cringed and made a funny face. It was clear he wasn't expecting this. 'NOW! Now use your payback!' Tauros rolled to the side when Donphan attempted to carry out the second part of his attack, and used its body as a ram. The two beasts collided and both were hurt by the attack. A cloud of smoke and dirt rose into the air, momentarily clouding the field of battle. Through the smoke, the two pokemon could be seen, glaring at one another, both seemingly spent. ![]() ![]() level 34 20/68 vs ![]() ![]() level 38 45/76 |

Dante cracked his neck, his eyes locked on his target. This Tauros was definitely going to feel what was coming next. "Donphan! Protect." The mighty elephant nodded and prepared to defend itself from any and all attacks made by the opposing Pokemon. Grunting and stomping fiercely, the beast knew all too well that there was more to this strategy. Dante's scowl deepened. It was time to pull of the strongest attack he had in his arsenal. "Then use Giga Attack!" The command was given and both readied to watch exactly how this battle unfolded. From afar, Deacon watched on anticipating this match to get over with quickly. For some strange reason he was beginning to get the feeling that he was being watched. Glancing back over his shoulder, the boy tried to spot anyone who may be around. Donphan created an invisible barrier that shielded the elephant from future attacks from Tauros, then began to roll around in circles frantically. The confusion seemed to affect him very much, but immediately thereafter, he regained composure and literally shook off his confusion. Storming in, running as fast as he could, his trunk flailing up and down in the air, and his tusks aiming dead center on the tough bull, Donphan was in the midst of performing a Giga Attack. "Tauros, hold steady! Be prepared for anything!" Ted ordered. Tauros dug his feet into the ground, obeying his master's orders, and, anticipating Donphan's attack, lowered his head and body, waiting to lift the massive creature with his great strength. Donphan continued storming the battlefield, ready to slam into Tauros with his Giga Attack; Tauros anticipating the attack, as well. Ted and Dante stared into each other's eyes with fierce determination and pride. They both wanted to ensure a clutch victory. Donphan bowed his head and slammed into the raging bull with the massive cranium and, using his tusks, slashed the bull in the neck, causing much bleeding. Tauros collapsed to the ground. Ted ran to his creature and consoled it. "Tauros!" he panicked. He held the bull's head in his hands and stroked the Pokemon's hide delicately. He slowly moved to the cut on the Pokemon. Tauros began to wince at the sight of the hand and felt a sharp, shooting pain through his body that was even worse than before. Tauros reared his head into his Trainer, and managed to send him flying. Donphan stood by his trainer, looking proud as he very much damaged his foe. He smiled and performed a little dance. Tauros, due to a technicality, fainted. Ted, tears forming in his eyes, recalled Tauros in a beam of red light and looked away from Dante. Left on the ground were small blue particles that were the same color as an aura that surrounded Donphan. The particles zoomed toward the elephant and the Pokemon absorbed the blue moonlit shards. It gained 1.1 experience points. Ted unclipped another Poke Ball from his belt, and emerging in a flash of white light was a brown-feathered bird that crowed loudly, intimidating Donphan a bit, but the Pokemon stood strong. *Falthor, this battle is supposed to be over after one pokemon faints. Although your mod was obviously painstaking, I have to end this a bit differently, as per the original battle rules.* Donphanm began the round by creating its Protect. Thus, No matter what Tauros did, it would be useless... it was a sitting duck... err, bull. 'Break its protect. Use your own Giga Attack!' Break down a Protect? The whole strategy sounded a bit ridiculous. But, ted seemed to be a rather intelligent trainer. Maybe there was a way... Donphan began charging, as did Tauros. The two bohemoths collided in the middle of the battlefield, both of them fighting off confusion. In a cloud of smoke, the two formed one massively loud crash noise, a bit like a car wreck. It took a bit of time, but the smoke gradually cleared. The two trainers stood there. Silent. Tauros was laying on the ground. Donphan was laying on the ground, but leaning on its front right foot, wincing as if it was trying to hold off pain. Slowly, it rose to its feet, stumbling a groggy all the while. Tauros simply laid there, unable to do much of anything. Ted knew the battle was over, as he returned his downed pokemon. 'Congratulations. I must admit that I underestimated you and your Donphan.' This Ted fellow was a standup fella. 'I would much like to continue our battle, but I have pressing matters I must tend to.' Ted released his gigantic Fearow and readied him for departure. 'Oh, before I forget. I have a poketech that you can contact me on, whether it be for a battle, if you are in trouble, or just someone to talk to. I will probably find you before you find me.' ~~~~~ 1.5 for Donphan.+3 for pulling out the win.*You can continue to RP here with him if you wish, or you can keep going, whichever. I will gladly keep going with him if you wish. ANywho, you can contact him to battle wherever you are (he flies around on Fearow), or if you need help with something or other. He is a pretty good guy to know. His pokemon he uses for the moast part are listed in the forefront of the battle if you use him in a freeform. Dante sat around the fire, nestled comfortably against the massive stomach of his newest Pokemon, Snorlax. The behemoth lay sleeping peacefully, a deep rumbling snore echoing throughout the air. It had been some time since Ted left upon his Fearow. After that match Dante took it upon himself to make up camp for the night. He deserved a rest. For now anyways. Deacon couldn't sleep, let alone close his eyes. For some reason, his paranoia had gotten the best of him. All day he had been getting the feeling that he had been being followed. As if someone was watching him and Dante. Despite all attempts to warn Dante about the possible intruder, Deacon was ignored and disregarded. It was the price to pay; after being so trecherous in the past it was only common sense for Dante not to take him seriously. Ecspecially when there was no proof. Watching the flames dance about, Deacon's heard something in the distance. Or so he thought. Quickly glancing around, keeping quiet though feeling his heart stop, he checked for any incoming danger. From across the campfire, Dante watched. Deacon caught sight of this and didn't know that someone's eyes could roll back as far as Dante's did as he sighed. "Kid, go to sleep." Deacon felt a wave of cold pass by, even with the fire so near. He folded his arms and laid back on his sleeping back. Rolling over he cradled himself and watched the darkness a few yards away. If Dante wasn't going to believe him then there was no point in talking. Still...Deacon couldn't help it. Something was out there. He just knew it. After some time of private thoughts and paranoid startles, the two accompanied Snorlax in a deep slumber. When the sun finally rose, Dante awoke to find that Deacon had not slept well for more than an hour. Grumpy and still worried, the boy sat upon Charizard's back, waiting for Dante to mount the dragon so they could continue on their journey towards Radloff. The dragon gave a sharp growl and Dante finished up returning Snorlax and putting out the campfire. Once all was done, he climbed onto his oldest Pokemon and sat comfortably in his saddle. "You ready to go?" "Yeah! Let's just get outta here." Dante turned and gave Deacon a sharp glance. "I was talking to Charizard..." Deacon kept quiet and turned to look the other way in shame. With a mighty roar, Charizard answered his trainer and took to the sky. Flying low to the ground, the distance towards their destination was speedily decreasing. Still, there was no telling how long it would take or what the two would run into in the meantime. And of course, just what had been following them all. If anything? (0.5 genEXP) As luck would have it there was nothing following you. However, if you had looked ahead of you you may have been able to spot the pokemon that was jumping into the air. Your Charizard gave a confused growl before trying to turn, however the face was soon latched onto by a stunning pig monkey pokemon. The fighting type let out a mighty "MAAAANKEEEEY!" Before beginning to pound the face of the dragon relentlessly, eyes dazed with rage. Just what was with this crazy primeate? Was it hungry? Was it jealous that Charizard had a trainer? Nah...you had just come flying along when it was in a bad mood. If memory serves...these pokemon are ALWAYS angry about something. It makes you go to believe that maybe...they're emo. And this one had it's scruffy fur actually combed over one of it's eyes as it pounded it's fist into your Charizard's face, straddling the long muzzle of the dragon so that it could get flamethrower'd. Better think of something or else Charizard just may take a dive. ![]() Level 38 76/76 ![]() -Pissed off and beating the $|-|17 out of Charizard- |

The Mankey's startling appearance did nothing short of giving Deacon a heart-attack. The young boy quickly grabbed hold of Dante's shoulders and pulled back with all his might. Knocking the older man off balance, Dante and the boy both slid off of Charizard's saddle. The dragon's eyes glanced back in exasperation as his beloved master and comrade fell. Dante cursed furiously as he hit the ground. SNAP! Falling awkwardly on his right shoulder from at least ten feet in the air, Dante tumbled and rolled in a fit. The agony in his arm was numbed by the scrapes and cuts on the rest of his body as he slid to a halt upon the earth. Wincing and rolling about, he caught sight of Deacon who lay just a few yards away, motionless. Charizard gave a furious roar and landed instantly; slamming his massive girth upon the ground. The small furious Mankey sensed something terrible and quickly leapt from the dragon's face. Running away, scared, the small fiend was gone from sight. Dante used every ounce of his strength to sit up, let alone get to his feet. His right shoulder was dislocated; he knew it without a doubt. Wiping the dirt and blood from a cut on his cheek, the young man looked over at Deacon. The nine year old lay still in the grass, lying face down. Charizard gave a deep growl though unusual than normal. This tone was that of pitty. Dante used his good arm to grab hold of his Pokemon and pull himself to his feet. Cursing, he approached the kid; fearing the worst though unable to believe it. "What the hell was that about, kid?" Dante stumbled, closing the distance between him and his friend. Breathing heavily, he shook his head; none of the terrible thoughts going on in his mind were true. It didn't matter that he didn't see how the kid hit the ground, it didn't mean a thing that the kid wasn't moving. None of these things mattered to the man who feared the small child he was looking after may be dead. Falling to his knees, Dante looked down at the boy, his own right awrm dangling at his side. Grinding his teeth, Dante didn't know which pain was causing him to tear. The physical pain or the emotional. "Kid...get up now." His left hand reached out and felt the soft blonde hair on the child's still head. The grass and dirt fell from the strands and Dante retracted his hand in fear of hurting him more. "Kid? Get up." Charizard stood back. The mighty dragon sensed something was wrong, something dreadful. Dante looked at the boy for what seemed like an eternity before he found the courage to move the body. Gently, he turned the limp figure over on his back, making sure not to harm his neck. It was now that a wave of relief came crashing over the man. There was a severe bump and bruise on the kid's forehead, right near the left temple. Cupping a shaking hand over the young boy's mouth and nose, Dante felt the hot air from his breathing. He was unconcious. Dante got to his feet at once and turned to Charizard. "He's not dead." The words came with worried delight. "But he's knocked out. I don't know if he'll be okay. We need to get him to a hospital, fast." Charizard nodded and approached Deacon. Using his long arms, the dragon lifted the boy up and cradled him in his arms. Dante nodded at his old friend and with severe trouble, used only his left arm to climb up onto the saddle. Once he was seated, he wrapped the reins around his left wrist so that he could be secure. The pain was shooting throughout his shoulder with even the slightest movement and the very moment that he told Charizard to take off, the motion caused the man to scream in agony. Wounded in more ways than one, Dante and his friends desperately seek to reach the city of Radloff. Or the nearest place to heal and rest. .2, mainly because, even though thats what Mankey woudl have probably done, you godmodded the poor fella. So... don't do that anymore. K, thanx. Oh... the nearest place to heal and rest would be Moorefeldt, not Radloff. Flying about, the massive red lizard type thing flew erratically towards the town surrounded by farm crops. Fly, fly, fly, and more flying. It was all a bit boring, aside from the pain of your shoulder, and the image of a limp body in the arms of your Charizard. Then... nothing. Charizard stopped flying. Instead, it just hovered there, unwavering. Not because it didn't want to move, but because it couldn't. Why? Maybe that Girafarig has something to do with it? ![]() ![]() level 35 70/70 *holding Charizard in place with psychic powers* |

0.1 Dante sat, clutching the excruciating limb that pulsed agonizingly with every passing second. The tendons felt like they were tearing and with Charizard frozen in motion, the man was left sitting and contemplating what he did to deserve all of this. Come off it. Looking down a few yards away stood a Girafarig of decent size and stature. Dante's brow raised in admiration but in all honesty, he didn't have any intent of battling at the moment. The life of a child; whom he was given custody of, dangle in the balance of his ability to find help. Doubting it very much that this seemingly wild Pokemon could or would provide some kind of assistance, Dante wasn't in the most polite of moods. Mixed with exhaustion and pain, his motor skills were dwindling. "Can...you help us?" He eyed the Pokemon. It had been so long since he had any real need of any stranger but it was now or never. Being a Psychic Pokemon, Girafarig was much more intellectual than most. Having some of his own, Dante focused on the events that had taken place recently that had left him and young Deacon in the perdicament they now lived in. He hoped with all his might that the damned thing would be of some help. Oh how he hoped. All the while Charizard's fierce eyes turned to the creature. He too asked for any and all kinds of help. ![]() Level 35 70/70 |

(Its good, .3 :gexp) What a situation this was. The male Girafarig turned it's head at you, his eyes locking with yours. For a moment he seemed willing to help, then his eyes narrowed and he let out a low growl at you. Asking for help while mounted upon a create that would eat a Girafarig for breakfast was working against your favor. Not so tough after all... Without any warning, you were lifted out of your seat and an unmovable forced shifted your body right towards the earth - at an alarming speed. At the last moment your body came to a sudden halt and you were hovering barely a centimeter above the ground - the grip on Charizard had not loosened. Silence ensued as the Girafig stared at you impassively, softly breathing, his eyes unwavering. Thud. The sound of footsteps suddenly reached your ears and moments later a young boy came into the area, an Alakzam behind him. The Girafarig wasn't holding Charizard in place, obviously she was. The boy came at an halt in front of you and frowned. Now you could properly see him you noted that he was about your own height. But that wasn't the most curious part of him - his eyes were a bright piercing sapphire blue and gave you the feeling like he was stripping your soul clean of its darkest secrets. The boy was bald and a rather pale skin, hidden behind a set of orange robes that covered everything, but his hands and head - an odd sight indeed. This is a predicament isn't it trainer? You are stuck here, with no way to summon help. Were you intending to hurt my pokemon, he is in distress. The boy hadn't moved his lips, but his voice echoed in your mind. The soft calm voice was the one of a telepathic... Were you intending to hurt someone Trainer? Answer me. ----- ???? (0.2) Oh, fuck me. Dante's face was turning red; not from the crippling pain in his dislocated shoulder, but because some sort of invisible force held his body just centimeters above the ground, the blood rushing to his face. Straining, he winced as he attempted to move his neck up to better see the bald man before him. A disgruntled gasp escaping his gaping mouth, Dante couldn't believe his own luck. "Well. This is awkward." He struggled to keep from crying out in pain; a few exasperated coughs escaping. Staring intensely at the Alakazam and the Girafarig, Dante knew he was in trouble. Psychic Pokemon were trouble. And this guy didn't seem to be too intent on helping him. As the thoughts pierced his mind, Dante was instantly brought back to the days of his youth. During his travels he had encountered many people whose brains were so developed that they had as much control of the psychy as some Pokemon. This telepath however was able to use telekineses, a pretty useful trick that if focused could devestate most men and women. Judging by his garbs though, this man was more a monk than anything else. Grumbling, Dante spoke with his mouth; the pain was clouding most of his thoughts, "You're a terrible mind-reader." Agitated, Dante knew he was at the mercy of this man and had little strength to fight back. The long brown hair upon his head that had remained uncut for so long dangled around his face from gravity. "Am I going to hurt your Pokemon? Give me a break..." Dante used all his strength to try and move, finally doing so enough to crack his necka nd release some pressure. "...look at the kid in Charizard's arms." Closing his eyes tightly, Dante used all his mental and phsycial training to calm himself and clear his mind. It wasn't easy. With the pain in his shoulder and the panic of getting Deacon help, it took almost a minute, longer than usual. Once his mind was relaxed, Dante focused on remembering all that had transpired to put them in such a perdicament. The mankey attacking Charizard without warning... Deacon and himself being thrown from the dragon's saddle... Dante's shoulder getting dislocated from the fall... Deacon knocked unconcious... The images were clear and Dante opened his eyes, glaring furiously at the monk. Slowly, his very eyes began to gloss over from the strain of emotion. He needed to get Deacon medical attention. It was up to him to look after the boy. His sister had died because of him when he was little, he would not let the same thing happen to Deacon. Not now. Not ever. ![]() Level 35 70/70 ![]() Level ?? ??/?? |

(0.4 :gexp) "It be rude to intrude on another's mind without their willingness to share." He remained calm, as if unaltered by your words - an ever sense of calamity remaining. As an eerie silence came upon you two, he closed his eyes and became still. His eyes flickered once and he winced but he remained still all the same. He opened his eyes and gazed at you. "Your thoughts prove to be alarming Dante, in fact I can see that you have been a righteous man at times. But perhaps it is your lust of battle, that is causing your trouble. You ride a fearsome pokemon, many pokemon fear him. That Mankey was most likely feared and struck you more out of fear then anything else." He paused and nodded to Girafig and Alakazam - you were put upon the ground and Charizard was released. He paused and silence again filled the area. "We shall have a three on three battle." "If you win, You'll get to see Deacon again." With saying that, he nodded to the Alakazam. Who within a flash teleported him and the child away, leaving you and the trainer behind. "Stakes are on Dante, you have him on the line and you are fighting a trainer that can predict your moves before you think them. Ironic isn't it? "Pick your first pokemon and Good luck! ((OOC: I have no intention in this being a storyline, so Alakazam has transported the kid to Radloff to be healed in the center. Was Dante to fail to beat the foe, the foe will explain where he will find Deacon. NPC stuff in NPC registery soon)) |
