Hello there Belated Happy Easter. Haven't been able to use the Internet for a week angrey2 , is a relief to get back online :D. Been catching up with all your postings. Parrotlets are just THE most stubborn things arn't they - when they get a notion, they just won't leave it will they?! Has anyone else noticed this? Ica's new obsession is remote controls, that is biting off all the buttons on any remote control he can get his little beak on, preferably the coloured ones on the SKY remote!! If you've read my stuff before you will know that Ica is now really quite tame, but is totally finger ( & hand ) phobic. Well, he is currently SO obsessed with remote controls that he will tolerate a finger or two for a very short period of time in his quest to eat the remotes! He can be sat on the window at the other side of the room and if you forget and don't put the remote face down - he's over in an instant!!!! He is having a whale of a time at the moment because i have been off work, he's out all the time. I went to a friends wedding yesterday and had to fight for 30 mins to get him to go away!!!! left him in his cage doing parrotlet swearing at me! eek. This afternoon he flew through 2 rooms to find me in my conservatory, which he's never done before. He also now relates to all the family, which is brill, although he drives my teenage daughter nuts by keep trying to land on her hair when she's spent hours doing it!!! rofl2 Tracey |

hi tracey, stubborn i sometimes wonder if mine will ever understand " no, stop it, dont eat the window, let go of the budgies tail etc etc" they really do have a will of their own and it seems as soon as you try to stop them doing something, it makes them do it more, little monsters :) |

That's too funny about the remote..I hope the little guy never catches on to that...being that I have three of them! Nice to hear he's back to his old self. That's the only thing I hate about Birds...by the time you know that there sick...It's usually too late. Glad to hear he's back up to his head hunting self! |

Kiwi gets after the remote buttons as well  ! But only if they are in the area and she is bored :P The thing she does love is to go at the center wheel on my mouse :o ! While I'm using it  That, and when anyone on the family is on a laptop, she'll walk on the keyboard and follow the mouse cursor with her little beak  |

You know Boo Boo has the same fascination for remotes & mice!!! I use a trackball & if she's on the keyboard she just runs like hell across the keys & attacks it viciously
:o She's almost eaten through the cable so I have to dump her onto her playpen whenever I want to use the trackball  She's not too crazy re: the remote, but she still likes to chew the buttons. I guess it's because they're those "soft" buttons. I have an old remote that I don't use anymore, so I leave it by her playpen for her to attack when she gets the urge  |
