My wife and I have been looking into every type of parrot available and have decided that we will start off with a baby parrotlet. At the moment we are looking into cages and hope to make a purchase next week either 1,2,or 3. Any advice would be appreciated. |

Hi and welcome to the forum, If I was looking for a new cage I would go either for a large budgie cage or this type of cage Posted Image This is the type I have and found them to be the right size for one or two parrotlets, it may look big but they tend to use all their cage on theior climbing expeditions and when they are playing hard. |

Yes they do love their toys! I think my pancake is in love with his se-saw swing!!! I would recomend 2 though, 3 in a cage may be too much and as they say 2 is company... 3's a crowd! lol! |

One in a cage two in a cage but never three there will be fighting and one or more will be hurt, I would recommend one if you want to interact with them if you dont then two will be fine by themselves either sex pairs are fine unless you want to breed. I havee had pairs of males together with out much problem never had two girls together though. |

definetely only 1 or 2 in a cage, i made that mistake when i first got my parrotlets i got scooby and then got sky and when i went back to the shop she had another dark blue parrotlet in so i asked the person who owned the shop if all 3 would be ok and she said yes ,so i bought smurf, all 3 got on ok for a while and then sky and scooby started to attack smurf ,so i had to seperate them. it is shame that not many pet shops know much about parrotlets :( |

Good variety of birds, including large parrots down to finches with food cages toys etc. I only concentrated on the parrotlets. The owners are on holiday until next tuesday their web site is http://parrothouse.zoomshare.com mobile for Sue is 07834872749 from next week. I was served by Alan who gave me a lot of helpful information. Hope that help. |
