XanAuraArtemisVorevasHwajeh. That seems like all of us. Good work team. The five elemental beings stood in a row before the lavender blond girl expectantly while she fiddled with a complicated device in her hands. Before her was her bag, empty with its contents scattered before her in the grass. She suspected she was missing a few things, most notably her favorite pistols that served as her main means of self-defense, and that her Pokenav had been replaced with some highly-advanced doohickey called a Poketech. After making sure that everyone and everything had been accounted for, proceeded with the intricate process of extracting information from the device. Confounded flim-flam she muttered, pushing on buttons and bringing up various menus. Her trainer I.D. was still there; apparently Celebi had been thorough enough to integrate her information into this worlds system. She fiddled around a few more minutes, finding a cellphone function, notepads, calculators even coinflippers what the hell- until finally succeeding in bringing a map up. Now, thats more like it. Her emerald eyes hovered over the screen carefully. Opaddeka, huh? she muttered, reading the region name and determining their location from the nearest town. Apparently, they were at a location that was in close proximity to two areas: a desert and a desolate area. Some farmlands were nearby as well, and a town if she decided to cross the fields. Decisions But was there a point? Not like there was anyplace she planned to go to anymore. Legacy, as far as she knew, was dead. And in order for the lives of those corrupted by the Kings poison to live on, Celebi had to transport them into thisparallel dimension that looked a lot like her own world but was probably more crazier than the last. What more could she do now? She looked at her comrades, searching for an answer amongst them. These fivewere the only ones she had left now. Survive, she said quietly, standing. Lets just surviveand figure out where to go from here. She walked up to Artemis and hefted herself atop her sturdy frame. She took one more glance at the Poketech and pointed Eastward. Lets go Artemisguys. |

Before you could take more than five steps, you come across a small blue rodent, the little thing was chewing on an acorn. But, what exactly was it? It looked sort of like a Pikachu, but it wasn't? And then, it noticed you, turning its head, revealing that adorable little face. "Risu?" It didn't seem to be afraid of you, or the horde of Pokmon traveling behind you. Yep, the little thing went back to gnawing on the acorn, trying to get its fill before going home for the night. What ever shall you do with it!? Hold up team! The congregation came to an abrupt stop at the trainers request. Nimbly, she jumped off her ride and landed with a muffled thud to the sandy ground. Emerald eyes lifted beneath lavender bangs to observe the odd creatures before her. She was honestly sure shed never seen anything like it before. Some sort of squirrel-type thing, predominantly white in color with bluish markings and yellow cheeks. Somehow it reminded her of some fucked-up Minun, and she had to tilt her head from every angle to ascertain it wasnt. Behind her, a hush fell to the group, waiting for the trainers verdict. Hmmmaybe it was time to use the Pokedex. Shed prided herself in knowing just enough about Pokemon to never use it. But obviously she was in another world and that other world held Pokemon her own didnt even know about. Or maybe it did. She aimed the scanner at the rodent. Pokemon entry not found. Figures. Well, lets just say this was an opportunity for her to try her field research techniques. After all, shed known too much about Pokemon to be interested in anything other than battling. She took an old, ratted notebook from her bag and a pen and settled flat in the grass before the creature, watching intently. And cringing at the gritty feel of the soil. The area was thinning to a desert. Somehow the great expanse of sand was what she eventually needed to overcome. With Artemis behind her, that shouldnt be too difficult. Butif creatures like this existed, she dreaded other she had no idea about that made the wasteland their home. Would she be even prepared for it? Nice Pokemon, she murmured, inching closer. Hey, it was sorta cute for a rodent. Now that she thought about it, it kind of resembled a Pikachu. And a Minun. And a Plusle. They were all electric types. It hadnt occurred to her if maybe this thing was too as she reached out to poke it with the end of her ballpen. ((In corner of dry grass area 2, heading for Open Space 1 in the desert)) |

"Rissu!" With only inches between you and it, the small rodent looked at you, its eyes widening in fear as it leaped away a good five feet. Its body started to crackle with electricity as it arched its back in a very defensive manner. Yipe! Jemilie exclaimed, feeling the hairs on her arms prickle from the discharge of the little rodent which she thankfully found out the safe way- was an electric type. She should have known! The blue sparks flaring from its cheeks couldnt have been a good sign that they were establishing a mutual understanding. Well, if someone was trying to poke her with a ballpen, shed bite, too. The drone of her Pokemon flaring up to life behind her warned her that they were prepared to attack as well, and Jemilie found being caught in the crossfire between battling Pokemon was low on the top ten things shed like to do. Quiet, all of you! she ordered sternly, and the group obeyed unquestioningly. Her hand flipped and motioned to the squeaky white thing. Hwajeh, take care of it. It was an electric type, and she unfortunately didnt have the one Pokemon in her roster that was powerful enough to defeat an electric Pokemon. Fire was the next best thing, the heat from the flames that could refract electricity and render it near-harmless. But only if Hwajeh was fast enough. The fire lizard bounded forward, long tail trailing like a fiery ribbon behind his eager form, while aquamarine voids observed the little Opadekka Pokemon with much challenge. Claws hung from his form in wicked hooks; obviously sitably designed to rip apart flesh as easily as paper. But why fight the caveman way when he had the power of fire on his side. Trap it Hwajeh! Jemilie ordered, and the red flames building in his maw quickly spurt out, shaping, forming a long ribbon-like appendage that conformed itself around the electric type, designed to ensnare and burn at the same time. Beneath their feat, the already parched grass dissipated into ashes. Gathering all the energy it's little body could contain, the little pokemon finally swept into action - moments before Hwajeh could follow your instructions with the Fire Spin. The Spark attack sent the Charmeleon staggering back, completely electrified and with a stoned expression in his face, but he was -not- paralyzed - and as soon as he had overcome the initial shock of the attack, he released a roar of flame that formed into a ring, catching the electric-type pokemon inside it. The Pachirisu had just regained it's breath after the Charge attack, and suddenly to it's horror found flames licking against it's fur, causing fire damage. The pokemon released a shrill shierk and tried it's best to keep itself in the middle of the flame circle - but it was trapped. The only way out of it's predicament, would be right through the roaring inferno. Hwajeh stomped back on his legs, rubbing the place were the static attack made contact with skin. It tingled, and he rubbed it furiously before returning his attention to his foe, seeing the little electric thingy caught in his fire cyclone. Jemilie seemed to calm down a bit, seeing the little critter properly contained and limited of attack options. She nodded for the fire Pokemon to proceed and Hwajeh leaped forward, a sharp intake of breath followed by a massive stream of fire flowing from deep within his insides, launched in full force as far as his lungs would allow. He kept hurling fire forward even as it slowed and eventually came out as black exhaust, clouding the field around the trapped rodent in a thick smoke. No one said dragon breath was pleasant either, and Jemilie took a few steps back, fanning away the fumes with the notebook. The small blue and white pokemon shrieked as it tried to leap to the side, only to be met with the walls of the firespin, leaving it with nowhere to run as it was doused in the fiery blast and then coated in a noxious smog as it coughed and clenched its eyes. It body began to spark then as it squealed out, holding out its hands as it began to fire off starshaped swift attack, the multiple star shapes spinning out of the firespin and slamming into the Charmeleon, even as the ambient flames of the firespin continued to torch the small pokemon. Start this gameIll end it. Heads up, Hwajeh, she called, an orb appearing in her palm while the last of the Charmeleons smoke exited his maw. Obediently, he moved to one side as the girl aimed the large Pokeball at the rapidly-spinning twister, the little chipmunk thing coughing on the smoke and the stench of its fur rising to ashes. It wasnt a state Jemilie particularly would have liked to be in herself, and seeing as she was the one that brought it upon the strange creature made her feelwell, guilty. But that was how the world of Pokemon training went. If it was so easy to talk and coax Pokemon into one non-violent chat, that would have been swell, but that was apparently not the way how things were meant to run. By force, attack now, and ask questions later, to save the pain and regrets that would undoubtedly follow through if she let her more passive nature run her life. As it was, she only learned her lessons until she was hurt again. And now she was the one doing the hurting. The fire storm raged on around the electric Pokemon, and she aimed for the largest gap she could find. Not that the fire twister was a hindrance, to the balls capturing mechanism, but she wanted a good clean hit, and with the thing preoccupied with the fury of the fires, she could capture it unawares. The black and gold ball went sailing, a more powerful version that the trademarked red and white orbs that probably would have done a job just as sufficiently. But Jem was never one to underestimate. ![]() Vs Pachirisu LV 24 27/48-Fire Spin:2 |

The small blue and white pokemon felt the flames continuing to press on, singing at its fur as it tried to find a way out of the vortex before it looked up, seeing the large pokeball fly over its head and suddenly open up, drawing it inside. It fought, the ball wobbeling side to side as the pachirisu tried to escape the pokeball.. but it was weakened, and the smoke inhalation had caused it to grow faint. Soon it simply gave up. However the flames still surrounded it and the pokeball was hidden in the billowing black smoke as the flames scorched on, charring the surface of the ball and causing the paint scheme of it to begin to char and peel slightly... it would be one hot pokeball by the time the flames died down... but. You caught Pachirisu, is that okay? [Episode reference] |

Jemilie waited for the fires to die down before approaching the orb. As expected, the little creature succumbed to the Pokeball, and she grinned in triumph. Seemed like forever since she had such a powerful feeling. Maybe because it had been ages since she attempted to catch anything. She had no idea what the Pokemons capabilities were, but she would, in due time. Expectantly, she waited for the Pokeballs to vanish, which it eventually did. Celebi, youre a career-saver, she murmured. The Pokemon PC system was still working. That meant her registration mustve carried over as well, and hopefully the rest of her possessions shed stored away in the PC. According to the map, the nearest town would be in the desert, and soon as she found that, would stampede over to the nearest Pokemon Center for the let-down in this strange place. For now, just surviving with all these odd creatures was hard-enough work. Fingers to her lips, she whistled for the rest, and they stomped forward in their odd procession towards the barren fields. Hwajeh grunted, claws still rubbing the area burnt by the electric shock. Would you like to rest? she asked, although why she had to ask was beyond her to fathom. The lizard was entitled to a choice, and he was in good-enough form to decide for himself, but she didnt want to make this journey laborious on him as well. She had no idea if this place even had a Pokemon Center, let alone sell the supplies she needed. She had to make due with her limited wares, and that meant keeping her Pokemon in top shape without them. Hwajeh shook his head and gave a sort of lizardy grin at her. Automatically, it was return, but disappeared; a brief acknowledgement. She loved her little Pokemon to bits, but somehow couldnt keep the feeling of closeness when it felt like her very existence was being reduced to tatters. The rush of capturing new pokemon, of find yourself facing off against the unknown... was this what it was like to be a new trainer again? The old dimension had become a bore, filled with the mundane and the familiar, now however there were new challenges to overcome and fresh obstacles to face, perhaps even others who could give out a fierce challenge! For now however the challenge would not come as the pokemon kept their distance, managing to avoid the trainer and her pokemon. It would take a while for the local fauna to drop their guard after the battle, which would mean a short respite from batteling, a chance for you to bond with your pokemon in the cool silence. |

The harshness of the sun seemed to intensify as the grasslands ended and the vast expanse of the desert began. An endless see of motionless caramel dusting the landscape as far as the eye could see, baking quietly beneath the ferocity of the midday sun. The air quivered in the horizon, and just the sight of it made the lavender blond exhausted. But theyve just barely begun to move! Now, do you guys wanna take a break? she asked to the smaller four. Artemis, she knew, wouldnt be as affected by the heat as any of them. As a beast of rock and steel elements, she was exceptionally versatile, and her deep blue eyes within the shadows of her sockets glared at the desert in challenge. Her other Pokemon, two birds, a cat, and a half-dragon, however, were not so powerfully built, and a hundred miles of journeying would tucker them out before she reached the distant town. Hey eyes drifted from the fire lizard to the two avians perched comfortably upon the Aggrons massive horns. Xan seemed to follow suit and clamored nimbly upon the massive steel beast, curling around a shoulder. Hwajeh, seemingly pumped with more energy than she thought anyone ought to be having in the face of a desert hell, chirped pleasantly and surged ahead, dust clouds lifting in his wake while powerful hind claws propelled him forward with all the vigor of a frisky kitten. Sighing lightly, she passed the others a defeated smirk. You just wont let me win, will you? Their eyes were response enough, and she gestured them to move ahead. -Left- ((Met said I completed the landmark in chat. <.<)) Reached: Thin Grass (Dustlands) Destination: Bloodaisy Village Egg Posts: 7/33 |
