"Well, isn't this place just a dream?" Emerald eyes gazed out across the fogged up marsh before him, water up to the ankles on his water proof boots. "I'm just glad my boots are water treated..." He shook his head before cautiously stepping further into the valley, trying to peer through the fog. He was hoping to finally train some of his weaker Pokémon in this new land, he could just tell that something was... different. But on the bright side, this was the perfect place for Totchi to move about, and his Lunatone would not be hindered by the conditions of the ground. But, Raku would have a hard time moving about, and Thrai may end up being slightly hindered. But, regardless of how things would turn out, Malak was out exploring these new lands, broke and no idea where he was going. Sounds like fun eh? Did I mention the sense of doom still emanating from the Orb he had gotten from the strange old man in the Valley of Bones? "THIS IS A CONSPIRACY! A FREAKIN' CONSPIRACY I TELL YA!" "Morana," I said, rubbing my temples, as the dark-type continued to screech as we walked through our new surroundings, "be a little quieter, would you? I think I hit my head on somethin'..." "You probably did, 'cause your actin' funny. Can't you see all this is some kind of freakin' conspiracy? One minute we were chasing after a psycho Paras, and now we're here, stuck in the middle of freakin' nowhere. This is like that twisted Wizard of Oz show -- the one with the flyin' monkeys. We ain't in Route 13 anymore." If that was true, I'd say that we should find those red shoes and go home. I rolled my eyes, rubbing the back of my head, feeling a very distinct bump where my skull had hit some kind of rock.. or some other hard blunt object. I couldn't remember how we got here, or what happened not long prior to our arrival. We had just been wondering around for what seems like a few hours now. "It's not a conspiracy, Morana." "It is !" she hisses, pounding her right fist into her left. "It's like The Matrix. Yanno, we wake up into the real reality." "This isn't a movie." I sighed. "If anything, it's a dream." Morana nods her head once. "Maybe." "Though my dreams usually don't have you in it." "'ey, Belle." "Hmm?" "Do your dreams usually have morons in them, too?" I paused, looking blearily at Morana, my head feeling like it was being pounded on by a hammer all the while. "What?" "'cause I think I can freakin' see Malak right over there." I followed her outstretched claw, eyes widening. She was right. It was Malak. At least, I thought it was. It looked like him. "Malak?" |

Slowly, the form before you turned around, short sleeve shirt and jean shorts suddenly turning into a full length black suit. "Who is this Malak you speak of, my name is Agent Smith." His words were calm and cold he he looked at you from behind those cheesy black sun glasses. And rather than green spiked hair, it was black, and slicked back in that typical government agent style. "I see you have found the Twilight Zone." It was taking all of Malak's will power to not burst into laughter, ideas flooding his mind. He had heard Morana rambling about old sci-fi movies, and just couldn't but have a little fun with her. "That is all I can tell you miss, mainly because I'd have to kill you." Yep, you heard him right... he used the whole 'I'f I told you, I'd have to kill you' line. Perhaps he was taking it a bit to far now, eh? He had to be joking. Morana wouldn't possibly fall for -- "See! I told you. It's The Matrix: Oppaddeka ." She folded her arms and assumed a strict pose. "Malak's freakin' Agent Smith..." she pauses, frowning. "Pity it had to be him though. Ash'd make a better Smith than Malak. Ash could kill people and not blink - Malak would shoot himself instead -- He shot himself last time, back in headquarters, remember?" All too well. Morana grins. |

"Man Morana... you're no fun..." Malak gave a sigh as his posture slumped over, and his whole outfit just sort of... fell apart. He was reduced back down to his regular clothes by Morana's cold insults, she just had to ruin his little joke didn't she? "So, you guys made it to... where ever this is." He stood up firm as his arms swept around the fog filled marsh in one fluid movement. "The only thing I know is that this isn't Legacy, and Celebi saved all our asses." His eyes grew sad at the mention of Celebi's name... what had happened to him after having used so much of his energy? *Belle needs to put her APL in her sig* The two of you were having quite the time visiting the old days. Meanwhile, the fog remained think and heavy. It was impossible to see to the past your ankles. There was no telling what was on the ground. Hell, for all you knew, there could be a bunch of treasure or something right next to you... probably not, but there could be. Anywho, as the two of you conversed while walking, Malak stumbles, and falls to his face. Something had caused him to trip. What was it? A small bird was wandering around on the ground, scavenging for food. Malak didn't notice it, and it didn't notice Malak. Now, the bird was ruffling its feathers, in an attempt to regain its bearings. It would likely try to run away once it had realized what had happened. ![]() level 9 18/18 |

((Crap post alert!)) Ignoring the fact that neither of them were moving, Malak suddenly tripped over something in the deep fog, falling face first into the water. "What in the bloody hell just tripped me!?" His emerald eyes frantically looked about, peering through the mist to find a small bird that looked very similar to a Pidgey. And for the first time in his journey, Malak pulled out his pokédex and pointed it at the bird. 'Mukkuru, the grey starling Pokémon' Was what the small red device said as Malak stood up, water dripping off his drenched form. "Well, I don't have my electric type with me, and my Lunatone is far to young to take that thing on..." The young trainer noted the level indicated on his Pokédex, level nine... there was no way that his Lunatone would be able to stand up to something that strong only being level three. [crappy post too:D] I could see Morana eying the bird hungrily, her eyes undaunted by the billowing fog. A dark gleam was present, and I could guess exactly what she was thinking -- after all, according to my sources, she had already eaten one back at that Malrai District. Tastes like Pidgey indeed... "No." Morana scowled. "Can I at least beat the crap out of it or somethin' then?" "Go ahead, but no killing or maiming." "Righto!" Morana said, springing towards the bird Malak just tripped on. Crap mod! With the presence of not one, but two people, the small bird knew that she didnt stand a chance. With the fog rolling in even thicker, it would provide cover for her getaway. She took to the air, with the greatest of ease, and flew off before the Sneasel could gain its bearings on its new surroundings. Just liek that, the pokemon had come and gone. This was quite the opposite of what would have happened elsewhere. It seemed these pokemon would take work to fight and catch. |

Malak watched with his emerald hued eyes as Morana leaped into the air, preparing to rain down an icy torrent onto the strange new bird that had attacked them. But, at the last second, the avian took flight, fleeing the battle before the wicked Sneasel could do her thing. "Man, you guys attract some strong Pokémon, I may have to travel on my own to train these lower guys I have with me." He gave Belle and Morana a wry smile before waving goodbye. "Try not to kill too many things now." Slowly, his form faded away into the fog as a slight laugh filled the air. ~*~ "Well, let's see what this place has to offer..." With his eyes sweeping over the thick mist all around him, the young trainer reached for a ball that was resting on his left wrist. In a flash of ivory light, the form of a small fish came to life in the marshy grasses. "Hey, could you scout ahead to make sure I don't fall into a pitfall?" The grayish blue fish gave his trainer a smile and nod before swimming out in front of Malak, his sensitive whiskers watching for any sort of pitfall. Along with training him, this was the reason Malak had brought Totchi with him, he would make an excellent scout for a foggy marsh. Things were quiet as Malak and his Barboach searched through the marsh. The murky water was calm, unrippling, and the fog made it very difficult to see. Suddenly, Barboach stopped. It seemed to have noticed something, and it began to look up into the trees. As Malak stopped too, he heard the noise. It was a sort of soft, methodical crunching. After a brief scan of the surroundings, the culprit could easily be spotted. A Wurmple was perched near the top of a small tree, eating a few dead leaves. It was looking at you, quietly, not sure what to do. It seemed to know that it wouldn't be able to escape easily, so it didn't really bother trying. As it thought, it slowly munched on some leaves. This particular Wurmple, interestingly enough, seemed quite fat and large, like it might be preparing to form a cocoon. ![]() Level 6 12/12 |

"Well hello little guy." Malak gave the Wurmple a reassuring smile as he tried to peer through the mist. "Don't worry, I don't attack wild Pokémon unless they attack me first, or unless they want to battle." He then knelt down and gave Totchi a light pat on the head for being such a good guide through this potentially deadly fog. "If you know, could you point us in the direction of... um..." The young trainer stopped in the middle of his sentence before looking down and fidgeting with his new Pokétech. "the uh... sanded grasslands?" His emerald eyes swept around once more before fixing on the Wurmple, hoping that it could telling Totchi so that he could lead them out of this blasted fog. The Wurmple looked at you. Then it stopped to take a brief bite out of a life. Then it looked at you again. It became pretty clear that it had no idea where the Sanded Grasslands were, since it had spent its entire life within about 100 yards of where it was right then. As it continued eating, it seemed to almost be getting larger by the second. At one point, you could hear a faint creak, as if the tree was no longer able to hold all of its weight. It seemed like only a matter of time before the Wurmple's perch broke and it would fall into the water. However, none of this did anything to stop it from continuing to eat. |

With a heavy sigh, Malak gave the Wurmple a smile before lowering himself down to the level of his Barboach. "You may want to reinforce your branch, it sounds like it is about to break." He looked up at the Wurmple once more as he spoke before motioning Totchi to lead the way once more. "Boach!" Smiling up at his trainer, Totchi started to swim ahead, making sure to watch out for any sort of hole in the ground. After all, a wet trainer is an unhappy trainer! There was much for Malak to do as he followed his Barboach through the fog, his boots clunking through the water with each step. Oh how he was still glad that he had water proofed his boots... they would have been full of water and mud by now had he not... The bug pokemon eats on, not paying any further notice to you or the branch; poor bugger is gonna get wet soon. Oh well. As you continue your trek through the marshes, your attention is caught by a high-pitched chirping; sound carries far in foggy weather, and it's hard to detect it's source. You eventually get a general idea of the direction, however, and begin to move that way. As quick as it had started, as soon does it stop, however, and you find yourself standing still surrounded by muck and water - and what appears to be a thorny bush a bit away from you. Totchi glides over towards the bush; seems like he's realizing something you didn't. You follow after him ... and find yourself staring at three feathered heads with very, very large black eyes. Three hungry beaks open to impossible sizes as the baby 396's scream for food; the high-pitched chirping resounding through the fog. Unknown to you at this point, the cries have caught another entity's attention ... Level 4 369 x3 8/8 |

Slowly but surely, Malak followed his Barboach though the fog ridden marsh, trying his best not to fall into any sort of large hole. Having a water type in the lead was helping, but anything could still happen at anytime... it was after all, the way the world worked. And then, the young trainer heard the cries of what sounded like small bird of some kind, most likely recently hatched from their eggs. But, the cries did not last long, but he had acquired their general direction, and with Totchi as a look out, made his way to a large bush. Inside the random piece of foliage, Malak found three smaller versions of the bird he had tripped over earlier. It was easy to tell by their cries and motions that they were very hungry, most likely waiting for their parents to return. "You guys really should try and be quiet, you never know what you'll attract." His voice was soft and kind as he peered into the nest, a smile upon his face. Malak was trying to make the best of his new situation, refusing to give up his lofty standards, and that meant trying to help these little guys, even though he had just met them. There were many dangers in a foggy marsh like this, danger able to come at you from any direction at any time. With this in mind, the emerald eyes of the trainer swept the fog around him as he took a few steps back from the bush before looking down at his Barboach. "Totchi, stay on alert, I fear their cries may have attracted something wishing to eat them." Totchi cocked his head at his trainer, trying to understand why he was talking the way he was... For the little amount of time he had spent with this human, he had come to know him as a fast talking, short temped, and always ready for action. But now, he was acting and talking rather calmly, almost as though he truly cared for these wild Pokémon... Pokémon he had never even seen until a few hours ago... But still, he was still Malak at the core, and so, the small fish closed his eyes and tried to feel the water around them. From within the fog it stalked closer and closer towards the chirping birds within the bush. They haad indeed drawn in a feirce predator that was known to feast upon the helpless hatchlings of these new species in these parts. The unknown beast began to move closer, coming up to the bush just alongside your own Barboach. The water Pokemon splashed water about and made some noise to get your attention. At once you could see, feintly through the dense fog the sight of the predator that aimed to kill these baby Pokemon. It was a Paras the the insect's claws clicked wildly as it pinched the air. He threatened your Barboach and made for the bush. You'd best act swiftly, this hunter was on the prowl and about to strike. ![]() Level 6 12/12 |

((Yay for hopeless situations... thanks for killing my posting initiative Dante...)) Slowly, a small form emerged from the dense fog, an ominous clicking sound rising over the hungry cries of the baby birds behind him. And soon, the form came into focus, its orange skin and protruding fungus easily giving it away as a Paras. "Great... the one Pokémon that I have no chance of beating..." With a heavy sigh, the young trainer looked about for anything he could use against the predatory insect. There was nothing he could do against this Paras, but he couldn't run away either. It was against his nature to simply leave those in need of his protection... and he would help them! "Back off bug boy!" The young trainer reached for where he usually kept his guns, only to find them missing. Out of sheer desperation, Malak reached into the thorny bush without a second thought, pulling out a branch. It was all he had to use, and he would whack the paras with it if it came to that! "Totchi... stay back... one grass attack from that guy will easily knock you out!" "I... usually... hate doing this... but, you asked for... it." Barely able to form a coherent sentence through the waves of shocks ravaging his body, Malak dropped the stick he had risked injury to grab. The Paras was agitated. It was being harassed and beaten up by a group of pokemon that could easily have defeated it on their own. It was appalled at the lack of honor shown by their trainer. As Girafarig and Poochyena began to charge, it let out a yell. "Paraaaas! Paraaas!" it cried as it began to shake its body. Many small spores escaped covering the entire area. Poochyena and Girafarig were hit first, and they dropped straight down, going fast asleep. You looked towards Lunatone, hoping it would attack, but then your eyes began to droop. You were nudged awake by your Poochyena. You realized that you were laying on the ground. As your rubbed your eyes and stood up, you assessed the situation. All of your pokemon were present, awake and not injured any more than before. However, the Paras was gone. Being terribly outnumbered, it hadn't bothered to try to fight. Instead, it had simply fled, long gone by now. |

((The post is crap because I was left with next to nothing to rp with...)) "Selene, do you know what happened?" Shaking the water from his fur, Raku glanced about the fog covered area before looking at his companions. He had woken up before the rest of the crew thanks to the ability he was born with. The Paras blasted you guys with a Spore attack when you rushed him. Selene's voice reached out into the minds of her companions as she looked about, having been the only one not knocked out. It is damp and icky out here, please wake him up so I can go back to my ball... Thrai glanced about a few times as he woke up, the water simply rolling off his gleaming fur. "Hey stupid... wake up!" The young puppy rammed his nose into the side of his trainer's face in an attempt to wake him up. He was tired of being wet, and wanted to be recalled. "Damnit Thrai... five more minut..." And then, it occurred to him, he had just been in a battle with a Paras when his world went dark. "Well, at least it left us alone..." Malak shook his head before recalling everyone but Totchi, for he was still needed to navigate the the bog. After getting to his feet, the young trainer walked over to his paralyzed fish, spraying a tonic on his skin. And then, he looked back at the bush, hoping against hope that they were still alive... that his efforts had been enough to scare the Paras off. As brushed back the bushes, you could once again hear the small chirping of the Mukkuru. They all appeared to be where they were before, hidden in the bushes. The Paras seemed to have decided to flee as fast as it could once it had been attacked. It seemed like it wasn't that great of a hunter after all. The little birds continued to chirp, louder and louder, apparently still hungry. They seemed not to have learned their lesson one bit. It seemed obvious that these pokemon would not last long if they were left to their own devices. It would only be a matter of time until another pokemon, or maybe even the same Paras, came to eat them. Your Barboach ran up the little bird pokemon to investigate them, and their yelling only became louder. Mukkuru Level 4 8/8 x3 |

"For crying out loud... do these little guys want to be eaten?" Malak's emerald gaze looked about the fog masked landscape, hoping to find some way to protect these baby birds. "And where the bloody hell are their parents?" His right fist then slammed into his left palm in frustration when an idea hit him. He gave a smirk to Totchi before reaching down and feeling the mushy earth. "Totchi, could you dig a trench around this bush?" It was such a simple plan... if the parents of these Mukkuru could indeed fly, a pit fall surrounding their nest wouldn't effect them much... but the same couldn't be said for anything that had to walk. "Barboach!" With a smile in his eyes, the small water fish dove down into the the muddy earth, and began to swim in circles around the bush. Each pass made the trench deeper and wider, slowly forming a trap to provide at least a little defense to these unprotected chicks. Malak had walked to a nearby boulder outside the trench and sat down, hoping to dry off while waiting for the parents to return. "What kind of parents leave their small children all alone?" He shook his head as his rhetorical question drifted out into the foggy air, unlikely to get any form of answer. The flapping of wings resounded out and a small Pidgey landed upon the branch where the nest was. The beak opened as it began to pick apart the nest, pulling the twigs it saw fit for it's own nest out carefully, nestling them within her beak. It noticed you and tried to be as quiet as possible, her eyes shifting to you occasionally in a nervous manner. ![]() Level 7 14/14

Malak merely gave a sigh as he reached for an orb on his ball, releasing the Pokémon within. "Selene, get that thing away from the nest with a Psychic Rock Throw... and please try to miss the Mukkuru..." Such an insolent bird, robbing a nest full of baby birds, and with him sitting only a few feet away. "Totchi, blast it with a HydroPump once it gets away from the nest." This second round of orders were much lower, and seemingly to nothing as the trainer looked at the water surrounding the nest. With a calm nod of her body, Selene's eyes began to glow a vibrant blue as several rocks came erupting from the watery ground below her, covered in an eerie rainbow light. And then, the attack sped forth, propelled and expertly aimed by a psychic attack. Unbeknownst to the Pidgey, a form lurked in the mud below her, gathering water for a mighty attack sure to send her for a loop. Totchi had heard his trainer's orders, and now had his gaze locked on the thistled bush, ready to fire upon any Pidgey that came out. ![]() Level 5 10/10 ![]() -Hydropump on the Pidgey if leaves the nest. ![]() level 3 6/6 ![]() -Psychic (aiming only) -> Rock Throw vs ![]() Level 7 14/14 ![]() -Stealing the nest! Perhaps the Pidgeys biggest blunder was keeping its attention at you, regarding you as the bigger threat while your Pokemon were free to sneak up on it unawares. The moon thingy well, it looked like the moon, and thus didnt give Pidgey enough alarm to notice it as it took aim with its creepy blood-red eyes and begin hailing boulders its way. The tiny bird shrieked in alarm from the sudden attack, and got pinned to the muddy earth, where another hidden attacker waited. It wasnt until the oncoming gush of water sending the tiny bird flying once more did it notice it was your Barboach thingy playing sniper. And by then it was too late and too redundant, was it? Them bird wont be comin near these parts nmore. Pokemon gain 0.9 :exp. |

"Good job you two." With a slight smile, Malak recalled Selene before turning his gaze back to the the nest. "Totchi, that was great aim on your part, keep playing in the mud." Malak's smile was bigger this time as he noticed his Barboach flopping about in the muddy water at the base of the bush. He gave his trainer a nod before diving into the muck, his slick form easily sinking until just his eyes were protruding from the mud. Barboach was in the mud, feeling at home and pretty good about himself...I guess that qualifies him to get a bit happier. So I'll reward him with 1 for just living the dream. Unfortunately what followed next was anything but happy, or even the same ballpark as anything relating to wellness or happiness. In fact it was flat out...aweful. Horrible even. This impossible act of evil; or so it seemed, was nothing more than one species trying to outlive the other. Do not mistake this for ill will or even evil itself. No, fear not my young adventurer this was nothing more than nature. But oh how evil the wrath of nature can be. From underneath the bush it slept, always sleeping and biding its time for when the time was right. This demon travelled in the muddy earth, sloshing through the slime of not only itself but the wastes and mud from all around it. The said creature had stalked up to the bush unknown by anything for who could've guessed such an evil even existed. Now mind you I did say that the following horrendous act was not evil but nature...but I never said that the demon who was truly acting out the nature of the world, was not evil. Truth be told, this Pokemon, this demonic slime was anything but kind. As you and your Pokemon stayed on guard, being the good citizens that you were, the demon struck. Its thick, purple body seeped through the bush and poured out over everything inside of it. All of the Starly within were consumed and their frantic chirps for help carried on the feint winds. They echoed in your ears and consumed you almost the way the demon did the very baby Pokemon. It would seem all was lost as the slime expanded and convulged on the hatchlings...but it was not so. One Starly flapped with all its might and through sheer innate sense of preservation, the bird flew forth from within the demon. Bursting through its pink membrane-like body, Starly flew into your arms, covered in terrible sludge. Chirping the hatchling fell to the ground, its wings unable to sustain itself after hitting your chest softly. Sprawled out on the ground it chirped in agony, tryying to run and roll around though unable to do anything other than thrash about in agony. I say agony because believe it or not the sludge that covered this poor creature was beginning to corrode the Pokemon alive. The acidic qualities seemed to be digesting and melting away at the poor bird. Starly was gone in a few moments and you watched it all. You watched as the slime on the ground that had eaten away the Pokemon melded with the soft muddy ground. Staring on in rage and probably shock you watched as the demon glared at you and your own Pokemon. It seems that now that it was up and about, one small meal of Starly was not enough. This Pokemon, this demon was a monster. A fiend. An unforgiving blob of filth. A Grimer.... ![]() Level 5 10/10 -Uncatchable- |

((Tad has to be my next mod.)) "You... YOU MONSTER!" Malak's eyes flared with anger as he watched the horrific scene before him, tears flowing freely down his cheeks. His fists had clenched so tightly, that blood had started to trickle down his arms. He had just been forced to watch a poor baby Pokémon die by the hands of a foul fiend who only cared for its self... a monster who's only goal was to slime through life eating anything he could. "Totchi... WIPE THIS THING FROM EXISTENCE!" Totchi could do little but stare at his master through the mud as he recovered from the shock of what he had just seen... something that no one should ever have to see first hand. "Bar...BOACH!" His anger had boiled over much like his master's just had. With a surge of emotion and power, the small blueish gray fish erupted forth from the mud, his form gleaming in the sun. His eyes were glazed over in fury as he reached his peek, a fluid front flip staring. Using his falling momentum, Totchi was going to execute the strongest Earthquake he had ever used. "Selene... help Totchi... blast that monster away with your mind!" The anger in the young trainer was subsiding, but a feeling of impending doom was creeping up his spine. His emerald hued eyes did not even flinch as his Lunatone emerged into the marsh once more with a flash of light. This monster shall not survive this battle... Selene's thoughts were filled with anger as her glowing crimson eyes locked onto the Grimer... she was going to vaporize it with her powers. This act was not nature... nature was taking what you needed to survive, there was no need for the Grimer to have wiped the entire clutch out. ![]() Level 5 10/10 ![]() -Earthquake ![]() Level 3 6/6 ![]() -Psychic vs ![]() Level 5 10/10 ![]() -? And by the powers of the dark world, a startling revelation unfolds When the golden light shines and reveals new life And jewels of every hue lighten to behold The beginning of another eternity of strife The Golden Orb of Shininess awakens, shaken to life by means unknown And rises to the heavens with a life of its own With naught but one purpose in its evanescent existence To demand retribution and claim due penance From thine creatures foolish It exists to kill. And with that, the relic from the underworld explodes from its container, its golden glow like the light of heaven, raining down on the fallen and weakening the demon. The Grimer hissed in dismay, forced to witness such a powerful sight. And then it happens: a crack appears on the solid gold. Chipping away piece by piece what was it, cheap gold plating? No apparently, your golden orb was actually an egg. An egg OF EVIL. Painful screeching emerges from the fissures, breaking every eardrum and glass within range. The sludge shudders from the pure evilness of the sound but so does everything else. And through the cracks something moves around inside, spilling bright white Around and burning everything it touches. Your Pokemon flow around in fright and retreat back to you while the show continues, and Grimer tries to do the same, but gets caught in one of the spilling lights. And the claw of retribution emerges and cuts down the infidel. The dark sludge splits, and every particle in its form turns to dust. The claw rises and destroys the rest of the irksome egg imprisoning it, leaving only the colored jewels. Six of them total, of ruby, sapphire, emerald, amethyst, onyx and topaz embed themselves on the beasts form: red on right front paw, blue on left, green on right back paw, purple on left; black on top and white in the middle. Blood red irises rise to glare at the human with a wickedness that no other creature in this world could possess. Coming from an otherworldly plane where the dead could come back to life, that was understandable. It raised its paws, the precious minerals in its skin glowing faintly, and from its maw, a single word spilled to reach the humans ears. Old, ancient and EVIL. Helooooooo ((Congrats. Your dark orb hatched into a decorated male Sneasel. Since I got it approved before the change, its at LV 5, though it doesnt hurt asking Grin again. And because you had me hatch it ahead of time, it has 2 anger points. Not that it hates you, just that its going to pretty much have its way with you and not listen to orders. Those jewels help it speak, because I was bored and tired and went through all the trouble making a poem and stuffs, but theyre fragile, and if theyre destroyed, Sneasel thing loses its power to speak. And something really bad happens. ENJOY. And P.S: The orbs light revived the little birds and killed the Grimer.)) |

In the split moment before Totchi and Selene attacked, the orb which Malak had been given in the underworld suddenly left his bag, floating in mid air. It soon began to crack, a brilliant light spilling out into the foggy marsh, amplified by the moisture in the air. The light shot in all directions as more and more of the golden surface fell away, quickly engulfing the entire area in light. "What in the hell?" Malak looked around as the light died down, his gaze falling upon his two Pokémon next to him. Then it hit him, the Grimer was gone, and the baby Starly were alive once again... had the light reversed their fortunes? And then there was the Sneasel standing before him, its dark skin off set by the wondrous jewels embedded within. Selene cowered behind her trainer along with Totchi, this creature scared them more than anything they had ever experienced before... there was something wrong with it... "Hello to you too." The young trainer had managed a smile at the Sneasel... not even fear could over come the excitement he was feeling. Warning... you have exceeded the maximum number of allowed Pokémon, please select one to send to the nearest PC. A mechanical voice came from the watch upon Malak's wrist as his emerald gaze fell down upon it. "Ok... I chose then... Gastly egg..." It is done. The voice spoke once more as the ghostly violet egg vanished from the young man's bag in a flash of some unknown technology. "You are telling me that I have been brought back to this world to serve a... HUMAN!?" The Sneasel glared at Malak with its crimson eyes before looking about the foggy marsh all around it. "So be it... but if you gain my ire, you will regret it..." Barely above a hiss, these words reached the ears of the human before him, clearly conveying his distaste before having to serve him. Malak took a close look at the adorned Sneasel glaring at him, a smile coming to his lips. "If you'll allow me, I'd like to name you Bale... it can mean several things... all of which fit you." He gave a slight laugh before allowing his emerald eyes to lock back onto Bale, a smile clearly crossing his features. "Evil, harm... misfortune or even woe, misery and sorrow." "Hahahaha... I like it!" Bale's words were at a shout as he walked over to his new 'trainer', a cold glare drifting to the Lunatone and Barboach hiding behind him. "And, who are they?" Malak recalled Selene as he began to speak once more, issuing a a calming hand gesture to his frightened Barboach. "The Lunatone is Selene, and Totchi is the Barboach... I have many other allies, but I am training my weaker Pokémon at this time." "Great... I get called to this world to serve a human using his b team?" These were the Sneasel's final words before he walked up to his trainer, quickly reaching into his pocket, touching a ball to his dark skin. In a stream of red light he vanished, his dark form being taken away from the soggy marsh. Malak couldn't help but laugh at the predicament he was in... he had finally gotten a Sneasel... but there was something obviously wrong with it... a deep seeded evil lurking within its dark heart. But, he still had to watch these born again Starly until their parents returned, his conscious would not allow him to simply leave them. Summary: Bale hatched from his orb... er... egg, the light killed the Grimer and revived the baby Starly. Two of the Starly are in the next, one is on the ground next to the boulder Malak is sitting on. Everyone but Totchi (the Barboach) has been recalled, and Malak has ressumed waiting for the parents to arrive so he can leave. And eventually they do
two great winged beasts come, their shadows swooping over the trainer and the nests and the boulder. At once, all of the little Starly chicks come to life, chirping ecstatically at the arrival of their parents. And the two birds, as happy as they were to seem them again, were not so happy with the presence of the human. To remedy the problem, they both teamed together to make a very powerful Whirlwind attack that blew the trainer off the rock and into the next area. Despite the lack of gratitude, the trainer can feel comfortable knowing the little ones were safe and his task accomplished. So

"Oi..." Shaking his head, Malak stood up out of the mush he had landed in. His emerald gaze drifted across the foggy landscape... something had definitely changed. The ground was still covered in a sheet of water, and Malak's wet clothes could attest to that, but the mist was starting to fade. Rather than only being able to see five inches in front of him, the young trainer could see a whole ten! "Totchi, I'm still gonna need you to make sure I don't fall into any holes." Giving his Barboach a smile, Malak knelt down to the small gray and blue fish, giving it a few light pats on the head. Totchi smiled back to his trainer, his whiskers reaching out into the air before he dove into the muddy earth. His trainer was relying on him, and he would not let him down! "Ok Totchi, we need to be heading..." Pausing briefly, Malak looked down at his Pokétech as he accessed the map feature. "that direction!" His words were full of excitement as he realized just how far the two large birds had sent him. Either way, his arm was pointing north, toward the city of Brightopolis. Totchi moved through the tough dirt, the wetness of the mud helping it to manuveur through the valley, but his trainer wasn't having such a good time. The mist confused him; it lay like a thick veil, clouding his senses and his vision. The Poketech helped, but not much. The direction he headed was the right now, but he strayed slightly to the right. Pokemon moved here quickly, scurrying from place to place, escaping from this human. It wasn't because Malak was extremely strong or something, but it was because they rather be doing what was needed instead of battling with a trainer. If he made a little more effort into finding a Pokemon, maybe only then would he be able to train with them. He reached the Sinkholes 1. On the East side. If he were to walk straight, he'd reach the Soggy Hillside. |

((Air... I don't think you understood how Malak was using his Barboach... He was always keeping Totchi in sight, following him so he wouldn't fall into a hole or get off track...)) Looking about, the young trainer smiled as the fog began to lighten even more. He could now see fairly well in this mush ridden valley, and could hear the sounds of rustling Pokémon. "Sheesh... did someone taser all the wild Pokémon in the ass or something?" Malak gave a slight laugh before looking down at his map, trying to figure just where he had wandered to. "Well damn... seems I drifted east quite a way..." With a sigh, the emerald haired trainer turned west by north west, angling his path through the mush toward Brightopolis City. He had also noticed that the water was getting lower, and the mud was quite a bit firmer... was he getting near a dry area? Totchi on the other hand stopped moving as his trainer looked about, his sleek form happily flopping about in the mud. After having spent so much time at Malak's ranch... or rather, his parent's ranch, he was just happy to be able to stretch his fins and play in the mud. "Come Totchi, we'll be back to this place after we check in at Police HQ." The young trainer gave his Barboach a smile before walking on his new course. It was a lot easier than before, but his boots still stuck into the mud after every step, water splashing up his exposed shins. Once again leading his trainer, the small fish swam through the muddy water with ease, his whiskers scanning for any sink holes he would have to steer his trainer away from. For the first time since the Abra tree, he was being useful, he was finally able to prove to his trainer that he was a worthy Pokémon. Sink Lands. It was hard to move through it. Even with Totchic's guidance and expert movement through the mud, it didn't mean Malak has it any more easier. However, he managed to move more to the West side, but still he hasn't reached the Soggy Dirt landmark after one and a half hours. Totchi was tired. And guess what? Malak's even more exhausted. Take a rest somewhere? Or erm, choose to move forwards, struggling with the fatigue? It was okay though 'cause there was a just excuse to rest! A weed in front of Malak, just tingling a little. He can check it out AND have a rest at the same time. (: |

Both Malak and Totchi came to a stop as they came upon a moving weed in in the marshy earth... it seemed rather out of place. "Something tells me that thing is a Pokémon." The young trainer's words were slightly labored as he ushered his Barboach behind him. "If you don't want us to fight you, then we will simply be on our way." Malak gave the weed a smile before looking around for somewhere dry to rest. Both he and Totchi needed to rest, and night was coming. Moving around in a foggy marsh dotted with sink holes was undoubtedly a stupid thing to do... after all, it was already super hard to move around during the day. Okay, it was an Oddish and it didn't want to fight. D: You could have just attacked it with a vengeance! But never mind. Malak and Totchi moved a bit for a while, then finally, both of them found a place, where a layer of dry hard ground covering the surface. And guess what? It is on Soggy Dirt, but of course, Malak doesn't know what Soggy Dirt is. This patch of dry mud is exactly on the border of Soggy Dirt. Congratulations, you're one step towards Brightopolis! |

Feeling good that he hadn't attacked some innocent Oddish, Malak gave the little guy a smile before noticing a patch of dry earth just a little ways away. It seemed firm enough, perhaps he would be able to camp on it for the night? A few moments passed as the emerald haired trainer walked up to the patch of dirt, bending down so that he see if it was was a suitable place to set up camp. "This'll work..." He gave Totchi a smile before recalling his barboach in a stream a crimson light. "God this place sucks so badly..." Malak looked about the landscape before him and noticed that the fog was all but gone, and the area was starting to really dry up. "I miss the days when wild Pokémon would attack you just for being human." An audible sigh escape his lips as he shook his head an dumped the water from his boots. ~*~ "Well, at least my clothes are dry..." A few hours after having arrived that the are of dry dirt, the sky was now dark, and night had fallen for the first time in this strange new land. This region known as Opaddeka sure was strange... the landscape was completely different from anything he had ever seen in Legacy, and the wild Pokémon were so cautious. In a massive flash of light, the young trainer released all five of his companions, a food dish for each one laid out before the fire. "Eat up guys, we still got quite a ways to go tomorrow." He gave each one a smile before his gaze landed upon Bale, who was of course, glaring at him, and gave him a taunting smirk. "What the hell is this crap!?" Taking a bite of the food nugget, Bale spat it onto the ground as he glared at his new 'trainer' and looked around to the other Pokémon he would be traveling with. "I deserve better than this..." He gave an angry sigh before sitting down to slowly finish off the rest of his food. Mystery egg: 20/33 Landmark: Soggy Dirt (switching over to Sanded Grasslands) Heading to: Brightopolis |
