The Lost Soul
|
The rattling of garbage cans and trash falling to the floor could be heard from a nearby alleyway. A woman, standing about 5'6" was rummaging through random garbage cans searching for food, clothing, and whatever else she could find that would be of use. The scents of Little Hillmoss Town made her stomach growl. The air was filled with fragrances and the delicious smell of food. She hadn't eaten in days, and hunger had set in. Making her way from alley to dumpster, and back again, she scoured the area for any scraps. Usually the best place to look for spare food was behind shops or restaurants. However, they had noticed her hanging around their building, asking people for change and food. Scaring away their customers, The woman was now kept away from these places by the town's police officers. They were a mean bunch of law enforcement people. If they were in her shoes, maybe they wouldn't be so harsh. Her name was Angelina, or so she was told growing up. She had began to call herself Angie due to her real name being too long to say. Ever since she was a child, she had been homelsss. Her mother and father tried to provide for her the best way they could. They both showed her the ins and outs of the town so she would know her way around. When they died of sickness a few winters ago, she was left to fend for herself. In actuality, it had been several years since their passing. In her mind though, Angie always thought of it as a short time ago. It was her way of keeping them alive. She was having rotten luck today, and all of the previous week. There had been an abundance of new people seen in town. This would normally prove beneficial, but they were all children, most of them younger than herself. She would feel uncomfortable asking kids for money and food. They looked to be travelers, and likely needed all that they could get. It was a shame kids were being let out on their own so young. Life was harsh withotu the ones you love. Still, kids had to learn sometime. While doing her rounds just before her parents died, Angie had come across some clothing in a garbage can. They were rags, but they accomplished the purpose of clothing. They covered her body and kept her warm during the cold times. They had holes in random areas, but nothing she hadn't learned to live with. To this day, she still had the rags. She had grown rather attached to them, even though they were not all that great. I guess you could say that they reminded her of her parents. At any rate, since then, she hadn't found anything better to wear. So, for now, she wa sstuck with them, like it or not. The town was bustling with new people. People that in all of her life she had never seen before. Angie had stayed in hillmoss Town for most of her life, occasionally venturing out into the field in the summertime. The bushes and shrubbery provided berries sometimes, and the pond nearby was sometimes good for bathing and catching fish. They were still scarce though. Even the common Magikarp was hard to find around the town. All in all, it was a bad place to grow up without a family and a home. While searching in a dumpster, she overheard some people arguing. There were two voices, one male and one female. The male voice sounded immature, maybe a child. The female one was rather deep, possibly an older woman. Angie snuck about to see what was going on. To her suspection, a young boy was standing next to an older woman. She had his arm in her grasp, gripping it rather forcefully. She as yelling something about comign home, and pokemon are for grown ups... something along those lines. Angie had come across a few pokemon in her lifetime, but she didn't really know much about them. Magikarp was a common sight for her when fishing, and the occasional meowth could be seen during warmer weather, searching the garbage with her. The boy was holding a bag of some kind that the woman snatched away from him. She threw it down the alleyway, and it landed on the top of a pile of garbage just behind Professor Willows Laboratory. The woman commenced in dragging him down the street, the boy kickign and screaming all the while. Slowly Angie made her way to the thrown bag. She wanted to make sure the people were gone before she inspected it and its contents. She hoped to find food, and maybe a littl emoney in the bag. However, in her current position, anything was welcomed. |

Reach for the stars, and you'll hit the roof.

*Even though you stole my idea for the homeless character, I liked it.* Inside the bag was 4,8oo zenni, along with an Escape Rope with 3 charges, along with a Poketech. |
