beans loves to explore outside of his cage as you might of noticed from pics and vid, but whenever he is in his cage he just sits on the highest perch and only comes down for food and water. is this because he is still new and only been here for a week, or is something wrong, cuz I hear they are very funny and playful with there toys

Actually Cricket was the same way when I brought him home. He really didn't start playing hard (LOL!) until a few days after. As long as Beans is eating and drinking and active out of his cage, I'm sure he's fine!

I agree with Gail, just give him time and he will start playing with his toys.

i beleive that bean was a handraised so when hes in his cage he might not know how to play yet. now you can show him by playing and banging some of his toys WHEN hes inside his cage, and it wont be long before he gets the idea.
also everything is still new for the boy so theres no rush, let him gradually get used to the fact that he has to spend time in his cage by himself, and it won't be long before he entertains himself :)
