hi, does anyone elses parrotlet seem to hump their finger? my bird seems to land on my finger and then start rubbing himself on my fingers while turning and singing. it seems to be the same routine its kind of like this dance that he does. i actually find it real funny and it does not bother me, just seeing if anyone elses bird does something similiar to this? Also as of yesterday I think I may have noticed for sure he is a "boy" i could have sworn I saw something similar to a dog in a sense (although not pink and yet very tiny) that when he was done retracted into him? I actually thought it was a piece of his waste stuck on him but then it disappeared into him? I could been imagining this but I could of sworn I saw something? |

Yes your bird is trying to mate with you. I suggest you put him back in his cage or on his gym everytime he or she does this or it will happen evertime you take him out to play. Just say NO and put him away for awhile each time. |

If you think you saw a penis sorry but birds dont have them, ( or rather Most birds dont) males and females both have a cloaca which they bring together. if you want to know what it looks like turn him over and fan his feathers back so you can see, also do the same to see his ears they are just behind his head. If you do things like this he will get used to being handled. Heres what wiki has to say http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudo-penis |

when they mate the do push their cloacas out but I wouldn't think you could see it, In the past I saw Bubble and Squeak lots of time and I could never see anything. |
