hi, my name is gene.
i have a german shepherd mix, a bearded dragon, aquariums, gerbils, turtles, and hamsters.
however, i have never ever owned or raised a bird before in my life.
i've been doing some research and i was wondering if parrotlets are loud.
i have no problem with chirping but i was wondering if the noises that parrotlets make can go through walls?
i live in an apartment so it is important that i get a "quieter" bird. i do realize that all birds are loud. i work at a petstore and the african grey is ridiculous.
any information from someone with personal information is greatly valued! thanks a lot!

Posted Image Any bird makes noise but if you only get 1 Parrotlet you should be fine. They do have there moments of chattering, with two they bicker a bit between each other.

Welcome to the group

I have 3 parrotlets and the noise is not too great...
I find one cockatiel will make much more noise
than parrotlets...

Parrotlets are one of the quietest birds... saying that all birds can have their noisy moments. When i was deciding what bird to get i looked them up on you tube. I soon realised that a parrotlet scream is positively angelic compared to the others on there!

I would not say parrotlets are really noisy even though they like to sit and chunter to themselves for hours, but i find it quite nice
