I finally got around to taking some pictures of the kijiji bird I bought today. I renamed her Kevin (after the bird in the movie Up). The pictures aren't very good because she doesn't sit still for long, and even though I've only had her for less than a week she's already looking a lot nicer.

Just remember to keep her quarantined away from your other bird in case she has something that could hurt your other bird. Wash your hands well before touching Mochi. It would be best if they were in completely separate rooms.

Don't worry I've been keeping them away from each other.

And I've been washing my hands furiously whenever I've done so much as scratch Kevin, and I've been changing my clothes whenever she jumps up on me. She's landed on the back of my head a couple times and I showered before going back to see Mochi.

Unfortunately with cat sitting, they are in the same room but on opposite ends, and when I would take one out of their cage to play, I would lock the cat in a different bedroom.

I know ideally I should've waited another two weeks to get her (once the cat is gone) but I couldn't bare the thought of her stuck in her previous home an longer than she'd have to be.

I have a slightly better picture of Kevin.

This is a picture of her when she just finished having a bath- I was trying to get a pic of her bathing but she was done by the time I could get the camera.
It's a bit blurry because I hate using the flash (the good ones I've gotten of Mochi are a fluke)
