Can parrotlets be housebroken so they don't poop on your shirt? How long are birds able to hold their needs?

I honestly think the smaller birds are harder to get not to do their poos on you. My conure gets me everytime but luckily with them being so small it doesn't make much mess. But I know a few people who have little birds that seldom if ever poo on them if they put them back on their perch. My large birds seldom ever poo on me unless I keep them with me too long but even then they crawl out on my knee and poo on the floor.

Dirt ... I have read where it's done...like Bonnie said it's probably easier for the bigger birds. Apparently your supposed to try and time the releases...then before you think they're going to go... take them back to the cage and wait for a drop...then praise like crazy. Or you can do like me, and have a few old shirts that are dedicated to your bird. That way they can poop, rip, shred, chew on them with no worries!
