Hi everyone and happy holidays! I came across this sight as I was researching Parrotlets. What beautiful little big birds they are! This sight gave me a lot of very valuable information. I am currently thinking of adding a parrotlet to our family and am wondering if anyone has any advice. I currently have an 8mos. old Sun Conure and I have no clue if introducing a parrotlet to it would be at all wise. I Know my Sydney has quite the big personality and is very sassy. I do not want Syd to feel like we have abandoned her or be jealous. Does anyone have any advice for me? Or is getting a parrotlet out of the question?? Thank you!

Since you guys like pictures so much, here is one of Sydney from just a few weeks ago. She is changing colors fast, but still just a baby!

My opinion is why not go for it! I think most of us here have more than one bird..be it Parrotlets or Greys or Conures, etc...

I think your Sun will adjust...

And welcome to the forum!!! Good luck with your decision and keep us posted please!!! :)

Hello anmd welcome to the forum ( Merry Christmas) Sure you can add another bird just not in the same cage and supervise out of cage time until you see how they do.

Hello and welcome to the forum :) i have never kept a conure so i have no idea about their temperaments but if you get the parrotlet sooner rather than later they might get along, but then they might not. but you will always need to keep a close eye on them as the conures beak is very large compared to the parrotlet and could quite easily hurt or even kill the parrotlet.
