Andy and I went to one of our favorite bird shops today, Omar's Exotic Birds. I took my camera along and they didn't mind my clicking away at the birds at all :) These are all baby birds, not yet weaned.

Scared little girl with the new Blue & Gold Macaw her parents just bought. They were also taking her pic and told her, "don't look scared or we won't take your photo!"

Not for anything...but that little girl should not have had that bird forced on her! eek.

I love the Blue and Golds and Scarlets! Beautiful birds...Of course I am partial to Macaws! LOL!

Awe that's too sad to see the little girl afraid of the bird. I agree with you Gail not everyone likes birds, daughter in law is terrified of them.

The poor little girl was complaining that the macaws claws were hurting her too, but the parents just wanted a photo of them. They had another little boy close to her age. It seems a Blue & Gold is a little large for these little kids. Obviously the bird is just for the parents!!!

And not to mention that bird has a freaking HUGE beak and could do some real damage in a matter of a second! Shame on her parents! eek.

Granted it is a baby but you have to remember that if he gets insecure on her arm they USE THE BEAKS TO HANG ON!!!

Yea, Kev, they do have a babyish look to them! You should have seen them getting hand fed. The syringe was huge, like a bicycle tire pump or something!!
This particular B&G was already talking, whenever I passed it would say "hello" :)
