Hi I was wondering if this cage was too big for a single parrotlet. http://www.petcentreonline.co.uk/ecommerce...product~148.htm Im not recommending this site just using it as an example. Thanks |

I would love to have that size cage for my parrotlets. If you have the room I would say go for it! |

There's certainly plenty of room for toys in that cage
 As with a lot of things, it's purely a personal choice. We found that when our P'lets were new, a large cage scared them & they preferred the security of a smaller cage. Now they've been with us for a while we're getting them a bigger cage (at least 20" x 20" base). It's a lot of money to lay out & find out that they're intimidated by the size of the cage. Then again, they might love it in there. It's really up to you. nod nod2 |

Wow that's a big cage and if you have the room that's great but as Andy said sometimes when they first arrive they are a little afraid of a huge cage. I tried putting my Green Cheeked Conure in a huge cage once because It was empty. He was absolutely terrified and wouldn't come off the side of the cage. I tried adding a lot of extra toys but he still wouldn't come off even to eat he hung on the side of the cage. I put him back in his normal cage and he was as happy as could be. It's certainly a very nice cage and you will be able to put LOTS of toys in it. |

Looks like fun. You can put MANY toys, rope perches, swings of all sizes, coconut toys etc. in there. Big boings too. I put toys all the way down in my cage, you will have fun furnishing that cage! If it is a baby Parrotlet, you need to start with a small cage. Don't want them to fall. Posted Image |

the bar spacing is fine on these cages as they are designed for budgies and smaller birds. it is a seriously big cage though eek. :) |

That’s a nice cage! I wish I would have gone bigger when I bought Cricket’s. If you have the room for such a large cage then I say go for it too! Just think of all the “stuff” you can put in there!!!! :) |
