Here's my latest pet, a Normal Grey male budgie called Blue. I got him a week ago after giving up on a green singer (apparently they are almost impossible to find in England at the moment). I will have to try to take a few photo's of him during one of his more 'acrobatic' moments - hanging from the roof of the cage by his beak for eg :grey: :fart:

Hi Kevin

He's about 12 weeks old going by the markings on his head, and yes he should be a real beaut when he grows up a bit

The photo makes him appear a bit darker blue than he really is - I chose him instead of the other two he was with because of his colour, the others were both green and, with a pair of green birds already, decided on a bit of a colour-change. My other budgie is a very pale Lutino (yellow), I'll have to take a photo of her and post it. We used to have a pure albino (complete with pink eyes) but unfortunately she only lived for 4 years :(

I've virtually decided that my parrotlets are not going to do the talking thing though I haven't entirely given up hope yet, so I'm trying to teach Blue to talk instead - I will not tell you which words I'm going to teach him, but I just hope the vicar comes round for a visit :scared: giggle

Thanks everyone :)

Laura, his cere is already a sort of violet colour, but it doesn't show much in the photo. I'll have to get a full face shot of him if I can....
