Is it ok to use an air conditioning unit in the same room as a parrotlet? I'm melting and want to switch the air conditioner on! But I'll happily sweat it out if it's not good for the bird. Cheers, Neil. |

Manchester and air con ??? do you mean open the window ?????? Sorry Neil could not resist, as long as they are not in the full force of the air con I can't see a problem. My flats not very warm as the sun only shines in here from 7am until 10am as then the buildings opposite block the sun. |

We're in a 3rd floor (top floor) apartment and get the full force of the sun. I swear to god, it is much warmer in here than it is outside. It's unbearable. I'm getting the air con on now then. :) |

I have central air and it's never been a problem. Like everyone has said as long as they are not in the direct path of the air it's fine! |

I've heard of them but just not sure if they work or are worth putting them on. I do put a fan in the birds room but it's never directly blowing at any of them. I use them to keep air circulating but mostly for the noise at night in the summer. |

I went on ebay and seen what your talking about. I think just using a regular fan in the birds room would do the same thing. I use a regular fan not directed at any one cage but more to circulate the air. |

We use the central a/c to keep the apt around 70F and keep Kairi's cage on the opposite side of the room from the air vent. |
