I think Mint has turned into a little Houdinni... I was speaking on the phone and heard my tiels fluttering around took no notice... Stood up to moving around and who should be on the floor looking up at me but Mint... She had escaped from her cage.... Not threw the doors.. put by pushing one of those plastic feeder lids on the side of her cage up... Yes Ive even got it taped with tape... shes getting really clever! Going to have to adapt that now... giggle |

Yes I've had escape artist before too and ended up having to clamp it shut. Once they learn there is no stopping them. |

I guess I'm lucky Mochi likes his cage so much, whenever I have him out he always tries to get back to his cage (even now when he's clipped). He doesn't try to go home when I'm petting him or giving him an almonds though  |

Naboo is a an escape artist, with a speciality in breaking into the cockatiel cage. (he's found a part where he can just slip through the bars). As it turns out, this was quite fortunate when he managed to escape from his own cage. the swing door on his food bowl can't have been fully closed and he made a break for it. I was out all day and evening, crept in in darkness and covered the cages up trying not to disturb them. You can imagine the panic i felt in the morning when i took the cover off and he wasn't there eek I was almost hyperventilating when i heard a chirp from the cockatiel cage... sure enough he was in there on their swing, looking very pleased with himself. The poor 'tiels were clinging to the edge of their cage, desperate for him to go away. rofl |

Wow that could have been a very nasty escape if they had fought. |

I know! It took me about a day to stop feeling sick about it!!!! Luckily they are all used to each other, and have time out of the cage together. Naboo is always trying to make friends with them, but they're too scared if him! |

So I had my first problem with Mochi escaping (his door was open.) This morning I hear him chirping from what I thought was inside his cage, so I get up to uncover him and he's not in his cage and then I looked over to see him on this activity centre that I had put treats on last night for him to go explore. drats |
