My name is Danielle, and i live in Trinidad, West Indies. I'm going to be getting a pacific parrotlet this week :D, not sure about sex or age yet, but i am completely excited. I have some experience with parrots, I am proudly owned by one quirky, loveable, intelligent Amazon, one clownish, sweet B&G macaw, and one shy but adorable slate masked lovebird. I'm wondering what to expect with this little p'let. Will he/she be more like my lovie, personality wise, or more like my 'zon? I know that there is no way to pin down an individual bird's personality, but I am wondering about general species characteristics. I am totally excited about the new addition!! |

Hello and welcome to the forum. I think you will find out from a lot of parrolett owners they are definately a big parot in a little body. They have big attitudes and whether yours is a lover or a fiesty little one....only time will tell. |

Hi Dani and welcome to the forum. most people refer to parrotlets as miniature amazons but having never owned an amazon i wouldn't know if this is correct. they can be feisty, bossy and stubborn but they can also be fun, loveable, cuddly and down right silly so they have everything a bird owners wants but in a very small package
 would love to see pics of your birds kev :) |

Hi Dani, welcome to the forum! We have two parrotlets and they have completely opposite personalities. One is very feisty and bossy and the other is easy going. Can't wait to see pics of your new one and your other birds too! |

Feisty, bossy and stubborn, loveable, cuddly and down right silly Oh that sounds very much Amazon-ish  Evie, my Orange Wing, is the most stubborn, headstrong, bossy bird ever... but she is the sweetest, and just melts the heart when she calls me 'mama.' she is also the biggest clown, especially when she's playing with her toys. Now I'm totally looking forward to my new addition... i'll definitely read up to get an idea of what people's experiences have been like. Here are some pics of my beloved babies...
