Just when I thought it was hopeless, Sweetpea comes out of her shell. She came out today very easy like, no chasing required. The whole time we had her out she sat on one or the other of us. She even peeped a few times. But here's how I know she is relaxing, her eyes were not pinned at all! She was looking around more and seemed calm. I have decided to read up on macaws, since what I have read says parrotlets think like one and think they are a big bird. Gotta get inside her head a little so I can understand her better. We got her a new toy and made another and she's playing more so YaY! 0163951 |

I think a lot of people make the mistake that because they are small they are not like a real Parrot like an amazon or grey or macaw, but they are, they do just happen to be a small version of a bigger Parrot. So they need the same care and discipline as any Parrot |

You might want to get a book on Amazons, as they're sometimes called miniature Amazons. Then again, I don't suppose there's much difference between Amazon and Macaw behaviour. |
