Kirin the Bloodedge

You must learn to cultivate calmness, my son. Those were the last words Elijah Morvante had heard from his father, five years ago. At that moment, he had left the home that he shared with his parents in Rose Town, knowing that he would never want to return there again if he had the choice. Oh, how he had clashed with his father on every single topic matter he could think ofand how pointless all of it eventually turned out to be. The way he had fought with that man both physically and mentally, as it was turned out to be one of the most pointless things he had ever done in his life, and almost a week after he had left, regret was the only emotion that filled him. Naturally, he was still in contact with his mother, but he had moved far away enough from Rose Town that they would not be able to physically see him. No, he wallowed in that shame, but he could not stay there for too long. Instead, he had decided to live a life alone from those parents, in picturesque Little Hillmoss Town. It allowed Elijah to at least try to find the calmness that his father had told him to seek, by the Sunstream River, and amidst those parks and fountains for which the village was famous. A good portion of those attempts had been fruitless; in fact, they all had been fruitless, which only served to further the impetus of the idea to which Elijah had now begun to cling to. Much like his father, ironically, he was a martial artist, though his practise was slowly sliding into decay and disuse. The core of the martial arts that Elijah practised was to be at perfect calm thus rendering the young man to a lower caste of training than his father. However, he learned at his pace, in his way; now, he could practise in his own time, on his terms, and at his own leisure. But yet, there was something missing from that life of solitude in that tiny one-roomed building he called a home. While Elijah might have not wished to live with his parents, he yet found himself wishing he had a companion. Not a female companion there were times that even he did not want or need a member of the opposite gender about, to cause distraction. No, a Pokemon would be good for what he needed all the companionship that was needed, without too much hassle. That, and it would have done him some good to have something else to keep him distracted from memories. Maybe he would learn how far his calmness really could go from all of this. It had to be done. Naturally, Elijahs inquisitive mind took him places, so that he might understand. Research upon research into Pokemon, or at least enough to get him started. Enough to know exactly what he wanted, and how to obtain it. That was all he needed to get started, really, so that was the end of the decision. He would start a Pokemon journey, at the age of twenty-four. No, he did not consider himself too old to do so itd be great exercise, all that walking to practically everywhere he needed to go. A snap decision one week before Elijah was scheduled to leave made him call his mother so that she might know. Oh, hey, Momso you know, Ill be heading out on a Pokemon journey soon. I might consider stopping in at Rose Town to say hello. Oh, lovelyIll send something along to help your journey, okay? Sure. No more was spoken, of course. His contact, even with his mother, was terse and brief at the best of times, though it was somewhat frequent as of late. It meant that things like this happened little care packages that could be ultimately useful in the end. Oh, but how this would go. A small backpack for Elijah, at least was prepared, filled with enough clothes and food to last him a few weeks before he needed to re-stock. That was all he wanted, and needed. The rest would fall into place eventually, and Elijah knew he could go from there in the end. Yet, moments before he was scheduled to leave, a package arrived for Elijah, but he did not open it as he slipped out the doorway, cradling that brown paper-wrapped object tightly, feeling a large number of objects within it that might have been useful for the journey he was about to embark on. No, it was not quite necessary to open yet. He could open it while he was walking towards the Lab, which so happened to be his next destination. His mind was made, and that was that. No longer would he slide into the apathy and lax nature he so seemed to be indulging in lately. No he had a purpose, and he had to attain it. But first |

The package, should elijah have cared to read it before leaving, would have suprisingly lack a return address, something that care packages from his mother had always had... infact the one who sent the package would remain a secret. Inside the package would be a poketech, up to date and ready for a journey, an escape rope with three charges, and 4000 zenni. |
