I am looking for a breeder too...I found a few breeders near me, but they either don't return emails or don't have any available right now. I live in Minnesota and would like to preferably find someone here, but if I have to have one shipped, I would~more as a last resort (I just worry about the cold weather here for shipping). Does anyone know a reputable breeder that has any blues or greens available right now?? And I know it's a long stretch...but does anyone just so happen to know anyone in Minnesota/western Wisconsin?? Thanks! |

Hi....I am in the Twin Cities! I know of 2 reputable parrotlet breeders in the area.... This guy is in Maple Grove....I've heard great things about him. He has many birds available right now. Click on "Parrotlets available now". http://www.petriesparrotlets.com/ This gal is also a breeder....she is in Becker, MN. Click on nursery. http://www.corkystoys.com/ Both of these breeders are very nice and good about responding to emails! Good luck in your search! |

I know of a few breeders, no idea if they have anything available now, but they're all here in Florida. Just an FYI about shipping: You really have to plan ahead, most airlines have weather restrictions on shipping livestock. They won't ship if it's too cold or too hot because the cargo area (even the pressurized part for animals) doesn't have great climate control, and they don't want the liability. They also can't guarantee that your critter won't end up sitting out on the tarmac waiting for who-know-how-long, either. What they consider "too hot" or "Too cold" isn't always the same for everyone though. |

I think a member of this forum, Barefootaviary, is from Minnesota. You might want to PM her and ask. She doesn't have any babies now but I think she will in a few months. |

Yes that's a very good idea Laura, besides that I think she may know a few more breeders in that area too. |
